Business / Re: What's Your Experience With Qnet? by dolapolawrence: 12:58am On Apr 21
If you're considering japa, make sure you do thorough research. Google QNET to learn about their operations and offerings. Comments suggest they are a legitimate direct selling company. I advise you to visit their website, reach out to them directly, and inquire about their services to avoid misinformation.

Romance / Re: Help! I Can't Seem To Find The Perfect Gift. by dolapolawrence: 9:34am On Feb 08
Why does it have to be an advert?
People can see things they like and talk about them; there are many celebrities who are not brand ambassadors of a product, but because they like it, they talk about it. I'm just saying.
Romance / Help! I Can't Seem To Find The Perfect Gift. by dolapolawrence: 2:00pm On Feb 07
It's that time of the year again, and I cannot seem to find the right gift for her. While I've often resorted to more material gifts in the past, this year, I'm aiming for something that creates a lasting memory – a special moment that she'll cherish forever. I spoke to a couple of her friends; some had great suggestions. One of them advised me to look through the jewellery category of QNET. Frankly, they had a lot of beautiful collections. The ones that stood out to me are the Brooke, Blaze, and Emery sets. Both come with a stunning combination of a chain, bracelet, and earrings, each available in various colours.

Now, here's where I'm in a bit of a dilemma. Both sets are undeniably beautiful and unique in their own ways. The Brooke set exudes a timeless elegance, while the Blaze set adds a touch of modern sophistication. On the other hand, the Emery set captivates with its own distinct charm. As this is meant to be a surprise, I'm turning to the Nairaland community for some insights. I'd love to hear your thoughts if you've got a moment. Which set do you think would make a more memorable and cherished gift, or do I get both for her?

Business / How To Manage Your Business Spending And Make A Profit This December by dolapolawrence: 1:25pm On Dec 13, 2023
As the holiday season approaches, effective management of business spending becomes paramount for ensuring a profitable December.
To navigate the festive period successfully, consider implementing the following strategies:

1. Budget Wisely: Developing a budget to manage your business spending in December starts with allocating expenses and revenue so that you don't exceed your budget. Allocate resources strategically by considering increased holiday-related costs while ensuring profitability.
2. Strategic Marketing Campaigns: Plan marketing campaigns that capitalize on the festive season. Utilizing social media and promotion strategies like discounts, freebies, and the popular get-one-free will enable you to boost sales this festive season.
3. Prioritize Essential Expenses: Identify and prioritize essential business expenses. Focus on areas necessary for operations, customer satisfaction, and product/service delivery, ensuring you allocate resources where they matter most.
4. Negotiate Vendor Deals: Take advantage of the festive season to negotiate favourable deals with vendors. Seek discounts, bulk purchase options, or extended payment terms to optimize your spending without compromising quality.
5. Offer Bundled Packages: Create attractive bundled packages or promotions to encourage customers to purchase more. This not only boosts sales but also enhances the perceived value for your customers.
6. Work-Life Balance: Maintain a healthy work-life balance. Burnout can hinder long-term career growth. Prioritize self-care to ensure sustained performance and well-being.

Adopting a strategic and disciplined approach to business spending can position your enterprise for success in December. These measures contribute to a profitable month and lay the foundation for sustained financial health in the coming year.

Crime / Beware Of Fake Jobs Which End Up Being Human Trafficking Rings by dolapolawrence: 12:11pm On Nov 16, 2023
In recent times, there has been a concerning rise in incidents where job offers turn out to be elaborate scams, sometimes concealing sinister intentions such as human trafficking. These schemes prey on vulnerable individuals seeking employment opportunities, making it crucial for us all to be vigilant and informed.
It's essential to be aware of some common signs of fake job offers. These may include:

1. Job offers that promise high salaries or benefits that seem too good to be true.
2. Vague job descriptions without specific responsibilities or requirements.
3. Upfront Payment Requests.
4. No official emails, company websites, or physical office locations.
5. Urgency in securing personal information or making decisions quickly.

