The school has a condition for you to pay your first semester tution before applying for visa ( it is written on the acceptance / admission letter). If you dont, you might also loose your admission slot. I think you should do as advised. hayoBams: Good evening everyone
I applied for admission at seneca college of which I have already been accepted. I haven't paid the tuition fee although I paid the application fee of about 100 cad. my question is
Do I need to pay the tuition fee before applying for a visa or I should just go ahead and submit my admission letter without payment of tuition. Which of these choices will affect my application negatively. |

I don't think you need to. Mine happened like that, by the time the funds dropped at my schools 3rd party receiver,( flywire) the exchange rate had increased by 50dollars but the school understood and told me to pay up when I arrive canada. Well, You can wait to hear from others but I dont think it's a thing to bother about. Khazirat: that means I don't need to generate any invoice again |

Congratulations. May the good lord do it for us that are waiting. Raeinn: Hi guys I’m here to drop my details like i said I would and it’s going to be a long post. but before then i just want to encourage anyone at the verge of giving up. Please do not give up i beg you, hold God tight. I have been fasting 3 times a week for 8months since I submitted my application, i am not joking about this. I am a first time applicant, never travelled out of Nigeria before or anything. I will be 29 in August and I applied without having a job, so I didn’t even have any money to show in my personal bank account. And I didn’t add it. In March 2021, i applied to Holland College and University of Manitoba. I wasn’t properly informed before applying to these schools, i had a brief encounter with wokos travels because he handled my University of Manitoba application, but along the line my spirit was convinced to work with him so I disregarded the admission from University of Manitoba and that from Holland College, because it was a diploma and not a graduate diploma. I graduated in 2018 and i have a CGPA of 4.27 and i was eligible to apply for a master’s degree but the tuition i was seeing was too much and I wanted to change career path. So I decided to research and I found Niagara College, I applied for a PGD in April and i got my admission in the same month. I was introduced to an agent here in Abuja by a family friend in Canada. He told me the documents i needed for the visa application and i brought those available. My mum is my sponsor and she retired in 2018, so she doesn’t even have any tangible thing doing at the moment. My greatest worry about my application is the fact that i do not bear the same surname with my mum, i answer my dad’s middle name and that’s not the surname my mum answers, so i was scared because I’m saying she is my mum but we answer different surnames. That was my biggest fear , coupled with the fact that i am unemployed and my sponsor is retired as well. I wrote my SOP by myself and I tried to explain as best as i could. After I submitted my application. That was when my friend sent me nairaland link and i kept wishing i had seen this forum before applying. I kept comparing my documents with that of other people and I would cry most times because I didn’t have half of what they had submitted. I emailed numerous MPs one replied and seemed interested in helping me but after i sent my details to him in early December he stopped replying my emails. I emailed IRCC countless times and generic response was all i got and i was tired. I ordered for GCMS notes twice in sept and November 2021 and i never got any. i was going to apply for the 3rd one today because i was really frustrated. Thanks to @makano and @vivigogos they kept encouraging me and guiding me, I’ve never been so tired of waiting for something to happen in my life, But i kept praying and fasting and begging God to make it a miracle and he did. Today after my fasting, i came online and read a lady’s story where she said she got her approval today and our timelines are similar, i said a silent prayer and tapped into her story. I remembered she said she got a request to upload her new LOA and i kept wondering if she got the request on her timeline or via email so I decided to check mine just incase, I checked and it was still the same way it has been since May,2021. I logged out and I was about to step out when i got two emails barely 2 minutes after I logged out of my portal saying there is and update concerning my application and i went back and logged in. My testimony was waiting for me. There is nothing God cannot do, please do not give up and never stop praying.

