CastedDude: The power of social media can not be over-emphasized. A newly wed lady identified as Chinyelu has revealed how she met her heartthrob/husband Ifeanyi via social media in the United State. According to her, Ifeanyi was going through his social media account when he saw her lovely photos on one of his friend’s pages. He was mesmerized and decided to drop her a message. Read what she shared below;
It was truly unexpected for me to meet Ifeanyi. I had just moved to Atlanta, GA and was at a point in my life where I wanted to focus on myself and get adjusted to my new city. All of my friends and family knew that I didn't care for blind dates. So, if they wanted me to meet someone, I told them to have them contact me via social media. That way, I can see his picture and decide if I wanted to respond or not. On August 4, 2014, I received a message from Ifeanyi who is a great friend of one of my bridesmaids. He saw a picture of me and my good friend, and thought I was beautiful.
It wasn’t until he told me he was a University of Miami Hurricanes fan (my college’s rival) that I became intrigued. I ran track at Florida State University and love my alma mater, so why would anyone want to be a University of Miami fan? I clearly had to find out why. Since then, we continued to message each other back and forth and I was starting to like what I saw in his personality.
After a while, we decided to talk on the phone and our conversations then became even more heartfelt and meaningful. In November, while I was visiting family and friends in Houston, he arranged for us to meet at Fish and The Knife, a beautiful sushi restaurant and lounge.
Dinner was amazing and throughout the night I saw he had an amazing smile. After our first date, we traveled back and forth between Houston and Atlanta so that we could see each other at least twice a month. With every conversation and every visit, I saw myself falling more and more for this man. His words, his smile, his heart, and the way he looked at me, made me feel so special that I knew he was the one for me. That December, we had an amazing date at Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint in Atlanta, GA. With jazz music filling the air, he told me how special I was to him and how much I meant to him. He told me he has never met anyone like me before and could see himself spending the rest of his life with me. It was at that point that he truly touched my heart. I had this wonderful feeling within and right then, I knew I was in love.

Information reaching Post-Nigeria, on Thursday, revealed that the notorious kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, aka Evans, and his accomplices, are currently being kept at the Force Investigation and Intelligence Department, FCIID, Garki, Abuja.
On further inquiry, another credible source said Evans was kept at the ‘VIP Wing’ of the Police cell, at the FCIID, Abuja, where other notorious crime suspects were being held.
It was gathered that security had been beefed up at the detention centre, since the crime kingpin was brought to the cell.
Recall, that Evans and six of his co-conspirators were arrested in June, after Policemen stormed the kidnappers’ den, and engaged them in a gun battle which lasted for several hours.
Members of his gang usually were kidnapped victims in Lagos State, but they had also abducted prominent Nigerians from other parts of the country.

Romance › Re: Kenyan Women Will Cross The Sahara To Marry Nigerian Men [10 Reasons] by dnawah(m): 12:24pm On Jul 19, 2017 |
Okpuamu: Move along Nigerian women! Kenya women are ready to take the very men you call scum off you.
In a very enlightening post that surfaced online, a Kenyan woman has listed the reasons Nairobi women admire Nigerian men and they are quite interesting!
According to Cate Mukei, Nairobi women love Nigerian men so much that they would walk through Sahara desert without water and food just to get one.
“Some even go to an extent of praying about on to their pastors or signing up to online platforms where they hope to find ogas. Naija brodas on the other hand seem to have mastered some of the weird reasons why our women love them and have perfected them.
Below are some of the reasons Nairobi women admire Naija brodas:
1. Visa holders Mogaka you can keep your Nyamira Express bus ticket we are flying to Lagos. Kenyan women naturally love visa holders. In fact they love anybody who was born beyond Eastern Africa. This is a free ticket to flying out of their country, taking selfies and filling our social media timelines in the name of having traveled ‘abroad’.
2. lHyped lies Ironically most ladies actually know when Olamide is lying but they still choose to stick with him. they probably hope that one day his lies will translate to all those riches and travel plans he has been talking about.
3. Flashy Chinedu owns a suit imported from Giorgio Armani headquarters in Italy although he lives in a Sh.15000 servants Quarter in Lavington. But who really cares about his two sufurias when he can show up in a chopper in your village. Omusakhulu on the other hand only owns one three buttoned oversize suit.
4. Talking big Ikwechuku will promise you heaven and earth but hardly delivers and the ladies know it too. However, there is always that urge to hold on hoping that one day he will keep his word. Then again he is much better than Kamau who doesn’t even talk about prospects of buying a bicycle.
5. Some are loaded Not every Nigerian man is a poser. Some of them actually have real jobs, real money and outlined ambitions. Who would choose a broke Kenyan man over a loaded Naija broda?
6. Carrot and stick tactics Naija men can really treat a lady when they have the money but if you are planning to get on a long term plan with Obiajulu just be sure that you will pay for it at some point. A Nigerian man can pay your rent for a whole year but he will expect you to hold forte when things are thick.
7. Promise to take them to Nigeria If the furthest a woman has traveled in her lifetime is Mombasa, to finally set foot in Lagos, a city she has been watching on Naija movies is a dream come true. Flying out to visit in-laws in Port Harcourt is gisty compared to taking a matatu to Gaichanjiru.
8. They have time Time automatically translates to attention and that’s why they will notice that your tiny toe finger polish has chipped off. They are the same men who accompany their women to salons and wait for them to get their Peruvian weaves attached on their otherwise scanty natural hair. A Kenyan man doesn’t even know his wife’s best friend because he is rarely with her and when he is he automatically switches off because his woman is a nag.
9. Random gifts A Naija broda can buy you a Range Rover mid January. Although you might have to sell it some time in future for survival purposes, you must admit that he actually tried.A Kenyan man will only get you a gift when they cheat on you.
10. Bravado These are the same men who can fly to Europe without a shilling and still survive without being arrested. Women love the dash of danger which makes them imagine how adventurous they can get in bed. Kenyan men on the other hand can’t even go to shopping malls anymore because they are afraid of Alshabaab.

