*TOPIC: DIVINE ANGELS AND YOUR BREAKTHROUGH (I)*
Hebrews 1:14

Let us look briefly at one of the provisions for your breakthrough, especially in these last days - Angels. Many view the subject of angelic operations as fantasy and most believers do not know how to take advantage of the privileges that the operation of angels offers to us in the unavoidable battles of life. *Because what you do not know cannot work for you, you have to exercise active faith in the ministry of angels to benefit fully from it.*

*I must also emphasize that the Bible is the only safe information source on the activities of angels.* Everyone born into this world has an angel assigned to him/her. When that individual hears the gospel and gets born again, he retains that angel. If he or she does not get born again, the angel eventually withdraws his ministry to the individual.

Let us look at some of the ministries of angels for the believer.

*1. Angels have been given a charge to keep the people of God in all their ways for security and protection* (Psalm 91:11, Psalm 34:7, Genesis 32:1-2, 2 Kings 6:15-17). They act as Divine bodyguards around you to ward off and keep evil from touching you.

*2. They also have an assignment to help the believer in finding his/her marriage partner* (Gen. 24:6-7) *and in childbirth* (Gen. 18:1-15, Luke 1:5-25).

*According to Hebrews 1:14, the angels of God in the New Testament dispensation have been sent forth by God to minister for us who are born again.* Knowing this and acting upon it will put you at an advantage in life.

*PRAYER:* Father, I thank You for your holy angels. I receive grace to always respond to them and their ministry in my life.

*TOPIC: AVOID THE DANGER OF WRONG SPEAKING*
Psalm 141:3, Mark 11:23-24, Psalm 34:12-13

*Wrong speaking is wrong sowing, and this eventually produces the wrong harvest.* If your vehicle is going to reach its destination, you must learn how to control your mouth. Every blessing and trouble men are going to have tomorrow, they are saying it today. *Every blessing and trouble in people’s live today also came out of their mouths yesterday. Mind your mouth!*

*Your lips have doors. It is better not to say anything than to say something wrong.* What determines the experiences that you are going to have in life is not your job but the words of your mouth. (Proverbs 13:2). *The devil is looking for different people to give away crucial things with the words they speak.* There is a difference between talking about something and talking to something. The Bible teaches us to talk to things and not about them. Mark 11:23 _“For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain ……, he shall have whatsoever he saith.”_ The scripture does not say whosoever shall ‘talk about and discuss’ the mountain.

*God wants you to speak His word to the mountain because that is where the solution lies.* Talking about it will only magnify the problem and show you how much of impossibilities the problem carries. For example, if they say there is an embargo on jobs, it does not mean there is an embargo on your employment. *You should say what God has said.*

*If you don't like what you are having or seeing, change what you are saying. Silence is consent in the spirit. If you don't want a particular experience, reject it with your mouth.*

*PRAYER:* LORD, help me to put my faith in my mouth. Amen!

*TOPIC: INCREASING YOUR FAITH LEVEL*
Hebrews 11:1-3

I want to point your attention to two keywords in the scripture above: *substance and evidence.* These are two aspects of faith I want you to get and understand very well.

*When you are dealing with the evidence of faith, the Bible takes the place of your senses;* it answers questions like, ‘is it there at all?’, ‘does it exist?’, ‘is it available?’ The Bible takes the place of evidence. *When you are dealing with the substance of faith, hearing the word of God gives you that substance.* This is what the scripture says in Romans 10:17, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

If you substitute “faith” with “substance”, you will have, _“So then substance comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”_ Since faith is the substance of things hoped for, then ‘the substance of things hoped for’ comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. *There are two things you must know to have real Bible faith:*

*1. You must read the Bible, so you know what is there.*
*2. You must hear the Word to have substance.*

*Evidence tells me what I have; substance gives me the power to have what I can have.* So if I don’t hear the word of God, I don’t have the substance of it; even though I know it is there, I may not be able to get it. That is why many people say, ‘I know God can heal me, but why am I not healed?’ Such people are not hearing the word of God. *Therefore, if you want to have faith that produces results, you must have evidence and substance.*

*PRAYER:* Lord, help me to work on my faith in Jesus name. Amen!

*TOPIC: YOUR GOD-REALITY LEVEL (1)*
2 Kings 6:13-17

We are looking at this very critical subject today - What is your God-reality level? It is a question you need to answer. You must be checking your degree of God-reality, God's consciousness and awareness.

*There are four levels of GOD-REALITY that exist:*

1. No God-reality level
2. Low God-reality level
3. Medium God-reality level
4. High God-reality level

What is your God-reality level? You need to do a check-up. Apostle Paul said, _“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith...”_ *How real is the power of God to you?* Elisha had a high God-reality level; he said, _“they that be with us are more than they that be with them”._

How can you increase your God-reality level, even when things are not going well?

*THROUGH THE EXERCISE OF YOUR FAITH IN THE WORD OF GOD*

*Faith in God increases our God-reality levels.* Challenges of life that require we use our faith bring us into God-reality level. Don't mock anyone going through situations and is believing in God; at the end of it, his/her God-reality level will increase. *How confident are you that prayer works? How confident are you that God answers prayers?*

*When you fellowship more with the word of God, it increases your God-reality.* However, if you fellowship more with problems and not with the promises of God, it reduces your God-reality. Low God-reality will bring fear and fear causes you to speak negative words. *Don't fellowship too much with problems, otherwise, the reality of the problem will be much in you.*

*PRAYER:* LORD, help me to increase my God-reality by believing the Word of God for what it is. Amen.