Congrats again and thanks for sharing. May Canada favour you. Akanoa: LANDING GIST, Happy new year dear Nairaland family. I am very sorry this is coming late Nairaland Family but I still hope this would be useful for those travelling soon. Travelling date: 24 - 26 December 2021. Flight: KLM Lagos to Amsterdam to Vancouver to Calgary Documents taken along: Enrollment letter Tuition receipt ArriveCan receipt Vaccination card Letter of Acceptance Covid 19 test result Letter of Approval/ Introduction letter Travel support letter from the school My flight was for 10:00 pm on the 24th of December 2021 KLM from Lagos. I got to the airport around 2:00 pm. As I entered the airport, I was directed to NDLEA where they did not bother to search me. Next I moved to the agricultural declaration unit where I was asked to pay 2k because I only had a bag containing foodstuffs. I went to weigh my bags and they overweighed the allowed 32 kg each. I had to shuffle stuffs around and also paid for 2 extra bags. I will advise you weigh your bags before leaving for the airport. Check-in for KLM started by 5:00 pm so it's advisable you get to the airport early because the queue no be for here. I was asked for my enrollment letter, arrivecan, covid test result and also tuition receipt at the Lagos airport by the airline officer. He wasn't convinced so I was asked to login to my school portal to confirm the documents I presented. Everything went smoothly from there from immigration to boarding the flight to Amsterdam. At Amsterdam, I had a layover of 8 hours but it didn't feel that long maybe because there was wifi. I wasn't asked to present plenty plenty documents at Immigration, just my passport and covid test result. The flight from Amsterdam to Vancouver was really long, more than 9 hours and I was unable to sleep. Towards the end of the flight I was feeling sick but the flight went well. I will advise you rest well before travelling to Canada because the journey is quite stressful. At Vancouver airport, I had to use the self service machine which was quite easy to use. I took the printed receipt to immigration and I was cleared to go to CBSA to get my study permit. Since it was Christmas, the officers weren't much. I was asked for my passport and letter of approval and my study permit was printed. No questions at the border and also no arrival test even though I had preregistered with switch health. I had to board another flight to Calgary and also Vancouver wasn't cold at all that day. The west jet flight to Calgary was delayed until midnight so I just explored the airport, the airport big die. At Calgary airport, I wasn't asked to present any documents maybe because it was a domestic flight. No covid testing at Calgary airport also. I went to pick my bags but one was unfortunately missing so I had to spend some extra time at the airport. At this point I was more than exhausted because I haven't slept for close to 36 hours just taking paracetamol due to the constant headache. By the time I was done at the airport I was greeted by the almighty Canada winter . Words cannot quantify the severity of the cold here. For those travelling soon and you are scared of how to know your way around the airport, don't worry you will be fine. Just follow others as you leave the plane and also ask people if you are confused though there are clear sighs to help you to your boarding gates. For those that just got their pprs, congratulations to you all and may Canada favor us all. And to those still waiting, it will end in praise. Also to those refused, kindly sit up, order your notes and refire. Even though I just got here, I can attest that Canada is worth all the wait. My sincere apologies once again for posting this late. Thank you. |

Hello everyone.
So I applied for winter session and classes are to start next week monday. I have enrolled for my classes since courses can be taken online.
About the study visa, my eligibility review started last month. Do you think it Is advisable I send IRcc my enrolment letter to notify them I'd be starting classes next week or theres no need for that. I'm thinking that might help them speed up on a decision.
Thanks for your responses. |

