RomanceRe: She Wants To Hear From God First by Donbrig: 7:05pm On Jul 26, 2011
@WomanRapa, it is like you are just driving a car without a spare tire. I have experienced same situation b4. No doubt you love your girl and she loves you also, but the problem is that, you are not her first choice for a husband. She has another guy she is still secretly trying to be sure of his serious to have her as a wife, so when that one fails, she will now turn to you as her second choice. Guy, don't be too gullible in this matter, just try and secretly get used to another girl in case God tells her NO. I bet you cannot survive the trauma if you wait too long and she tells you NO and don't have another girl to turn to.
PoliticsRe: What The Government Should Do About The Nigerian Police Force (npf) by Donbrig: 6:54pm On Jul 25, 2011
Nice thread, @silverstud, those were very good suggetions. But, no matter how much FG tries to revamp the Nigerian police without giving states the power to own and control their own police, they will never make any success. So many security experts at home and abroad have always advised our FG to give each states the right to control their own police force, but to no avail. Some states like lagos,edo,delta,kano,plateau,e.t.c have been fighting with FG to give them the right to control their own force. Let states control their force and watch naija become one of the most secured nation in the world. In developed nations, even local goverments have their own force. Simple solution, but our FG are still finding it very difficult to implement. What are they still waitng for??
PoliticsRe: Nigeria In The 60s/70s. Sights And Sounds by Donbrig: 7:42pm On Jul 21, 2011
I'm just viewing all these wonderful pictures with a heavy heart, considering the present state of horror. Let us all go back to the drawing board and reshape our great country again, all hope can never be lost
BusinessRe: What Can I Import From USA? by Donbrig: 12:46pm On Jul 17, 2011
Pls think of what you can produce in Nigeria. Nigeria is dying of foreign goods, soon we will all start to complain that our economy is bad. The damages imported goods are causing to our economy is as severe as the damages our corrupt politicians are causing to the economy. Go on research and find a good business that won't harm your own country. Just an advice.
PoliticsRe: Night Life To Stop In Abuja (Security Scare) by Donbrig: 8:38pm On Jun 29, 2011
You guys should listen to news attentively before broadcasting it to others without any mis-information. It is a (temporary) curfew that was lifted in Abuja, and not a permanent thing, it is only going to give those in charge of security more insight on how to secure Abuja against further attacks, same measure could easily be taken in any part of the world. Make una dey understand news b4 una begin halla, We should be very very careful on how we condemn every decision taken by top officials.
TravelRe: You! Naija Man Overseas: Yes, You, Why Go To Naija And Pretend To Be Rich? by Donbrig: 7:38pm On Jun 18, 2011
I dont know why some people cant just respond maturedly to a simple topic, always using derogatory words. Well, I think the problem has to do with our weird mentality, the mentality has eaten deep inside us. Although many Nigerians abroad have learnt that going home pretending to be what they are not is not the right way to impress people. If we can be our real self whenever we travel to naija, perhaps, our friends and family members might begin to understand that life abroad is not that easy as they have wrongly believed for ages.
PoliticsRe: Full Text Of CBN Circular Limiting Cash Withdrawals & Deposits by Donbrig: 6:31pm On May 02, 2011
I can understand why many Nigerians are not welcoming this policy. But this is a very good policy to curb the carrying of huge cash and reduce crimes. I have worked in one of the European financial institutions and I can assure every Nigerian that this is a very good step by CBN to move our banking sector forward. Nigerians are often resistant to change, but once they accept change, they become the best and unbeatable, even westerners dread our style when it comes to accepting a new change. Enforcing this new policy will certainly have its hurdles, but we must embrace this policy so that Nigerians wont be left behind in this Technological age.
PoliticsRe: A Revolution In The Making Buhari Bakare (Tears Of Joy) by Donbrig: 12:57pm On Mar 26, 2011
If Buhari wins, every Nigerian will smile again. Buhari is indeed an honest man with a prudent heart, many of our corrupt leaders are so scared of his victory. Lets give him a chance to transform our great nation, he has done it before, and he will do it again. Have you ever asked why is it that Nigerians succeed everywhere except in their own country? Buhari will help every Nigerian answer this question and put an end to CORRUPTION.
