This is serious! I'm sure at least the state government is aware of this if not the FG. Guess they just overlook them |
Your conclusion about men being ''visual'' is wrong.'Cos as against what you were insinuating, men will not go for a physically endowed girl at the expense of one who can cook and has a good character(providing she's not effing ugly).Likewise,a lady won't go for a ugly but caring guy.Unless money is the factor that is actually attracting such a girl.Overall,I think striking a balance is all that matters
|
I've seen a west african country where their police never go about with guns, not even for once. You won't even sight any inside their police station. Mind you, I'm talking about a country I know very well and have observed for several years, although the population is far low and the country much smaller compare to nigeria. Any nigerian who has been to this country would know the country I'm talking about. Now I wonder, can this ever happen in nigeria, that the police will make arrest on the street without a gun and the person is not attempting to run away? |
*speechless* Thank U Father! I can't believe i came first! *takes akeregbe, and fills it with palmwine, then sits down to watch the rest of the thread*
Lol @ akeregbe |
airmark: They paid for Psquare and MayD services, only to see the twins on stage without MayD and his verse cut off. Payback's time. You remember Uganda, remember Idi Amin. No nonsense. |

Thanks mod 4 ur prompt reply. May I further ask the meaning of lwkmd, I didn't see it on google. |
Pls I'm kinda new on this forum n I've come across some abbreviation like: lmao, smh, btw etc. I don't know their meaning. Can u help out with the meaning of as many as possible. Thanks in anticipation. |
vivian chinaza: I'm from a very humble background or should I say poor? Yea poor sounds like it, "humble" just makes it bearable, Lol, ok. But rich guys keep coming for me, and no one has ever cared about my family's financial/social status. In fact, that's the first thing I tell them, I'm always like "dear, don't let my looks deceive you, I'm from a very humble background o." I'm Vivian, and that should be enough! |
deenee: Sorry to bust your bubble but the best way to win her heart is to have a very un-interested stance towards the lady in question. Women are put off by men who try hard at winning their hearts. You really almost succeeded in busting my bubble and I admire your view. But I want to give her benefit of the doubt, I'd give her attention like others have suggested and hope it turns out positive. Else, if I find myself in a similar situation next time, I bet you my experience would count because then I'm gonna make use of your approach. Thanks all the same. |
uboma: she is stil playing hard to get. U need to give her attention like calling her regularly to say hi, remember her birthday, pay her a visit occasionally with her consent, make her laugh whenever u are with her(ladies love guys who makes them laugh but overdo it so she doesnt take u for a clown) and take her out once in a while but above live within ur means. Dnt stretch urself financially coz at the end of d day she may stil dump u after milking u.Thanks I'm not particularly a very funny guy but I'll try. Besides I understand that when a lady is in love, she laughs at any joke the guy cracks even when it's not funny. I'll watch out for her reaction to this to know if she really enjoys being around me because as much as I want to please her, I want to be sure that I'm gradually winning her heart and not falling victim of a woman player whose mission is milking or sucking me dry like you said. |
Jerry spaco: Send her countless inspirational SMS nd see if u won't kill her softlyThanks, this is one great tool, will swing into action. |
Xflint: But above, that girl loves u and wants u.I would be glad to find out that u are right that she's not just out to toy wit my emotion. Thanks |
iamtheprincipal: @OP, you are almost there. Just a little more of your check-up calls, show of kindness, uncommon interest in her affairs and attention would win you this supposed 'heart' of hers, I bet you. Will apply these, thanks! |
Caracta: How am i supposed to know? Get to know her first. Do not judge a book by its cover. Look out for her strengths. Be sincere with her and watch out for red light.Got ur points, thanks a lot |
I met this lady exactly two yrs ago, we've gone out on a date on few occasions but she wouldn't visit me at home and I tend to be forgetting her. Unexpectedly this morning, she called and ended up visiting me this evening. While chatting, she told me that she's not in love with me yet until I win her heart. I was tempted to ask her what it takes to win her heart but I declined because I feel that will make me look like a mediocre. But the truth is I'm confused as to whether she craves for affection or material things (which I haven't got much to offer) or both. |
Mine goes: when u put a mark on a calabash n d calabash got missing, it is when u find d calabash that u can see d mark - a yoruba proverb. PS: like if u understand any of d proverbs to show that d translator is on point with d translation. Thanks |
HARDDON: if you aint the player player type, den all is kul! Daz uя major problem.I think dis is d best advice 4 u. |
The word is not judge, it is REASON but if judgment is what it takes to reason along with God, He does not take offence since it is only a means to an end. @Op that this thought came to ur mind at all is another proof of man's holier than thou attitude towards God. God is simpler than a deity. There comes a time in a man's life when 4 him 2 see right, he should see wrong. God wanted u 2 see some wrongs about ur conception of Him but tradition would not allow u. There comes a time u say "God u are holy" thinking u've honoured Him, and He's like "u are foolish, in ur literal understanding, what is holy about hardening the heart of pharaoh for his destruction even when he would have repented? Isn't that a sin against humanity?" Use this medium to reason. I'll talk 2 u about the relevance of atheism soon NB: that does not mean u can not have a better place, it all depend on ur understanding. |
It is traditional for religious freaks to drag god into everything even when those things are against the ethics of their religion. However, he who truly knows the ways of God frees his mind from the things that do not matter and so he will have God determine everything that happens in his life, winning lottery inclusive. |

Ileke-IdI.] Hausa Yoruba . . ... 150 tribes later Igbo Lol. |
@The poster, Igbo is spoken outside Igboland e.g in some parts of Rivers state (Opobo, Bonny, Buguma, Okrika etc). Non Igbo communities in Cross River and Benue state speak Igbo because of its nearness to Igboland.
Thanks 4 d info |
Igbo is probably hard because of its use of turn of phrase from what I hear, its a proverb rich language so its very context-heavy. Yeah, that might be true, but d problem I had hasn't got to d point of heavy context, it was just at d preliminary level i.e., pronouncing some of d words correctly while trying to learn was so difficult, and that discouraged me from continuing. |
I've lived in the east for sometime, precisely between 2005/2006, but in my experience, I found it difficult to learn igbo language even when they are willing to teach me. Most of the words are difficult to repeat after them. For instance, I've always heard that hausa language is very easy to learn and I don't doubt that, even though I've never really made an attempt to learn it. I've come across some hausa people in lagos, even lived with one and the truth is each time I tried to pick on some of their words, while they are talking, asking them for the meaning, it was never too difficult to say after them. Now I've seen a lot of hausas speaking yoruba and a lot of igbos, among other tribes, speaking yoruba both one-on-one and in movies too although I used to think this was because most of them live in lagos, until my experience in the east. That was when I started thinking that apart from me being yoruba, yoruba language is easier to learn; hence its popularity among other tribes, and hausa language follow suit. Hardly seen another tribe speaking igbo. What's your opinion on this? |

Dis may sound irrational but considering d way d notherners have always been hostile 2 other tribes living in their land on several ocasion (because of their religion) even b4 boko haram came wen many yorubas n igbos had 2 flee d north because of d killings, I think d hausas should be sidelined in dis practice of state of residence, if it must b. Let it b practised among other tribes of nigeria except d hausas, n mayb if it works out well, d hausas would b provoked into jealousy (serving as punishment 2 them) at d level of unity tht exist btw other tribes, n wanting 2 belong, they wil learn 2 live peaceably wit others n let go of their swords. But if sidelining d hausa tribe is seen by d lawmakers as dividing nigeria into two, then state of origin must continue. |
