Which Administration has treated the Falcons better than pinnick Administration? i mean this girls don't have to stay back at their club and train alone during FIFA break again
Not just that alone, wasn't it the gals, crying for friendlies before, now they don't have to,

Before any qualifiers they are sure to play 2 friendlies, unlike the fire Bridget approach before, they now prepare well, not to talk of them flying on time for any games,

Thing is the economy is bad, and the Nff had just one international sponsor, while the rest are locals,

Under a good economy, the ladies hardly play more than 2 or 3 friendlies in a calender year, but, now they are,

And I think the choice of coach is due to finance, awesome, this Administration had done well for our football

The NFF is yet to act, which suggests the body has decided to keep Waldrum. It will cost the NFF to sack Waldrum as he just signed a new two-year contract this year. Sacking him now means the Nigerian football governing body will have to pay his salary for the two-year contract he signed. And with the NFF struggling financially, Waldrum will likely continue in his job.

Also, with the FIFA Women's World Cup taking place next year, the NFF may feel there is no need to bring in a new manager.

Amaju just da rubbish Nigeria football, why give him another 2years contract two years ago when WAFCON was in the corner, his performance at the WAFCON would have determine him getting another Contract… Nigeria football in Mess…
Hmmm, this was his first wAfcon let's see, what lessons he learned from it,
Sacking him, is not the way forward now, let's see how he response to this wafcon,

Jandor should go to court. Lagos is not alaibo where they machette each other to settle scores. In Lagos we have civilization, go to court man, and stop lamenting marginalization in Alaba market.
This is not marginalization, this past Sallah a large poster of a PDP candidate rejoicing with the Muslims faithful, then there was an Apc poster doing same near the PDD,

Only to pass that place again, and saw the huge defacement of the PDP poster,,
The pdp candidate and that of Jandor, we're defaced, while that of Apc remains intacy

AkinDS:
Sorry, but I disagree with you on this stance.

The problem with this team is NOT Randy. The problem is too many people affiliated with the team (directly or indirectly) with contrasting and divergent objectives.

1. COACHING. Why was there a need to superimpose that failure of a Rivers Angels coach on the team? (i.e. Edwin Okon). What value has he brought to the team so far? I know he tried bringing in some poor players, including his goalkeeper girlfriend who was promptly kicked out by Randy. I mean, that was a really dumb decision to do that. Likewise, half of the Nigerian coaches on the team don't know anything and should not even be there. Regarding Randy, yes, he is the Coach of the Univ. of Pittsburgh team, an NCAA D1 team. But he also was part of the very successful USWNT set up and has coached the very successful NWSL Houston Dash

2. ADMIN. Whose dumb idea was it to strip Asisat of the captaincy? I strongly suspect it might have been Aisha Falode's idea - I hope I am wrong. What has it accomplished so far? Has it boosted Asisat's play on the national team? All its done is create more internal strife between the players which has spilled into the media. The incompetency and lack of foresight of our football administrators has been one of the biggest problem for our football growth in that country. Illiterates who think they know football but are as dumb as iron and continue to destroy any progress that can be made.

3. SENIOR PLAYERS. As I had mentioned earlier, the biggest problem with the team right now is the so called senior players, specifically - Oparanozie, Ebi, Chikwelu and Okobi. Their presence is toxic to the team and they need to be excused from the Super Falcons as a matter of urgency. They have been on the circuit far too long and the drive, hunger, passion and desire for success is no longer there, as they are now complacent (that's why the likes of Okobi and Oparanozie have been saying all that nonsense). They are nothing but an impediment to the team's progress and growth and the time is ripe to be rid of them - permanently! We have many young players who can step in and do a decent job and its time for those young players to step in and step up. Desire Ellis did that for SA with great success - In hind sight, I now better understand what Portia Modise was alluding to.