*TOPIC: DEALING WITH FEAR IN YOUR HEART (3) – CAST IT DOWN*
2 Corinthians 10:5

This scripture tells us three major things the devil uses to attack people and give fear a root in their lives:

1. Imaginations
2. High reasoning
3. Thoughts

That means when you are getting the knowledge of the truth from the word of God, some things will want to exalt themselves against that knowledge of the truth.

The Bible tells us what we need to do with them, “Casting down imaginations.” Imagination was what affected Elijah when he heard the death threats of Jezebel; his imagination controlled him and he began to run.

When any negative information comes your way, the bible says cast it down! How? By using the name of Jesus and truth in the word of God. *Fear is a spirit that wants to make nonsense of your life, your Christianity and your future.* You must cast down every imagination of fear, cast down every high thing that is exalting itself against the knowledge of God and bring into captivity every thought to obey Christ.

What does it mean to bring every thought into captivity to obey Christ? That means you take every negative, wayward and rebellious thought captive by the truth of the Word of God. “Christ” also stands for “the Anointed One” and the Word of God is anointed. *When you use the Word of God to capture every negative thought in your life, you will come into a place of rest.*

*PRAYER:* I subject my thoughts and imaginations to the word of God. I disallow and cast down any thought that contradicts God’s Word in my mind. Amen.

*DEALING WITH FEAR IN YOUR HEART (2) - WHAT WILL YOU SAY OF GOD?*

Text: Psalm 91:2.

Despite the challenges of battles from hundreds of armies and enemies that David faced, one of his major ways of keeping fear out is what he chose to say of the Lord. What you say of God matters a lot. The word of your mouth will either bring your solution or put you into further problems.

When Moses sent 12 spies to the land of Canaan in Numbers 13, ten of them returned with evil report for themselves and for all the congregation of Israel saying “we are not able to go up against the people for they are stronger than we, … the land eateth up the inhabitants … we were in our own sights as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight”. It was the spirit of fear telling them they were grasshoppers, God did not call them grasshoppers.

This is to say that the devil is waiting for your words, either you will sell yourself to the spirit of fear by the words you will say or you will give yourself to the Spirit of God by the words you say. So, what you say of God is what God will create and perform in your life. If you say negative things that God has not said about Himself or about your own life due to fear, then that is what is going to happen.

*PRAYER:* Father, no matter the condition or situation around me, I will say of you Lord, “You are my refuge; You are my fortress, I choose not to fear.”

*TOPIC: DEALING WITH FEAR IN YOUR HEART (1)*
KNOW THE TRUTH - John 8:32

*It is this knowledge of the truth that will diffuse and destroy every lie that the devil rages against you to give fear a hold in your life.* When you begin to assimilate the truth of the word of God, fear begins to melt and dissolve like wax melts in the presence of fire. *All the lies that give that spirit of fear its potency in your life have to leave.*

*Prayer in itself does not make free; you can be praying and still be in bondage to the devil.* Attending church meetings by itself doesn’t make you free, but the word of God makes you free. You can’t replace the word of God with any other thing. It is the knowledge of the word of God that makes free.

People that go to different places for prayer, for help and deliverance are the same set of people that keep on going over and over again. Why? *Because they don’t settle down to know the truth that makes them permanently free.* When an anointed prays for you once, it sets you free but the Bible says “You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free”, not just “set free”. There is a difference between being “set free” and being “made free”. *You can be set free once and return to being bound, but you can be made free and totally free indeed. And that is what knowledge of the truth does.*

*PRAYER:* Father, I seek the knowledge of the truth by revelation from Your word. I believe and abide by this truth. I am free from all fears, in Jesus name.

*TOPIC: DEVELOP GOD’S PERSPECTIVE OF YOURSELF*
Philippians 2:5; 2 Corinthians 3:18

While you reject the devil’s perspective of yourself, you need to develop God’s view of yourself. *You are a replica of Jesus in the spirit because you are born again with the life of God, you have the very creative ability of God on the inside of you.* The life of God is not only yours, but all that will enable you to operate fully in that life has also been given to you abundantly at the new birth.

God has given you all that is necessary to enjoy and flow in the life of God at the fullest level possible and to be God-like on earth (2 Pet. 1:1-4). *You are a partaker of the Divine nature.* The Divine nature means all the qualities and characteristics that make God to be God, and these include His divine ability, wisdom, strength, life, love, etc. It means *you are a partaker of these divine attributes of God.* You only become filled with more of the divine nature as your fellowship with God deepens and increases. *When you begin to dwell in the presence of God, you start looking like Him.*

God told man to subdue the earth; it means he should break forth and discover the secrets of the earth (Gen. 1:28). *You have God-like abilities within your spirit. Unlock those abilities and release them.* The only way to do this is to get your soul restored so that it allows those abilities to pass out. *God does not delight in your failures and breakdowns. He has pleasure in your success and breakthrough.*

*PRAYER:* I am a partaker of the divine nature; I manifest divine realities; I break forth and discover the secrets of the earth.