To protect ourselves, it's crucial to:

1. Verify the legitimacy of the company offering the job. Look for official websites, contact information, and reviews.
2. Trust Your Instincts. Don't ignore your gut feeling.
3. Share information about potential scams with friends and family and on platforms like Nairaland to raise awareness.
4. If you come across a suspected fake job offer or human trafficking scheme, report it to the appropriate authorities.

By staying vigilant and informed, we can collectively combat these scams and protect our community members from falling victim to such deceptive practices.

Investment / Things You Need To Know About Investment Opportunities by dolapolawrence: 4:56pm On Sep 28, 2023
One of the things being financially literate will teach you is investing. I like to explain investing as making your money work for you, so while it is great that you save, it is greater when you invest your money to earn returns.

However, you need to know what works for you and take note of the following:

1. Diversification is Key: Spread your investments to manage risk effectively.
2. Risk and Reward: Higher returns often come with higher risks. Understand your risk tolerance.
3. Research is Vital: Don't leap blindly. Thoroughly research potential investments.
4. Long-term Perspective: Patience pays off. Think long-term for substantial gains.
5. Stay Informed: Keep up with market trends and economic indicators.

I hope this helps someone!

Education / Thoughts On The Student Loan Bill by dolapolawrence: 5:02pm On Jul 24, 2023
Can students and parents here talk about the student loan bill passed into law last month? I know there have been a lot of conversations and thoughts on it since its passing, which has sparked both hope and concern among citizens. I had a conversation with my friend and his dad about this over the weekend, and I'd like new views on the matter.

For some, while the bill aims to provide financial assistance to students pursuing higher education, some are worried about the potential consequences of the policy. One concern is that technical courses will require more funding than non-technical courses, which could lead to unequal distribution of resources.

Additionally, some argue that the policy may create more problems than it solves, as it requires applicants or their parents to provide tax clearance, which may be difficult for some to obtain. Despite these concerns, others believe the bill is a step in the right direction and will continue to improve with development and progress. What are your thoughts on it?

Gaming / The Need For More Game Arcades In Nigeria by dolapolawrence: 12:07pm On May 24, 2023
I saw a tweet recently that said that by 2024 there would be more restaurants than people in Lagos. And it sounds funny, but that's the honest truth. Everyday new restaurants are popping up, and while this is good business, the amount of money that goes into setting up restaurants can go into developing more fun activities.
Hanging out options in Nigeria, especially Lagos, are restricted; it's always restaurants.

As much as we have foodies with the money to try out these restaurants, we also have people who want to have fun.
Imagine having a handful of game arcades that really get creative, and each has something different to offer in terms of games and activities. Lagos is full of youths who want to have fun and interact with other youths. Apart from that, these game arcades will also serve as employment for youths while creating premium entertainment.

Crime / Re: Nigerian Government Should Shut Down Quest International (QI) Now. SCAM by dolapolawrence: 1:39pm On Apr 14, 2023
Oga, several posts on this Nairaland have clearly explained that QNET is a direct selling, e-commerce company. It is not an investment scheme or pyramid scheme. In fact, it is not any type of scheme at all. It is a legitimate business where you only pay money to purchase products. If you want to become a distributor of QNET products, you can sign up as an independent representative (IR) through their e-commerce portal.

ThankUUJesus:
Total scam. When you pay 600k, they don't give you products to sell. Those products they claim they are selling, is just to cover up their crime. the main thing they need from you is the 600k and you don't get any $225 pay weekly if you don't register 2 people under you...it doesn't stop there...the two people who registers under you still needs to register people under them if not your payment stops.

assuming we have a good government that cares about it's citizens, QNet owners in Nigeria would have been arrested since and banned from Nigeria just as India did and other countries

Car Talk / The Best Road Trip Destinations In Nigeria by dolapolawrence: 1:51pm On Apr 13, 2023
God has blessed me with the privilege of travelling almost the length and breadth of Nigeria. If you live in a city as fast paced and overpopulated as Lagos, you tend to believe that Lagos is all there is to Nigeria. The day you travel out of Lagos to another state and see the rest of Nigeria, you’ll be blown away at how beautiful our country is.

