Health › Re: Aggrieved Nigerian Doctor Exposes Rot In Nigeria's Medical System With Tweets by docbindl(m): 2:56am On Mar 27, 2017 |
ekems2017: I support you in this one. Some of them are so annoying. (apology to the good ones) They don't even know what they are doing. They bribe their way through. Imagine you complaining of stomach pains and a doctor is either googling or checking the text book in front of him or her to know the drugs to prescribe. I support the older doctors. Pls continue to hold on for us till 70yrs for this one. The rot in this younger doctors is too much.
This is the highest level of ignorance. What stops you from finding out why the doctor is using the phone in front of you. In the countries that you all look up to (USA/UK) doctor are allowed to open BNF and other books to ensure the safety of the medication they are prescribing to patient. The same is what is done by the doctor you encountered, No doctor needs Google or a book to know the name of the drugs to give you nor does he need it to take a detailed history from you. He needs it for things like accurate dosage based on your weight, he needs it to ensure there is no harmful interactions between the drugs that he's given to you, or possibly find you and alternative if you have a condition that precludes you from using a particular drug.
So if you are not sure of something, ask... Don't just assume. If a doctor is making use of a phone in front of you.... Ask him why he's touching his phone (IT'S RUDE FOR A DOCTOR TO FIDDLE WITH HIS PHONE WHILE CONSULTING UNLESS WHAT HE'S DOING IS FOR YOU OWN GOOD)
PLEASE ASK..... DON'T ASSUME. |

Health › Re: Insect Inside My Ear Please Help by docbindl(m): 7:55am On Sep 05, 2016 |
You should never ever put Hydrogen peroxide in your ears... That's how ppol make themselves deaf. It's an animate object. So just put a few drop of oil... Any oil will do but preferably olive oil... That will kill the insect and then see a doctor to now pick it out of your ear. |