*TOPIC: GET GOD’S PERSPECTIVE OF THE DEVIL*
1 John 3:8

*Another critical factor to consider in order to turn your breakdowns to breakthroughs is to have a right perspective of God and the devil.* Satan has been operating in the lives of men for long and many have filled themselves with a formidable amount of wrong information about the devil’s abilities and operations. This is to an extent that when they became born again, they transferred the wrong thinking and beliefs into their Christian life.

And because they have not bothered to dig deep into the word of God, they continue with their wrong opinions. The devil has deceived many people with these lies such that they have become more afraid of him. *What is making you fearful of the devil is what is keeping you from your next level.*

Get God’s perspective of the devil. *Never allow the devil to give you his view of himself and if he does, don’t accept it.* Get your mind renewed with the truth from the word of God and be set free from the lies of the devil.

*Satan is a completely defeated enemy.* It would have been absurd for any of the children of Israel to be looking over their shoulders in fear of Pharaoh and his chariots after they had perished in the sea. Jesus actually and eternally destroyed the devil. *Build into your consciousness, the fact and reality that Satan is destroyed as far as you are concerned.* This consciousness will build your spirit for breakthroughs. If there is still a sense of bondage in your consciousness, you will never have a complete breakthrough.

*PRAYER:* Lord, I reject every lie of the devil that I have accepted in the past. Holy Spirit, purge me and renew my mind.

*Topic: DEVELOP A RIGHT AND POSITIVE ATTITUDE TO THE WORD OF GOD*

*Text:* Job 23:12; 2 Timothy 3:16.

I will be highlighting for you today, how to develop a right and positive attitude towards the word of God so that you can break forth into what God has designed for you. You must understand that your attitude to the word of God is your attitude to God Himself. The attitude of the people of Nazareth to Jesus hindered them from accessing the blessing that He brought. For you to break through barriers in your destiny, consider the following points:

*1.* Avoid treating the word of God with disdain (Job 23:12).

*2.* Don’t treat the word of God as the word of men. Establishment and prosperity will manifest in your life when you show correct attitude to God’s word (2 Chr. 20:20b).

*3.* Treat the word of God as the word of God – The Bible was not a product of a committee working together to produce good literature. Holy men of God spoke out the Bible as the Holy Spirit moved them (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:19-21).

*4.* Believe in the word and expose yourself to it repeatedly.

*5.* Avoid unbelief.

*6.* Esteem the word of God more.

*7.* A correct attitude to God’s word is built on the foundation of a revelation of its divine origin.

*8.* Act on the word of God. Put the word to use in your life.

*9.* The word of God must become chief joy in our lives if we will get the best of God (Jer. 15:16).

Don’t get too familiar with the word in any aspect of your life. Saturate your whole life with it, and you will never regret it.


*PRAYER:* Holy Spirit, help me to saturate my life with the word of God regularly. I will not treat the word of God with disdain.

*HOW WRONG PERSPECTIVE AND BAD ATTITUDE CAN AFFECT YOUR MANIFESTATION AND BREAKTHROUGHS*

Job 23:12; 2 Thessalonians 2:13, 14 (EASY)

One of the critical factors you must consider to prevent breakdowns or turn your breakdowns into breakthroughs is your perspective and attitude to the word of God. A bad attitude to the word will hinder your breakthroughs, and a wrong perspective of God will limit what you should become or manifest in your destiny. Let your attitude about the word of God be right. You will not break forth in the things of destiny if you treat the word of God with disdain. The word of God is affected in its ability to produce and work by the attitude of the hearers. If you desire a better outcome in life, change your attitude to the word of God.

There are two possible ways you can receive the word of God; the first way is to receive God’s word as the word of men while the second is to accept it as the word of God. Remember the man in 2 Kings 7:1-2, after Elisha had spoken, the man reacted against the word, not considering it was the Lord speaking. The word was for his breakthrough, but he missed it and perished. Compare that man to Esther, after she received the word from Mordecai, she acted on the word, and it brought deliverance for Israel. What is the word that you have reacted against that is hindering your progress and breakthroughs? Your action or reaction to the word of God will determine your outcome in your destiny journey.


*PRAYER* : Lord, in any area or form that I have reacted against Your word, have mercy on me; let it not hinder my progress and breakthroughs in Jesus name.

TOPIC: BENEFITS OF THE COVENANT
Mark 7:25-30, Luke 11:11-13, Acts 27:23-25

Let us look at some of the benefits we have a covenant right to in Christ as believers.

1. Healing

Healing belongs to the believer; Jesus called healing “the children’s meat.” He implied that a child does not beg his father for what is his by sonship right. He approaches the table boldly to take of the things prepared therein. A dog, however, waits for the crumbs. So, healing belongs to us by the Blood of Christ.

2. Provision

Believers have a covenant right to be provided for by God. In our text from Luke 11, the Bible is saying that if men that are evil by nature will respect a covenant ground so well as not to give dangerous things to their sons, then God who is infinitely good, will do much more for His own Blood covenant sons.

