whats your key business for the site. Or what do u want it to be known for? To try to tomple facebook in nigeria by doing another facebook and certainly to even attempt to use "face". If u wanna compete with facebook u must come from another angle and use another key business and then we can get u a name. I am also doing a social site to tomple facebook and it will be out soon.

A faction of Nigeria’s main militant group in the Niger Delta on Tuesday complained of poor reward after its surrender, warning the President Goodluck Jonathan-led Federal Government that it might return to the creeks to fight if the situation continued.

The militants believe the Federal Government’s amnesty programme has failed following the death of President Umaru Yar’Adua who initiated it.

“We are now poor people on the streets. If government does not look into our grievances, we are ready to go back to the creeks to fight,” a spokesman of the faction of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), Mark Anthony, told AFP.

Some 20,000 former armed rebels who were fighting for a fairer share of oil revenues to go to local communities, laid down their arms under an amnesty deal in the restive oil-rich region between August and October last year.

Under the deal, the government promised to provide amenities in the region, jobs and re-train the ex-militants.

“The said amnesty has failed as the initiator of the amnesty died,” said a statement issued by ex-militant “general” John Togo, leader of the group, and emailed to AFP.

He was referring to former president Umaru Yar’Adua, who died on May 5 after a protracted heart ailment.

Togo said he was speaking for himself, and nine other ex-militant “generals.” Togo complained that since he and other “generals” embraced amnesty they were being paid 65,000 naira (430 dollars, 348 euros) monthly, the same as their soldiers, describing the situation as “an insult and direct slap on the faces of ex-generals”.

“How can a general in Nigerian army barracks be made to receive the same salary with infantry?” he asked in the statement.He alleged that government had withdrawn the “empowerment contracts” it gave to the ex-militants last year while only a few ex-militant “generals” enjoy government and oil companies’ patronage.

If this situation is not redressed “I want to say that is going to be the dawn of fresh oil war in Niger Delta,” he warned.

There is yet no official reaction to the group’s allegations.

Violence in the region from 2006 to last year played havoc with oil production which dropped to around a million barrels per day as against 2.6 million barrels at peak production level.

A US hacker who gained notoriety for unlocking Apple's iPhone as a teenager has told BBC News that he has now hacked Sony's PlayStation 3 (PS3).

George Hotz said the hack, which could allow people to run pirated games or homemade software, took him five weeks.

He said he was still refining the technique but intended to post full details online soon.

The PS3 is the only games console that has not been hacked, despite being on the market for three years.

"It's supposed to be unhackable - but nothing is unhackable," Mr Hotz told BBC News.

"I can now do whatever I want with the system. It's like I've got an awesome new power - I'm just not sure how to wield it."

Sony said it was "investigating the report" and would "clarify the situation" when it had more information.

'Open curiosity'

Mr Hotz said that he had begun the hack last summer when he had spent three weeks analysing the hardware.

After a long break, he spent a further two weeks cracking the console, which he described as a "very secure system".

He said that he was not yet ready to reveal the full details of the hack but said that it was "5% hardware and 95% software"
"You can use hardware to inject an insecurity and then you can build on that," he said.

He admitted that he had not managed to hack the whole system, including the protected memory, but had worked out ways to trick the console into doing what he wanted.

Mr Hotz said that he was continuing to work on the hack and, once finished, would publish details online in a similar way to his previous iPhone exploits.

In particular, he said, he would publish details of the console's "root key", a master code that once known would make it easier for others to decipher and hack other security features on the console.

He said his motivation was "curiosity" and "opening up the platform".

"To tell you the truth, I've never really played a PS3," he said. "I have one game, but I've never really played it."

Opening the system could allow people to install other operating systems on their console and play homemade games, he said.

In addition, he said, the hack would allow people to play older PS2 games on their consoles.

Recent versions of the PS3 do not have the ability to play PS2 games after Sony controversially removed a piece of hardware.

He admitted that it could also allow people to run pirated games.

"I'm not going to personally have anything to do with that," he told BBC News.

Gaming firms do not take the issue of game piracy and console modification lightly. Recently, Microsoft disconnected thousands of gamers from its online gaming service Xbox Live for modifying their consoles to play pirated games.

Mr Hotz said that the nature of his PS3 hack means that Sony may have difficulty patching the exploit.

"We are investigating the report and will clarify the situation once we have more information," said a Sony spokesman.

Mr Hotz rose to fame in 2007 at the age of 17 when he unlocked the iPhone, which could only be used on the AT&T network in the US at launch.

The hack allowed the popular handset to be used on any network.

He has since released various other hacks, allowing people to unlock later versions of the popular handset.

If you watch carefully, some of you might have got a missed call (flashing) from any of these numbers: +1881835211178, +239280593, +881935211087. I just want to give you my personal experience to at least prevent you passing through the same thing. Yesterday, i got several missed calls from the above numbers. Thinking that the person might be in distress and needs my help, i decided to call back. Prior to the call, i had up #700 credit worth in my phone; so when i called to my utter dismay within 10 seconds the credit exhausted. So, my Nigerian friends be careful so that you dont fail a victim of this but if you are one already just take heart.

Frenchman Jean-Paul Touze, who weighs 170 kilograms (374 pounds) sued Air France for alleged discrimination after it refused to let him board a Beijing flight unless he bought two seats.

Overweight flyers, who are unable to squeeze into a single plane seat, will be asked to pay for two seats, or not be allowed on board for ‘safety reasons’, the airline announced today.

Air France spokesman Nicolas Petteau said: “It’s a question of security.”

The airline denied reports in the French press that it would oblige obese passengers to buy a second seat.

It says it will reimburse the passengers if the plane is not full.

The company said it already offers obese passengers the option of buying an adjoining seat at a discount.

Obese passengers who don’t reserve a second seat may not be allowed to board, at the captain’s discretion and if there is not an unoccupied adjoining seat.

Three years ago Air France was sued by a 160-kilo (353 pounds) passenger who the airline obliged to buy a second seat for a full New Delhi-Paris flight.

Air France was ordered to pay €8,000 ($11,423) in damages and to reimburse the cost of the second seat.

Other airlines with similar policies on obese passengers include Southwest, JetBlue and American Airlines.
