PropertiesRe: Building A 5 Bedroom Duplex In Ebonyi State by Donbrig: 8:56am On Dec 29, 2013
spyder880: It all depends on what your structural engineer specified for this location, always contained in the building plans.

My own advice is this, since you are doing 8 flats, and it might get to 3 floors? Then you must use 9" blocks for bigger concrete columns which will bear the loads of the upper floors.
I thank you very much, I am gonna mould 9 inches blocks. Yes, it will be up to 3 floors. Happy New Year in advance and God bless.

@spyder880, we all thank you for all the good work. I am about to embark on a building project of 8flats (2 bedroom each) in G.R.A Benin City. My contractor is advicing me to mold 9inches blocks. Pls, what are the differences or impacts between 5, 6, and 9 inches blocks when building?
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Man Publicly Beaten In India - Video by Donbrig: 5:40pm On Nov 07, 2013
In spite of the absurdity in this video, Nigerians must learn a lesson from it. Other countries will never be fair to us when we Nigerians are unfair to ourselves and treat each other like slaves. Nigerians must learn to love each other and say good things about Nigeria, in spite of the challenges we are going through as a nation. We must not always blame the goverment for everything that goes wrong.
PoliticsRe: UN May Sanction Nigeria For Al-bashir's Visit by Donbrig: 6:37pm On Jul 17, 2013
United Nonsense. They think Africans are still fools.. Apart from Adolf Hitler, George W Bush had murdered more innocents souls than any other leader on earth, why wasn't he tried by International Criminal Court. God punish Satan. It is time for Africans to protect their own and interest.
PoliticsRe: Pictures Of The Newly Constructed Benin-ore-shagamu Road by Donbrig: 9:31am On Jul 05, 2013
Nice Job, the only way to campaign for 2015 and silent opposition is to continue to work. Although opposition parties will still have frivolous reasons to criticise, but Nigerians will no longer take them serious. GEJ is working and Nigerians are grateful.

CrimeRe: 4 Convicts Hanged In Edo by Donbrig: 1:00pm On Jun 25, 2013
Amnesty international and all those against death penalty are enemies of progress to Nigeria. How about some American states with death penalty? This is not the time for Nigerian govt to listen to everything foreign elements have to say, they are hypocrites. We must do things the way we know it is best for the security of our country. Kill old thieves and the new ones will not steal. I rest my case for now.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria's Economy Is In Danger - Okonjo-Iweala by Donbrig: 7:07pm On Jun 14, 2013
This thread is totally baseless. We should stop believing and reacting negatively to everything we read on social networks or pages of newspapers. Every country on the plannet has its on economical challenges at the moment, and ours is not an exception. Iweala has never said our economy is 100 percent sound, she is still at work for crying out loud. We should at least give her some credits, it is not easy to handle economic issues in a compacted and complicated country like Nigeria. Our economy is shaping up on a very long term basis, though growing at a slow pace, but we are on the right track. Foreign investors trooping into the country to invest knows better. Lets pray for our dear Iweala for God to grant her and her team wisdom and understanding on how to channel our economy for maximum growth.
PoliticsRe: A Thread For The Troops. by Donbrig: 8:59pm On May 17, 2013
God will protect our troops. This is the time for every Nigerian to be flying our national flag everywhere they go. I just finished sharing over 50 pieces of Nigerian flags to friends and family members in support of our UNITY as ONE NIGEIRIA.

GEJ has just won the heart of millions of Nigerians. I like his boldness, that is what we've been missing from a real Bayelsan. Never take a quiet man for a fool. If 2015 election were to be held next week, it would have been a landslide victory for GEJ. Proud of my president once again.

PoliticsRe: Your Preferred Candidates For PDP And APC In 2015 Presidential Election by Donbrig: 5:46pm On Mar 27, 2013
No doubt GEJ and Sambo are going to emerge as PDP candidates, because they have already strategised everything to their advantage. If APC really means business and wants to take over from PDP in 2015, their best candidates against PDP would be Sanusi Lamido Sanusi (CBN)/ Fahsola or Oshiomhole. These are the constructive radicals APC needs for their radical change in Nigeria. I'm ready to spend my time and money for this dream team anytime. But, if Tinubu and Buhari displays their national greed and decide to contest, GEJ will remain in power till 2019.
Christianity EtcIs It A Sin To Be Foolish? by Donbrig(op): 9:56pm On Mar 09, 2013
Foolishness is when you lack good sense or judgement. I personally dont believe it is a sin to be foolish, but you could commit a lot of sins against God out of foolishness.
PoliticsRe: Suggestions For Credible Alternatives To Jonathan In 2015 Elections by Donbrig: 5:50pm On Jan 10, 2013
I strongly believe that if Nigerians are ready to move forward and turn the country around for good, Lamido(CBN)Sanusi and Fashola must me elected. This two folks can work together very well.. they know what our real problems are. They are radically consructive with a unique vision. Our govt is too big and too much resourses are being wasted on meaningless projects, Corruption is now a way of life under GEJ.

SANUSI/FASHOLA FOR A BETTER AND PROSPEROUS NIGERIA.