emefav: Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, has stressed that he has dropped Mathew from his names, even though it made it to his birth names.
The former Nigerian President who disclosed this at an event organized in his honour by the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) , said he dropped the name because of the Biblical character, Mathew, whom he was named after, was a tax collector.
“When I was born, my mother and father decided to name me Matthew. I grew up being called and addressed Matthew. What is the meaning of Matthew in the Bible? He was a tax collector,” he said.
“So, when I grew up, I dropped Matthew from my name. If anyone does not want to see my eyes red, no one should call me Matthew again. People ask, what is in a name? For me, there is so much in a name.”
“A doctor’s mistake often leads to the death of one patient,” he said.
“A lawyer’s mistake leads to the client going to jail. But if an engineer makes a mistake that leads to the collapse of a bridge or house, many people would lose their lives.
“That is why engineers must be very careful and must be efficient not to allow mistakes to be made.”

Gaming › Re: Can I Make Big Money From Online Gaming? by dnawah(m): 11:30am On Jul 15, 2017 |
source10able: Wow. I totally agree with you guys comment. You guys show a lot of insight. Video game streaming/broadcasting is a big thing right now in North and South America, Europe and most especially in Asia. I mean, those guys are turning it into big business. Big Esports business. They even hold big events in locations where gamers compete for prize money. Most esports teams earn prize money of up to $6M. They get sponsorships from big brands like htc, Monster Energy, Corsair gaming, Audio-Technica and I can continue...
When I saw the stats on esports and video game broadcasting, my head somersaulted. It's a growing niche that is fast turning into a huge industry and most Nigerians don't know yet. All we seem to care about is blogging since Linda Ikeji made it.
Now in our generation, we can sit in front of our gaming PCs or consoles with our webcam and earn money from doing what we like to do provided we have a large audience watch our gameplay from online. I did some research and right now I'm most likely going to get a PlayStation 3 or 4 and a smile router to get into the trend. But I decided to go a different route. Mainly looking to organise esports events. It's what I've already started doing in India but something keeps telling me that 9ja is a ripe niche to start from. And I always follow my instinct.
Nabi2000, you are right. I created not a website (because I believe websites will faze out in a decade) but a Facebook page where you can stream and interact with other gamers. (Search FB for @SmashcasterTV). I have a plan for how team players can really make a fortune from the network of social media channels.
I'm organising an event on August 2 in India and it's happening purely online and I could have done the same in 9ja but the Nigerian factor comes into play. Slow internet and poor electricity. But I'm reconsidering my stance hence the topic.
If anyone is interested in working with me or maybe even finding out more about this huge trend in video game broadcasting and esports, join my FB group: Gaming Cinema. I will tell you and show you everything you need to know.
In case you don't really understand what I've been talking about, visit my facebook page @Smashcaster, but most importantly do this if you're a hardcore gamer. Visit twitch.tv (Google almost bought the company for $1B but they were dulling till amazon.com came and snatched it from right under their nose in 2014 and bought it for $970M and a Nigerian - an Ibo was part of the team that worked in twitch - he made upwards of $100M from the deal)
So yes online gaming and esports is really big.
I'm looking for guys to work with to begin to make something trendy in online gaming in Nigeria. I've got everything all mapped out so it's just a matter of 4 or 10 ambitious gamers coming together to make big things happen for the love of the game. is that so! |

The iceberg, which has an area of roughly 4 times the size of London at 5800 km2, was part of an ice sheet known as Larsen C.

Onyejemechimere: It is not every day one gets to hear about Nigerians working in South Korea, not to talk of a male model that is half Nigerian and half Korean. But one model that is half Nigerian and half Korean is indeed making waves. His name is Han Hyun-min and he is the world’s first Nigerian- Korean fashion model.
The 16 year old is now regarded has a rising star on South Korean catwalks. But his rise to fame hasn’t been with free of challenges. Behind the facade of an economic and cultural powerhouse, there is a deeply-rooted racism in South Korea. According to japantimes.co.jp, most foreigners in the country are from China and Southeast Asia, migrant workers or women who marry rural South Korean men unable to find local spouses willing to live in the countryside.
Discrimination against them is widespread. Many are openly mocked at public transport for being dirty or smelly, or refused entry to fancy restaurants or public baths.
Han has also witnessed his fair share of racism.
“Being a fashion model helped build my confidence tremendously,” said Han. “Now I enjoy being looked at by other people, instead of being ashamed or embarrassed.” He also hopes to become a role model for multiracial children. “I want to be more successful, not just for myself but also for people whom I represent.”
