You can vilify Atiku all you want but Atiku , who says he is in the ADC race to clinch the ticket and nothing else, has full prerogative in deciding who he can pick as his running mate.

If you are not happy with this, then mobilize within the ADC party and rally support for your Obi instead of trying to bully Atiku to step down for your Obi or make Obi his running mate.

Now to the crux of the subject of this thread which is why should Atiku pick Obi as his running mate?

Atiku holds the impression that if Obi had not ran in 2023, he Atiku would have won the elections. Obi's race to nowhere is what saw Tinubu ride to victory.

This is one of several betrayals by Obi on Atiku who brought Obi to national limelight after the 2019 elections that saw Atiku picking Obi as his running mate.

In same 2019 elections, Obi is said not to have contributed any of his personal funds for that campaign and that there was massive misappropriation of the Atiku-Obi SE campaign funds which Obi insisted he will manage. Atiku was not satisfied with the turn out from the SE and was informed by SE PDP that Obi refused to mobilize them for effective voter mobilization.
This isn't the first time such is happening and as events will later prove not the last either.

Goodluck had made the most stupid mistake in 2015 to appoint fresh decampee Obi as the head of his re-election campaign coordinator in the SE.

This didn't sit down well with the old PDP members and true to Obi's character he refused to mobilize funds until the dying minute and when he did it was never adequate.This is what led to both voter apathy in the SE and a flood of PDP stalwarts in the region working instead for Buhari and the APC and that is why we saw a massive exodus of PDP big Whigs decamping after the elections to the APC.

Obi will repeat his foolishness even for his own campaign in 2023 and deny the LP funds raised for his campaign to mobolize party agents so much so that LP went into that elections without having party agents in over 90,000 polling units across the north .

When Abure demanded an audit after the elections that is when the obidient mob who embezzled those funds began attacking him and convinced Obi to have Abure removed

Now with all these, why will anyone have any political dealings with Obi?

From Ojukwu to GEJ to Atiku and then Abure who secured Obi a free ticket in LP,their stories are all the same - Obi is not to be trusted !

I won't even bother going into the very negative perception among northern Muslims about what they think Obi represents which is another major factor Atiku is not going to have Obi as his running mate.
