There was nothing stopping Obi from convening an independent Judiciary Enquiry into the killings and ordering his AG to file appropriate warrants on any one found culpable.

The FG does not prosecute felony cases that the State Attorney-General ought to have ordered an investigation into and arraigned anyone culpable before a competent State High Court.

Its also on record that Peter Obi as Governor did everything in his power to protect James Nwafor and even went as far as blocking the IG from transferring James Nwafor out of Akwuzu SARS.
