In as much as we will all try to attack and condemn the lady for saying such, there is lot of truth in what she wrote, and I will explain:

Back in the days of our fathers, there was no GSM, no internet, no cable TV, so it was never necessary for a man or woman to own a mobile phone, buy internet data, buy airtime, pay for cable TV like DsTV or GoTV or Star Times, etc. In fact there was no need to have a fridge/freezer before you get married because there were electricity only in few parts of Nigeria, mostly the cities, and only less than 20% of Nigerians then lived in the cities, and maybe less than 5% of those city dwellers owned a TV set, a fridge/freezer.

There was no need to own a washing machine, only the elites did....there was no need for electric or gas cooker, no need to talk about owning a car to think of maintaining and fueling the car, only few elites owned cars.

Back then, all schools were government owned, private schools were seen as useless schools for dull people, and most government schools then were free, the ones that needed to be paid for were peanuts...so you don't need to stress to send your children to school, all they needed was school uniform and books.

Back then, there were very few private hospitals, all existing reputable hospitals were all government owned and well equipped and competent, today is different....to take care of your wife's delivery and children health, you must pay through your nose if they must get adequate healthcare.

All the reputable schools now are owned by private individuals, and their tuition is on the high side that, someone earning that amount she mentioned can never be able to send his children to any good school, sadly that's the reality not what we wished was the reality


Before you can get married today and have a relatively happy home, you may need to rent a 1 bedroom flat at least, you will pay for electricity bill monthly, buy gas for cooking, pay for refuse collectors, pay estate or community security which was free in our father's time, you may need TV, GoTV which also requires monthly subscription, you must own a mobile phone, including your wife, and who will be buying the airtime, the internet data, maybe Buhari

Honestly, to live a decent life in Nigeria or run a decent, modest home in Nigeria now as a married man, you will need around 200,000naira monthly income, which is why every Nigerian lady now should make it a priority to have a job or a business or a trade or something earning her legal money of at least 50,000naira monthly before she accepts to marry any man.


Gone are the days ladies bring only their body to marriage, ladies your body is no longer enough, you must bring some money too....a monthly income!!!


That guy that replied her and saying he is earning 57,000 and he is married with 2 kids, he should also tell people about other ways he earns money to augment his 50k monthly salary; or he thinks we don't know how corrupt majority of Nigerian civil servants are, collecting kickbacks, bribes, and engaging in all forms of office corruption to makeup their low pay

He should also tell us if he doesn't get one or two financial help from one of his big brothers or uncles living somewhere else either abroad or in another city, so let him STFU that income is not enough to run a family in today Nigeria!!

If you are not earning enough income to raise a decent home, pls stay single, its not a crime to remain single, it is a crime to give birth to kids u can't train or give decent life, they will grow up to become societal problem and easy tools for crime/violence which is why Northern Nigeria and in fact Nigeria is so messed right now!


Stop giving birth to kids u can't train or hoping for your uncle or brother or sister or aunt or friend to train them for u, the world has changed, this is not 1980!!

I had a lot I would have told her that could send her straight into depression. I kid you not but for sake of her condition, I restrained cos I know she is not as strong as she tries to claim or make you believe.

I am dating someone else already who has never asked me for dime nor gotten even 20k from me in comparison to the girl above who had gotten quite more... Plus the new girl is professional nurse in making while our madam didn't not even finish. She (the new girl also worked or often search for works during holidays.

I don't need a leech in my life for real.

I believe life is all about sacrifice and dedication. She might not be a graduate but she has done well.
Her actions will help expose the rot in our academic circle the more. And also give other women the courage to speak up. Life isn't all about being a graduate, but, living a life of sacrifice to the growth of others
Just a honest opinion

There is a difference between being a graduate and being educated. To me, she is more educated than millions of graduate out there.

Our education is meant to solve societal problems. If your education has never been used to solve deep and serious societal problem, even if you are a PhD holder, you are not educated in my own book.

We don't vote like that. We vote based on someone that can get the job done, boost economy and create jobs.

Only Peter Obi and Soludo currently has the love of South East masses.. Ask yourself why.

Rochas can not command that.

Put Rochas and Adesina on the ballot and you will see Igbos voting for Adesina instead of Rochas.

South West can present Osinbajo or Adesina , the current AfDB president for example, South East present Peter Obi or Soludo...

This is what I want to see in 2023 not some persons like Tinubu and his Rogue touts.

Yes, We have Soludo or Peter Obi. Both can deliver and deliver well but I think Obi will do a better job than Soludo economically

Greenhouse produces genetically breeded tomatoes/food items. I hope they wouldn't kee people finish with this non-natural fertilized food items. This is just my personal opinion.
