I believe the over 700 tribes in Nigeria, their kings or traditional representatives should all be relocated to a very big city and their grip of traditional control over the people should be made zero.in fact,when Nigerians see their traditional rulers living peacefully in their mega city, Nigerians in various states of the country,would be more inclined to live in harmony.We really need to look beyond ethnic profiling in our daily activity as a country that want to progress.An isoko man for example residing in imo state having gained state citizenship, should be able to contest and participate actively in government of the state,and all Nigerians been legal resident of any state they found themselves in(naturalized or gained citizenship of that state by birth)irrespective of his tribe of origin can vote and have a say irrespective of the state they currently reside and should have no fear of ethnic attacks on him or his business someday.

Only a decentralized Nigeria like this can achieve meaningful long and large scale development.also our traditional practices accross each of the tribes should be ceremonial not a fundamental block in shaping our views as Nigerians.

We agree with this view, but we also know that the heavily censored, state-controlled, agenda-driven media is not going to change the way it disseminates information. After all, the media’s objective is not to inform but to shape public opinion.

But we’re getting off-topic. What we want to show is that Israel did not agree to the ceasefire because it had achieved its strategic objectives, but because it was getting hammered and wanted to stop the bleeding. We make that judgement based on a shortlist of the key military, intelligence, industrial, energy, and R& facilities that were struck by precision guided ballistic missiles that wreaked havoc across Israel.

Keep in mind, Operation True Promise III unleashed no less than 22 salvos of state-of-the-art ballistic missiles (many used for the first time) that delivered withering blows to a number of heavily fortified Israeli sites that were regarded as ‘the most protected military bases in the world.’ Iran’s missiles blew through Israel’s defenses like at every turn reducing their targets to twisted metal and broken blocks of cinder. (One weapons expert estimates that just 5 percent of Iran’s ballistic missiles were intercepted.) This is from an article at Press TV:

Iran destroyed the so-called “Israeli Pentagon”, the Kirya military-intelligence complex in central Tel Aviv, which is shown as a smoldering hulk in the few photos published on X. Despite being one of the most heavily fortified locations in the occupied territories, protected by a multilayered shield of Israeli and American defense systems, the complex was unable to repel the Iranian missile barrage in the very first phases of True Promise III….

In Haifa, a precision-guided Iranian missile struck a high-rise building housing branches of the Israeli ministry of interior affairs responsible for internal military coordination. The strike disrupted logistical networks and emergency response systems at the municipal level. Press TV

Iranian missiles also took-out the Aman military intelligence headquarters at the Glilot Mizrah Interchange, near Herzliya. Aman oversees elite spying units such as Unit 8200 (signals intelligence), Unit 504 (human intelligence), and Unit 9900 (geospatial intelligence). The compound also houses Mossad’s operational headquarters—the Israeli regime’s notorious foreign intelligence agency….

Iran also struck the ‘impregnable’ Nevatim Airbase in the Negev desert with over 30 ballistic missiles causing extensive damage that (of course) was not reported. Nevatim houses most of Israel’s F-15s and F-35s although we do not have an estimate of how many of those warplanes were destroyed. Here’s more from Press TV:

Other targeted airbases included Tel Nof and Ben Gurion near Tel Aviv, Ramat David near Haifa, Palmachim on the Mediterranean coast, and Ovda near Eilat.

Iranian missiles, including those used for the first time, targeted the command and control centers of the Israeli military and Mossad in both Tel Aviv and Haifa…..

On June 16, Iranian ballistic missiles hit the Bazan Oil Refinery in Haifa—the regime’s largest fuel processing center, which supplies around 60 percent of its gasoline, 65 percent of diesel, and over 50 percent of its kerosene.

The strikes caused significant damage, forcing the complete shutdown of the refinery and its subsidiaries. The Israeli energy minister later admitted the facility would need major reconstruction, estimating a partial restart no sooner than a month.

A nearby power plant was also damaged, triggering widespread blackouts across central regions of the occupied territories.

On June 23, Iranian missiles struck near a power station in Ashdod, triggering a powerful explosion and localized blackouts. Explosions and outages were also reported near Hadera, where Orot Rabin—Israel’s largest power plant—is located

In addition, Iran directly targeted military-industrial sites involved in recent Israeli aggression. Chief among them was the Rafael Advanced Defense Systems complex north of Haifa—home to multiple factories and R& buildings that produce key elements of Israel’s military hardware.

Rafael manufactures Iron Dome and David’s Sling missile interceptors, both of which have failed repeatedly in stopping Palestinian and Iranian missiles. It also produces cruise and guided missiles used in strikes against Iran, including Spice kits and Popeye, Rocks, Spike, and Matador missiles.