4. AGITATION FOR OMAGBEMI. I am sorry but considering the current state of affairs and the undue internal and external interference and bickering, Omagbemi would have also failed WOEFULLY with this team (even with Akide and whoever as assistants). Omagbemi coached this team in 2016 and came in on a whims notice and won in Cameroon. Funny thing is: I watched her final match against Cameroon and compared the style of play with Randy's during this 2022 tournament. Same thing. Long balls from the back which were chased after by a very fit Oshoala and Ordega. Absolutely nothing spectacular or significantly different between this team and Omagbemis (Go watch the 2016 team performance if you don't believe what I am saying). Omagbemi has been coaching a U14 team since (not even a college team). Randy has over 300 wins as a college coach (top 20 in the US).

5. NEXT STEPS.
a. Get rid of the 'Fabulous Four' as mentioned above. That will help create a better atmosphere in the SF locker room, especially when there are many younger and more exciting players waiting for an opportunity to show case their skills. We have established players who missed the WAFCON, like Esther Okoronkwo, Rinsola, Roosa, Zogg, George and a few others who can compete in this team, as well as the U20 prospects, like Demehin, Onyenezide, Flavor, Ajibola, and others who are the next gen. We have MASSIVE talent on the horizon and its really dumb focusing on those old women who have caused nothing but strife! Its time to move on!!!
b. Get rid of the 'hanger's on', estacode chasing coaches who don't add any value whatsoever to the team - Okon, Wemimo and others.
c. The media is not helping matters, by parroting what disgruntled players and those incompetent, bad belle coaches are saying about the Oyinbo man. Let the man do his work the way he knows how!
d. Stop all the 'oga at the top' external interferences. Prime example of their stupid thought processes is stripping Oshoala of the captainship. That caused more issues in camp which was totally unnecessary. Let the coach do his job!
e. Pretty sure this experience with the Nations Cup will make Randy more stoked to exceed expectations at the World Cup. He needs to finish the job he was hired to do without undue interference. Let him build his team, win or lose. The man has used his vast network to line up 3 top friendlies against world class teams in the next 2 months - Japan and US (x2). There will be more top friendlies which would only help the team get better.

Happy to debate the points raised with you, Schemerkhiz.
Thank you my good man for this,
The defeat is sure a very bitter pill to swallow

In conclusion, you're still in agreement with Godwin. You just don't want us to put the blame as harsh as we are doing it. How is that being negative? Do you think its only our journalists that do such?

The British media make our journalists look like saints, same table o.

Call it as it is, else it's just a delusional stance. Wack is wack. Mediocre is mediocre.

Efforts and dilligence to change the norm are what makes things to change for the better. Politicians are not, and should never be sport administrators in our own setting. It's absolutely abysmal!!
Am not in agreement with him, the koko is that we take defeats very badly, instead of going back to knew what went wrong

Trying to make sense of your response and I sincerely cannot.

How exactly does "cutting your coat according to your size" address my submission? If at all we were willing to cut according to size as you suggested, we would still be able to, we just need to re-prioritize our spending to reflect our goals. Didn't you read that just the funds allocated to transporting FA chairmen to Morocco (Amaju actually invited all 36 FA chairmen) will take care of the players bonuses. I haven't even included their accomodation, feeding and estacode.

And for the commitment comment, can't even make sense of it as I didn't even mention the word. Let's learn to demand more from our leaders, everything I have penned down isn't rocket science, ensuring swift payment of bonuses isn't even something worth
commending, it's bare minimum expected of people with dignity.

Just hearing renowned sports journalist Godwin this morning talk about how invested the South Africans and the Moroccans are in women football made me shudder in disgust how the Nigerian administrators aren't just incompetent but wicked.

According to him, every Moroccan and South African player gets a monthly salary as long as you are a member of the National team (differs from match bonuses). How exactly will the players not be motivated? To think the FA who had to wait for the ministry to get funds for the players could self finance the logistic requirements for several FA presidents (who aren't relevant in the scheme of things) to Morocco, accommodate them, feed them and give each extacode (which is 3-4 times what a player gets) just shows where their priority is.

Hoping for better days for Nigeria football

We are switching tactics to a more direct strategy. Most teams play us by sitting deep. So we are changing tactics to attack in a more direct fashion. So, wide players are less needed.
