Now you are getting my points
The situation in Syria and Iraq with ISIS is totally different in Nigeria .

The Shiites are just too small to be targeted over their beliefs.

The group came under attacks for preaching against the Fulani Emirate system.

The group reminds me of Maitasine sect which was brutally clamped down on for being anti establishment .

The Maitassine fellow was openly preaching against corruption among northern political leaders and emirs. So that's why they came are on them.

Now groups like ISWAP, BH and Fulani terrorist groups do not want to end the Fulani Emirate but expand on it beyond the NW where it has been contained since British colonial era. This is why these groups like ISWAP and BH are waging war in the NE which resisted the Fulani jihad during the El Kanemi empire.

In the NW, the Fulani bandits are dealing with the Hausa rebellion and also grabbing lands for displaced Fulanis from West Africa and CAR.

This is why the madness is escalating and it has nothing to do with difference in religious beliefs but to maintain the status quo of a Fulani hegemony in the north and beyond.

Sharia law has been embedded in Nigeria's constitution since 1979.

Prior to independence, and even up to military take over post independence, Sharia has been in place in core northern Nigeria.

The terrorists who are Sunni's, their perception about the Shia is not different from other faith like christians
They terrorists in ISIS hate Shiites with deep passion.

They can even accommodate Christians but Shiites were summarily executed .

Bro, with the rate of insecurity in North, you can't rule out Sunni vs Shia silent war.

Recently, some mosques was attacked in North. Are the attacked mosques Shia or Sunni? Is it possible for a Sunni to attack another Sunni's mosque? It's like Redeem branch attacking another Redeem branch when there are pentecostal churches to pounce on
Shiite population in the north is insignificant.

Trust me, if the Shiites were up to 20% of Muslims in the north, the situation over there will look like Iraq post Saddam and Assad's Syria which were overrun with Jihadist Sunni groups murdering Shiites and Christians.

We won't even be talking of Christian genocide but an intercine internal civil war among Muslim sects.

When Elrufai was the governor of the state, the shia was denied so many public gathering as he didn't want them to spread or convert more people to their side, that was the motives of their protest, they only used Palestinians as disguise.

The clampdown didn't end at the protest. Majority of the terrorists are Sunni's. Fact
Virtually all Islamic terrorist groups out there are Sunnis and we know Qatar , US and Israel fund these groups.

The Bathist pan Arabic secularist movement would have been a better option to the Arab world but the US and Israel have totally destroyed and uprooted any secularist political party in the ME and Arab world.

As per IMN proselytizing to Sunnis to convert to Shiites Islam , this is totally false.

The group came into the radar of western govts over their ideology and not theology.

The IMN was also anti monarchist and believed that the Emirate system should be abolished and have an Islamic theocracy instead.

This is why every Fulani Emir condemned the group because the IMN was a threat to their authority.

Was their protest about Palestinians or having issue with the state government headed by a Sunni?

Look at it from that angle
If I recall, the blocking of the Zaria road was in protest of several of their members being killed owing to a dispute on who will lead a mosque in Zaria.

The IMN does not build mosques as part of their agenda.

The group's leader said once that he did not intend to divide Muslims in Nigeria but to educate them and that having their own mosque will see to more divisions and insisted that the best way to educate and unite northern Muslims is by the group's members, educating Muslims in mosques.

No war anywhere. The Shia leader do pass himself.
They are a super minority in the north.

But this same Elzackzacky was instrumental in having Sharia law embedded in our constitution in 1979 when he staged violent protests in ABU, Zaria under the Muslim Student Society which he co founded .

Funny how they threw him under the bus. Likes of Emir Sanusi and El Midget were part of the MSS and joined the protests which later got violent and spread across several states in the NW.

Have they moved on from it? The Palestinians that their past protests have been about, they are almost still facing same situation, just a bit relief some weeks ago. Why did they stop the protest when what their protest have been about hasn't changed?
Because anytime they go on this their procession they get shot and arrested.