The Kiryat Gat Industrial Zone—a major center for microprocessor and high-tech military production—was also struck. Iranian strikes reportedly damaged key production lines vital to Israel’s drone and surveillance programs.

Further south, the Gav-Yam Negev Advanced Technologies Park near Beersheba, which hosts firms working in cyberwarfare, AI, and military tech, was not spared. Many of these companies collaborate closely with the Israeli military and the Mossad.

Another high-profile target was the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, south of Tel Aviv. Known for its military R& and partnerships with Israeli military agencies, the institute suffered devastating damage to key laboratories. Members and professors of the institute confirmed the loss of years’ worth of research. The Weizmann Institute also plays a role in Israel’s clandestine nuclear program, with many of Dimona’s nuclear scientists having graduated from or taught at the institute. Press TV

Get the picture? In just 10 days (June 13 to June 23) the Iranian military meticulously destroyed a sizable portion of Israel’s most prestigious military, intelligence, industrial, energy, and R& facilities across the country. (Have you read about any of this in the western media?) Had the war continued for another week or two, the Holy Land would have been reduced to a smoldering third world wasteland unfit for human habitation. In short, this was no normal ceasefire. This was a desperate capitulation by an overmatched contender who quickly realized he was punching ‘above his weight’. Here’s how Trump summed it up:

“Israel got hit really hard. Those ballistic missiles, boy, they took out a lot of buildings,” Trump told reporters at the NATO summit in The Hague on Wednesday.

Yes, Israel took a real beating.

We should note that there is no formal agreement between Iran and Israel. (No signed document or explicit commitments) The ceasefire was brokered through back-channel diplomacy, primarily mediated by Qatar. A senior White House official and a diplomat briefed on the talks indicated that Israel agreed to halt strikes if Iran ceased its attacks, and Iran signaled compliance with these terms through Qatari mediation. Trump announced the ceasefire as a “complete and total ceasefire” to be phased in over 24 hours, although there have been numerous violations by both sides since the original deal was made on June 23. (Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi initially stated there was “no agreement” but indicated Iran would stop its response if Israel held up its end of the bargain.)

The problem, of course, is that the ceasefire is not going to hold because Israel and the US see the truce as merely a way to buy-time to regroup and prepare for the next round of hostilities. (The same as Minsk) Consider the comments of Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz who said the following on Saturday:


This doesn’t sound like a man who is looking for a ‘lasting peace’ or even a temporary end to the fighting. It sounds like someone who’s already settled on a strategy for resuming the hostilities and is merely waiting for the green light (from Bibi) to put the plan into motion.

But what might that plan be, after all, Israel was already employing its top-line military weaponry and advanced air-defense systems. What other tools do they have that could be used to produce a different outcome that the one they just experienced after just 12 days of conflict?

This is where is gets scary because Israel has only two options: Either it draws the United States deeper into the conflict (including the deploying of ground forces) or it ‘goes nuclear’. There is no third option. So, whatever Bibi and his generals have ‘up their sleeve’, it’s going to be of a different force and magnitude than what we saw during the last dust-up. Check out this baffling blurb from the Times of Israel‘s Saturday edition:

After the US strike on Iran earlier this week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump agreed on a rapid end to the war in Gaza and expansion of the Abraham Accords, Israel Hayom reports, citing “a source familiar with the conversation.”

According to the outlet, Trump and Netanyahu agreed in a phone call that the war in Gaza would end within two weeks. Four Arab states, including the UAE and Egypt, would jointly govern the Gaza Strip in place of Hamas. The terror group’s leadership would be exiled, and all hostages would be released.

However, Arab allies have repeatedly asserted that they will not take part in the postwar rehabilitation of Gaza absent Israeli acquiescence to the Palestinian Authority gaining a foothold in Gaza as part of a pathway to a future two-state solution, but Netanyahu has flatly rejected any PA role in the Strip….

Trump and Netanyahu were joined on the “euphoric” call late Monday night by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, says Israel Hayom….
Saudi Arabia and Syria would establish diplomatic ties with Israel, and other Arab and Muslim countries would follow suit…. Israel, for its part, would express its support for a future two-state solution, conditioned on reforms made by the Palestinian Authority. Meanwhile, the leaders agreed that Washington will recognize Israeli sovereignty in some parts of the West Bank. Times of Israel

People who follow events closely in the Middle East know that nothing in this article is true. There’s not going to be a rapid end to the war in Gaza, there’s not going to be a rapid expansion of the Abraham Accords, and there’s certainly not going to be Israeli support for a two-state solution.

