Dbegining:Cheap blackmail ? Are you normal? |
papyjaypaul:And what do you expect an ambassador to do in this matter? |
PDPdestroyer:It appears so. |
Dbegining:Was the commissioner who decried their execution in office in 2016? Was Solodu the governor of Anambra in 2016? You read how Solodu mentioned their arrest and conviction in April of this year and you also read the commissioner announcing their execution. You guys are trying in your lame way to dissociate Obi's wasteful visit to Indonesia from this execution. Try harder. |
gidgiddy:All you need to win the presidency is the middle belt. Buhari was being rejected in the NC until 2015. Jonathan lost because he did not win the NC. Your SE is now a bloc vote region that is going to waste on Obi . Your thread should have focused on how Obi is going to do far worse in the coming elections as he isn't going to get the NC votes nor the northern christian vote. The SS has recalibrated and they will vote Tinibu. The SW is going to vote their own That leaves the NW as the major battleground which obi will not even see up to 10k votes In all, your stupid thread ought to have been on Obi getting far less votes than he did in 2023 and not Tinubu's chances in your bigoted SE. |
That's why the coastal highway is a visionary project that will connect coastal communities to larger cities . Just fishing alone will transform the economy of the coastal regions. Then add tourism and you will have a real estate boom. |
Then why drag other tribes in the SS into your Biafra? |
Mabuggi88:You know more than both the governor and his commissioner? Wonders |
DIVINEEVIDENCE:Thank Larry Fink and his BlackRock investment firm and their woke ESG program that has seen to funds meant for oil and gas production dry up. BlackRock owns every firm on the planet be it the oil companies to the banks that will loan oil firms to start production. There's no money going to developing gas and oil production outside of the Gulf region. NLNG which is a private firm owns all the gas in Nigeria and are only interested in maintaining a volume production that will not disrupt international gas prices. Have you not asked why local gas prices are always in tandem with European gas markets with peaks in winter and price drop in summer ? All that US LNG now supplying European markets is actually from Nigeria and not the US.. And for your education , I suggest you go and research how the US is now trying to ditch the petrol dollar system due to Russia having vast oil wells. The US is looking for another global product to replace oil in international trade since maintaining the US petrodollar will only benefit Russia in the long run. |
SmartEnergyng:Heavy duty haulage are the ones keying into it and it has saved them huge amounts in fuel costs which has stabilized freight costs to a larger degree. I don't see most transport companies keying into it and that's why you are not seeing a direct reduction in cost of transport fare. The logistics hindering this is because outside Lagos, there are no intra state public owned transport companies like Lagos BRT. Inter state transport companies are not keying into it probably because the service stations are inadequate and sparsely distributed across the country making it not feasible to them when they require refilling midway through their trips. Other than trucking companies and personal car owners , the project isn't being embraced for several reasons as mentioned above including the cost of conversion. |
Mabuggi88:Why lie? The commissioner made this statement just yesterday announcing their execution. Solodu was the one who mentioned in April of their conviction and sentence to death. The Indonesian authorities carried out the sentence this past week. Why are you lying that it is old news dating back to 2016? |
Proudlyngwa:There's hardly any gas exploration in the SE. Majority of Nigeria's gas output is from Delta , Rivers and Akwa Ibom. |
Proudlyngwa:And none of it is yet to be utilized. |
Obi won't react over this matter. By the way, was this the reason he went to Indonesia in the first place to seek their release ? |
The Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Patrick Agha Mba, has expressed deep regret over the recent execution of some Anambra youths in Indonesia for drug trafficking offences. Reacting to the viral video showing the incident, the Commissioner described the situation as highly pitiable and unfortunate, noting that the loss of such able-bodied young men, who could have contributed meaningfully to society, is a huge tragedy for their families and the state. He emphasized that the incident reinforces the importance of the ongoing campaign by the Governor Chukwuma Soludo-led administration for systematic investment in youth development across communities. Hon. Agha Mba reiterated that rather than mourning alone, efforts should be channeled towards doing the right thing by following the government's message and initiatives already in place to empower the youth. “It's quite pitiable and highly regrettable, the way and manner we lost such able bodied youth, who would have been contributing positively to the development of their families and the society. “However, it goes a long to buttress the campaign by Mr. Governor on the necessity of ‘Ndi Anambra Jiri Biri’ investing seriously and systematically in the development of the youth of their communities. “This kind of incident is not just about crying but trying to do the right thing and the follow the message of Mr. Governor,” he stated. The Commissioner highlighted the 1Youth2Skills Solution programme of the Anambra State Government, which has successfully produced youths who are not only productive within Nigeria but also globally competitive. He noted that the government, through the Ministry of Youth Development, is prepared and has created the right platforms to equip the youth with skills that ensure economic productivity and reduce the lure of illicit ventures abroad. Meanwhile, it will be recalled that Governor Chukwuma Soludo had earlier revealed that 23 Anambra indigenes are currently on death row in Indonesia over drug-related offences. Speaking on April 9, 2025, during an event where members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) defected to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Governor Soludo lamented the deception by some native doctors who falsely assure drug traffickers of invisibility through charms. “Go to Indonesia, 23 Ndi Anambra are on death row there for drug-related offences. These native doctors will deceive you that they will prepare a charm that when you carry drugs and enter the airport, the white man’s scanner will go blind,” the Governor had stated. Howbeit, the State Government has continued to urge the youth to take advantage of available empowerment programmes and avoid illegal and dangerous pursuits abroad. The Obidient mob constituting nuisance here on NL all have nothing good to say about their Agulu fraud messiah when Obi was governor of Anambra. |
