Kobojunkie: Because she does not know the kind of man she may end up with in the future, she should avoid judging and condemning all men of this kind now so as to avoid consciously making the same choice for herself in the future? ,🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Are you people OK at all? Isn't judging it now as an unacceptable choice the right and conscious path towards avoiding the mistake in the future? ,😩😩😩😩 Stop thinking with your anus for once. Situations are not static. They can be very dynamic. You can take the conscious path all you want but it doesn't guarantee anything. It is easy to stay on a high horse and judge without having an iota of understanding why people remain in certain situations. In retrospect, it might be said that her decision to stay in the marriage was wrong. But only she knows why she did and she should not be judged for it. Mike Tyson has a favorite quote; "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth." Somethings are easier said than done. |

It is not out of place to think that the same speed the house of representatives deployed to intervene in the detention by the Nigerian army of the miyette allah head, should have also been deployed in seeking answers from the Nigerian army on how two men, held without any court order nor any stated crime, died in their custody.
As much as one shares sympathy with the army for the loss of its men in Okuama community, it must be pointed out that to this moment, the Nigerian army has not come clean on what its officers and men were doing in that community in the first place.
Allegations of bunkering deals gone wrong between factions, one of which had the backing of the army, have not been addressed.
The Niger Delta retains its potent for extreme restiveness. One that has necessitated the sacrifice of lives of men of the Nigerian army to contain in the past. In honour of our soldiers who lost their lives, it will be counter productive to see the army involved in anything that may trigger disharmony in the Niger Delta again. In line with and fidelity to its duty, the army must be seen to provide answers that will assuage troubled minds.
The entire occurrence in Okuama is unfortunate. |

DemonSlayer: Madly in love with? Naah, too old for that sh!t.
However, if the question were what turned you off from someone you fancied, I could pull out a fairly recent instance. I could list a bunch of things that turned me off, but here are the top 7.
1. She has a habit of interrupting. I'd be right in the middle of a sentence expressing my thoughts, and she'd just hijack the conversation. I find that rude and off-putting. I'm not used to struggling to put a word in, or having to raise my voice in a perfectly civil conversation just to be heard. Along the same lines is:
2. She talks too much. We could be on the phone for an hour, and she'd have talked for 55 minutes. I understand the stereotype of the talkative female, but a conversation is supposed to be a dialogue, not a soliloquy, for a reason. I tend to think this behavior signals a self-centered person.
About 3 weeks in, I knew virtually everything about her—down to the marital issues of her parents' neighbours back home. Leading us to:
3. She's always on the phone with her mom or sister, sharing the latest gossip—be it about an extended family member, a church member, a neighbour, etc. Every 10 or 15 minutes, the phone rings—mommy is calling. Even informing her mom of my presence when I visit. Not far from this is:
4. She shares secrets of mutual friends/acquaintances without being asked. I literally have a big sack of people's secrets that I'm taking to my grave and I don't understand why people just volunteer other people's secrets when there isn't a 🔫 pressed to their temple.
5. She talks about her own beauty too much. If it's not her luxuriant, long black hair, it's her spotless fair skin, and the list of people who fell for her because of these features. Let others compliment you; don't be so self-obsessed.
6. She fakes virtue. Always talking about acts of kindness and generosity that she and her family have done.
7. And finally, the most scary thing—the straw that broke the camel's back—is: she once gave me 32 missed calls in a single day. Maybe it's a joke or something, but to me, it was absolute psycho! 32 missed calls? That's some serious serial killer vibes. |

Mummyfour: He kept on accusing me of witchcraft and adultery. Things I was never ever involved in in my life. Kept on using the things that he knew about my family to insult me. He also went as far as saying without him in my life, I wouldn't amount to anything. That was the last straw. And the final nail in the coffin was when he said women that work are all prostitutes and if I was not a prostitute, I should not ever contemplate working or doing any business to earn my personal money.
The verbal and domestic abuse even in the public space was enough too for me to cease loving him Are you still with him? |

Let's all share our stories. I finished work with a client I had gone to visit in a hotel. I was by the road with my laptop in a bag. This was around 9pm. There was no curfew in town. A police van rolled up and asked me to identify myself which I did. They then drove off only to reverse and insisted I entered the vehicle. My protests fell on deaf ears. They drove me round town picking up a couple more people.
We(I and 2 ladies) were then taken to a police station where we were locked up in empty cells. I was alone in the cell. They drove off and left us like that without even doing any form if documentation nor even an explanation why we were locked up.
About two hours later, they returned. One of the policemen walked up to me and asked me if I was willing to settle them. I pointedly told him that I had done nothing wrong so why were they locking me up? He returned to his superior and told his boss that I was being hard headed. Few minutes later, I heard screams from the female cell. The police were raping one of the girls and beating her up at the same time. When they were done, one of them walked up to my cell, opened it up and commanded me out. Relief? Hell no!
They forced me into their vehicle and drove me to what I later found out was A division. I was thrown into a cell with hardened criminals, robbers and cultists. For some reason, they ignored me. Around 3pm the next day, a family lawyer got involved and came to the station. The police could not give reason why they had me locked up. I was brought out of the cell and told to dress up.
But before we could leave, one fat ugly police woman insisted that i must pay money for accommodation. Like how? They insisted that they accommodated me for the night and such I must pay accommodation fee! The lawyer wanted to make a scene but I quietly slipped 3k into the police woman's hand and I walked out.
Even among them, the police are wicked to each other. I know of a friend whose dad died in the line of duty. The police insisted that he agreed to pay them a certain percentage of his dad's due money before the file could be forwarded to Abuja for processing.
I don't know what image it is the police think they are protecting. We know the Nigerian police. We have nothing good to say about them |

What is wrong with us?
3 weeks back, zenith bank atm was only paying 4000 naira per time in 200 naira notes. And out of 8 atms only one was paying so you can imagine the queue. The line was not moving for over 40 minutes. Why? A POS operator was withdrawing money. She needed 150k. Mind you, the atm was only paying 4k per time. I have never in my life imagined strangling someone before but that day I came close. |
