This afternoon, in Njaba LGA, Imo State, unidentified assailants nicknamed unknown gunmen stormed the LGA Headquarters where traditional rulers were reportedly having their meeting and gunned two traditional rulers, while about three are in coma. The two traditional rulers who were allegedly shot dead on the spot according to a video trending online are: the traditional ruler of Okwudor Autonomous Community and traditional ruler of Ihebinowerre Antonomous Community, respectively , all in Njaba LGA, Imo State.

HRH , Eze Anayo of Okwudor and HRH Eze Osunwa of Ihebinowere were killed at Nnenassa, Njaba LGA, Imo State.

Eze Onyeaka of Nkume was wounded on the head and rushed to hospital, while Eze Umunam Atta was shot on his waist.They were holding meeting at Nnenassa when the hoodlooms came and opened fire.

As various people and different interests strategize to ensure the continuation of the Anambra tragedy come November 6, 2021, our lives and our future are now firmly in our own hands, to decide whether to allow our destiny wasters to continue to waste our destinies or to wake up, search out the true hero of our state and follow him, in order to avoid surrendering our lives and those of our children and unborn children again, to the same people who have kept us in hell since the creation of Anambra State.

If we do not want this to happen, then we must be conscious of this political season and be conscious also of the desperation of our politicians and their stomach infrastructure greed. In the absence of either political ideology or philosophy, all our politicians are after are platforms that will give them access to Anambra's revenue. There is no interest in the well-being of the people of the state. This is therefore the reason for a paradigm shift, from the same group of people and their friends who have been wasting our lives all these years to the true hero of the state, who for years, has been using his personal income to provide succour for all ndi Anambra, across the 21 LGAs.

My prediction is that the next governor of the state will emerge by default from the smaller political parties and will not emerge from the three major political parties, which are presently bedevilled with self inflicted crisis. This is a blessing in disguise. The smaller parties are running with brand new faces of youthful courage, relevant precision and unblemished ambition, in glaring contrast with the three major parties, who are either running with well known killers of Anambra dreams or their proteges.

They are our destiny wasters who only remember us during election seasons. They now pose for photographs with disabled people, market women and artisans. Before now, these same people cannot come near the gates of their mansions without being dehumanized by security agents. The deceitful hypocrisy of taking photographs with disabled people is sickening and a major reason why they would never get our votes. For exploiting the misfortunes of the needy and disabled for political gains, they deserve condemnation and stern rebuke.

Where were they since the last election? Where were they during the hardships, sufferings and economic devastations of the COVID-19 global lockdown last year? What were their responses to the human tragedy of the pandemic? They did nothing. They quarantined themselves and their families in the luxuries of their opulent mansions while we, the poor, died daily not because of the infections of the pandemic but because of our cruel abandonment to the forces of hunger, extreme hardship and unimaginable frustration.

It's now election time in Anambra and like vultures on carcasses, our tormentors in Chief have gathered in their usual sadistic orgies, to insult and molest our collective intelligence with their blood money and emergency philanthropies, which is not what we want again.

At this time, we should be looking out for our true heroes and not falling into the same trap, set by the same people, who have kept us in hell all these years. While they locked us up in hell, how did we survive? Ndi Anambra, who reached out for us? Who stood solidly behind us, taking us to hospitals, paying our children's school fees, empowering our youths, restoring hope to our widows and the needy and giving start-up grants for small and medium scale businesses. Ndi Anambra, these are our true heroes. They alone can keep us in the promised land because they, on their own, have taken us there.

We must shine our eyes and identify our true heroes. They are our destiny helpers and in this year's Anambra governorship election, they are the ones we should follow.

Towering above others in this select group of genuine helpers, destiny builders and pacesetters is the greatest of them all. A man of disarming humility, heart of gold and overflowing with milk of human kindness. He is our true hero, our destiny helper, our dream builder, the only man who sees the whole of Anambra as one constituency of one people, with one destiny. He is no other but High Chief, Eloka Godwin Agbasimelo, young billionaire, multiple investor, business mogul, record label owner, extraordinary philanthropist, United Nations Peace Ambassador and custodian of very many traditional titles.

Anambra Guber: Court Rejects, Dismisses an application by Val Ozigbo to compel INEC to Accept Him as PDP Candidate.

The Federal High Court in Abuja today refused and dismissed an application brought by Valentine Ozigbo, for an order restraining PDP from substituting his name and compelling INEC to publish him as the candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP) for November 6th Anambra governorship election.

The case with Suit No. CV/1539/21 and Motion No. M/4547/2021 has Valentine Ozigbo as the Claimant/Applicant, with People Democratic Party (PDP) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as defendants/Respondents.

The Claimant’s application is seeking for an Order of Court to restrain the 1st Defendants (PDP) from tampering with the name of the claimant/applicant (Valentine Ozigbo) already submitted to the 2nd defendant (INEC) as it’s candidate for the Anambra State Governorship Election fixed for 6th November, 2021.