3. Protection and Deliverance

Believers have a covenant right to be protected. Paul experienced this divine protection in demonstration in Acts 27. If you are God’s by the Blood of Christ, then you have a right to this kind of supernatural protection and deliverance.

God is waiting for believers to discover that they have a covenant standing with Him. The covenant of the Blood of Jesus is our security. You must know that you have a covenant with God, consummated by Christ, established and ratified by His Blood and supervised today by the Holy Spirit. It is the greatest force in the universe today and it can never fail!

PRAYER: I stand on my covenant position with Christ by His Blood and reject every demonic opposition against my life and affairs in Jesus name.

TOPIC: THE STRENGTH OF THE COVENANT
Exodus 24:7-8, Hebrews 4:16

Salvation is the entry point into a covenant relationship with the God of heaven. Just as we have been enjoying the privileges of the physical covenant relationships we are involved in without struggles (like marriage and friendship), so also, we can begin to enjoy the privileges of our covenant relationship with the God of heaven. The Word of God is simply the covenant of God with us in a written form.

The Bible is the book of the covenant. If you don’t know anything about covenants, you can’t plumb the depth of the truth of the Word of God, because the Bible is all about covenants between God and man. Most of the statements of the Bible are expressions of the covenant we have with God Almighty.

It is because we have approached the Bible with a wrong mentality that many people have not made a strong and bold stand on the word of God. Many approach God beggarly, when God said we should approach Him boldly. It takes a knowing that you have a covenant right in God’s presence for you to approach Him boldly as a son approaches his father. A wife approaches her husband based on covenant. The husband does not beg his wife for her body. He has a marriage covenant right to her body and vice versa. Through the sacrifice of Christ, we now have a Blood covenant right to all that Jesus has, and all that Jesus has is all that heaven can offer.

Tomorrow, we will look at some of the benefits we have a covenant right to in Christ.

PRAYER: Holy Spirit, help me to approach the Word of God with the right mentality and to enjoy the benefits I have as a child of God.

*TOPIC: FACTS ABOUT THE COVENANT*
Job 31:1, Hebrews 8:6

Today, I want to give you certain facts about the covenant.

*1. The covenant is for crisis and contradictory times and seasons, not for normal times.* If you have a tenancy agreement with your landlord, you don’t bother about it when things are okay, but when there is a disturbing situation, you pull the agreement.

*2. The covenant enlarges you beyond yourself.* If it is a righteous covenant, it adds to and multiplies you. If it is a negative demonic covenant, it reduces you somewhere.

*3. A covenant will bring obligations and responsibilities on both parties.* This also means you cannot cut a covenant with yourself, though you can with members of your body (Job 31:1).

*4. A covenant will require explanation to be understood and enjoyed.* Understanding must be supplied for it to be enjoyed. You can be in a covenant and live as though you are a stranger to it, just like a man that can read but does not read is no different from a man that cannot read.

*5. The covenant gives you a standing for sureness in yourself in the given situation.* Just like in marriage, a marriage covenant with your wife assures her that she is different from every other woman.

*6. The covenant is never for the fun of it.* It is always for very clearly spelt out reasons and purposes. In the covenant, you must recognize that there will be things expected of you and things expected of the other person.

*7. The covenant is binding on both parties.* You cannot reject a covenant call once you enter it.

*PRAYER:* Holy Spirit, take me on a journey in the covenant. Help me to live a fully covenant compliant life. Amen!

TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING THE COVENANT
Hosea 4:6

God is a covenant cutting, covenant keeping and covenant remembering God. He wants His people to work like that on the earth. Unfortunately, many of His children don’t have a full understanding of the covenant. Understanding is much more critical than passion where the covenant is concerned. There are too many passionate Christians who are not enjoying the benefits of the covenant.

Many of the things we do in the body of Christ have a covenant basis but because we don’t have a grip of the covenant in our minds, we do them and bring some mysticism around them. God wants to remove the mysticism and bring it into a level that you can grasp very clearly.

For example, when you plead the Blood of Jesus, do you know what you are doing? The word ‘plead’ is a legal term that is calling the attention of the Judge, in this case, God Almighty, to the covenant that is established on that Blood. It is calling the attention of the Judge to the price that was paid with that Blood and the reality of the covenant that has come into force.

When you plead the Blood, you must know that you are not doing something magical. There is a legal side and an actual side that is taking place in the Spirit. When you plead the Blood of Jesus over a land, you have the right to do that because the Blood was shed for sinners. You are pleading the Blood against the devil doing something against what Jesus had shed His Blood for.

PRAYER: I receive a baptism of understanding to walk in the fullness of the benefits of the covenant in Jesus name.

*TOPIC: YOUR SOUL’S PROSPERITY IS THE KEY TO BREAKTHROUGHS*
3 John 1:2-3


*The level of your breakdown is measured by the level to which your mind remains unrenewed.* An unrenewed mind is the greatest and darkest prison for a recreated spirit to be in, that is, when you are born again and your mind is not being renewed or prospering, then, your unrenewed mind becomes a prison for your spirit.

The level of your breakthrough is directly CONTROLLED AND DETERMINED by the limit of the prosperity of your soul. The absence of this will be breakdowns. If according to 3 John 2, you can only enjoy health and prosperity JUST AS your soul prospers, it means you will NOT enjoy health and prosperity JUST as your soul does NOT prosper!

