Making payments for accomadion is not a criteria for getting a visa but they will want to see that you have the living expenses available.
Chiziteremary:
Please i have another question if u dont mind. I have read the timelines of the people that got ppr. I havent seen anyone who made payment for accommodation or made any accommodation arrangements before ppr landed. Is that not a requirement for obtaining student visa. Pls reply biko

Check Seneca College. Their refund policy in case
in visa denial is not bad. They just deduct 200 dollars administrative fee.
Alobay:
@Anon123, kindly advise please, you understand my situation better.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by dollymon: 8:59am On Nov 21, 2021
I am no guru, but let me contribute.

I think the visa officers will like to see funds available to pay your fees for the whole study period, 10000cad for living expenses, about 3k cad for travelling & other expenses, and a little more left in the sponsors account for his/her other dependants if any. So you can do the calculation yourself.

Like I said, I am no guru but that's my own understanding about the funds thing. Let's wait for the experts to answer as well.
MARINA49:
[Can someone please answer my question ❓quote author=MARINA49 post=107813087]Good evening house. I've been a silent member of this group for a sometimes now. I'm a Nigerian but reside and work in the gambia. I teach in an international school. I've just secured an admission for a 2 year PGD in strategic global business management at conestoga college for spring 2022 . I'm preparing to apply for visa soon but I don't know whether my statement of account would be adequate to pull me through as I am going to sponsor my self. I got CAD24,000 in my personal account, please note that I have paid first semester tuition. I'm using my dad as support and he equally got about CAD 12,000 in his own account. Do you think those statements will be enough to take me through as per proof of fund sufficiency? Experts should please analyse and tell me If I have any chance. Patiently waiting for your responses.

Thank you for your response.
Anon123:
The attached is confirmation your doc has been sent..

Most times they acknowledge but other times they dont but does mean they havent received it.

You might resend after a day to be sure.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by dollymon: 11:02am On Nov 20, 2021
It took about four days after she did the medicals. I dont think you should bother about it, they will definately send yours. Mine was updated after 14 days but I did mine at Qlife though.
kennykentipsy:
Iom November 10 still no update

How many days did it take ??
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by dollymon: 8:17pm On Nov 19, 2021
I sent additional document via webform and this was the message I got. Does this mean they have received the document or am I to also get a personal acknowledgment message from them in my email?

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by dollymon: 8:12pm On Nov 19, 2021
Where did you do yours?.

My friend did hers at IOM on the 10th of Nov and it has been updated to pass on the portal.
kennykentipsy:
For those who did Medicals how many days on an average does it take to get medical passed ?

Is there anyone who did Medicals on Nov10 or later and has his/her result passed ?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by dollymon: 3:05pm On Nov 19, 2021
This is just a mere delay, order for your notes and reapply. I'm almost certain that your next application will be successful.

It will end in praise.

Teemenzo:
Guys, i got refused just now. See attached
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by dollymon: 9:58am On Nov 17, 2021
Ok. I already applied too.

Lets be hopeful that they will be fast with the process.

Teemenzo:
No, i had already applied. Just knowing about it yesterday so i checked it out.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by dollymon: 8:47am On Nov 17, 2021
Hi Teemenzo,

Is that the route you used too?
Teemenzo:
Its pretty easy. No one needs to teach you. Just follow the process as it is.

nairagrounds:
My good people of this platform, God, has done it oooooooo: PPR has landed.

Both emails came in at 6:35 and 6:38 AM, respectively. I never knew it could be that early.

WHAT GOD CANNOT DO DOESN'T EXIST.

I'll return to share my experience as I am still very much overwhelmed with Joy right now.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by dollymon: 5:42pm On Nov 10, 2021

First time applicant?
eclint:
Jesuuuuuuuuuuuuusssssss

I can't type very well currently cos I'm shaking.

I'll relax and come back for update.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by dollymon: 4:42pm On Nov 10, 2021
Amen ooo. The emotional trauma is something else. Not for the weak at all.
SwayB:
Congratulations to all ppr holders. I sometimes find it unfair that some people's application takes as long as 6 months plus. At least a decision should be made within three to four months at least. Mine is just about 2 months plus and i know the emotional trauma i sometimes encounter not to talk of those waiting for 6months to 1 year plus. Anyway it shall end in praise for us all.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by dollymon: 1:41pm On Nov 10, 2021
Ok. Thanks for your response
viviangogos:
If you feel like it, raise a webform to submit the documents... there is no crime or limitation to amount of webform one can raise to support their application. However, since they aren't your sponsors, I do not think backing that information up will make any difference too except you mentioned that as part of home ties cause you will need to return home to take care of them then by all means, upload the documents to back that up..

All the best
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by dollymon: 10:15am On Nov 10, 2021
Good morning everybody,

So I'm a little disturbed about something. I have submitted my application and in my SOP I stated that my both parents are retirees but I didnt submit any thing to back up the claim. I just attached pictures with them and added their birth certificates. My brother is my sponsor though and I attached every document neccessary from his end.

Should I still go ahead to submit certificates showing that my parents are retirees, they have documents to back up this claim and bond certificates. My dad also has a landed property certificate.

I have raised webform twice. The first time to submit a letter of sole signatory, and the other time to submit my upfront medicals.

If I raise another webform to submit these documents again, wont i look like some who is confused and desperate? Or do I just let it go.

My eligibility review hasn't started.

Pls guys I need your advice. Thanks

Just create a table of content on front page to highlight the page and content.

Your responses will be appreciated.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by dollymon: 12:58pm On Nov 01, 2021
Good afternoon guys,

I submitted an additional document via nairobi webform last 2 weeks. And this was the message that popped up on the page after sending. I'm guessing it's a generic message. Does this mean that they have most likely received the document or am I supposed to get an email directly from IRcc that they received it?

Thanks for your responses.

Hello Dolly

if the 100k is consistent before and after the 450k, then it cant be considered a lump sum..

A lump sum in summary is a sudden huge amount of money that the account isn't familiar with or close to the lump amount....

Peace

Whatever you do, make sure the bank statement is clear. That's one of the most important things.

Yes, 4mb or less. It shouldnt be more.
Jioke1994:
Hi ppr hopefuls!
My proof of means of financial support docs have been merged, but it's 13 mb after compression.
I got 4.09 mb after compressed again, but my uncle's bank statement is not clear.
Pls, must it be below 4 mb?
We tried to get mbs at my sponsor's bank branch, but it was not possible...First bank.
We got tired, and decided to print bank statement.

Okay. Thank you.
makano:
Hello Dolly

There is no problem with that, but the sponsor needs to state this in his letter of sponsorship that he actually sent the school fees into her account.. She must also state this in her SOP/LOE..

Peace
