I'm a true believer in karma. You get what you give, whether it's bad or good. Karma is experience, and experience creates memory, and memory creates imagination and desire, and desire creates karma again.

How time flies; PAY BACK TIME FOR THE SILENT DICTATOR, GEJ.

- The then President Jonathan sacked the President of the Appeal court because he refused to compromise on the case involving the ruling party and ruling that forensic examination be allowed on materials used for the 2011 Presidential election. Even when the NJC asked that he be reinstated, Jonathan refused yet, he is your HERO OF DEMOCRACY.

- Jonathan withdrew the security details attached to then Governor Amaechi, Jonathan grounded the plane of Amaechi, Jonathan masterminded and hugely supported the division and crisis in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Jonathan allowed his wife to govern Rivers from Abuja, Jonathan used Mbu to embarrass and harass a sitting Governor, Jonathan crippled Rivers because Amaechi was the Governor yet, you still see Jonathan as a demigod.

- For appointing Sanusi Lamido as Emir of Kano which was within the rights and powers of the Kano State Government, Jonathan ordered security agents to lay siege at the Emir's palace. For days, the Emir operated from the Kano State Government House. You didn't call Jonathan by the dictatorship that he was acting out then.

- In his desperation to see the Governor Nyako impeached, The Presidency under Jonathan had the accounts of Adamawa State frozen. A State Government account oh and not personal account of the Governor and not once did you condemn the action nor call Jonathan the dictator he clearly was then.

A Texas-based Nigerian man Smart Madu has become internet sensation after he shared photos of Okro harvested from his farm in Texas,USA. According to him, every Nigerian should try and have a garden instead of blaming President Buhari on the rising cost of living. He wrote....

'Bumper harvest yesterday from my experimental Okra farm in Houston, Texas, USA.....

Every Nigerian who can, should cultivate a garden instead of blaming the rising cost of foodstuffs on President Buhari alone as if he is a father Christmas because, when a nation slides into recession, its citizens are compelled by a default to look deeply inwards in search of immediate, short and long-term solutions geared towards enduring self-reliance'.

Science/TechnologyRe: Journey To The Core: How Far Down Is The Center Of The Earth? by DOD1: 6:06am On Sep 19, 2016
sheunsheun:
Lemme share my own little knowledge as a Geographer!!!

For the sake of people still thinking if it is possible or not, You will decide for yourself if it is possible or not after reading this.

First, you'd have to pass through 22-44 miles (35-70 kilometers) of continental crust (3-6 miles/5-10 kilometers on the ocean floor) followed by 1,800 miles (2,900 kilometers) of mantle. After that, you'd have to traverse a Mars-sized outer core of liquid iron churning as hot as the sun's surface (10,000 degrees F, or 5,500 degrees C), then a solid, moon-sized inner core, and, some studies suggest, a liquid innermost core.

Now for the sake of people thinking we can use it as a travelling means, probably to china or what ever, lol. Did you consider gravity? I guess you forgot that, now the question is, what happens to gravity?

We will first have to pretend the Earth is a cold, uniform, inert ball of rock. While we're at it, let's ignore air resistance.

At the Earth's surface, gravity pulls on us at 32 feet (9.8 meters) per second squared. That means that, for each second you fall, you speed up by 32 feet per second -- but only near Earth's surface. Gravity is a function of mass, and mass is a property of matter. On the surface, all of Earth's matter lies below your feet but, as you fall, more and more of it surrounds you, exerting its own gravity. These horizontal tugs counterbalance each other and cancel out, but the increasing proportion of mass above your head exerts a growing counterforce to the proportionately decreasing mass below, so your acceleration slows as you near the core. At the planet's center, your acceleration due to gravity is zero -- Earth's mass surrounds you, gravity cancels out and you are weightless

You're still moving at a heck of a clip, though, so don't expect to stop there. Halfway to the center, your speed hits 15,000 mph (24,000 kph); 21 minutes after jumping in, you blow past the center at 18,000 mph (29,000 kph). Another 21 minutes later, with gravity slowing you as you go, you reach the far side and stop briefly in midair. Unless someone catches you, you'll then head back the way you came and start all over again. In our idealized case, this will continue indefinitely, like a pendulum or a spring, in a process called harmonic motion

Of course, reality has a tendency to intrude on even the best thought experiments.

WebmastersRe: Learn Web Design LIVE On Nairaland!!! by DOD1: 3:09am On Aug 29, 2016
iyenimofe:
Why Tutor Web design Directly on
Nairaland?

