naijapips02: I have read a lot of propagandas about how Alex Otti has transformed Aba to a paradise and as an Aba boy, I know most of these are nothing but fabricated news.
I have nothing against Otti. If anything, I want the best for my beloved Aba but we truly need to hold our politicians accountable.
100 days into Okezie's government, he constructed 27 roads. Okezie expanded faulks road. Okezie cleared up osisioma junction and built the first flyover in Abia state. Okezie invested and ensured Geometric commences operations to alleviate the power issues in Aba. Okezie began the modernization of Ariaria and ngwa road markets. I don't even want to go to Orji Uzor Kalu that opened up the entire Aba and built new roads all round Aba.
It's almost 1 year since after Otti took over. Please can we list the things he has concluded in his first 8 months? Umule road up to Tonimas is in a bad shape. Faulks road up to Ariaria is still in the state Okezie left it. The old express he poured coal tar on is less than 4kms. Emelogu road is less than 2kms. The Geometric power has absolutely nothing to do with Otti. Cameroon road, school road, Ehi road, these are inner roads that are less than 2kms. Putting street lights on these roads and taking pictures, is that what governance is about?
The real people in Aba are yet to feel the impact of Otti's government despite the numerous online noise making.
If you have evidence of serious work Otti has done in 8 months in Aba please post and let's compare with what his predecessors did in same time period.
the heart beat of Aba is off ngwa road.i don't know why nobody talked about the roads there.

GistMedia0: In a recent interview, former Nigerian football star Yakubu Aiyegbeni has revealed that he continues to receive messages and criticisms from fans, years after his infamous miss during the 2010 FIFA World Cup match against South Korea.
The moment, etched into football history, occurred during Nigeria's crucial group stage game against South Korea. With the score tied at 2-2 and a spot in the knockout stages on the line, Aiyegbeni found himself with what seemed like an open goal opportunity. However, to the shock of fans worldwide, he missed the chance, leaving Nigeria unable to secure the much-needed victory.
Despite this moment happening over a decade ago, Aiyegbeni expressed his surprise at the ongoing messages he receives about the miss. "I still get messages from people, different messages," he stated in the interview. "It's surprising how that moment still sticks with people, even after all these years."
The striker, who had a successful career playing for clubs like Everton and Portsmouth in the English Premier League, admitted that the miss was a tough moment in his career. "Of course, it was a big moment, and I wish it had gone differently. But in football, you have highs and lows," he remarked.

Darlingme: There's a lady cleaner in my office, who recently lost his eldest brother. They live in the same city, where she has no meaningful job, no accomodations, but his big brother is a multi millionaire. Who can fix her up in a jiffy, but according to the story, he wouldn't because they're step siblings and past record from her mom towards his mom, wouldn't let him help any of his step siblings. My questions are: Why is there too much hatred among step siblings? Isn't your father the root cause of your hurt? Why do you easily forgive your father, but can't do the same to his children? Why do we inherit enemies from our parents and don't want to let go? Why do men still choose to have children from different women knowing that their children might not love each other and might even give him much trauma in old age due to bitterness and hatred for each other? Is it same in other part of the world? What is your general opinion on a polygamous family?

mariahAngel: I watched a food blogger fry her eggs with unrefined Shea butter, and it looked really nice and golden, then I thought to myself this actually isn't such a bad idea, after all Shea butter is gotten from Shea nuts, rich in nutrients, and is bound to be healthy, since it melts at body temperature. Hmm! π€
I dare say it can even give butter (animal fat) a run for its money. π Shea butter should even be considered edible first, before any other use.
If I could get freshly made food grade Shea butter, I'd be very willing to try it.
Can you cook your meals with Shea butter? Would you be willing to eat a meal cooked with Shea butter?