Congratulations! I hope to share my testimony too. slimberry16: Okay so time for timeline and Gist. This is my 6th admission to conestoga (crazy right ? ) I’ve been getting admission since 2018 but never really made it to the visa application stage because of one document or the other most especially POF but somehow this year I made it work and FINALLY applied. I’ve been denied US visa, Turkish visa and Australian visa in the past so I didn’t exactly have a good record. But the only thing I’ll say is, when you see agents RUN OOH !! They don’t do anything special you’ll end up doing all the work and the only thing they’ll do is fill forms ( secretary isonu ). I did my application by myself from admission to PPR. I don learn my lesson
TIMELINE Application submitted: Aug 23 Biometrics done : Aug 27 Medical Request: Oct 20 Medical done : Nov 12 Medical passed : Nov 22 BVL & PPR : Dec 13
DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED Sponsors SOA Affidavit of sponsorship Sponsors employment and promotion letter Sponsors Tax ID & Work ID Property documents in my name Employment letter Letter of introduction from my company All my certificates (Bsc and Professional) Birth certificate Police Certificate My personal statement of account Tuition payment ( only paid the 1500 deposit) Letter of Acceptance
That’s all (I think)
Again, If you haven’t applied do it by yourself! Agents don’t do anything special.
And oh thanks to mankind for sharing some vital information with me
Success to everyone still awaiting Goodnews✅ |

Congratulations ! heydamiejay: LONG POST ALERT
MARCH 2021 i got conditional offer from centennial college to study human resource management (pgd) i took a pause for 5months because i did not have enough money to pay for my deposit to get the proper admission letter (LOA), and also i did not have any means to to get proof of funds for visa application .so i had a friend who i said i could use his account he is into construction ,he had a balance of 20million but he wont be able to transfer the money to my account cos it is for his work.i remember asking a guru here if its possible to use a friends account and he was like 3rd party is not guarantee but nothing is impossible.so i took faith and use the account ,the worst will be a rejection and i will re strategize for my next application .i did not pay any deposit required by the school i just went ahead to use the admission deposit letter to apply.
As at when i applied in july 31 the statement of i used was 2moths late,it was not recent it was printed as at June 2nd ,i did not know the statement of account to be use has to be printed few days to your application to show its recent ,but i had already submitted my application.
my sop was just one page very scattered ,i wrote the wrong passport number in my sop .when i was addressing my sponsor i just wrote he is my uncle i did not add any picture or documents to prove relationship ,my home ties i said i had my mum and my dad back home to come back to . After 3moths and 2weeks i decided to send a web form to remind ircc that i need a decision to know my next step in life.i sent the web form like 2ce, after then i just got feed up and i stopped checking, maybe because i have not even paid any school fee that might even be the reason for delay ,i paid for gcms notes with @mekano i was even reluctant to send my details ,he called to follow up for my details till now i have not still sent it cos i gave up on the application. 3rd week of November i decided to check my account but i could not access it ,it continued like that for over a week ,last friday i just decided to try it on another browser and behold it was original passport request(PPR) it dropped since on the 7th of December but saw it on the 10th,mind you my phone screen is bad so i did not have access to my mail i tried opening it on my system but was giving me plenty authentication wahala i just left it .
when i saw the ppr i ran out of my office was jubilation on the street telling my mum the good news .the lord did it when i was almost giving up no school fee paid ,no plenty documents submitted i used a total outsiders account for proof of fund ,all indication was against me but he turned it around for me for good .thank you Lord, i pray this favor goes round

Ok Makano, Thanks a lot for your advise. makano: Hello Dollymon
Nairobi handles 90% of Nigerian applications..
So its okay, even though they are not the one handling your application, they can re-direct to the office handling your application..
But I will advise you send them emails rather than Web-forms...
With my experience, emails hits the target than Web-forms..
Peace |

Hi Makano, I sent mine to the Nairobi webform. I dont know the particular office handling my application, but I just sent mine to that office seeing that a lot of people here send theirs to Nairobi. Should I send to the general webform as well? makano: Hello Donkun
If you know the particular office that is handling your application , then you can send to that office..
If you don't know, just send a general webform, your query will be re-directed to the office handling your application.

I'm seeing some people talking about renewing their passports that do not have long validly. I think renewing before leaving will be better. If you are in Abuja, you can go to maitama passport express centre. You get your passport renewed within 24 - 48 hours. That immigration centre is mainly for people who needs to get a new passport or renew urgently. You just get to pay more. That was where I did mine when I had a visa interview and needed to renew mine cos the expiring date was near.
Peace.. |