There are numerous destinations that are perfect for road trips. From the picturesque Obudu Mountain Resort in Cross River State to the tranquil Yankari Game Reserve in Bauchi State, there is no shortage of breathtaking scenery. Other notable destinations include the Ikogosi Warm Springs in Ekiti State, the majestic Kajuru Castle in Kaduna State, and the historic Osun-Osogbo Sacred Grove in Osun State. The Awhum Waterfall in Enugu State, Idanre Hills in Ondo State, and Gurara Waterfalls in Niger State are must-visit destinations for those seeking natural wonders. The Ogbunike Caves in Anambra State also offer a unique experience for those interested in exploring natural formations.

Instead of planning a Vacation in the Maldives, plan a vacation to visit one of these places in Nigeria; believe me, you’ll be glad you did.

Business / How Can Financial Literacy Among Young People Help Change The Country’s Economy? by dolapolawrence: 2:09pm On Feb 28, 2023
Most people have little understanding of finances. Our rapidly changing world has caused difficulty in developing, implementing and following a financial plan hence the growing need for financial literacy.

Financial literacy is the knowledge necessary to make critical financial decisions and the ability to create, manage and multiply money. I was excited to get the opportunity to be a part of QNET’s FinGreen training programme. The initiative aimed to train 6,000 young Nigerians on financial literacy skills to become community ambassadors and change agents.

The training was eye-opening and had four modules: Mindset, Entrepreneurship/ Employability skills, Identifying frauds and Financial Literacy skills. It was the first time I became exposed to how financially literate people think and interact with money. I learnt how to make sound financial decisions using tools like budgeting, develop entrepreneurial skills and avoid financial fraud.
As a result of the training, I decided to become an entrepreneur who solves problems which lead to a ripple effect.

The bottom line is that improving financial literacy will highly impact the country's economy. Young people will become more productive in society by solving problems. They'll take calculated risks, create lucrative businesses, increase job opportunities and increase the country's revenue.

Suppose you want to learn more or get involved in FinGreen. In that case, you should visit this link https://www.qnetafrique.com/en/rythm-en/fingreen-financial-literacy/

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by dolapolawrence: 4:37pm On Feb 14, 2023
I’ve learnt from the company’s business model that it’s not a get-rich-quick scheme, meaning patience is required before returns are made. So if you know that the entrepreneur life is not for you, you shouldn’t bother venturing into the business. The only way one earns with QNET is by retailing products, so when a distributor sells the company’s products, he receives commissions and incentives based on that sale. Unlike a ponzi scheme where you only earn when you recruit people, in QNET, you earn when you sell a product or service. Visit the link I shared initially, and you’ll find out more yourself.

You speak like an agent of the organization.

How exactly does one get his ROI? How does the company work if not like a Ponzi?

It's good you want to find out before involving yourself. QNET isn’t a Ponzi scheme, and they don’t recruit people, either. They’re simply an e-commerce direct selling platform where you only earn when you sell products. You may visit their website, www.qnet.net, to find out more. Good luck!

Donjazet2:
Away from all these, does anyone have any idea about this qnet stuff on frontpage?

I have a friend involved in it, someone I would usually trust with financial ideas and this person was trying to sell me this stuff. I immediately smelt ponzi but he was going above and beyond to prove that this was not a ponzi scheme..

Anyone with any idea about this qnet stuff here?

