ShoeMarket:Is there not a major gas plant being built in Enugu ? Are your states not getting more allocation naira wise? |
HardBishop:Nigerian and Britain have a repatriation agreement . He would be bundled back if he is stupid enough to try and sneak into Britain. Secondly, UK govt just passed a law that revokes acquired citizenship for any of her citizens that joins or is part or a terrorist organization . |
HardBishop:Good luck on that. You will need to sacrifice land that you don't have to retain all that water so as to dry up the creeks in the Niger Delta and that's if Nigeria govt doesn't bomb it to smithereens. Do you know that Nigeria convinced nations up stream of the Niger river which are all landlocked not to dam the river in exchange for us building a dam in Kainji, Niger state which supplies electricity at highly subsidised rate to these countries. Now go and find out the area coverage of lake kainji in Niger and see how it is 40% the total land mass of Anambra. Lake Kainji is about 1,300 sqKm while the entire Anambra is 4,300/sqkm. And here you are saying you will damn the river in Anambra which has more water flow due to Benue . Note that any dam built on this proposal will require not only diverting the river into Biafra but twice the area coverage for the reservoir. So you will lose 3,000 sq km. Now what happens when you need to discharge the dam reserviour due to high volume? You end up flooding most of your remaining land. Lolz |
ShoeMarket:Are there no federal medical centres, federal universities, 2 federal operated airports, federal road that acts as the main artery connecting all SE states, 2 federal water way bridges in onitsha. Federal inland port in Onitsha which remains a waste . I can go on. |
HardBishop:Jail break? Good luck on that. When you break him out of jail how do you get him out of Sokoto, northern Nigeria or Nigeria as a whole? Won't he then add international Most Wanted Fugitive to his now International Terrorist tag? Think for once. As per southern unity, you guys have been excluded. SS and SW are forging that alliance and have excluded you guys totally. |
HardBishop:And how are you going to sustain an import based economy when you hardly have any source of FX? And who is going to leave Nigeria to go to Biafra to purchase imported Chinese products ? On dredging the River Niger or any other waters, you will need Nigeria's permission and also Nigeria that controls the coast line can deny you direct access to the sea. |
Faber:I am sure men go mount well well inside the prison yard. Lolz |
ShoeMarket:SE is landlocked . You get more allocation compared to what you contribute to the federal purse than any other region. There's FG presence across the SE. What will you say of Akwa Ibom that outside Police stations, military barracks and prison , no other Federal presence. As per civil war, you started it and lost woefully . |
ARISHEM:Whose going to break him out? That is bandit territory over there. If any one is going to do a jail break it will be Fulani bandits and they will either kill him or hold him ransom and all of you must contribute to have him released. |
obama30:Kanu arrested and Nigeria will burn. Kanu sentenced and Nigeria will burn. More lines in the sand are being drawn. |
Sokoto Prison is close to the Sultan's Palace . |
slivertongue:Well, at least be grateful to Tinubu for curbing IPOB terrorism since Ekpa was sentenced in Finland and Gentle arrested/killed and his penal brigade dismantled. Can you say SE isn't much at peace now than before Tinubu got to office? And as per what is going on in the north , it is the FX manipulators , fuel subsidy scammers , and displaced CPC faction who are facing criminal investigation. North , like you in the SE, have a funny way of mounting pressure on the polity by setting fire on their own house. How stupid. |
MadPolitician:Empty noise as usual. But at the most, you will all begin to kill yourselves again in the guise of '' Free Kanu ''. |
writetopoka:Did you not watch Justice Omotosho address this issue when he read out the appropriate amendment which stated categorically that the current bill will have no effect on any ongoing prosecution and conviction . The old penal code was amended by expanding it and same amended act said all ongoing cases or convictions under this act remain in force. |
Terrorist attacks on American soil specifically during the month of July when the US is expected to host the next WC finals (I did a thread on this ). Bitcoin crash imminent. American's will lose more of their freedom . Zelensky is ousted . Space warfare using satellites and laser technology . Another pandemic. Inflation peaks. Neural link will be marketed as a gaming interface and some idiots will buy into it. Piracy in the high sea backed by state actors. Overturned wine glass, signalling the end of the party as per US stock market. Trump will abandon his stance on wanting to import Indian workers .