So, what’s going on here, what is the point of this nonsensical propaganda that no one in their right mind is going to believe??


Let’s answer that question with a hypothetical: Let’s say, some unexpected 9-11-type catastrophe was to take place in the next few weeks that had Iranian fingerprints all over it. And let’s say this false flag was destructive enough that the “usual suspects” on Capitol Hill and the MSM demanded that Trump take immediate action and bomb Iran. If that scenario were to unfold, then wouldn’t it better for Bibi and Trump to be able to point to their recent efforts for resolving the Gaza crisis? Wouldn’t they benefit from the perception (by the public) that they had been actively pursuing peace but were unexpectedly derailed by Iran’s actions?

Indeed, they would.

Of course, this is all just speculation; I don’t know what’s going to happen. But when you have hardliners like Katz, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and countless others in Netanyahu’s looneybin government who believe that Israel must “keep the sword raised” to ensure Iran does not recover its military capabilities (Smotrich), then a prudent person will prepare for the worst.

Keep in mind, a number of Israeli leaders have repeatedly stated that Netanyahu should “finish the job”, which is an intentionally vague term that refers to the use of a nuclear weapon.

In order to determine the probability of such an event, we must ask ourselves whether a government that justifies the killing and forced starvation of millions of women and children in their charge, has the moral scruples to oppose the use of the world’s most lethal weapon?

We should all be very worried that Netanyahu is going to do exactly what we would expect him to do.

Even after 20 months of siege, displacement, and mass killing, Palestinians in Gaza continue to assert their will to remain – as Israel escalates its genocidal campaign by attacking aid distribution sites and massacring starving civilians who refuse to leave.

Meanwhile, Iranian retaliation against Israel’s recent aggression has triggered yet another exodus of Israeli Jews from the settler colony.

Israeli citizens, dual citizens, and tourists have been desperate to flee the country on so-called “escape flotillas” and “rescue flights“, as conditions have become even more unlivable in the last two years than they had been before 7 October 2023.

With “large numbers of Israeli citizens” desperate to escape, the Israeli government has issued a decision effectively barring them from leaving.

Despite the return of those who were stranded abroad during the latest war, the current flight of Israeli Jews continues a broader trend in recent years to leave the country.

Already in December 2022, the Israeli newspaper Maariv reported on a new movement aimed at facilitating the emigration of Israeli Jews to the United States following the last Israeli elections, which participants feared had altered the Zionist state’s relationship to religion.

The group, called “Leaving the Country – Together”, spoke of relocating 10,000 Israeli Jews in the first stage of its plan. Leaders of the group include anti-Netanyahu activist Yaniv Gorelik and Israeli-American businessman Mordechai Kahana.

Kahana stated in an interview: “I saw people in a WhatsApp group talking about immigration of Israelis to Romania or Greece, but I personally think that it will be a lot easier for them to immigrate to the US,” he said.

“I have a huge farm in New Jersey, and I offered Israelis to join in order to turn my farm into a kibbutz… With such a government in Israel, the American government should let every Israeli who owns a company or has a sought-after profession in the US, such as doctors and pilots, immigrate to the US.”

This is hardly a new phenomenon.

For years, a growing number of Israeli Jews have sought to abandon the settler colony, driven by political disillusionment, fears over the loss of Jewish-majority rule, and the long-term unsustainability of the Zionist project.

Earlier departures
As I chronicled in an article for this publication more than two years ago, by the end of 2003, the Israeli government estimated that more than 750,000 Israelis were living permanently outside the country, the majority in the US and Canada.

Of the estimated 600,000 to 750,000 Israelis living in the US, 230,000 were Israeli-born Jews (meaning children of Jewish settlers in Israel).

According to Israeli government figures, between 1948 and 2015, 720,000 Israelis left the country and never returned.

By 2016, an estimated 30 percent of French Jews who emigrated to Israel ended up returning home to France, despite intense efforts by Israel and Zionist groups to attract them and keep them in the country.

In 2011, Israel’s Ministry of Immigrant Absorption launched an advertising campaign designed to guilt-trip Israeli emigrants into returning. As Moment magazine described one of the ads:

A little boy, done with colouring, turns to his father. But Dad is asleep in an easy chair, an Economist draped over his chest. ‘Daddy?’ the boy calls, to no avail. A pause. He tries again, this time in a whisper: ‘Abba?’ Dad’s eyes open at once. The artwork is admired; hair is affectionately ruffled. The scene fades, and a narrator says in Hebrew: ‘They will always remain Israelis. Their children won’t. Help them return to the land.’

