The only reason for poverty and financial struggle in your life is a problem between you and the Holy Ghost and you need to make a decision to eliminate any problem between you and the Holy Ghost if you will enter into the wealth He offers.

The Holy Ghost had a solution for every financial problem people faced in the Bible, whether it was in the land of the heathen or in the land of Israel. In the feeding of the five thousand, when the disciples came to Jesus and said, “Sir, these people are too many, it is getting late and this place is a desert place; let us send the people away.” He told them to give them something to eat. They said, “Where are we going to find bread that these may eat a little.” The Bible says, “And this He said to test them for He himself knew what He was going to do.” He knew what to do through the Holy Spirit.

If you have the Holy Spirit inside you, you can know what to do in every situation; you may not know what to do in your head but through the Holy Spirit in your heart you can always know. Down through the years, irrespective of what people say, I have had no respect for what anybody has that did not come from God. I have seen people that had plenty and it all came crashing down. The devil has used cash to separate men from the Holy Ghost. No matter who you are, without the Holy Ghost, the devil will beat you someday. I have seen the devil use cash to destroy lives.

PRAYER: Lord, separate me from whatever can attack my relationship and walk with the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ name. Amen!.

The Holy Ghost is the greatest form of wealth on the earth; plug in to Him and find out how. The devil has deceived people for too long that cash is the highest form of wealth. People with plenty of cash without the Holy Ghost can lose all they have in a moment. If there is going to be an economic crash, they cannot have the advantage of divine pre-information to prepare for the crash but you can have a divine pre-information in the Holy Ghost and not be part of any economic crash.

The Shunamite woman had proper relationship with the things of the Holy Spirit and when a 7-year famine was imminent, Elisha the Prophet told her to move to another land. Once you understand that you have the Holy Ghost, the highest wealth form in you, you will begin to explore different wealth forms through the Holy Ghost. Do not neglect your advantage and think you are going to have an advantage in the world.

Joseph, a man with the Spirit of God, advised Pharaoh on how to prepare for the upcoming famine. DISCRETION AND WISDOM are two forces that the Holy Ghost gives a man and you should fellowship with Him enough to receive these forces into your life. Will you qualify whenever your world needs a man or a woman in whom the Spirit of God is in? It is time for you to enter into a covenant relationship with the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER: Lord, separate me from every wrong attitude that is destroying my relationship with the Holy Spirit as far as wealth is concerned in Jesus’ name.

THE HOLY GHOST AS YOUR FINANCIAL ADVANTAGE
JOHN 16:7


The word ‘expedient’ is rendered in The Complete Jewish Bible as “It is to your advantage.” The word expedient refers to something that is to your advantage. Thus we can read it as “it is to your advantage that I go away, if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come.” This means that when the Holy Ghost comes, He is your advantage - He is your financial advantage and your wealth advantage as a child of God. The Holy Ghost guides you in the direction that your blessings will flow from.

 
If as a Christian you do not understand the Holy Spirit as the highest form of wealth, you will cut yourself away from the foundational spiritual advantage of a Christian and resign to join the rat race like every other human being. The focus of God is to produce Christians that can boldly say, “God made me what I am today” and mean it sincerely from their hearts. Most wealthy people were made by the devil or they made their wealth the devil’s way. Some of these already made people eventually become born again and try to Christianize their wealth but their wealth is really not Christian wealth.

 
You need to understand the difference between making it financially by evil means or succeeding by your own effort and making your wealth by following God’s way of moving people into His programme and making provision for them. To get wealth God’s way, you must give priority to what is important, and you start by acknowledging that the foundation and the advantage of the believer is the Holy Ghost and everything that He brings.

Lord, I open up my life to divine instructions and directions from the Holy Ghost over my finances in Jesus’ name.

TOPIC: THE HOLY SPIRIT- THE HIGHEST FORM OF WEALTH ON EARTH TODAY
JOHN 16:7, 1 JOHN 2:20

The highest form of wealth on earth today is the Holy Spirit. With this knowledge you can immediately begin to see and understand the advantage the believer in Christ has, and the severity of the devil’s deception in making the children of God go after cash which is only an errand boy to other forms of wealth. The other forms of wealth don’t come in any particular order and you may construct your own order of importance but one thing is incontrovertible: the lowest form of wealth is cash and the highest form is the Holy Spirit.

There are three avenues through which the Holy Spirit can become wealth to you, namely: The Anointing, Divine revelation and The Calling of God upon your life (or your destiny). Divine placement and divine selection will result in wealth but you need to understand that all the other forms of wealth will answer to the Holy Ghost.

