PoliticsRe: Lagos To Spend $10 Billion On Rail Projects In 25 Years by doja(m): 6:05pm On Mar 23, 2011
While PDP is talking about zoning and how to share the money, another party is thinking about infrastructural development. ACN is definitely the party to rescue this country from under development.

There is already a planned  rail network to the Lekki airport that has not yet been built? My people let us vote with our head this time.

PoliticsRe: The Politics Of "our Time" by doja(m): 2:38pm On Mar 23, 2011
Now where is beaf?

We have always known that Jonathan is just too desperate and he is just too corrupt to be given another four years. As for the youths involved in this they are definitely not a part of us and at the right time they will be dealt with in our own ways.

Eldee has just earned my respect!

With the bolded, you have contradicted every single word you wrote. If you know the way things are done in Nigeria, why compare us with the US? Instead of wasting your time running yourself in circles, join us and vote the only candidate who will take Nigeria out of the current backwardness and set us on the path of greatness, in ways that will make us comparable to the US. The most visible sign to Ribadu lovers, is the fact that GEJ has so completely democratised and opened up the Nigerian political to the extent that an ex-fugitive and political exile is back home walking freely and contesting the highest position of the land. That my friend, is a momentous change in the way things are done in Nigeria.

The above said, I do not seem to recall either Bush or Clinton being spotted on a bus or taxi, headed out to campaign; I'm sure you don't as well.

. . .Anyways, the long and short is, the thread is based on an article that is another horrible lie. No need to continue to honour lies.
huh

Beaf:
No, the Nigerian President will join you to catch a bus at Mile 2. Rubbish.
The Nigerian President does not have to join you to catch a train at Oyingbo, but he does not have the moral right to use the state's resources for his campaign. You really need to look beyond your window to see how things are done in other places especially sane societies where people rule with a conscience.

In such societies, trips by the incumbent are declared 'Official' or 'Political' and In such instances where the trip is declared 'Political' the campaign team must pay the government the equivalent of a comparable first-class fare for each political traveller on each leg (you can read up about the campaign of Bill Clinton in 1996 and George W. Bush in 2004).Is Jonathan campaign team doing this?

We all know how all these things run in Nigeria so do not come here to give us what is not. You guys(advisers) are the reason Jonathan is not doing the right things, the quality of advice you give the man is questionable.

Cheap lies. Even our local musicians hire helicopters as a matter of routine and they don't have $10,000.00 per hour to throw around.

More important than the above, the Presidency has a fleet of helicopters and does not go about hiring and renting. Your story is another figment of the low quality imagination that churned out lies about Wole Soyinka to the extent he went to the police. Shame.. . .By the way, the liars should also find out what it truly costs to hire a helicopter. lol!
The fleet of helicopters are his personal properties I guess?is he suppose to run his campaign with state resources?

Nigerians seems to easily forget history. Why shld I vote Ribadu who is d same person that OBJ fraudulently promoted frm assistant commisioner of police to the rank of assistant inspector general of police nd d same ribadu didn't reject it nd nw he is singing justice nd equity, hmmm.pple re yet to kno who ribadu is,
I reserve my other comments
Ribadu was promoted by the Commander in chief of the armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria. How is that fraudulent? Kindly let us know the Ribadu that u are talking about because the Ribadu we know is far above board.

Enugu_Ukwu:
Nigerians are not corrupt - Ribadu.

So, free everyone you had sent to jail and let them slam you in jail for deceit. Mallam one leg Ribadu or na Robida self.
Corruption which originates from unchecked human desires is a universal phenomenon :where and when there are human beings there is the potential for corruption.

To say Nigerians are corrupt is to say every human being including your self, Buhari,Pastor adeboye,my Ribadu is corrupt or at least can be corrupt. Please corruption is by no means Nigeria's exclusive product it is the failure of institutions like the police, churches, mosques, marriage, that has led to the seemingly corrupt posture of Nigerians and this was the point ribadu was making at the debate.

I have chosen to give an elaborate response because I can understand your situation, comprehension is a very important aspect of communication my dear!

no level playing ground for me as long as your candidate ignore the fact that a bloody civil war for Buhari is bigger than fighting crime on the street by a policeman, that personally leading a team to chase Chadian rebels out of Nigeria is more daring than being an AIG and that jailing Tafa Balogun is not a big deal to changing the currency of this country in one swoop to stamp out corruption.
How in God's name did someone come up with this? leading a team to chase chadian rebels out of the country is more daring than carefully investigating and convicting corrupt civil servants and politicians?

PoliticsRe: Ribadu Is Meeting With Youths-live On Ait/tvc Now by doja(m): 12:22pm On Mar 21, 2011
Ribadu is best for this country at this time. Watching the program yesterday, I got a reassurance that this country is going to be great again.  Let us all try to vote right and convince our wards to do same. We have a great chance now to change this country.

Ribadu and Adeola represents the best this country can offer for now we should support them with our vote

PoliticsRe: NIGERIA : A nation that breeds idiots by doja(m): 10:44pm On Mar 20, 2011
Prof Pat Utomi is a good man but he is his own enemy. He has refused to join a mainstream political party. If you intend to be the president of a country you do not put your picture on a faceless party and expect Nigerians to bring you out.