The claimant sought an order mandating the 2nd defendant (INEC) to publish his name (Valentine Ozigbo) already submitted to it as the candidate of the 1st defendant (PDP).

The above applications were refused and dismissed as court ordered that all party to this suit be put on notice, and also further order that status quo should be maintained, thereby restraining INEC from publishing the name of any candidate as Governorship Candidate of People Democratic Party (PDP) pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice and the matter was adjourned to Tuesday, 22nd July, 2021 for hearing.

An Anambra High Court of Justice sitting in Awka and presided over by Honourable Justice Obiorah Nwabunike, yesterday extended the order of the court restraining the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP from submitting the name of Val Ozigbo as candidate of the party for this year's Anambra governorship election on November 6, 2021.

The court also restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC from accepting the name of Val Ozigbo as the candidate of the party and further restrained Val Ozigbo from parading himself as the candidate of the party for this year's governorship election.

The court ordered all the parties to revert to status quo pending the determination of the substantive suit.

This latest court order of Wednesday 14 July, 2021, exposes as fake news the report credited to Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan, the National Publicity Secretary of PDP, that Val Ozigbo has been cleared by the court to become the authentic candidate of the party in this year's governorship election.

This is a treacherous lie to confuse the polity. The officials of the party should educate themselves on the importance and necessity of obeying court orders and submitting themselves to the laws of the land. The fake news that Justice Nwabunike denied the jurisdiction of his court to hear the matter and consequently dismissed the applications before him is a senseless propaganda, that tells a lot about the unabating impunity of the PDP, to go to extreme lengths in order to subvert justice.

The general public is hereby advised to ignore the serial mendacity of certain officials of the party, who are struggling to enthrone an illegality that died before its arrival.

As Achilleus-Chud Uchegbu, correctly observed in his column in the Sun newspaper of 15 July, 2021, "the problems that the PDP has now created for itself in Anambra had earlier been resolved by the Court of Appeal in Olalere vs Oye, where the court held that, "a political party is bound by its Constitution and any action taken, which is not in conformity with the constitution of such party, is null and void and of no effect."

This summarizes the futility of PDP's present position in the Anambra PDP primary election. The delegates provided for in the PDP constitution elected Senator Ugochukwu Uba as candidate of the party in this year's governorship election. The PDP is therefore bound by its Constitution to recognize the Senator as the validly elected candidate of the party.

The so called super Delegates that were purported to have elected Val Ozigbo are unknown to the PDP constitution and therefore, every action taken to appoint him candidate of the party, are actions not in conformity with PDP Constitution, and by the ruling of the Court of Appeal, the actions are null and void and of no effect.

The concerned members of the People Democratic Party (PDP) Anambra State, who are aggrieved by the impunity that is playing out in the Party, today have accused the former Governor of the state, Mr. Peter Obi and his cohorts of desperation to invent any means to drag the party down the same way he left APGA in confusion.

The Leader of the group, Uchem Obi, a lawyer, said this in Awka while addressing the press. He said, "it is despicable that the man who got back his mandate from the court severally; a man who was impeached and he overturned the impeachment with the aid of the court, a man that the judiciary have stood by and overruled every manner of impunity against him, can now turn around to belittle and ridicule the courts and disobey court orders and judgements with impunity. This is the worst form of rascality by Mr. Peter Obi and these protesters here are saying that enough is enough.

According to the Group, Mr. Peter Obi will not be allowed to destroy PDP in the same way he tried to destroy APGA. The moment he was exited from APGA, he sought relevance in Africa's largest party, and now he's doing everything possible to bring this party down. If not for Peter Obi's political dishonesty, Atiku may have not lost the 2019 Presidential election. Peter Obi has become an unmarketable brand and the impunity he's working to foist on PDP manifests his political decadence. We are all asking him to allow the judges to work and not to use the weapon of blackmail against innocent judges.

"Without the judiciary Peter Obi would not have emerged as Governor; so many times he has suffered injustice, it was the courts that redressed his injustice but today the same Peter Obi is saying that somebody who went to court to seek redress is a rascal. Who is a worse rascal than the man who got his mandate from the court, the man who knows that the court is the final arbiter in legal disputes and he's stopping somebody, who feels aggrieved from going to the same court as he did, to seek redress in the same way he sought redress and got his mandate back. This is unbelievable. This exposes the true nature of Peter Obi's impunitive tendencies.