As a believer, if you do not understand the Holy Spirit as the advantage of the believer you will despise the Holy Spirit and resort to pursuing cash. Most human beings have the idea that wealth is only about cash but it is not so. Cash is the lowest and weakest form of wealth. In the hierarchy of power, money power is also on the lowest rung on the ladder of power. Anointing power is the highest.

The Holy Spirit was given us as our advantage as believers, yet you may say, “I know the Holy Spirit but why am I not wealthy?” It is because you have not honoured Him more than you honour cash. As Christians, you must respect the spiritual forms of wealth more than the physical forms because the spiritual forms create the physical forms.

PRAYER: Sweet Holy Spirit, I acknowledge your role in my life and I open up my life to your operation to channel wealth into my life in Jesus’ name!

TOPIC: PROPERTY AND WISDOM AS FORMS OF WEALTH
PROVERBS 14:24

I want to share with you two other channels that can bring wealth into your life; they are property and wisdom.

Property is both a form of wealth and a channel of wealth. Property as a wealth form can be portable or immovable. Depending on the context and the situation in which you find yourself, you concentrate on one or the other.

The Jewish nation, over the years, having suffered persecution and near extermination from different places in the world prefer to function more with portable wealth forms like education, knowledge and things that can move. In fact, some of them make very dangerous and bad decisions about acquisition of property because they know that their property can be destroyed if there is a violent crisis. They call buying of landed property outside of Israel bad business. In other societies, such problems do not exist and it becomes good business to acquire an immovable property there. You may need to consider certain factors to know whether to concentrate on portable or immovable wealth at any point in time.

Wisdom is not natural; it is from God. The Bible says in Proverbs chapter 14 verse 24, “the crown of the wise is their riches…” Wisdom automatically will translate to wealth. There is no record in the Bible of a wise man that was poor except in the book of Ecclesiastes chapter 9 verses 15-16 where it spoke of a wise man that was referred to as a poor wise man, that gave counsel to destroy an invading army and nobody respected his wisdom. His wisdom was despised because he did not take the crown of wisdom which is wealth.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive a baptism of the spirit of wisdom to make true riches and administer my properties in Jesus’ name.

The positive strategic relationships in your life are a form of wealth. Some of the wealthiest people in the world today count their wealth in relationships. Build critical relationships. A man of God made a powerful statement that “Dishonour is the seed for loss.” He said, “I cannot tell what your future will look like until I know who you choose to honour.” Honour is the law that binds and keeps relationships. Anywhere you go, let respect go ahead of you. You can never go wrong in a relationship if you send respect ahead of you. You do not know who is who.

Some who occupy positions with power assume that they are almighty and talk without manners; five years later he wishes he did not speak like that. Dishonour is the seed for loss. Every loss in your life can be traced to someone that you chose to dishonour. If you dishonour God, it will lead to eternal loss.

Some people know how to navigate their way in relationships so well that they always have what they need or want while others mismanage relationships so much that, even when they are in need and everything is so tight, nobody is willing to help them. You can have spiritual relationships and physical relationships. Do an audit of the relationships that are vital to your wealth development in life.

Relationships will make or break you. Some people are destroyed by wrong relationships. Be careful, because one wrong relationship can destroy much good and one good relationship can turn your life around for the better. Just like formal education and critical knowledge, relationship is a higher form of wealth than cash.

*PRAYER:* Lord, give me wisdom to handle and walk well in critical relationships that are to bring wealth into my life in Jesus’ name.

TOPIC: PURSUE CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE
PROVERBS 1:5, PHILIPPIANS 4:9

This is different from education. Education as I referred to yesterday, is formal education. Critical knowledge is the knowledge that governs different sectors of life that you are not taught in the four walls of an educational institution. It is like school after school. It is the knowledge that teaches you how to relate and interact with honour and respect. For example, it is critical knowledge for me now to teach my son how to dress well.

You need critical knowledge to prosper in the channel of wealth you want to venture into. You are not likely to succeed if you go into the buying and selling of any product without critical knowledge on how you can thrive in it.

In every field of life, there is provision for the acquisition of critical knowledge. It is called different names- for example in engineering it is called pupillage, where a student engineer attaches himself to a practicing engineer. In the work of the ministry, when people wonder and ask what the secret of success in ministry is, I say, “God’s way of training leaders is not through a formal school, particularly after you have gone through one; it is to attach you to somebody in order to train you.”

When you cross over from formal education to the critical knowledge section, it is a time to learn and ask questions. You will be cheating yourself and endangering your future if you do not ask questions when you are being trained for critical knowledge. How well you do in the acquisition of critical knowledge will affect your performance in life.