If he was serious about contesting for the presidency he would have teamed up with the progresive and maybe by now we probably be talking about him.

He has another four years to retrace his steps anyway.

Please do not waste ur vote on Utomi this time, he does not stand any chance. There is a credible alternative, Nuhu Ribadu

I just hope our people can do the right thing this time else, we sentence ourselves to another four years of blind looting of the treasury, auto pilot kinda of leadership. We have a chance now to make things better.

Let us vote a leader whose words we can beieve,a leader whose actions we can trust .

PoliticsRe: How Did Ribadu Perform During The Presidential Debate? by doja(m): 3:30pm On Mar 20, 2011
Ribadu did very well. He handled the first question very well even though it was meant to distabilise him.

Whatever you guys will wish we believe about Tinubu, the man has shown over time that he can identify talents and this is evident in the caliber of people in his carbinet when he was the governor of lagos, his ability to see the leadership qualities in Fashola ,his ability to identify people like dele alake et al.

I do not know where the poster came about all the adjectives he used in qualifying Ribadu, but one thing is clear his hatred for the man has made it very difficult for him to see the good in the man.

If this presidential election is conducted one hundred times with the same set of candidates, I wil vote ribadu all the time because he is far better off than the rest.

Anyway, people whose opinion matter in this country have endorsed Ribadu so you can go ahead analysing what is not.

PoliticsRe: Tunde Bakare's Explosive Interview: "I Will Soon Expose Ribadu"! by doja(m): 4:58pm On Mar 14, 2011
This is the beginning of the end of this Pastor and his ambition.I had said I will stop to oppose Buhari/Bakare campaign in order not to weaken the opposition to PDP but this is the last straw and its now fight to finish.

All Buhari supporters had better advise him to come out with his expose on Ribadu now else, Buhari losses all the credibility he has been able to gather in the past few weeks, a word they say is enough for the wise

Nuhu Ribadu is the first Presidential Candidate that came out categorically to say he will make sure every Nigerian can be identified uniquely to ensure the problem of insecurity is reduced to the bearest minimum.

Electricity-5%
Industry-2%.
Population-10%
Education-55%
Technology-0.5%

You tell me why people talking about crime fighting and use this to elect a presidenthuh??
Crime fighting has to do with knowing who your citizens are. If you cant track ID or DL or vehicle registration, you tell me how crime fighting can be successful?
You need someone who has performed in the listed area above no matter where he or she comes from, even from Russia
Remove State of origin requirement from electing president.
Remove country of origin from electing president, narrow it down to citizenship.
Elect only those with proven track records in the above list, thats all.
Dear Tara2,

Nuhu Ribadu is the only Presidential Candidate that has come out categorically that he will make sure every Nigerian can be identified uniquely to ensure the problem of insecurity is reduced to the bearest minimum.

So if you are voting, please vote right this time so that we do not end up having a clueless leader or an unrepentant dictator!

@poster

u have given us five reasons why we should vote ACN into presidency which includes corruption, sincerity et al but how about the man (Tinubu) who sits at the helm of affairs of ACN and who will indirectly rule this nation if Ribadu wins. is he not guilty of all you have listed or will Ribadu arrest him immediately he wins? not likely so why waste my vote.
How come Tinubu is not holding down the development of Edo State or are u saying Tinubu is controlling Oshiomole? How come it is so so difficult for Farida Waziri to tie Tinubu down at least prosecute him for something? In case you do not know, he left office Four years ago and all we hear is that he is corrupt he is a drug peddler but nothing concrete to prosecute him with.

Anyway, I am not here for Tinubu I am here for a man whose vision I believe in. Oh my Ribadu, We cant wait!

I will collate pictures for you since that is the next line. You have failed to convince the house on why we should abandon a Ribadu for Buhari instead you are showing us pictures of people who ordinarily would gather even if an Alao Akala was on the podium.

As for shutting down Lagos, you are welcome.

My brother, I can feel u but we should not give up on the country. I will implore you to call your people in Nigeria and advise them on why they should vote for a man they can trust, on why they should put the future of their children first and above all other considerations.

Ribadu assembled the best of talents @ EFCC he will do same again when he becomes the President of the federal republic of Nigeria.

It Is possible!

If Nuhu Ribadu were serious about winning 2011, I would have voted for him! However, it appears like he is priming for 2015 which I think is really cool!! I'll preserve my vote till then! For now, what we need is a Breath of Fresh Air!
We cant wait for the Nigeria of 2015 under PDP,by that time the party must have finished the country. The time is now to rescue our nation.

GEJ cant be the fresh air we need he is just not it. I was watching the presidential rally @yenogoa today where he gave a special reference to alamesiagha, now tell me how a man whose mentor is alams, will fight corruption.

You have a chance now to be a part of history, to be a part of the change dont wait till 2015 when Ribadu will be going for a second term!

