PoliticsRe: President Goodluck Jonathan's Approval Rating by doja(m): 9:23am On Feb 13, 2011
@ Jarus
Please you are doing a great job. You are the reason I check up th Politics forum daily.

@ topic

The president's approval rating will continue to fall as long as he continues to surround himself with known looters and those politicians who have overtime been known to do this country no good.He has got not the finese of a president, his choice of words does not show him as someone who is articulate and so on.

If the opposition get there acts together I do not see the PDP winning the presidency with this man.
PoliticsRe: Wikileaks Cables: Nigeria Pressured Uk To Drop Charges Against Politician(ibori) by doja(m): 9:25am On Feb 06, 2011
You will not see people like Beaf comment on this kind of topic. I hope the opposition do not blow this chance that we have now to over throw the PDP. Buhari and Ribadu should form somee sort of alliance so that together we force out this party that is bent on milking us dry.
PoliticsRe: What Were Gen. Buhari's 2.5 Years' Achievements? by doja(m): 9:03am On Feb 06, 2011
@Kobo

You really do need to be calm and show some respect to other people,a first time visitor to this forum would see your response as that from an intolerant person the guy asked a valid question that requires same in response if you do not feel comfortable with that the best thing to do is to ignore.

@ddc machine

I was very young then but everyone that I know who was an adult at that time had something positive to say about that regime and from his days at PTF I can tell you that his impact was felt by all forget about what some section of the press will want you to believe.
PoliticsRe: Is Jonathan Humble Or Weak? by doja(m): 8:40am On Feb 06, 2011
Very very weak. combine that with the fact that that he is not intelligent enough to attract sharp minds to assist him in decision making processes, you can only conclude that he is very weak and dumb. The funny thing about this country is that we may end up with him for the next four years if we do not all work together to vote PDP out of office.

PoliticsRe: Ribadu Takes A First Jab At Jonathan----"resign Now, He Says"! by doja(m): 8:09pm On Jan 28, 2011
Ribadu has come out to tell Jonathan the plain truth but the problem with our country is simple -- we do not like to hear the truth and we detest people who stand for that. We have a clueless leader who became the Head of State because we are in a country like Nigeria.

Can any of the supporters of Jonathan explain

- the rationale behind the recent appointment by our 'president'?
- can anyone tell this forum GEJ's stand on critical issues like resource control, sovereign national conference, corruption etc
PoliticsRe: NL Official Presidential Opinion Poll by doja(m): 10:10pm On Jan 23, 2011
Nigeria I hail thee! Why do we see the truth glaringly but decides to preach falsehood.

How can anyone compare an intelligent Ribadu to a the dunce called Jona? How can anyone compare an incorruptible Ribadu with a Jonathan that has refused to take a stand against corruption and has continue to wine and dine with corrupt politicians?

Ribadu was bribed 15million dollars cash and he returned the money to the government, Jonathan was with Alamesiagha when he was stealing all the millions he can't tell us he was not a part of the looting.

Ribadu is a very competent administrator -- he built EFCC from the scratch to enviable heights, Jonathan cannot be said to posses this kind of administrative competence I can go on and on listing plausible reasons why we should all rally round Ribadu and make this happen we may not have a better chance at changing our dear country.

Let us take this oppurtunity let us take our country from the people that have held us back for so long. Let us forget about immediate gains an look at what this country would look like if we do the right thing.

Imagine what nigeria will look like with a less corrupt Police force, an efiicient civil service(corruption is the reason they are not efficient at the moment ) as for me and my household its Ribadu all the as for you use your consience!

You guys try and be a little more sensitive abeg! Do you think we love sufferhead? But 70 sorry 100 percent of the things we carry are neccessities for us! grin grin

Seriously, you guys end up using most of wat we pack without complaining. Besided what do u guys need eh? By the time I pack my cosmetics and make up, that's already one small suitcase . . . Even if I'm travelling for a night, I need my complete cosmetics! Then you talk about the clothing and shoes! Abeg make una chill jor . . . cool cool
Why do you need a complete set of cosmetics for a night? The truth is women do end up not using majority of what they pack in those bags.

I have travelled in public transport a number of times and I have noticed women are the main reason the buses are so choked up leaving the other passengers with little spaces to stretch their legs. They pack all sorts including bags of satchet(pure) water that is readily available at their destinations.

PoliticsRe: Picture Nigeria - Then, In 1963 - Now, In 2010 by doja(m): 8:24pm On Oct 02, 2010
, Fortnight ago, Akintola and the Sardauna of Sokoto met secretly in Ibadan, decided to call in the army to crush the growing rebellion. As far as the junior officers were concerned, that was the last straw. They launched their long-planned coup. "Our enemies," said Nzeogwu, "are the political profiteers, the men that seek bribes, those that seek to keep the country divided permanently so they can remain in office as Ministers, tribalists and nepotists, those that have corrupted our society and put the political calendar back." ,

PoliticsRe: Why All The Noise About Mexico's Oil Spill When Worse Goes On In Nd by doja(m): 8:04pm On Jun 20, 2010
The following are facts that I have been able to deduce from all the arguments so far,

, The problem of oil spill in the ND is as a result of sabotage from thieves and 'freedom fighters' and then the oil companies( rusty pipe lines etc.)
, Our so called freedom fighters have provided the oil companies an excuse by damaging pipelines and until we are able to put a stop to these madness then we can fight the oil companies for destroying our environment  the same way the Americans are fighting BP.
, Our leaders at all levels have failed us and we must not pretend about this. I do not expect a Yaradua to show more concern about the goings on in oloibiri for example if Business owners, Citizens in the area, the local government chairman, Governor, Senator & Other representatives have not shown enough concern to get the media involved to the extent that the federal Government would be forced to listen and do something, its a shame that our politician only use media propaganda to destroy their percieved enemies they cant use it to better the cause of their people.
,  We have not been fortunate enough to have the kind of leaders that can take initiatives but I believe we can force them to take actions that are beneficial to all by having a purposeful movement with serious articulated views.

Lastly, it is a serious sign of weakness to verbally attack people whose views are different from yours. We should try as much as we can to persuade people with superior argument not verbal assault.

Nairaland of course! but come to think of it,Nairaland seem to me to have remain at the particular spot it was in 2006 when I joined. There seem not to have been any improvement in the aesthetics, technology and business aspect   of the site.

Please do not get me wrong, but by now Seun should be amongst the richest Nigerian living but this is not so because he seem not have taken advantage of the business side of this wonderful product he has.

If I own Nairaland, Mike  Adenuga wouldn't think twice if I told him I'd love to marry bella!

SportsBetween Super Eagles And President Yaradua Who Comes Home First? by doja(op): 8:17am On Jan 24, 2010
With the lack luster performances of our 'darling' Super Eagles and the prolonged absence of our dear president  Umar Yaradua one is tempted to demand that this two should come back home as they are  damaging the re-branding effort of the country--The president is telling the whole world that there isn't any good specialist hospital in Nigeria to treat his ailment and the Super Eagles with its less than par showing  is definitely not a good brand.

So I ask this question, which of these two do u think will be home first?

For those still in doubt if Ribadu was in the country 4 real I advice u watch TVC late night news to c if the Ribadu therein was 'videoshopped' since there is a possibility of the pictures in circulation being 'photoshopped