That's not the issue.
Nigeria’s predominantly Sunni. We don’t have a Shia-Sunni problem, largely because religion and Northern traditional rulers system are a consensus. The problem of especially the core north is same as the problem of South-east from home; irresponsible procreation.

People keep having children they lack the capacity to raise and those children become tools in the hands of criminal elements. If you know how many youths of South-east extraction that are in overseas jails, you will realize that Southern Nigeria has bigger problems than the Northern Nigeria.

North can easily fix its problem if the criminal elements are arrested, prosecuted, jailed and rehabilitated but South will have almost a generation of people in overseas jails that you don’t even know if they are alive or dead.
Shiites believe that monarchies are not allowed in Muslim society instead they prefer an Islamic Theocracy.

The British had insisted that Ibn Saud - the patriarch founder of Saudi Arabia whom the country is named after, adopt a monarchial system that will keep the new state in the hands of his descendants.

In the Muslim world, the west has always preferred monarchial dictatorships in place of secular democracy.

The CIA coup in Iran that ousted a democratically elected civilian govt and installed the Sha comes to mind.

The worst thing then happened which was the Islamic revolution that chased the Sha out and had an Islamic theocracy headed by a body of Islamic scholars.

The US, UK and Israel hate democracies when it comes to the ME and Latin America for democracies in these regions always sees to anti western and anti Zionists holding power.

The Saudi and Iran face off stems from the Iranians condemning the Gulf Kingdom monarchies as western stooges.

Shia group used to protest regularly in the north before which some of the Sunni's always frown at, and in almost every protest, the shia always get burnt. Even though nobody can understand the purpose of their protest.

They have stopped protesting, probably forgot about the scores and move on.. hmmmm
The annual procession carried out by Shiites was always known for protesting over the plight of Palestinians.

The group under the Islamic Movement of Nigeria was getting funding from Iran to stage their yearly Al Qud's day protests. Al Qud is the name of Jerusalem given by the Muslim conquerors.

The IMN was more an ideological group focusing on international politics especially that over the ME and Muslim world.

The group was promoting Iran's influence in the predominantly Sunni north which was becoming a concern to northern establishment figures especially the Emirate system that are aligned to both the Gulf Kingdom states headed by Saudi Arabia and Israel and the US/UK.

El Zackzacky was seen as a threat to the Fulani Emirate and its alliance with Saudi Arabia and the West. The group was and still is committed to empowering northern Muslims through education and awareness on global issues.

This is why the sect was brutally clamped down on by FG, Kaduna state govt .

We understand the format... to change the Christian genocide narrative. We are not fooled.
The situation in the NW has always been herders vs farmers with the farmers being mostly Hausa Muslims.

Even in the same NW, states like Zamfara, Sokoto Niger and Katsina are majority Muslims.

Why you guys want to reduce and make this issue sectarian when it is majorly ethnic in nature, only you can say.

Dtruthspeaker:
How come no one is talking about sending jets to pursue and bomb bandits?

But they were very quick to send it to another country's coup

It is now clear that Nigeria has been islamized and have been sold to islam
The Nigerian Air Force has been bombing Bandit camps in the NW for years.

Bandits even had informants who use to brief them whenever the Air Force jets took of from their base in Kaduna. The NAF even has a new FOB in Katsina .

The situation has become more dicey with Bandits now using kidnapped victims as human shields.

Bandit camps are also not concentrated but spread out over a large area in smaller camps making detection an bombing raids difficult.

It is believed that there are anywhere between 50,000 to 250,000 bandits spread across the NW and in small camps.

This is a standing army and not some hit and run terrorist group.

The situation in the NW is very dire and we all should support our military to bring an end to this madness. Weapons flow from the Sahel and Libya are also sustaining the bandits. We also know bandits have now began deploying drones for reconnaissance and when they notice Nigerian troop movements, they quickly mobilise to ambush them or will simply move their base camps.