*God’s will is for your prosperity,* He has no pleasure in your poverty as a child of God. Poverty and wants are direct works of Satan and God has no pleasure in it. His own works are prosperity and health. HE LINKS YOUR ABILITY TO WALK IN THESE TWO BLESSINGS TO THE PROSPERITY OF YOUR SOUL. That means your inability to walk in these two can also be traced to the lack of the prosperity of your soul.

What then does the prosperity of the soul mean? As used by John in 3 John 2, it is the same as “renewal of the mind” as used by Paul in Romans 12:2; it is also the same as “restoring of the soul”. Pursue the prosperity of your soul and it shall be well with you. Amen!

*PRAYER:* Lord, I dedicate myself to daily meditation and practice of Your word for the prosperity of my soul in Jesus' name, Amen!

TOPIC: THERE IS A GOD IN HEAVEN – WHAT CAN HE DO?
Psalm 136; Daniel 2:21

Today, I will be showing you some of the exploits of the divine mercy of God in the scriptures. Our text states some outstanding acts of God, but please note that this God can do a lot more than everything written of Him in the whole Bible. However, let us look at a few things – very few – of what He can do.

1. He changeth the times and the season – Dan. 2:21.

2. He removeth kings, setteth up kings. Our God in heaven is in control of governments and the political affairs of the earth. Every earthly king sits on his throne by the permission of the God in heaven. When they stop or finish fulfilling His will, He removes them.

3. He giveth wisdom unto the wise. It takes wisdom to handle life’s situations successfully. The wisdom that handles breakdowns and turns them to breakthroughs comes from God.

4. He giveth knowledge to them that know understanding. What turns a breakdown into a breakthrough is correct application of the knowledge God gives. God gives you access to impossible information that gives you breakthrough in life - Dan. 2:21

5. He revealeth deep and secret things – Deut. 29:29

6. He knoweth what is in the darkness. There is simply nothing new the devil can cook up that God does not know before he does it.

7. Light dwelleth in Him. Light is solution. Solution is with our God. Breakthroughs in life dwell with God, answers to life’s questions dwell with Him. Everything we need to make it in life dwells with Him.

PRAYER: Lord, I am confident that there is a God in heaven who is interested in my case and in my deliverance. I receive my victories in Jesus’ name. Amen!

TOPIC: THERE IS A GOD IN HEAVEN – WHO IS HE?
Isaiah 40:21-31; Isaiah 6:1

Truly, there is a God in heaven. In any situation of life you find yourself, if you can remember THERE IS A GOD IN HEAVEN, you will win. The God of heaven is the Controller of the Universe. He is the unchanging Changer behind the changing situations of life.

He is untouched by the problems of the earth, yet He is touched by the pain of man. He is the God of knowledge who weighs actions with perfect knowledge. He is the Heavenly Father that must hear and respond to the cry of His own. He is the Heavenly Lover of our souls, who gave His only beloved son to save us, who will spare nothing else to help us in times of need.

He is that Shepherd that David knew so well. He is the Great Provider that sent Elijah to that widow to preserve her life in famine. He is the One whose ways are past finding out. The Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent. The One who surrounds His people as mountains surrounding Jerusalem.

He is the JEALOUS One who is prepared to kill to help you. He gave Egypt for a ransom and Seba for you and He will do it again if need be! He is the Holy One of Israel whose eyes are too pure to behold sin. Beloved, this is the God that is in heaven. So, whenever you find yourself faced with a breakdown, remember THERE IS A GOD IN HEAVEN. He will turn it round for you, if you believe in Him!

PRAYER: Lord, I pray for a fresh baptism of the revelation of God over my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!

TOPIC: THE SITUATION AND GOD (2)
Psalm 44:1-5; James 1:2

When people get inside a situation that looks like a breakdown, it is easier to find out what they really believe in life. Breakdown is not to put you down, James 1:2 (NKJV) says, “… count it all joy WHEN you fall into various trials.” Therefore, it is not IF but WHEN. So, get ready. Be ready before they come.

Breakdown times are times when deeper levels of faith in God are worked in us; times when higher levels of revelation and understanding of fellowship with the Holy Spirit come our way. You must know how you can be ready BEFORE breakdown comes and what you can do WHEN breakdown comes so that it is turned to a breakthrough for you.

Every champion of God in life had, at one time or the other, dragged himself from the fractures, disillusionment, despair and shame of breakdowns. They discovered the secret of turning the breakdown to breakthrough and you and I must follow their examples.

The world is waiting for the man and woman with a testimony of victory to tell, someone who had been where they are, who trusted God for help and got it. I am NOT talking of those who apply man’s wisdom and call it a breakthrough. The lion’s den was real for Daniel. Goliath was real to David. The Red Sea was real for Moses. The issue of blood was real to that woman. Hezekiah was actually sick unto death. Yet in all these and many other cases, faith and trust in God turned the breakdown into a breakthrough.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive grace and divine enablement in developing my faith to get divine results in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Happy New Month! This month, I am going to share with you on how to experience a divine turnaround in your moment of breakdown as you apply God’s own principles. Man seems to be inseparable from troubles, and in most cases, it looks like God allows a lot of troubles to come our way in life to make and toughen us.

