I've been eagerly awaiting the availability of lollipop so I can upgrade from the present kit Kat. At about 9a.m today,I got a notification for system update but immediately,I recalled the glitches associated with lollipop. Things like Wi-Fi issues,absence of vibration when volume is turned down among others. Yes most of the glitches have been sorted out but I can't help but worry.

I use HTC m8 and I've read about how beautiful lollipop looks on it, not forgetting the integrated UI by HTC, the newly improved HTC sense. I'm very eager to run the new OS but I have my reservations.

Now my question is,has anyone upgraded to android lollipop? If yes,how does it run on your device? Have you noticed any of the glitches?

Firstly, i feel so stupid and used.
okay, the real story is this, I promised my girlfriend (Now ex) a Samsung Note 3 phone for her birthday. Luckily for me at my place of work, the cooperative had the same phone up for pick up. As a guy who is deeply in love and knows that giving is part of maintaining a healthy relationship, i decided to pick up 2 Samsung Note 3 at the rate of N130,000 to be paid over a period of 12 months. Good news, the birthday came and i delivered.
Bad news, just 2days after my warm heart gift to her, she BROKE UP WITH ME. REASON: She doesn't see a future, blah blah blah...family issues, cultural differences.
i'm in the second month of my payment now. still paying for my Ex phone.

Advice: Can I ask her for the phone back? i feel cheated. (To make matters worse, she even uses her new bobo as Dp's on her bbm, for a phone i'm still going to be indebted for the next 10 months.

3sha4lyf: Well, 250% was my benchmark cos with the way ur going, you could [intend to] spend up to 800k on your proposed trip when you get ur 1M in the account which boils down to the same thing- Refusal.
Fair budget you have there, but guess what, you can only fulfil these plans WITH a visa. But if one of the reasons why people fall for refusal is because they claim to be spending well over a percentage of your income vs total balance, how then can you spend these monies and/or do the sightseeing/tourism in UK?
Go do some small work on your budget... Early planning and booking for example can reduce the accommodation costs. Also scout for hotels with breakfast included. (Saves u some cost).

3sha4lyf: You may neither have to "build up" your account nor spend 600k on a trip of just 10 days. The paramount thing is that you do your research very well and cut costs cos even if you build your account to 1m, you may still risk falling for refusal if your budget Is that much for 10 days, making it well over half of your end balance and over 250% of your income. That's a red flag IMO.
As for your house rent of about 800k, that is not so strong a tie but yes, it CAN act one depending on how you use it towards ur application, and especially if you have only just paid for it in the recent past. Afterall, if you can pay your annual house rent at a go, one ECO may assume that you have to recover from the expenditure before going another spending spree, while another may assume that you can't pay for a house and abandon it, if you get the picture I'm painting. #JustSaying.
So do some serious homework and put your thingy in.

Vicjustice: Being single or married is not a requirement, it is only a factor for consideration. And family tie is not a requirement as well, someone who has no family can apply for a visa using other obligation aspects as ties.
Sure, that N800k rent payment can represent a serious tie, but (out of curiosity), what nature of property costs that much to rent, a modern king's palace or a presidential facility?
As for your financial circumstances, I see a real problem in this, you want to spend your entire savings for a leisure trip to the UK hoping to restart your life in expectation of future earnings even though you claim to have a dependant younger brother and parents to cater for? It doesn't work that way.
My friend, by your own analysis, you don't seem to meet the requirement for a tourist visa, therefore, I'll advice you to read the post in this link:

and apply again in due time, otherwise, you will be refused again.

tzetzefly: Your reply to the VO on your travel plan was not consistent with your intended purpose. Your body language also gave the VO a doubt about your application.

You said at the time, you'd want to visit Malaysia and later stated you were not sure if you'd want to. And the fact that you had a Malaysian visa on your passport and you not being positive as to why you applied for it in the first place, is another problem on its own.

What i dont get is did you fill in your DS-160 form that you will be travelling to Malaysia from the U.S., or were you asked this question by the VO?

However when next you are applying for a visa to any country, you need to have a clear and unambiguous reason as to why you're travelling and what your purpose for travelling entails......

im a married US green card holder with my wife an american in the US. Ive been working in Nigeria doing contracts since the US recession in 2008/2009. I plan to move my wife down here soon but for now shes continuing her hair salon work in the US. I visit her in the US every 3 months and these british guys are telling me they are not convinced that i will leave their country at the end of my stay? Are you kidding me

i submitted EVERY possible document: finances (both coy and personal with a salary of N300k paid to me by my coy, combined balance of over N2m, N500k made available for the trip (1 week), land, current projects and contract with a state govt, coy registration, green card, US marriage certificate, current and previous passport, cover letter specifying everything above.

i feel insulted that they can think I want to run away to the UK. I dont think the ECO even looked at my supporting documents at all as i am sure the application was COMPLETE. what more do these pple want? A letter from the Queen?

i think an appeal will be a long process so i want to reapply, but what circumstances do they want me to change? im not going to cook up a lie ive presented everything. what do i do? @justwise or anyone else please advise

i have applied from the US in 2008 and was refused due to finances. i had a friend invite me then but this person cant really be considered a friend anymore so i applied as a tourist with a hotel booking, which is where i will stay. Could this be used against me?