What we need in the NW is 24/7 drones monitoring the area (which is no small feat) and taking out targets on ground.

PoliticsRe: 2027: Tinubu Should Negotiate With Obi by DomPerignon: 8:42am On Dec 08, 2025
Igbophobia:
Atiku or any other Fulani MUST not be considered for presidency considering how we know that he would continue shielding his murderous kinsmen to continue massacring indigenous peoples of this British contraption. Tinubu may be a disaster, but may actually be a mild buffer to the killings despite his clear incompetence. Nevertheless, we all know that the country is a time bomb and it is just a matter of time before the directionless citizens hand over power to another Fulani who would help cement the completion of the ongoing ethnic cleansing.

Obi should contest but not in a way that would support or propel Atiku or another Fulani. If Tinubu is smart, he should even make a deal with Obi unless he has finalized plans to rig it again. Otherwise, Obi's candidacy may pave way for Atiku since we already know that the Muslim north would want Atiku to grab power.

Is Obi the solution? Yes. Can he win? Yes. Would he win? With a personality like Tinubu and his rigging machinery that is doubtful. In any case, I think the native population may survive complete annihilation or rather extend the doomsday for a few more years if a non Fulani is in power a bit longer. At the long run, what this country is facing is the Taliban-style jihadi takeover. It's so obvious except that we Africans lack critical thinking. The only strategic solution to the calamity is splitting this country into at least four parts. Otherwise, the hoards are coming.

But you know … Africans are traditionally incapable of strategic thinking.
By 2027 when Tinubu is sworn in for his second and final tenure, that will mark the end of Obi's political career.

Nnmadi kanu has started a degree in law with the Open University and has also enrolled into the Nigerian Correctional Service's '' Model Prisoner '' initiative.

Sources within the Sokoto Correctional Service say Kanu is adjusting well with life behind bars and has been of best behaviour especially towards staff of the facility.

Kanu has volunteered as a teacher in the facility's Adult education system and is currently handling English and Economics .

Wardens in the facility also noted Kanu mobilizing funds from outside to construct a library, a mosque and a solar powered borehole.

Staff of the facility are however wary of kanu's growing influence among co inmates although the current Prison Trustee, another inmate by name of Emeka has voiced out that kanu was undermining his trustee position.

In this light, the inmates of sokoto prison have demanded for a fresh election as Emeka was known as a prik since he was installed and the inmates now want kanu to replace Emeka .

That aside, Kanu has been very busy. If he isn't in the classroom teaching, he is studying hard in his cell for his ongoing law degree.

Kanu has stated severally that he is studying law so he can engage Justice Omotosho once again and tell him to his face that '' You don't know law ''.

In other related news, the Sokoto Prison chapel Priest has resigned as a priest and has absconded with a young bride whom he officiated her marriage.

Kanu needs to understand that he is now FG property.

He is no longer entitled to same rights of free men.

This is the first time a a democratic civilian adminstration is taken up state creation since the creation of Midwest region.

Anioma state will be created eventually .

To even think you have a majority stake and final say in determining the outcome of Anioma state project is the height of arrogance.

Firstly , it is the Delta State Assembly that will vote first on this matter which I know state assembly members from Delta south and central will fully support.

Delta central and south Senators have since backed Anioma creation and I am 100% certain all other Senators in the SS, SW, NC, NW and NE won't oppose Anioma state. If your Ibo senators like they can stage a walkout.

After this is concluded in the senate, INEC will then be empowered to carry out a referendum across Delta North .

Note : A referendum will be carried out across Delta North to determine if the people are in support of Anioma state creation.

The referendum won't be done any where in your SE.

You have no say in this matter an that's why I was shocked to see how you ibos carried Anioma matter for head.

And yes, Anioma people say they will still want to be part of SS and want nothing to do with the SE.