"Its on record that the PDP on June 26 conducted its Primary election at the St. Paul's University Play ground, where Senator Ugochukwu Uba was elected as the candidate of PDP for this year's Anambra governorship election, by court certified delegates of the PDP and monitored by INEC. While they were legally electing a flagbearer, Peter Obi and his group who believed that they could do anything in the PDP, because they believe they are above the laws, moved to Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre and enthroned an illegality with an aberration they called super delegates, in complete disobedience of an existing court order and judgement while the real delegates of the PDP were at the St. Paul's University Play ground electing Senator Ugochukwu Uba as the candidate of PDP. Peter Obi and his group are wolves in PDP's clothing. They are not real PDP members but serial defectors who have moved from one party to the other like herdsmen.

"Justice Nwabunike is a judge and he gave an order which he has discretionary powers to make. He did not make the order because somebody bought him or because he was paid to do it. Did Peter Obi buy his mandate in 2003? How much did it cost him to buy all cases he won in different courts? Justice Nwabunike should be allowed to do his job, if they are not satisfied with the turn out, they have options of Appeal, rather than this obnoxious resort to blackmailing judges, lampooning and ridiculing the judiciary. This is unnecessary impunity led by a man like Peter Obi, who should know better.

We want to let Peter Obi and his group know, that no amount of rascalism and undue interference will enthrone their illegality. If they are not satisfied with the way the judge has worked, there are procedural channels they can follow, instead of going to the press to castigate judges and make mockery of competent orders and judgements of courts. The attitude of Peter Obi and his group clearly shows that there's a hidden agenda behind the frivolous attack on Justice Nwanbunike.

"When rascals want to take over a party, the true party members do not keep quiet or resort to rascality. They look up to law. That is why we have checks and balances in our system. We are in court for the court to decide. We are doing what law abiding citizens should do.

When true PDP members throw tantrums, I condone them as innocent anger of committed but misled or brainwashed members. But when a character of outlandish dishonour as Senator Ben Obi fouls the political space with dubious postulations, I open the garbage bin, where people like him should be dumped and forgotten, as one of our mistakes of tolerating and celebrating mediocrity.

Ben Obi took centre stage to defend the fraud that was perpetrated on June 26, 2021, at the Dora Akunyili Women Development Center, in the name of factional primary election. What many do not know is that Ben Obi is a hunter of fortune, who goes to unbelievable lengths and joins any kind of group as long as money would be shared. He possesses the spirit and mentality of a mercenary, and it is a well known fact that a mercenary does not fight any war for a cause. A mercenary only fights for money.

Like all dogs of war, Ben Obi's conscience is questionable. His sense of good and bad is persuaded by the side that has more money. Therefore, when he talked about being a leader in the PDP, my first reaction was to ask him, how much of PDP is in him and how much of PDP he knows? He is free to continue his penchant for bogus claims but to claim to be a PDP leader is an unconscionable lie, that its time has come to be rebutted. Lapdogs never become leaders of the pack. They are just vomit eaters.

As PDP was being convened in 1998, Ben Obi was busy with others convening the All Peoples Party, APP, which later became ANPP. When his kite could not fly in the party, he sneaked through the backdoor into the PDP. His first exhibition of many atrocities to come was to steal the senatorial mandate given to Senator IG Abana. Soon as he finished digesting the largesse from the stolen position, he forgot about the PDP and moved on to the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN. As a typical rolling stone, without ideals, philosophy, morals or commitment, he soon abandoned the ACN and sneaked back to the PDP. An unsuspecting Tom Ikimi, completely misjudged Ben Obi's character and made the worst error of judgement when he recommended his appointment as the National Secretary of the party's Caretaker Committee headed by the former Governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Ahmed Makarfi.

The sad Nigerian factor which emboldened this political merchant was his tolerance by other members of the Caretaker Committee, who knew him well enough as a rolling stone, and yet looked the other way as he used the coveted office to perpetrate monumental absurdities in Anambra PDP, which is the progenitor of the current crisis in the party. And now, this over indulged betrayer of the party is grandstanding as a leader in the same party he has callously sabotaged for years. What impudence!

It is generally known that among Gov. Obiano's spies in the PDP, Ben Obi ranks highest. For selling out PDP to APGA and for engineering crisis in the party, APGA administration has expended millions of Naira constructing a house for him in Awka, including tarring the access road to the house.

Their so-called factional primary election which Ben Obi was chief facilitator, was the fulfilment of the promise to cripple PDP and most especially, to ensure the emergence of a feeble lightweight as the party's governorship candidate, so that APGA will coast to victory without reasonable challenge from the PDP.

Another vicious attribute of this inglorious political merchant is his incredible capacity to drop names of powerful and influential Nigerians with ease. This is the chief tool he uses to mesmerize people in order to hoodwink them.

The sad and most annoying negative in Ben Obi's profile is his inability to support his posturing with a verifiable proof of academic qualification, in this age when we tell our youths that education is the key to the future. This sounds incredible but I challenge him to produce evidence of an academic qualification higher than School Certificate.