The Internet is a large source of Web Design Tutorials, some correct and
some are not. Since HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, etc may be foreign to a
newbie, he may be quite unsure of what he is learning.
To make matters worse, most tutorials do not have a FUNCTIONAL
interactive medium where questions can be asked and answered.
The Solution:
The problem will be solved if a platform is created to treat web design
tutorials and at the same time deal with questions posted by users. This
is where the thread comes in.
This thread will treat Web tutorials on HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript and so on.
These tutorials will be posted DIRECTLY HERE on the thread. Problems/
Questions can also be posted and since this is an open platform, it may
be answered by fellow Nairalanders who have had experience in our local
market.
All you have to do is sit back, visit the thread, read the posts, ask
questions (if any), contribute to or debunk posted tutorials. And you do
all of this without even leaving Nairaland! smiley How easier can it be?
Let’s set the ball rolling!!
WebmastersRe: How To Add Your Website To Google Chrome Appstore And Get Traffic To Ur Site by DOD1: 2:34am On Aug 29, 2016
Finepaparazy:
This tutorial explains step by step how to add your web
site (as a web app) to the Google Chrome Store.
I suggest you also read: benefits of adding your web site
to chrome to get an idea about the Chrome app store and
the multiple benefits gained by making your web site
available through the store.

<u>Preparation/u>
Make sure that before you start the process you have the
following items ready:
1. You need to be the verified owner in Google
Webmaster Tools for the site you want to add as a
web app in the Chrome web store. If not <a href="http://Google.com/webmasters"> Verify Your
site first.</a>

2. An icon of your web site. The size should be 128×128
and the format png. The filename of your icon should
be “icon_128.png”

3. A description about your web site. Try to be brief but
specific. Why should someone add your web site to
Chrome? What kind of services do you offer? Etc. The
limit is 15000 characters.

4. At least 2 screenshots. Can be either 1280×800 or
640×400.

5. Very important: You also need 2 promotional images.
One should be 440×280 and the other 920×680 in size.
Try to make your promotional images attractive so
that users will click on it and if they like it, add it to
their Chrome.

6. You also need to have a zip file ready with the
manifest file and icon. It’s a bit technical work but
have everything ready for you below:

7. Copy the text below and paste into notepad.
<i>{
"manifest_version": 2,
"name": "MP3NAIJALOADED.COM",
"description": "ADD DESCRIPTION (70
CHARACTERS).",
"version": "0.0.0.1",
"icons": {
"128": "icon_128.png"
},
"app": {
"urls": [
"HTTP://WWW.MP3NAIJALOADED.COM"
],
"launch": {
"web_url": "HTTP://WWW.MP3NAIJALOADED.COM"
}
}
}</i>

<code>1. Change the NAME and DESCRIPTION to match your
web site details, as well as URLS and WEB_URL.</code>

2. Save the file as manifest.json

3. Create a zip file with name myapp.zip that will contain
your icon file (icon_128.png) and the manifest.json
created above. If you are using Windows the easiest
way to create the zip file is to select both items in
Windows Explorer, right click and select SEND TO – >
COMPRESSED (ZIPPED) FOLDER.

<u>Once you have the zip file ready you can continue with
the steps below.
Adding your web site as a web app to
Chrome</u>
1. Go to <a href="https://chrome.google.com/webstore/developer/">GOOGLE CHROME DEVELOPER</a>
dashboard and login with your Google account.

2. If this is your first visit, click the link at the bottom of
the page, PAY THIS FEE NOW to pay the $5 fee. Once
you have completed the payment you can continue
with the rest of the steps.

3. Click the ADD NEW ITEM button.

4. You will be asked to select a zip file. Click the
CHOOSE FILE button and select the zip file created
using the instructions above (myapp.zip)

5. Click the UPLOAD button to finish the upload process.

6. You will then be asked to write the description, upload
the icon file, screenshots and promotional images,
select category and keywords.

7. Towards the button of the page you can also enter
your Google Analytics ID so that you get statistics in
your Analytics account.

8. That’s it, you can now click the PUBLISH CHANGES
and it is a matter of minutes for your web app to be
made available in the store!

Note: When you are logged it to Google, you can see your
web apps under YOUR APPS option from the left menu. If
you want to see how your apps look in the listings you
have to logout of your Google Account.

NEHLIVE:
A woman by the name of Christinah has set social media abuzz after her nude photos were posted in a Whatsapp prayer group.

Members of the Whatsapp prayer group were confused. They asked why one would send nudies to a group meant for prayers. The remorseful Christinah came out to apologize claiming that she wasn't trying to send her nudes to anyone and mistakenly sent it to the group as claimed, but that she gave someone her phone who later posted her photos by mistake.

It’s not clear whether Christianah was telling lies or not. But it wasn't also clear what the motive of the person who sent the photos to the prayer group was, but the screen-shots by a member of the group have gone viral.
