Very good development. Pressure will be reduced in the lagos ports. As much as I don't like Tinubu, kudos to him for doing what other governments before him failed to do. |

AntiTerrorist:Youdonmeanit!!! Chai! And you still went ahead to marry her? |
Infotubia9ja:You are very correct. Without serious capital, forget it in this business. I remember my experience when I stocked 6000 fingerlings. I had just done my wedding and decided to put money I had saved into fish farming. I was using concrete ponds to raise 2-3 thousand previously. I never lost. But I choose to switch to earthen ponds and that's where i learnt a huge lesson. Covid 19 hit plus Buhari's economy started biting. My business slowed down practically. I could not keep feeding them. Out of over 900k invested, when i decided to sell off, everything that i got back was around 93k. I am not kidding. Cannibalism, birds and ofcourse fish left behind in the earthen pond by the previous owner, dealt with me. The previous owners fish left in the pond, really did a number on my guys. I counted about 12 of them. The least weighed 6kg. Imagine. They ate my guys wella. I had to suspend raising to table size. I went and understudied catfish breeding and it is now one of my side hustles. The capital outlay is quite much but I have put together everything I need now. My hatchery can produce up to 150k plus fingerlings and constantly. Feeding them is not a joke. I am still learning. I call my boss and just go to be around him from time to time in pursuit of knowledge. Nothing is impossible when the required knowledge is available. Get that knowledge. |
Freethinker87:Understand it from this perspective. Fish farming can be a good side hustle. Why save money in the bank when you can put it to work for you? I'm into fish farming as well. I learnt the trade from the very rudiments. I have my main business but I channel my money into fish farming. Because I know the business, my losses are very minimal if at all. In my circle are bankers, lawyers, businessmen and doctors(a consultant). I know how much these guys invest in fish farming and I see the zeal they pursue it with. It is not hustling to make ends meet. It is putting capital to work. You save money in the bank and the bank uses your money for business and still charges you on top. Nothing wrong in putting your money to work for you. It must not be fish farming. Find a business. Learn everything you need to know about it and put your money to work. |
I was doing great(still do) as a graphic designer. I studied economics and came out with a very good grade. Initially my plan was to go into the corporate world and do 9-5. All that changed when i met my boss. My boss is a first class graduate of mechanical engineering. Universities have begged him to lecture. His dad retired as a VC so he has academics around him a lot. He accepted to work for one university due to his father's pressure. He was hardly meeting up with his assigned days to lecture until the VC called him to his office and gave him a dressing down. This young man looked the VC in the face and told the VC he can pay his salary per year 5 times over and stormed out. I did some follow up and got to know that this young man is a large scale producer of catfish fingerlings(around 300k fingerlings every 4 weeks) and also has several earthen pond where he stocks up to 30,000 catfish per time. The CBN met him some years ago and offered him loans which he turned down. I was really intrigued and got close to him. He doesn't talk much but he likes seeing commitment and genuine interest. I showed plenty. When I saw how much returns he was getting every 8 weeks, nobody told me to understudy him which I did. I'm into breeding now as a side hustle. Let me tell you the truth. There's serious 'blood' money flowing around. I don't mean rituals. I mean money that appears to come from magic. Just be in the right business and learn everything you need to know about that business. Catfish business is one of them. If you have capital, know the business very well...forget. There's a reason why Israelis and Lebanese with Chinese of recent are massively dominating the catfish market in Nigeria. Those guys are cashing out like mad. |
Good for them. Are lecturers and professors not the people INEC uses to rig elections? I was witness to a situation right in a federal university where returned results were manipulated in favor of a governor in the north central. University staff, academic and non academic who were returning officers were manipulating results right there that afternoon. The funny thing is that both the APC and PDP shared dollars to them at each polling center. A friend of mine was given 400 dollars. I have no sympathy for any lecturer or university staff any more. |
Those are not cojoined twins per say. One of them is not fully developed and appears to lack a developed head and brain. It will need to be cut off to save the life of the fully developed child. |