However, what you believe in the trouble, about the trouble, the outcome of the trouble, and your belief of God in times of stress and breakdown matter a lot. It speaks a lot about you! Prov. 24:10 (TLB), “You are a poor specimen if you can’t stand the pressure of adversity.” So, you can see that tough times reveal a lot about what you and I really are and truly believe.

Breakdown times are real! They are not a question of chance but of certainty. Breakdown in this context is speaking of those times when it looks like you are finished - times of sickness, opposition and great confusion in your heart (when you may not have done anything wrong, yet trouble has come).

Breakdowns are also times when REAL, not imagined problems have come. Times, when your little boat is tossed by the storms of life and you have to decide to move on or die. Times, when men mock you with “Where is your God now?” Times, when you have a FANTASTIC opportunity to worry, fret, give up, backslide or even curse God! You must learn faith and trust in God to turn that breakdown into a breakthrough.

PRAYER: Lord, help me not to waver in times of storm. I will call on You; I know You will answer me in Jesus’ name. Amen!

The voice of the masses should not be placed in the same class as the word of God. The fact that many are involved in a particular thing does not mean that it has God’s approval. The fact that many cut corners does not mean you should also cut corners.

Never promote another person’s experience above the Word of God. Many people like to do that, especially when they want to do something contrary to the will of God. The devil will help you to find people that have experiences that support your rebellion to make you go against the word of God. Once you go against the word of God on an issue and seemingly escape it, you will go against the word of God on other issues until it becomes your habit and you should expect the devil to come to collect payment soon.

The word of God will never lead you astray, it can only lead you upward and forward. It will abolish confusion because it is light unto your path. Don’t ever go against the scriptures because it is the word of God that will settle many confusing questions for you.

As we round up this month’s devotional, I want you to make a commitment today that you will not make it difficult for yourself to be led by the word of God and that you will follow God’s word. Commit yourself to study the word of God more than ever before that you may find out the will of God on every matter of life.

PRAYER: I make a fresh commitment today to study God’s Word more than ever before to find out His will over every matter that concerns me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today, we will look at the final leader we will discuss in this month’s devotional - *the Word of God. This is the overall leader.* His Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Ps. 119:105). *If you want to know the will of God over any subject of life, go to the word of God. This leader will show you.*

*Don’t do anything without finding out the will of God for that thing.* Find out what God has said about that matter. What has God said about bribery? What has God said about respect? What has God said about premarital sex? What has God said about adultery? What has God said about your present situation? It is somewhere in the bible; find it.

*The word of God is a direct expression of the thoughts of God.* Don’t think for God on any issue, go to what He has said, those are His thoughts on those issues. We are to find God’s thought in His word. It’s a very dangerous thing to think for God – it is the sin of presumption. Presumption is the mother of the great transgression. Presumptuous people are the ones that lie against the Holy Ghost. *Once you can find out what God has said about a matter, your need for counselling will reduce by about eighty per cent.*

*God’s word addresses every sphere of life. There is nothing in the world that the word of God does not address. He has set due order for everything under the sun, your responsibility is to find out what He has said.*

*PRAYER:* Dear Lord, I make a commitment today to allow Your Word to be my leader in Jesus’ name. Amen

*TOPIC: HAVE YOUR SENSES TRAINED*
Hebrews 5:12-14

*There is common sense and there is sanctified sense.* Everybody has common sense, but not everyone has sanctified sense. Common sense will alert you not to drive against traffic or in the path of an oncoming truck, but *God wants us as Christians to walk in a sanctified sense. He wants your senses trained so that you are thinking and operating spiritually.*

*A sanctified sense is ruled by the Spirit of God* and does not relate to things from the physical standpoint alone. It sees things as they really are in the spirit and bases its reaction on it, rather than being carried away by the mere façade.

Our senses are physical, but we are spirits operating in the physical world. Everything physical has a spiritual dimension to it and we must train our senses to go beyond the physical to the spiritual and see something beyond the obvious. *Train your ears to hear beyond the audible when people are talking.*

*You can train your senses to come to a place that it can discern what is good and what is evil* by exercising yourself in the word of God, practising the word, living by the word, and soaking the word of God into yourself repeatedly.

Let your heart be sensitive to God’s word. *Stop violating the word of God, or else it will make you unfit to perceive the leading of the Holy Spirit.* Start practising the word and it will connect you to all the other leaders that God has positioned for your profiting. *If you follow the word of God, you can never go astray.*

*PRAYER:* Dear Lord, today I choose to allow my senses to be trained to respond to the voice of God every day in Jesus’ name. Amen

TOPIC: CHOOSING THE WILL OF GOD ABOVE ALL ELSE
Matthew 6:10

The primary responsibility of the leaders we have reviewed thus far is to show us the will of God. If you do anything contrary to any of these leaders, you are out of the jurisdiction of God.

The devil likes to deceive Christians to think they can have their way and still enjoy the best of God. That is not true. You will pay for choosing your way. The first commandment in the bible of Satan is “Do what thou wilt” and the central theme of God’s kingdom is “Thy will be done”. What shows us as real Christians is not just that we are born again, it is that we live by the will of God. The will of God is not something that happens automatically to us, we need to choose it.

