Hello Justwise, Vicjustice and the good people of Nairaland, i applied to attend my friends graduation ceremony and that i will be going on tour as well after the graduation, i stated that i will be staying for 9 days but in the refusal letter the ECO stated that i said i will be staying for 5 days.... i booked tour and hotel reservation as well but was refused with limited right to appeal.... below is the explaination why the ECO denied me. please advise. in order to make a decision on wether or not to grant you entry clearance in this category, i have taken into account your stated circumstance in Nigeria, the reasons for your visit, and your proposed travel arrangements. you stated that you are employed as a marketing manager earning N210,415(£842) per month.you stated that you wish to travel to the uk for the purpose of attending a friends graduation ceremony. when considering your circumstances in Nigeria coupled with the reason for your visit and associated costs, i am not satisfied that application meets the requirements of paragraph 41(i) and ii of immigration rules

Good day house, i applied for a visa 18th of oct, i have not heard from them but i just noticed that i did not include the already booked hotel confirmation sent to my email by the hotel, but my friend whom i am attending her graduation wrote in the invitation letter that she has booked hotel and paid for some tour becos we will be going on tour after the graduation.... please can i send it or email it to them ? please advise what to do. thanks God bless u all.

[b]DOMINION1: vicjustice It is supposed to be very easy for anyone who receives your kind of salary to get a visa to any country in the world as long as s/he doesn't have any criminal or terrorism records, and s/he has genuine documentations: and ultimately knows what to say on interview.
And though your job can represent an obligation or home tie, but like I explained before, the N700k in your account is questionable and can really cost you your chance

what is your advise? like how much balance can one have that will be suitable please advise

By the way,what do you do for a living and how is the salary paid monthly?
If there are pay slips with tax clearance and you have a good job and educational background,you don't need more than the 700K.
You are good to go.
When I got my first 6 months UK visa,I had 300k balance and it was below my monthly salary.it was granted.
It showed no evidence of savings.
I had letters of appointment,confirmation and payslips.
Also marraige and other ties were there.
But financially I had 300k balance.Had been denied 3 years previously for lack of funds!!!!!!!!!
So if you satisfy the other criteria and you have the documents and you have already done hotel booking,you are good to go.
A friend told me all her visas to the UK from europe were with account less or equal to 1000 Euro.
Much less than 250K.Now she wants to renew in nigeria with same details[/b][/b]


@Ayobj, I am working in an oil and Gas co and i am the Sales/Marketing manager, i have all my payslips, my salary is paid directly to my acc from the company and i will be getting all other relevant doc from the company,my friend is doing his graduation, i want to use the medium to go for holiday which means i will be going for tour as well, for my hotel i will pay in full and the tour in full as well, after that payment i will be left with about N700kplus as balance, i will be paid for Holiday as well whcih will be stated in my vacation letter from the company, i am not married yet, i have a Landed property but not with a C of O, i dont l know yet if i will include that or not because the Embassy prefares to see C of o.

Your Salary is impressive to earn you the merit of any visa, but your financial stance is highly questionable: N700k as the closing balance of a person who receives N210k monthly is highly suspicious. And apart from it being as it is, the Visa Officer might not be encouraged to approve your application for concern that your trip would render you broke and may ruin your financial future

Thanks for your response, Please note that the Hotel will be paid for in full and the tours paid for in full as well via my friend that is graduating by Nov and my names will be on the payment confirmation from the Hotel and tour company, despite all these i will still be left with a closing balance of N700k plus, note as well that i will get holiday pay from my company which will be stated in my vacation letter, i will be applying by middle of October meaning by the ending of october i will still get another salary, please i will like you to advise on this. thanks and God bless you and every one on this forum for your hard work and kind hearts.

Hello Just wise , ur guidelines on uk visa are very informative and God will blesS u for that, i will be attending my frienda graduation by nov and i have the following questions to ask

1. I AM A WORKER, AND MY TAX IS DEDUCTED FROM MY WAGES AND IT SHOWS ON MY PAY SLIP, DO O NEED TO INCLUDE PERSONAL TAX CLEARANCE TO MY APPLICATION?

2. I HAVE A LANDED PROPERTY BUT NOT WITH A C OF O CAN I INCLUDE IT?

1. Is it a must that i include a personal tax clearance? because i am working and i am earning N210,415 monthly which is paid to my acc monthly, plz note that i can request for my wage slips from the management.

2. How much balance do i need to leave as the closing balance?

3. I have a landed property, but without a C of O, can i include that?