How then can this serial defector, unscrupulous political merchant, impostor and betrayer in chief of the PDP claim to be the conscience of the party. No, he is not. He is an empty vessel and a soulless impostor, who has contributed more than anyone else in the state to the lingering crisis in Anambra PDP. Ben Obi is the nemesis of the PDP.

433,000 Nigerians, businesses to get N50,000, N30,00 each – says FG

Tola Johnson, Special Assistant to  President Muhammadu Buhari on Micro Small and Medium and Medium Enterprises(MSMEs), says 100,000 small businesses will get N50,000 each.

NAN reports that the gesture is part of COVID-19 economic stimulus.
The presidential aide made the announcement at the inauguration of the Implementation of Survival Fund and Guaranteed Off-Take Stimulus Schemes for MSMEs on Thursday in Abuja.

Johnson, the Project Coordinator, said that the schemes were part of the Economic Sustainability Plan drafted by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo-led committee and approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Anambra Monarchs SUVs Gift : Rights group calls Assembly to commence impeachment process against Obiano

A group, Human Rights Liberty Access and Peace Defenders’ Foundation (HURIDE) has called on the Anambra State House of Assembly to immediately start impeachment proceeding against Governor Willie Obiano for allegedly procuring 151 SUVs for distribution to monarchs, without seeking approval from the House since it wasn’t appropriated in the 2020 budget.

The group condemned the governor for wasting the resources of the state in the face of biting hardship, saying impeaching him would save the state from further economic bleeding and ostentatiousnism.

HURIDE flayed the action of the governor in purchasing the vehicles, at cost amounting to billions of naira, for the traditional rulers at a period citizens were languishing in poverty and lack.

In a statement signed by the chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of HURIDE, Dede Uzor, the group said the purchase came at time the economy was almost facing a recession due to low federal allocations ,bad policies and lack of vision on the part of leaders.

Enugu State Government has established an Agency for Community and Social Development Project (CSDP), which is responsible for implementing World Bank-Assisted Project. The project has the objective to increase access of poor people (in rural communities) to improve social and natural resources infrastructure services in a sustainable manner through the provision of grant support to beneficiaries for identifying prioritizing, implementation and maintenance of community-driven micro-projects under approved Community Development Plans (CDP)and Group Development  Plans (GDP).

To fill the positions created as a result of change of service and retirement of officers, the following positions are declared vacant and hereby invite application from suitably qualified candidates:-

General Manager

Qualifications and Experience
A university degree in Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Engineering and/or any other relevant degree with at least fifteen years post-qualification experience in the private or public sector, five of which must be at management level. A higher degree and experience in the management of rural development projects shall be an added advantage.

Powers and Duties of the General Manager:
The General Manager shall:
i. Be in-charge of general administration of the CSDP;
ii. Manage SA Personnel;
iii. Be the accounting Officer of the SA;
iv. Give approval for proposal of CDPs recommended by the SA management committee;
v. Authorize expenditure in accordance with the annual budget and work programme of the SA as approved by the BOD;

vi. Represent the SA in all its dealings with third parties at the level of the management;
vii. Conduct dialogue with donor and those capable of providing complementary technical and administrative skills and financial resources;
viii. Delegate his authority to the staff of the Agency to the extent necessary for the efficient performance of the activities of CSDP;
ix. Perform such other duties as may be required for effective functioning of the SA;
x. Ensure regular reporting and adherence to the SA reporting relationship with the Project Financial Management Unit (PMFU) of the State.
2.0 Operations Manager
Qualifications and Experience

A university Degree in Agriculture, Engineering, Extension Services, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Project management and any other relevant Degree, with at least twelve (12) years post qualification experience. Previous experience in rural development projects or extension services shall be considered as additional advantage. Applicants must be computer literate.


The Operations Manager shall be in-charge of:-
Supervising and coordinating the overall activities of the operation Department as well as processing of applications seeking Agency funding.
Providing overall supervision of formulation and implementation processes of CDPs /GDPs of micro projects by CPMC/GPMC and ensuring the maintenance of records on all CDPs / GDPs of micro-projects on continuous basis and passing on such information to M&E department,
Liaising with relevant MDAs to provide technical and back-up support to communities,
Consolidate annual work plans and budget of the Department as well as provision of quarterly and annual projections for CDPs/GDPs and micro-projects implementation.

3.0 Finance and Administration Manager
Qualification and Experience
A University degree or membership of professional association such as ACA, ACCA, or their equivalents or Higher National Diploma in Accounting or Banking and Finance with at least twelve years of post-qualification experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Finance and Administration Manager shall be charged with the responsibility for;
Ensuring efficient running of the Office and the maintenance of all office facilities;
Processing and paying all bills, Salaries (etc) pertaining to the smooth running of the SA;
Maintaining schedules of personnel, welfare and other personnel functions;
Ensuring the proper recording of financial transactions of the Agency;