Nairaland / General / Exciting Events That Happened In December 2022 by dolapolawrence: 1:46pm On Jan 24, 2023
The worldwide celebration of the Christmas season bears a cultural nuance for Nigerians.
Last year, there was an overload of events and a heated line-up of indoor and outdoor fun holiday activities. Every event had an audience. From comedy shows, beauty pageants, weddings, random owambe parties, carnivals, sightseeing, boat cruises at beaches, camping, mini staycations and getaways at resorts- every kind of event. The list is endless.

It was Detty December for some. The highlight of Christmas for me was the EatDrinkFestival Lagos. Why? It had to do with food. Lol.

This December was one to remember and was a roller coaster of back-to-back ‘parte after parte’. I hope your December was as Detty as mine.

OP search for QNET

Oga, What about Qnet? According to your direction, I have made my findings and discovered that they are simply a direct selling e-commerce platform based in Hongkong. They give people commissions for selling their products to others. So how does this post about a pharmacy company that recruits workers relate to QNET? Be sure to research before sullying the name of a legitimate company, or else you'll just be doing the same thing these scammers do.

Business / What Has Qnet’s Got To Do With Football? by dolapolawrence: 3:34pm On Dec 20, 2022
QNET! QNET! QNET!
This one will shock you just as it did to me.
In my boredom at home, when NEPA took the lights today, I did not have data to watch the highlights of today's world cup match; however, my decoder had recorded a few games previously from the Africa zone of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

While at it, I saw a sponsor crawler passing with QNET on it. Lol, I couldn't believe my eyes. So I paused it and took a screenshot. This is not photoshop.
QNET is indeed a world direct selling giant.
They sponsor football clubs and leagues; in this case, they sponsored the Africa zone of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, thus confirming the company’s passion and support for African football.
QNET, the same company we read so much negativity about on this platform, supported African football in its qualification for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
I decided to probe more, and I found out that this e-commerce and direct-selling company is the official direct-selling partner of Manchester City www.mancity.com and also of the CAF Inter-club competitions in Africa. There are other sports that this company supports, mainly because it realises that sports and entrepreneurship have common similarities, such as teamwork, hard work, and commitment. This further shows that QNET strives to be a well-rounded company that gives back to society in whichever capacity possible.

Therefore, it is unsurprising that scammers in Africa are using their names to dupe people. But let’s be more vigilant. If anyone comes to introduce you to the brand, go on to their official website by googling it yourself and make your own inquiries from their contacts online before you decide to give them your attention.

Career / QNET And The Fingreen Initiative by dolapolawrence: 4:32pm On Nov 17, 2022
QNET is a company that is dedicated to making a positive impact on the world. The company is often involved in Social impact initiatives, one of such initiatives is the FinGreen initiative right here in Nigeria.

QNET is a company focused on building micro-entrepreneurs which can be seen in how their direct selling module works. Based on this, the company understands that a better future starts with education and inclusion. Through the FinGreen programme, they support efforts to increase financial inclusion among young people by teaching them skills, habits, and attitudes to help them make informed financial decisions.

I know this much because I am one of the young people that was trained in this programme. During the two day training, we were coached on not just financial literacy, but as well as employability and entrepreneurial skills. Hence, whether one works in a structured company, or has a privately owned business, we were taught skills to help us excel in either area.

The training was life-changing because prior to the training I didn’t think too much about my finances, I always thought that money was just made to survive, especially with the current economic state of the country. However, after the enlightening training I have been able to make sound financial decisions that will benefit myself. I now save money, budget, make plans to invest in assets, and most importantly protect myself from financial scams.

At the end of the day this will help me to be a more productive member of society. I will be able to buy goods and services, and in the long run make my contribution to the economy by investing in businesses and creating jobs.

The FinGreen initiative by QNET is making a positive impact in the community by teaching financial literacy to young people. The program is helping to raise awareness about the importance of financial literacy and empowering young people to make sound financial decisions.

QNET is committed to making a difference in the lives of young people and is continually working to expand the reach of the FinGreen initiative. If you would like to learn more about the FinGreen initiative or get involved, please visit the QNET website.