viodemus:Which ibo resources ? Provide output figures for oil and gas production coming out of your SE. Stop claiming Niger Delta and it's resources as ibo resources . Thief. |
Obasanjo in one of his books detailed how his VP, Atiku kicked against expanding Nigeria's energy utilization of LNG by claiming it is dangerous to have all Nigeria's energy source in the Niger Delta. Mind you , the north Atiku was advocating to be the site of LNG power plants does not have any form of energy source outside Kainji dam. The problem in Nigeria is deep rooted ethnic chauvinism. The north as represented by Atiku's reservations, do not want to see the Niger Delta region have a monopoly of energy production. This is why the same north under Buhari was constructing gas pipelines from the SS to the north to serve future power plants there. Mind you it would have been more sensible and cheaper to build and expand gas power plant infrastructure in the vicinity of the gas reserves in the Niger Delta and transmit energy via high tension poles to the north. But Aboki say they must own their own power stations that will be built from Niger Delta wealth and powered by same Niger Delta gas and energy. |
Chekitaut:What nonsense is this? |
The Chinese plastic industry is facing severe collapse with many factories forced to shut down. This is a direct consequence of the Trump instigated Trade wars with China . Unlike China, the service based US economy has nothing to lose in this face off instead , in the long run, US manufacturing will slowly but surely return which will boost US economy further. Trump knew this and that's why he began his trade war immediately he returned back to the WH. Now back to the closing down of Chinese plastic factories. In this modern era, plastic is a major component of virtually everything you purchase. From your smartphones to your TV and electronic appliances, to component parts of your vehicle , plastic materials are used because it's far cheaper and easily fabricated. This is why I opened this thread to state of the severe crisis facing plastic factory sector in china. The plastic sector in today's modern industrialized world is akin to what the steel industry was in the early to mid 20th century. A decline in steel production back in the 1920s was an early indicator of an economy in recess. The Soviets used to publish false steel production figures during the decline of that empire but will foolishly publish alongside their fabricated steel production levels a decline in mininig ore volumes. This was how the Americans knew the soviets were lying and that their economy was in serious decline. With China , it is plastic production that sets the pace of it's industrial and economic pace as virtually every home appliance produced today is produced in china and has plastic components as it's key assembly part. With that aside we can say that the decline in Chinese plastic factories is a sure sign that other production is facing severe set backs. Now the CCP knows this isn't a war they can win as it only empowers the US. My take on this is that china will seek other parts of the world to dump their products after losing their significant and number 1 trading partner. This is where Africa and Nigeria come in. China will be aggressively seeking to sign trade deals with African countries to replace the US. The CCP needs to create additional one million jobs every 3 months to keep the country stable and afloat. With US glutinous market now out of the picture, the Chinese will be aggressively searching to open up new trade routes under a free market system. The consequences of these is further erosion of whatever manufacturing base we have. Some will accept it as a good thing that's if you fall into the merchant class like Peter Obi who are only interested in turning a quick profit. But allowing the CCP unlimited access to our markets to dump their Chinese made crap so as to sustain productivity and employment levels in China will spell doom for us here in Nigeria and across Africa. |
Chekitaut:Obasanjo's privatization was flawed in every way. Rather than unbundle the decaying government corporations back into the hands of Nigerian businesses, Obasanjo sold them to western companies that are only interested in serving their share holders. If the privatization under Obasanjo had limited the sales of government owned corporations or licensing of their services (Nitel, NEPA, etc) to local businesses we won't be in this mess. MTN which has replaced Nitel repatriates huge amount of wealth annually back to SA. To do this MTN will source for FX using the revenue in naira they generated. It's not hard to see that Obasanjo's privatization model , although saw to an uptick in FX inflows in the begining , set the one way wealth transfer out of the country. Whenever I hear any govt talking and boasting of FIDs I shake my head. We don't need any useless multinational corporation that owes fiduciary obligations to only. their foreign share holders. The Dangote refinery is another money drain as Dangote owes foreign investors and banks a lot of money for funding his $20bn refinery. That there is another bottomless capital flight sink that will take decades for Dangote to repay the loan and investors. |
There was hardly any demand for imported consumable goods. We even had our own car manufacturing base that supplied all the cars on the roads. Even car tyres were produced locally 100%. The problem is globalization and demand for cheap imported crap. Until we begin to understand that an import based economy only serves to drain our resources leading to capital flight and lack of manufacturing jobs that leads to further unemployment, we will continue servicing other countries economies and their employment base through imports. |
kettykin:We know you fools more than you know your bastard baby factory father. |
Ojiofor:Typical Ibo myopic pig Today north is now your ally You might as well support Fulani ruga bill. The Ibo is the most foolish thing God created . |