|
Emotionss:One of the greatest of many flaws of the average IBO man is how lineal his mindset is and how tone deaf he can be in not able to read the room. IPOB lobbying in the US has caused more damage to ibos in Nigeria . If you think Trump or any other powerful leader or state will gamble with supporting IPOB seize the SS oil and gas in the name of Biafra when they can simply strike a deal with Nigeria , then you are deluded. |
HardBishop:Wait till a northerner becomes President in 2031 and see if that one will even consider pardoning Kanu. Your only hope is in Tinubu but everyday , as we can see with ipob lobby in the US against his adminstration, you make it harder for him to see reason why he should ever consider pardoning or reducing kanu's sentence. |
ShoeMarket:Pls outline the injustice ? You can't expect the FG to fold their hands when a terror group springs up targeting security officers and innocent civilians. Maybe you are not aware that your respective state governors appealed for intervention from the FG to come and dislodge IPOB who were constituting themselves as a parallel authority. Even your Obi was accused by same kanu of orchestrating the massacre of over 200 MASSOB members . |
anonimi:That's where your legislators come in. Even if they can't secure an amendment to see to a referendum clause, they can get a bill passed specifically for the secession of SE out of Nigeria. Senators in the Senate of the affected states will be told to go back to their constituents and secure at least 2/3rd majority from their respective House of Assembly on a referendum . Once that is done , the entire Senate will vote an pass a bill specifically to conduct a referendum in states and senatorial zones that have stated they want to exit Nigeria. The bill will be sent to the President to sign and then modalities for holding the referendum will be decided in the same NASS and this will involve having an external body like the UN, AU , ECOWAS conduct the referendum and once concluded a special transition body setup to finalise Biafra exit within a time frame. Like every divorce , there will be alimonies. The FG will be expected to set you off with some money and may waiver debts incurred under FG guarantee or for projects like the Second Niger bridge. A time frame of 5ys will then be set at which point every citizen of Biafra will cease to be a citizen of Nigeria and will be expected to return back to Biafra. |
HardBishop:And how will that see to kanu's release? |
Midway through his now concluded trial that saw him getting a life sentence, Kanu's legal team had informed Justice Omotosho that they are seeking a plea deal with the AGF. The Prosecution stated that it had no objection to that and that the defendant was free to explore any legal means in his ongoing case. I am sure a plea bargain was discussed and maybe some sort of arrangement would have been met with the FG striking off the most serious charges and focusing on lesser charges. I am sure when this was presented to kanu by his legal team, he would have rejected it and insisted the trial continue to the very end. If you also recall, his lead lawyer , Agabi had resigned from handling the case and had duly informed the judge . Note that Agabi on first appearing in court for kanu , apologised on behalf of his client for his unruly behaviour. Agabi handled the case professionally and showed respect to court proceedings. The very next slated date of proceedings , Kanu sacked his remaining lawyers and said he will be representing himself. Its at this time Alloy was doing his 10 man protest with Sowore. After that everything went to hell. I am sure that Alloy advised kanu to sack his legal team so as to be able to derail proceedings with his amateur lawyering . No lawyer will get away with how Kanu was addressing the issue of jurisdiction and an amended penal code. Now, back to the topic which is; did the AGF propose a plea bargain deal that would have seen kanu admit guilt to lesser charges ? And if so, did kanu reject it? I am of the opinion that if there was a plea bargain in the first place , kanu would have been sentenced to maximum of 20yrs and the judge would have considered time served in DSS detention which would have seen kanu doing 15ys in Kuje Prison. The President will then be able to step in and grant him full pardon or reduction in sentence by 2031 . But kanu's arrogance and misbehaviour in court plus his pride pushed him to where he is now which will be very difficult for the President to grant him a pardon or reduction of sentence as he showed no remorse, repentance or respect to the court, justice and the prosecutor. |
ottersberger:Tinubu will not release Kanu before the elections . He may decide to reduce kanu's sentence on his way out in 2031 and that is wholly dependant on the security situation in the SE. If it cools down, kanu might get a jail sentence reduction and NOT a release. If things heat up, more of kanu's IPOB members will be joining him. |
Jhoneyman:And to even recall that their leaders were claiming that kanu's release will end the violence which on its own is an admittance that the terrorists in IPOB were killing and destroying their SE to get the FG to free kanu. |
DeepSight:They are crying for a plebiscite to leave Nigeria. Ask them how the majority Ibo regional house in Enugu did everything to block the minority people in the eastern region from seeking a motion to leave the eastern region. What was even the reason Ojukwu declared Biafra ? Was it not after Gowon finally granted minority people their own States out of the Eastern region? I hold the opinion that even the coup of Jan 15 was staged to prevent the federal parliament from reconvening after the Christmas break to address the demands of the minorities to have their own COR region. Karma is truly a bitch |
vinceendowed:Take Calabar and Akwa ibom? Instead of the word '' take '' you should have used seize or annex because I am yet to see when Akwa Ibom and Cross River people said they want to join your Biafra |
VaselineCrew:Mohammed Yusuf also never killed anybody that we know of and he never participated directly in any riot that he instigated his brainwashed followers to go on. But you will agree that his extra judicial murder by the state was justified . From kanu's violent rhetoric and direct command to his foot soldiers , the entire SE became engulfed with killings and terrorist attacks carried out by his followers and foot soldiers. Do you know that Kanu gave direct orders to his minions to kill any northerner Hausa Fulani in the SE? Do you know that Kanu's cold hearted order was followed through and several innocent northerners were murdered? Are you aware that this particular directive from KANU ordering his terrorist militia to go after northerners which they did was only to ellicit a response from the north in the way of counter riots which would have seen Ibos being the primary target. This would have seen to a mass exodus of ibos from the north back to the SE. It is this scenario that KANU thought will accelerate Biafra independence just as the pogroms in 1967 played an influential part in getting Ibos to support Ojukwu's secession from Nigeria. Kanu was willing to instigate the north to evict and kill ibos. Is that not a lunatic which you all support blindly. |
Abdul05:That's because they are the worst and most tribalistic people who see everything with a thick tribal lens. |
ShoeMarket:Same Trump used that exact excuse to put US troops in Syria . Trump said he was going after ISIS over killings of Christians. At the end, US provided logistical and air support to the terrorists to overthrow the Syrian govt and he invited the Head chopper n Chief to the WH. |
The OP has spoken very well. What I will highlight also is the war in Yugoslavia and how that multicultural country went up in flames after the end of the Soviet Union. In that war, alliances between the Serbs, Croats, Slavs and Bosnian Muslim population kept changing and morphing. Depending on which territory is for grabs, the Serbs and Croats will team up to attack the Bosnian Muslims. Next week and in another contested theatre, it will be Serbs and Croats fighting each other. Now imagine a full blown civil war in Nigeria today and you will see tribes in the middle belt fighting each other over disputed territory and aligning also to fight Jihadist elements. It won't be funny at all. It will not be down to religion or politics or land and resources but long held ethnic divisions and skirmishes. The Americans chose to use religious persecution as an excuse to enter the war in the Balkans by claiming defenders of Muslim Bosnian population. |
owobokiri:So everybody must follow carry wetin dey worry you |