PRAYER: Lord, open my eyes to the areas I need to acquire critical knowledge for wealth flow in my life in Jesus’ name!.

Education is a form of wealth because the kind and quality of education you have will in the long run affect your ability to access cash and wealth. It will affect your ability to interact effectively in life. Whenever a society despises a professor and respects uneducated men because of their money, that society respects money more than education and it will affect the succeeding generations.

Every family must recognize the wealth that education can offer their children. Give your children not just an education but strategic and qualitative education; education with a view of what it can do for them in the future. Findings show that the Jews control the bulk of the wealth in the world today and it can be traced to the value they place on quality education. The Jews believe in going to the best schools and studying the most powerful courses there.

Today, you find a lot of young people who despise school and drop out of school. They prefer to go after sudden cash and short term activities, such as sports, that will earn them fast money. They do not understand that cash is the lowest form of wealth. The record is that a lot of superstars in the sporting world who made a lot of money but did not have good education to sustain them became victims of smarter people; and many of them died of overdose of drugs.

There are people who win lottery and lose all the money in a short time because they did not have the education to manage the cash. When you are educating your children or even yourself, know that you are developing a powerful form of wealth that can command cash. You acquire it with cash but it will command cash before long.

PRAYER: Lord, show me the hidden wealth that is in my line of education is Jesus’ name.

TOPIC: CASH IS THE LOWEST FORM OF WEALTH

There are some wealth forms and wealth channels that the Bible speaks about. Knowing them will help you to know what to pursue. Wealth forms refer to different forms in which wealth exists. For example, energy exists in various forms: electrical, mechanical, chemical, sound, solar, heat, light, nuclear and so on. People understand the different forms of energy and take advantage of them.

However, majority of human beings only deal with one wealth form i.e. cash. Since cash is the only form of wealth most people know because that is what they were taught and grew up relating with, they end up as strugglers in life. If the only form of wealth you understand is cash, you are already in financial struggle. Cash is one of the forms of wealth but it is the lowest form of wealth. When people say someone is a wealthy man, they usually think in terms of how much cash the person has. If cash is the only form of wealth you know, it will be the only wealth form you will respect and pursue.

In the ladder of wealth forms, cash is at the bottom rung while other wealth forms are higher. In life, the norm is that the higher commands the lower. Likewise, every higher form of wealth will command and control the lower form and as a result, cash is the errand boy of all the other forms of wealth. When people hear ‘money’, they go crazy. If money is all you have, you are not very wealthy- you are really a poor man. In the coming days, I will be showing you other forms of wealth.

These are ten powerful keys that will set you on a personal journey of kingdom wealth if you would incorporate them into your daily practices.

*1. Verbal confidence.* Break every yoke of intimidation and inferiority in yourself.

*2. Self-discipline.*

*3. Strategic savings.* Remember, the spirit of poverty works with how much you spend while the spirit of prosperity works with how much you save.”

*4. Strategic sowing and kingdom partnership.* Find a genuine ministry that you can partner with their assignment and this way, you partake of God’s covenant upon such a ministry.

*5. Due diligence and attention to details.*

*6. Eyes that see what others overlook.* This is one of the elements of a financial anointing and you should pray for eyes that see what others overlook.

*7. Increased sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.* The Holy Spirit is ready to show you where He has kept your wealth, wait on Him in prayer.

*8. Recognizing your seed, your seed time and your ground.*

*9. Divine location.* The ravens met Elijah at the brook God sent him. The widow woman was waiting for him where God sent him to. Divine provision is waiting for you in the place of divine location.

*10. The principle of honour:* What and who you choose to honour will determine the blessings that flow in your direction. Someone said “dishonour is the seed for loss.” You can get through humility and honouring the right person what you can never get through a formal education. Learn to imbibe honour. Young professionals need this counsel more.

*TOPIC: SPECIALIZED SAVINGS PROGRAMME FOR KINGDOM WEALTH*

You won’t know how heavy the rainfall is unless you have a tank to trap the rain. In the same vein, without a savings account, you won’t know how much God has blessed you. The devil steals your harvest when you say there’s not enough to save. Here are a few important savings accounts you should have:

*1. Targeted savings account:* Here, you are denying yourself for a particular reason. A good target is saving towards building your house. Graduates can save towards professional examinations.

*2. Rainy day account:* With this account, you are to have a savings balance equal to 6 months’ worth of your current salary if anything tampers with your work.

*3. Joseph’s account:* God showed me the Joseph’s account in 1992; save 20 percent of your earnings and you don’t touch it for 7 years. If you are faithful with your Joseph account, God can bring an opportunity for you to buy a house worth 7 million naira for 2 million.