Most of the Ribadu's supporters are kids who spend most of their time on facebook, listening to hipop musics, watching european leagues, etc.

Really, when you have parents still footing your bills, you don't think too much - it is play play play.

But as you grow up, you begin to see things differently - maturity sets in and you actually need a working system to make ends meet - the reason we are agitating for Buhari presidency,  We need strong men to build strong institutions.

Lets keep working on those kids - sure they will reason with us before April 9.
I agree we are kids, but we will continue to engage adults like you whose ideas are ageing in discussions just may be we may be lucky to rejuvenate you and your ideas.

And that makes it right. Ribadu strikes a deal with a bunch of thieves to catch a bigger thief abi! Sorry bro, we do not want anyone who'll be striking deals with corrupt politicians. We need someone who'll wipe them all out and make future politicians think deeply before they get their hands soiled.

You've simply just pointed out one of the problems I have with Ribadu, he's willing to compromise justice to have his way!

As per you problems with Buhari, whom amongst those you list was a completely innocent person. Please for God's sake, name just a single innocent individual who got punished by Buhari. While you are at it, I'll also want you to point out a single corrupt politician who escaped Buhari's wrath amongst all those who were unable to embark on self imposed exile.
What Ribadu did was the smartest thing to do in the face of immunity clause and that is the practice everywhere in the world, that is what is done even by the FBI.

Do you get it at all? the punishment did not exist as at the time of commission of the crime that is what is wrong not if they were innocent or not .

Adekunle Ajasin was accused of corruption and abuse of office He was arraigned and tried before Buhari’s punitive tribunal but acquitted. Dissatisfied, Buhari ordered his re-trial. Again, the Tribunal could not find this man guilty of a single crime, so once again he was returned for trial, only to be acquitted of all charges of corruption or abuse of office. Was Chief Ajasin thereby released? No! He was ordered detained indefinitely, simply for the crime of winning an election!
Ebenezer  Babatope was never accused of, nor tried for any crime, much less found guilty but was in prison for the whole period buhari reigned.

For those  politician who escape Buhari's wrath go read about the case of Alhaji Alhaji Alhaji et al.

The basis on which General Buhari is being promoted as the alternative choice are shaky,  pitifully naive and depicts a calcified memory.

Genbuhari3:
Doja,

I have won more Ribadu supporters to the BB ticket, more fanatical supporters than you are.

Oh, Ribadu did not show his dictatorial tendencies? Dariye was impeached by 6 members of assemble. EFCC will arrest all house of assembly members, take them to lagos and back they go to impeach a governor! Dariye, Ladoja, Alams.

Balogun was dragged on the ground and had a car ran over him in Court under Ribadu's watch!

Don't bring up the dictatorial angle, because with little EFCC power, Ribadu almost beat Buhari to it!

And you think Ribadu will win? where? Lagos, Ondo?

As Tunde Bakare will always say, we win and the rest is victory. we will compare notes in April.

On funding, I have personally donated money to Buhari and I also canvassed and got 23 people to donate to the course. the money is part of what is funding the BB campaign. and please note that Free ride was given by Okada riders in Maiduguri yesterday to anybody who wants to go and receive Buhari/Bakare at the Airport. the poor are also contributing.

Our account is not dry because BB ticket is the only campaign trail that organised one day fasting and prayer before the kick-off of their rally. We are putting the best feet forward for the soul of this country. And God is with us
The legislators you mentioned had their hands soiled and they had to 'plead bargain' their way out by letting the bigger thief, their governors in.This was the tool that was available to Ribadu and it was within the law.

Please, this is different from an act that amounted to nothing less than judicial murder, the execution of a citizen under a retroactive decree. Bernard Ogedengbe a 29year old man was executed for a crime that did not carry a capital purnishment at the time it was committed, Ebenezer Babatope was in prison through out the tenure of Buhari for writting , Adekunle Ajasin for winning an election, Fela Anikulapo ,nduka irabo for speaking the truth, tunde thompson were all shown the side of Buhari you guys have refused to talk about.

Meanwhile, has anyone read any memoir on Buhari written by the man himself? He has refused to speak about all that happened during the period and that is the man you see as the messiah. He had a chance during the oputa panel to redeem himself but he was too big for Nigerians to question.

Please do not compare Ribadu with a GEJ,my Ribadu is in a class of his own.

PoliticsRe: 5 REASONS YOU SHOULD VOTE NUHU RIBADU by doja(op): 4:57pm On Mar 07, 2011
What experience is Buhari bringing? a military dictator is worse than an 'inexperience' Ribadu. Lee Kuan Yew of singapore was a civil servant before joining the Peoples Action Party you can read up his achievement in that country. What we call political experience is actually stealing experience which Ribadu does not need.

You assume Buhari does not have a Godfather? where do you think the campaign fund is coming from ? Ribadu has said it publicly that he does not want any dirty money from anybody and that is why the campaign as been a little bit dry.The campaign rely mainly on contributions from ordinary people and donors who believe in the cause.

The presidential election is just some days away we will soon find out the number of votes Bakare can gather for Buhari in the south west.