Yet they have not exported any to my house o! My people is this fair? |
The thing is you can't talk and reason like they do. There is a mindset behind wealth and it comes with it's vocabulary. That different way of thinking, talking, investing time and resources is what differentiates the wealthy from the have nots. Anyways, let me clear your impression. Non of your friends are wealthy. If they stop working today can they maintain their lifestyle beyond a month or two? They are just day to day hustlers with a thing or two to show. Nothing stops you from hustling as well. |
slenderBeam1:Is yours not ashamed that you murder english like this? |
He is delusional |
Who remember Rita-Lori for Abj dat year? The club still dey? |
I designed and printed some books for a client in the United states which I've been sending to her through DHL to the US. Has taken most of my time this year. The Americans were impressed when they saw the quality of my work. We thank God. |
Cash out. The profits in dry season ugu farming can be crazy. You can harvest again and again. I envy you OP. Wait wtf? This topic was created in 2019? And it is just making front page? Imagine. |

Samantha125:Chai! Hanty, you can lie o. |
Anny69:Ofcourse why won't you reason this way. You drink sperm for a living obviously. Madam 69. |
The matter is very serious. There's a video going around of Jay Z beating up Beyonce and you could see bits of cocaine hanging off her hair. She was high out of her mind. And apparently, Jennifer Lopez liked having groups of men take turns f(uc)king her one after another right there in a room full of people in Diddy's mansion. Ben Affleck got hold of the tapes and Jay lo filed for divorce because according to her, he went snooping and spying on her. This lady accusing Jay Z of rape has not said which female celebrity was in the room then. It couldn't have been Beyonce as she was 19 at the time. Footage of the VMA after part that year had Jay Z with Mary J Blige, Lil Kim and another unnamed artist. Whatever it is, there's blood in the water and Diddy will not go down alone. But meanwhile, the world should not forget that the FBI has tapes of Donald Trump raping a 13 year old girl in Jeffrey Epstein's island. That tape has been suppressed because their are also tapes of Prince Andrew, brother to King Charles doing same. If Trumps tape comes out, everyone's tapes will. But black americans, who have never truly belonged to the club of the true elite, will keep being exposed. |
As they should. Look at the ugly fool even smiling. |
BlackyOne:I swear. He is a shameless man. So many children and he did not bear responsibility of training anyone in school. |
“All his wives and children work hard to train themselves in school and that is why we have 25 graduates in my family who struggled to train themselves with the efforts of their mothers.” That's a failure and an irresponsible father. Why give birth to children you refuse to train? |
As critical as these cables are, they will be the first point of attack Russia and China will target in the event of war with the West. If these cables are cut off, critical systems across most countries will be taken offline. We saw what that felt like when MTNs MainOne cable had issues earlier in the year. In effect, these cables control everything that makes our 21st century lifestyle possible. |
Emmitext89:Go to prison and collect your share. |
Anyone who really knows what Jos used to be will understand that Jos has lost its soul. The crises has taken out the very essence of Jos. The city has been balkanised. Jos no be Jos of before again. |
dominique:Bwahahahaha!!! Abeg no faint o. 😂😂😂. |
Abeg who is she? I mean the skank. What positive contributions has she made to society? O yeah i remember now. She's the angel of odour. |
Why should a female minister exist in the first place? I thought Paul said it is shameful for a woman to speak in church? But from what he wrote, you can clearly see that he is attacking Funke Adejumoke. She is the only female preacher who starts her sermon like that. |
Oga. Nairaland don tire for your matter. Haba! Na only you? Is your ex wife the only woman in the world? Only you have 33 threads on this matter. 33!! How can you be productive? Ha! Abeg ooo. |
press9jatv:Are you mad? What has them being in Lagos state got to do with anything? They may be based in Lagos but have most of thier operations all over the country and such make their money from these places. If these companies were forced to exclusively pay taxes to each state they operate in and not to the federal government that will be a great deal. A company headquartered in Lagos but has its operating base in Nasarawa(like Dangote sugar) should not be paying a majority of its tax to Lagos. The people in Awe local government of Nasarawa state, where dangote has a huge sugar cane farm, should benefit more. |