Any time you do anything that contradicts what any of these leaders has revealed to you, you are out of the will of God. If your spirit tells you not to embark on a journey and you go ahead, you are out of the will of God. The fact that nothing happens to you on the trip does not mean it has God’s approval.

Many times, when things happen to Christians, we try to blame it on God or something else. Doing this will make you miss the plan of God for your life. God does not want you to play the blame game; He wants you to accept responsibility so that you can find out where you missed it and how to correct yourself.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, I make a fresh decision to always choose Your will in every matter that concerns me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

TOPIC: OBSERVE THE RIGHT THINGS IN A LEADER
Philippians 4:9, 2 Kings 5:1, 20-27

When God puts you around a leader, choose to observe the right things. Many times when a successful person dies, the children can’t manage his success. Many things the father built starts to depreciate as the businesses don’t run as before. It could be the fault of the man himself because most of the time, having faced the suffering and struggles of a pioneer, he says “I don’t want my children to suffer as I suffered”. Therefore, he brings the spirit of softness into their lives. That is why Elijah produced Elisha and Elisha produced Gehazi. Elijah did not tolerate weakness when he was training Elisha. He didn’t tolerate nonsense. But look at Gehazi, when Elisha was seeing the spirit of the prophet, Gehazi was seeing the briefcase of the prophet.

Today, many are associating with men of God so as to carry their briefcases; they don’t want to carry their spirit. They want to know their tailor; they don’t want to know their fasting and prayer schedule. They want what is in their pockets; they don’t want what is in their hearts.

Paul explained that there are four steps before the ‘doing’ part in the kingdom. In Philippians 4:9, we see that the crux of this matter is in two words - “IN ME”. “In me” tells us that there must be a visible person with whom you are taking those first four steps. Notice that when you get to the level of ‘do-ing’, it has nothing to do with “in me”. But the first four steps are connected to a visible leader, “in me”, i.e., the things that you have learnt, received, heard and seen in me, do on your own.

PRAYER: Father, help me to follow through - to learn, receive, hear and observe from my visible leader(s) before doing in Jesus’ name.

TOPIC: THE BLESSINGS OF OBSERVING A VISIBLE LEADER
Philippians 4:9, 1 John 1:1-4

There are certain things that you are not going to receive unless you observe them in a visible leader. You’ll learn some practical things that you don’t see in books and then you’ll receive a spirit of what you are looking for. The preaching and teaching aspect of my ministry is the easiest to catch. Even if you are an ordinary member of our ministry, you are going to start preaching. You will see that grace resting upon you. You are going to start ministering.

Over and above that, there’s a need for you to understand the leadership aspect of my ministry. If God has brought you to me, there is that dimension that you need to imbibe and that isn’t going to come upon you by sitting in church, you need to get close; you will need to look at somebody.

Note the word “both” in Phil. 4:9, it means that you do them concurrently, not one after the other. There are some things that you need to learn and some things you need to receive. There are some things that you need to hear and other things you need to see in your visible leader and then do.

Doing is the last part of a 5-step chain. Most people make mistakes today because they jump into the doing part of marriage, business, ministry, leadership and many other things without doing the other four steps. It is like the trinket that is a set having a necklace, earrings, bangles, wrist chain and ankle chains. If you buy the trinket and they don’t give you the earrings, you say it is incomplete. You know what you’re looking for because it’s a set. The same way, life practices come in a set.

PRAYER: Father, show me the visible leader I must observe at every phase of my life in Jesus’ name.

*TOPIC: WHEN YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO (2)*
Psalm 23:1-3, Psalm 61:1-4, Judges 7:15

*If what I received creates something that looks contradictory to the Word of God, I go with the Word of God.* All these leaders of the kingdom are perfect in themselves, but in the transmission of instructions to the human mind and understanding, there is the possibility of the introduction of error. You must always allow for that possibility of error - that’s why we need to cross-check. In Judges 7, only Gideon understood what God wanted them to do.

*You should understand this in your walk with God: divine leading is always a subset of divine order.* Divine order comes out of divine command and divine pattern. Divine leading is always in the context of divine order. For example, the forty days fasting and praying we do in the ministry is something that God has dealt with us to do over the years, but it is not in the class of a divine instruction or a divine commandment. It is part of the programme of God, leadings of God for us to seek His face once a year. It’s a direction of God but not in that class to establish an order. This means that members of the church will have two choices to make and today's sharing will be of immense help.

When you find yourself in a situation and you want to know which option is the best for you, for example, “Should I fast or not? I’m undecided, either way, I may or may not.” Go with the visible leader.

*PRAYER:* Father, I ask that You help me to always see the divine order anywhere I find myself. Make it clear to me always so I can follow the Leader correctly in Jesus’ name.

*TOPIC: WHEN YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO (1)*

Today I want to share this truth with you - if you don’t know what to do, look at what a visible leader is doing or saying. If God has not told you what to do in a particular instance, and there are some instructions, God expects you to follow a visible godly leader.