Na wa for Igbo people Ooooo, they are just too greedy and desperate for money. I used to have some Igbo friends in U.S and in Europe, but I disengaged myself with them all due to their deadly mind-set towards money making and vowed never to have an Igbo man as a close friend again in my life. They are a big disgrace and burden to Nigerians at home and abroad.
BusinessRe: 5 Proven Tips To Become A Multi-millionaire In Nigeria by Donbrig: 3:57pm On Sep 23, 2012
I have really learnt a lot from my fellow nairalanders. @OP, I applaud you for sharing your ideas with us. I would also like to add that FINANCIAL DISCIPLINE is one key factor in becoming rich. Over 60% of Nigerian youths today lack financial discipline, especially the females. If you've been opportuned to associate or talk with wealthy people in any part of the world, you will find out that their greatest asset is financial discipline, because, without discipline you cant even save money, build a healthy investment portfolio or compound your money. I'm not an Igbo man, but I would say that the Igbos are one of the most successful tribe in Africa due to their discipline with finance. I am happy that Nigerian youths are stepping up their games, because our govt cannot do everything for us everytime.
Music/RadioRe: Timaya - Bum Bum [video] + Download by Donbrig: 6:01pm On Sep 10, 2012
Most Nigerian Music Stars have lost it all. I dont know why they cant just stop singing nonsense and sing music that would have positive impacts on Nigerians. We are so much out of track in everything.. Would Timaya advice his children to watch this kind of video in future. Nigeria is in a deep mess... It is like Nigerians prefer listening to rubbish music than meaningful music like we had in the good old days.
RomanceRe: How Many Boyfriends Can A Nigerian Girl Have? - Video by Donbrig: 6:55am On Aug 29, 2012
One reason I might never marry a Nigerian woman, because many naija babes had lost their moral conduct. 95 percent are beyond repair. We should not blame this on poverty but greed and ignorance. I detest most naija babes. Are we still arguing that naija women are the most unfaithful women in the world?
RomanceRe: Are Women Still Moved By Words???? by Donbrig: 5:37pm On Aug 22, 2012
Women are still very moved by lovely words, guys just have to tell them the right words at the right time. No matter how harsh, hard or materialistic a woman might be, the right words will always melt her soul and write your name on the tablet of her HEART.

Bombs are detonating everyday and these renowed idiots are busy strategising for 2015. Many of them wont even live to see 2013 much more 2015. Those pulling Nigeria down will never live to see 2015 in Jesus Name.

PoliticsRe: Bayelsa New Flag: Jonathan Must Speak - Lawyers by Donbrig: 4:12pm On Aug 10, 2012
This is the beginning of true federalism and a new Nigeria. Nigerians should not be afraid of disintegration, because Nigeria can never disintegrate. Soonest, every state will begin to decide their own future and destiny. The north should get ready on how to carry their own cross. Before 2015 Nigerians will see a new kind of Nigeria, I told you guys before that GEJ has a game plan and big surprise for all Nigerians, especially the north.
PoliticsRe: Arewa To Gej:renounce 2015 And Enjoy Peace by Donbrig: 6:37pm On Aug 09, 2012
Northerners are just too brainless. They should wait and see, GEJ is gonna give them the surprise of their life before 2015 and they will know that when a man is quiet and calm does not mean he is a stupid.
PoliticsRe: SSS Detain El-rufai At MMIA In Lagos by Donbrig: 4:55pm On Aug 08, 2012
El-rufail should be seriously dealt with by the SSS. The insult GEJ is getting from this mean politicians is unbecoming. Nigeria is a very difficult country to be a leader, though I dont support GEJ's style of leadership, but I think we all should stop castigating him and the image of the country. We should pray and encourage him on the things he is trying to improve. He is the father of our nation, he might not be perfect but I believe he has a good plan for Nigeria.

Oshiomhole for life! So proud am from Edo State. I really hope and pray we can all unite with this same spirit in 2015 against PDP, Nigerians cant wait to vote all these PDP idiots out of power. We have suffered enough under their leadership. God Bless Nigerian.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Security Tips You Might Find Useful. . . by Donbrig: 4:57pm On Jun 21, 2012
Avoid public spraying of money in every occassion or ceremony, this could over expose you to criminals. You could envelope or package your gift and give it to the celebrants. He who shows his wealth to a thief is responsible for his own pillage.
FamilyRe: Many Married Men Are Unhappy... by Donbrig: 4:50pm On Jun 08, 2012
Marriage is a lovely thing to experience, but many people go into it expecting a lot and forgetting that marriage is not a bed of roses. A lot of sacrifices and compromise must be made. If you're married for a long time and very sad with your marriage life, pls try to always go on vacations with your family at least once a year in a very different enviroment, alone with your wife/husband or kids if you have any, it helps a lot. Most men often find marriage boring after many years because they dont spice up their marriage life or take their wife out to experience a new enviroment and feel refreshed like new couples. This method is a big booster in marriage life, try it and your marriage will always have a new meaning every year. My 10th wedding anniversary is just few months away and I still feel I just married yesterday, marriage is indeed beautiful, no wonder God ordained it from the beginning of creation.