The ad sparked immediate backlash for suggesting “that America is no place for a proper Jew, and that a Jew who is concerned about the Jewish future should live in Israel” – a view that former Israeli prison guard and now US-based journalist Jeffrey Goldberg described as “archaic”. The ad was pulled, and the ministry apologised.

Demographic crisis
In 2017, the Israeli government was so concerned about the growing emigration of Israelis to the US that it began offering more benefits and services to those willing to return, and encouraging others to come back.

Indeed, that same year, Israeli Minister of Science and Technology Ofir Akunis attempted to lure expats in Silicon Valley back to Israel by offering scholarships to complete their doctorates. He was unsuccessful.

In fact, Israeli demographers, including Sergio Della Pergola, the country’s top population expert, have been predicting a mass exodus from Israel for years.

This active emigration preceded the wars Israel has engulfed the region in since its genocidal campaign against the Palestinian people began on 8 October 2023. Since then, official Israeli data showed that 82,000 Israeli Jews have fled the country, with unofficial estimates placing the number closer to half a million.

In view of this significant Israeli Jewish exodus, Israeli authorities are right to worry that Jews are abandoning the state.

This is a grave matter, especially as Palestinians have constituted a majority between the River and the Sea since 2010, threatening the long-term survival of the Jewish supremacist state. As I recently argued, that is the primary reason for Israel’s ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people.

Official ban
To stem the tide of Jewish emigration, the Israeli cabinet last week issued a resolution “conditioning flying out of the country” for Israeli citizens “on approval by a government-led exceptions committee”.

The resolution stated that “the government also determined that when commercial flights become possible… a government steering committee will establish criteria for dealing with requests to leave Israel.”

While some of the 40,000 foreign citizens stranded in the country could leave, commercial airlines, acting on instructions from the Israeli government, informed Israeli citizens seeking to buy tickets out of the country that they were prohibited from selling them tickets.

Still, tens of thousands are trying to flee.

According to estimates, there are upwards of 700,000 American and half a million European dual citizens in Israel. State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce told reporters on 20 June – before the US bombed Iran – that more than 25,000 Americans had reached out for information on leaving Israel, the West Bank and Iran.

While Bruce refused to “give a breakdown of where the queries had come from and would not comment on embassy evacuations”, it is clear that the majority came from Israel and the Occupied Territories.

Indeed, an internal State Department memo listed nearly 10,000 requests to leave Israel made in a single day last week. These numbers are likely to have multiplied significantly since then.

Foreign evacuations
At the beginning of this week, Global Affairs Canada stated that 6,000 Canadians had registered in Israel using the department’s database, while some 400 others had registered in the West Bank to flee the country.

Canada responded by arranging flights and providing bus transport for Canadians fleeing Israel to neighbouring Egypt and Jordan, days after France and Australia had offered similar services to their own citizens.

By then, many Americans had already fled the war-mongering country through Egypt, as had many German nationals, who left through Jordan.

Many other Israeli Jews have been abandoning the country by sea, sailing to Cyprus on yachts and boats in what Israel’s leading newspaper Haaretz dubbed “escape flotillas”.

The Israeli government’s exit ban, enforced by Transportation Minister Miri Regev, has been sharply criticised. As Haaretz put it: “Israelis are welcome to return home to danger, but are forbidden to escape it.” According to reports, thousands of Britons – including dual Israeli citizens – have been desperate to get back to the UK.

‘Let my people go’
Meanwhile, in Gaza, as Israel continues to use starvation as a weapon of genocide and ethnic cleansing, a Haaretz report from earlier this month showed that most Palestinians held firm in their desire to return to their homes, defying Israeli assumptions that they would rather leave.

By contrast, the same report observed that three times as many young Israelis now want to leave the country compared to the early days of the war. As one put it: “War is a double-edged bitch. Israelis aren’t suffering like Gazans, but more and more don’t like living here either.”

Yet as the Israeli government continues to bar its citizens from exiting the war-torn country, the Israeli Movement for Quality Government has raised concerns about the opaque criteria used by the cabinet’s “exceptions committee” to grant exit permits.

The group sent a letter to Israel’s attorney general, complaining that the ban on leaving violates Israel’s Basic Law.

Ironically, when the US and Israel launched a propaganda campaign in the 1970s to attract Soviet Jewish immigration to Israel, they demanded special emigration permits for Soviet Jews, denied to other Soviet citizens.

Israel’s sensational call on the USSR was “let my people go,” echoing the biblical appeal to Pharaoh.

Today, it seems that thousands of Israeli Jews are pleading: “Netanyahu, let my people go.”
