Religion / Re: You Have No Reason Not To Go To Church As A Real Believer by Dollarmerchant(f): 6:32pm On Sep 25, 2016
clitah:
Poster, i see this as timely and possible to correct me if i am wrong.
I have not been to church for 3 months now and reason is what i come across everyday that some men of God do.It worries me that i will sit and be educated unknowingly by some of these sort and still read their stories of rape and extortion here on nairaland the next day.
I still have some examples in my setting where some are not living up to expectations as i see it to be.
I look at it that naturally i do not habour any bad against anyone or think of taking advantage of people in any scenario.
I am not judging but men, the standards i see are appaling and this has affected me a great deal.
I have a gift of the spirit and its been of great help but i still.need to be convinced.
I need help please as i am not finding it funny being at home every Sunday.
Someone please talk to me.

I was addicted to going to church once until i realised it doesnt necessarily equate holiness that in fact I carry GOD in me. So I took time away from church to study books. Some good books help Read. 1. Outwitting the devil by Napoleon Hill. I will recommend a second book if you are through reading this, read it along with your bible. Cheers

Dearly beloved Pastor, I understand your need to encourage the flock but I would like to know Please who indeed is a true believer? Believer in what? Is a true believer a regular church goer or someone who believes and follows the teachings of CHRIST. I know I have read the bible over and over again particularly the teachings of JESUS CHRIST, but I have never seen a place where JESUS mentioned the necessity of going to a particular place, church/mountain/synagogue, in fact when CHRIST met the Samaritan woman by the well, he told her that the day is coming where true worshipers will neither go to Jerusalem or the mountains or Samaria, but will worship GOD in Spirit and truth.
From the teachings of JESUS, worshiping in Truth means LOVE (Love GOD with all your heart and soul, love your neighbour/humanity as yourself). Off course GOD is Spirit and the same GOD dwells in all of us, whether you are a Christian/Moslem/Hindu. So to worship in spirit means withdrawing from self and ego to search inwards and know the indwelling GOD. The GOD In whom we live, move and have our being.
Nevertheless, if you going to church daily makes you express love for all beings and love for GOD and also makes you feel good and happy, by all means go to church, but don't condemn those who have grown those who don't see any reason to go to church in order to love GOD or humanity, they will rather do it the way in the way they deem fit, they may have attained a higher knowledge.
.........Much love
Family / Re: My Wife Doesn't Work Yet Dinner Is Never Ready Before 9pm by Dollarmerchant(f): 4:32am On Sep 19, 2016
I find it hard to believe its possible for one to cook a meal for 3 to 4 hours, na stone she dey cook? Well all the same I will ask the following questions:
1. Do you have a TV in your kitchen? Does she watch Nollywood daily? if the answer is no, then
2. Does she watch Telemundo?
3. Or she watches Zee world.
If the answer to the abovequestions is no...
Then I will ask what kind of cooker do you use? Stove, gas cooker, charcoal pot or firewood? If stove, Is it faulty? If not a faulty stove, then.... I will say there is something wrong some where, either she is learning to cook with a manual(but even that won't take 4hours). I won't say she is lazy because this is more than being lazy. There is something wrong somewhere, so you both should sit down and talk over it, maybe she hates cooking, or she is not happy about something, cos the art of cooking is one of the greatest pleasures life offers to us. She obviously doesn't enjoy it.
Education / Re: Adeyeye Olorunfemi: "I Don’t Regret My Action" — Student Rusticated By UNILAG by Dollarmerchant(f): 5:24pm On Sep 18, 2016
Well, In my opinion, he deserved to be rusticated. If you have loads of ignoramous, incompetent lecturers, then you are better off without them. Unilag has a lot of seasoned lectures I respect so much like Prof Duro Oni, I am a Uniben graduate, true not all lecturers are sound or competent, but to pen them all as incompetent ignoramous bunch, then you will be telling us that all graduates of Unilag are half baked products, From his write Prof of Economics not able to bring solution to our nation's Economic situation only points to a frustrated young man looking for who to blame. Is the professor the minister of finance. When ASUU complain of poor funding of the educational sector, we all blame ASUU for going on strike. In the days of real activism NANS would have marched to Abuja to demand more funding for school, but this govt spends more on Information ministry than it spends on Education and we expect salaried lecturers to perform magic. Please don't apologise for you don't see anything good in Unilag, therefore they only did you a favour with the rustication. The decay is a national issue not a Unilag issue alone...

Politics / Re: FG Drags Anambra To Supreme Court, Slams N50bn Suit by Dollarmerchant(f): 12:18pm On Jun 23, 2016
I have followed this thread objectively, but I must speak for the way some people comment without even reading through, as they are blinded by Hatred. The said Land in Anambra state was acquired in 1992 by the Federal government but some unschooled hate blinded Nairaland commentors still blame Jonathan's Govt. Was Jonathan President in 1992. Please read well before you run to comment. This why Africa is backwards, they will never read.

The various Ages in human history are: 1. The Age of Reasoning (Classical or golden age)
2. The Age of Science and Technological advancement (Neoclassical Age)
3. The computer Age. (Mordern Age..21st Century)
4. Entrepreneurs (Present Age )
Now we are in the Entrepreneurship Age.. If you are out there and have been trying to get a good paying job for the past year or more without success, and still thinking of how to work for someone, please I beg of you, have a rethink, be brave enough to believe in yourself, your generation is waiting for you! The difference between you and Dangote, Adenuga and so many other great business empire owners, is the courage to dare! Take a risk, that is what entrepreneurship is all about!! If you fail to take the risk to venture, you generation may be doomed to servitude, especially today in Nigeria, where we hear that in our various ministeries and parastatals, job is done by allocation: ministers, politicians, governors, local govt chairman, amnesty leaders, even the president's mother has a list of candidates for the few available jobs. What becomes the faith of you and I. What I find most infuriating is that for some government jobs e.g Immigration, the job seekers are asked to pay money! Where in the world is it done? Dear job seekers, wake up! Welcome change, for its knocking @ your door today! If you don't know how to start something on your own, or you do know how but need money to start, I sincerely care! Please contact me on: 08099824706. I will show you a dignified way to start. I'm not promising you it will be easy but you will surely thank GOD sooner than you imagined!