*4. Gathering the crumbs account:* All those small lose change hanging around in your house. Gather the crumbs because there is plenty of wealth in fragments.

*5. Kids Savings Scheme:* This is to activate the operation of the spirit of prosperity upon your children by getting them involved in saving. Motivate them by promising to double every naira they save. Teach them to read their Bible when they wake up in the morning and meditate on their Bible and check their passbook before bed at night.

*PRAYER:* Lord, deliver me from every form of financial indiscipline making me to despise the truths about saving in Jesus’ name, Amen!

There are two sides to righteous, kingdom wealth namely: the spiritual and the natural side. Every Christian that wants to succeed financially must work both sides equally well.

On the spiritual side you find:

1. *Seed and sowing*
2. *The anointing*
3. *The Holy Spirit:* The Holy Spirit is the highest form of wealth. If you build a positive relationship with the Holy Spirit, He will begin to guide you and direct you to the things that are peculiar to you for you to get wealthy.

On the physical side you find:

1. *The best natural wisdom:* This will come either by your personal study or when you employ somebody. However, good books that cut the Holy Spirit out of your wealth strategy will get you into trouble. Once the Holy Ghost has led you into where God has reserved wealth for you, then make use of all the information available in your generation.
2. *Good relationships:* Build good relationships because positive relationships will enhance your future financially, spiritually and in every other way.
3. *Work. Work. Work:* Don’t be lazy because the hand of the diligent will always bear rule.
4. *Establish a savings scheme:* The spirit of poverty works with how much you spend while the spirit of prosperity works with how much you save. When you spend money daily without saving money daily, the spirit of poverty is already ahead in operation in your affairs. To break that yoke, you must save as you spend, either by changing how you spend or how you save.

PRAYER: Lord, deliver me from every habit and practice that is empowering the spirit of poverty in my life in Jesus’ name, Amen!

WISDOM FOR A DEBT-FREE WEDDING CEREMONY
LUKE 14:28-32

 

Regardless of what you are spending money on, always investigate the expenses required to sustain what you are starting. Wedding ceremonies are becoming a source of debt for many, and it ought not to be so. You or someone close to you will need this truth soon.
 

You don’t have to do an expensive wedding ceremony because wedding is different from marriage. Ensure you are not in debt after the wedding night because that is when the marriage begins. Marriage is an obligation the families owe you for being a good member of the family. Whether you know it or not, your family members will not want you to be put to shame on your wedding day. If your parents go into debt, there is no shame in it because it is an obligation they owe you, but it is folly for you to go into debt for your wedding. If your family cannot do it, then do what you can afford. 
 

Your wedding is one of the many seasons of harvest in your life. Don’t spend all that loved ones give you at this time. For example, if five people want to pay for your wedding cake, collect the money with gratitude. Then find a friend who is talented in baking cakes to bake your wedding cake as an obligation of friendship. Then save the excess money in an account for life after wedding. Enter your marriage in the blue and not in red –signifying debt. I don’t see any wisdom in you going into debt.
 

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the wisdom for a debt-free marriage for me and all friends and family members about to wed in Jesus’ name, Amen!

TOPIC: FOUR COUNSELS FOR KINGDOM WEALTH.
PROVERBS 9:8-12.


1. Increase your income.

Two ways to increase your income are to get more jobs or increase the streams of inflow into your life. When the increase of God begins to come, don’t spend your increase; use your increase to clear your debt because existing debt will function like a leaking hole that doesn’t let you plan. Don’t buy anything on credit; but if ever, let it be something tangible that will generate income later.

2. Don’t be an executive in your approach to finances

Beware of an executive spirit. Receiving an official car at work shouldn’t make you assume you have a car. Don’t take a loan to keep up an executive appearance. To be genuinely wealthy, you need to be an entrepreneur. Don’t fall prey to salespeople who say “buy it now and pay at the end of the month,” they will sabotage your financial planning and invite the spirit of debt.

3. Reduce your spending.

When you are coming out of debt, first STOP ALL SPENDING and then reduce spending when you have cleared the debt. Practice the law of accumulation ‘little by little’, until you get there.

4. Prosper at your level.

Your greatest problem starts when you are trying to prosper at another person’s level. Find your financial level and prosper there. There is a time when you shouldn’t feel embarrassed wearing fairly-used clothing or accepting fairly-used furniture from good relatives that you can vouch for their spiritual leanings.


PRAYER: Lord, deliver me from a heart of folly leading me to poverty; and deliver me from the spirit of debt in Jesus’ name, Amen.