Metrix147: A chieftain of Abia APC and a former chairman of Ohafia local government area, Hon. Barr. Emeka Uduma has praised the Senator representing Abia North District, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu for his outstanding performance as a member of the Nigerian Senate.
In an interview with ABN TV at the weekend, Hon. Uduma who recently returned to the APC said if Abia South and Central Senators were working like their North Senator, Governor of Abia would have less work to do.
Barr. Uduma who served as Ohafia council boss during the administration of Kalu as Abia governor described him as a wonderful Senator, noting that while he was not a Senator, he was still working to impact the people's lives.
While underlining that the Senatorial District is lucky to have the former Chief Whip of the Senate as its representative at the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly, he took a swipe at Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe from Abia south for not doing enough despite spending over 16 years in the senate.
"As far as I'm concerned, Orji Uzor Kalu is the best when it comes to project implementation across Nigeria. We hear reports, we hear news, the man has not rested. He has a large heart, I have worked with him from 1999 till date. It's because of him I came back to APC", he noted.
AllenSpencer: Iranian-backed militant group previously shot down an MQ-9 Reaper drone last November
Greg Norman By Greg Norman , Liz Friden Fox News Published February 19, 2024 1:48pm EST
Two U.S. officials have confirmed to Fox News that an Air Force MQ-9 Reaper drone crashed near Yemen after Houthi rebels claimed to have shot down an American aircraft.
"We can confirm that a U.S. Air Force MQ-9 crashed off the coast of Hodeidah, Yemen, and are investigating the cause," a U.S. official told Fox News.
The officials stressed that it was unclear if the Houthis were involved. If they are, it would be the second time since November 2023 that the Iranian-backed militant group has taken out a Reaper drone, which has a wingspan of 66 feet and costs about $32 million.
"In Hodeidah, the Yemeni air defenses were able to shoot down an American plane β MQ-9 β with a suitable missile while it was carrying out hostile missions against our country on behalf of the Zionist entity," Houthi military spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree said earlier in a statement, referencing Israel.
The drone crash comes as U.S. forces in the region continue to strike at Houthi targets in Yemen in response to the militants targeting commercial ships transiting the Red Sea.
Last year, the Houthis released a video showing an MQ-9 Reaper drone being shot down on Nov. 8.
"We can confirm that a U.S. military MQ-9 remotely-piloted aircraft was shot down off the coast of Yemen by Houthi forces," a senior U.S. official told Fox News at the time.
The official added that the aircraft was shot down while in international airspace over international waters off the coast of Yemen.
The Air Force says the Reaper drones are primarily used to collect intelligence but can also be armed with up to eight laser-guided Hellfire missiles.
The drones can run surveillance for several hours at over 25,000 feet; perform strike, coordination and reconnaissance against high-value, fleeting and time-sensitive targets; and operate remotely with two crew members β one pilot to control the drone and a crew member to operate sensors and guide weapons

Prigidypogodo: There's an igbo adage that goes "ana ama okwa mmili ozuzo" (dem dey fes forecast rain before falling" When you're about to go to somewhere important and you're not certain about the weather, you'll ask siri or "ok Google" about the weather. If the weather says there'll be a thunderstorm β what will you do? you'll get yourself an umbrella. β We suffered for a good 8 years under Buhari Apc, they destroyed everything they met from A-Z. but before buhari, igbos warned about the impending calamity of voting buhari but was ignored. Then after 8 years another person from same party with same ideology packaged himself to fix what his party Apc destroyed (funny isn't it ?) igbos saw through a man that did not even mention his plans for Nigeria to Nigerians. A man who saw campaign as flexing and dancing time instead of time to convince Nigerians on your manifestos. A man that believes in chop I chop politics. what did you expect ? igbos saw this and knew that it's gonna be a long 8 years and started stockpiling foods. trust me igbos used this past December to stockpile rice π mercilessly. personally me that have no money bought 8 bags of rice last Christmas and gave 3 bags to my parents 2 for myself the rest for FnF (normal family and friends) I know a man that stockpiled half trailer load of rice in his building warehouse. Infact rice was virtually everywhere in the east (if you like believe or not) people where stockpiling rice with 608 vehicles and so on. you'll be thinking it was for Christmas but it's getting clearer now. I know that the 3 bags I gave my parents will last more than a year (my parents and a house help) If a common man like me can purchase 8 bags you can imagine what rich men will purchase. This is not a bragging thread but we saw this coming and we got ready for it. I knew persons that sold their businesses too and traveled out to Canada and other European countries immediately Tinubu was declared. and they're not regretting it because no business person is selling on profit because no matter how much you sell, inflation and dollar rate will wipe off your profits in 24hrs and even enter your capital. So sorry but no sorry, you ain't hearing EBI NA MPAWA very soon in SE. we saw it coming. we knew it'll happen. and just like buhari it's happening as we predicted. should there be a protest today, SE will be the last to join.

Jewessgratitud3: I just remembered this Ghana bread from my childhood that was sold those days in ikoyi. It was a delight back then. we would always trouble my Dad to take us outside the gate every weekend to buy it for us because it looked different from the regular four corner bread π we were used to. It was kinda crusty and dusty but we enjoyed it anyways
Some Ghanaian guys were hawking it in a basin and would spread butter on it when you buy.