*Imbibe the nature that follows the leader.* When you start practising the principle of following the leader, it will deliver you from the tendency towards error. “Follow the leader” does not mean just follow any leader. When you are strong in following the leader, you will be delivered from error. *The more you practice following the God-given leaders of the kingdom, the more you won’t follow the wrong leader.*

*If you start practising how to follow your spirit regularly, you will become proficient in automatically yielding to the direction of your spirit and following the things of the Spirit.* If I don’t know what to do in any situation, I just ask myself, what does the bible say about it? Then I go with what the bible has said if I don’t have anything in my spirit. If I have something in my spirit that contradicts the Word of God, as we have learnt earlier, I always go with the Word of God.

*Always drop anything that contradicts the Word of God because the leaders of the kingdom do not contradict each other.* The born again spirit inside you, the Holy Spirit inside you, the anointing of God, prophecy, the word of God, gifts of the spirit don’t contradict one another if we hear their instructions correctly.

*PRAYER:* Father, I thank you for the leadership of the Holy Spirit. I ask that You help me grow in my followership of Him in Jesus’ name.

*TOPIC: PROFITING BY VISIBLE LEADERS (3): GOD’S PROPHECY AS A VISIBLE LEADER*
2 Peter 1:19; Genesis 26:1-6, 16-17

Today, we will be looking at prophecy as another visible leader. *Prophecy is where God is going.* It will lead you accurately to a divine destination that God has designed for you. *Prophecy also shows you divine positions that God is leading you to.* It can be a word in a creative form bringing forth what is not there initially. Prophecy can also be in form of revelations, in a way that it gives insight into God’s purposes for you.

Be careful about seemingly divine communications that contradict your prophecy. *When you receive a leading that takes you out of God’s prophecy, such leading will lead you into error.* Remember yesterday, I talked about the word of prophecy that came during our annual convention that God was moving me from Ilesha to Lagos. That word was contrary to the written prophecy we had received in the ministry.

*Once you sense a shift from your prophecy, don’t follow it.* Isaac had a prophecy and followed God’s instruction. Despite the opposition he faced to get out from the land, he still dwelt in the valley of Gerar. Never move away from where your prophecy is to happen due to economic hardship, emotional feelings and false prophecy from men. The word, “more sure word of prophecy” is a comparison between the vision and the word. *Therefore, whatever you receive from your spirit or by prophecy or by any other spectacular encounter, if anything contradicts as little as one principle or truth of the Bible, drop it! It cannot be God because God will never violate His word.*

*PRAYER:* Holy Spirit, cause an alarm bell to ring in my spirit against any wrong prophecy or leading that can take me out of God’s will for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

*TOPIC: PROFITING BY VISIBLE LEADERS (2): UNDERSTANDING GOD’S PATTERN OF DEALING WITH YOU*
1 Samuel 3:1-11; 16:1-4

Another visible leader you must pay attention to is the pattern through which God relates with you. Everyone has a way that God speaks or communicates with them. In communicating with God, He doesn’t change His pattern with you. Anytime you receive another pattern different from how God communicates with you, it is a dangerous signal that you need to check critically and avoid.

I remember years ago when we had our annual convention in Ilesha, Osun State, Nigeria. On the last day, one of the guest speakers was ministering and brought a word for me that God is moving me to Lagos, a major city in South-West, Nigeria. I said this is contrary to the pattern of God’s dealing with me. When I was to move to Ilesha, God spoke to me in a certain way, and He came the same way when I was to get married. If God is going to move me out of town, He will use the same pattern to talk to me.

The pattern with which God relates with you will confirm any divine leading that comes to you through any invisible leader. God does not violate structure, and he is not an author of confusion. The same pattern God used to communicate with Samuel in the house of Eli was the same pattern He came to him several times on his journey. It was the same pattern God used when He told Samuel to go and anoint a king in the house of Jesse. Never neglect the pattern that God uses to come to you; it is your navigator to your appointed destination in life.

*PRAYER:* Lord, I receive better accuracy and sensitivity to frequently recognize divine leading and guidance in Jesus’ name. Amen.

TOPIC: PROFITING BY VISIBLE LEADERS (1)
Psalm 119:105; Hebrews 2:3

One of the principles you must imbibe as a believer is to master how to profit by visible leaders that God has identified for you. Some invisible leaders bring divine signals and communication to you, and this includes your spirit, the anointing, and dreams. When you receive communications or direction from an invisible leader that seems unclear, or you are confused at a point, get confirmation on what to do from a visible leader.

The Bible is one of the visible leaders God has highlighted for you to follow. The word of God is visible, and it is the highest leader. It confirms what you received from an invisible leader. The word of God does not contradict what the Holy Spirit tells you. The major challenge is not the word of God nor the Holy Spirit, but what you received. Is it actually from the Holy Spirit?

If there is a conflict between what you have received and the word of God, then you need to admit that you are wrong, and seek for confirmation from a visible leader that God has chosen for you. God cannot be wrong, and His word cannot be wrong as well. Where many people miss divine communications is at the level of transmitting what they received from their spirit to the soul and body. At this level, there is a high tendency to miss what the Holy Ghost is saying. You must be ready to admit that you missed it when you are wrong. If you have spent enough time with the word of God as a visible leader, you will know what God cannot say.

PRAYER: Holy Spirit, open my inner eyes to see Your leading through Your word. I will profit by Your word in the name of Jesus. Amen.
