donparosky:
lol it actually depends on the volume of oil you have in store.

Like I mentioned earlier, just letting people in Abuja know you've got quality oil is enough trouble for you.

So the price was already on a downward trend before it reversed partly because of some policies and the recent government clamp down on fake oil dealers.

What I'd advice you is to be selling maybe five kegs a week to help you monitor the price trend around your vicinity.

But with the current events, oil would still be around this range of price by December. The picture attached is all I could harvest for a plantation that I usually get over 600 bunches at this period. Even plantations are feeling the hardship lol

Again we should not expect anything too cheap during the peak months. The best we might get next year by March upwards is roughly 9k

Thank you very much

Oil is hot cake in Abuja currently.

It's selling for 25k only without kegs.

You don't need connections, just make sure people around you know you've got oil and that's it

I’m in Abuja and I have like some kegs is it advisable to hold on until December? Cos in reality I want to keep recycling the money with the same oil storage . If I sell early money fit go somewhere else before next season storage

I agree with you. I have a friend on Facebook who is a breeder. Dude bought an accord 05. Na then I know say money dey inside the matter.
I can't o cos I get small fear for dogs. I will need to first overcome that before I even start of thinking of space and neighbors feelings.

How do you guys cope with loss of a puppy?
Does that happens often

Yes it does even the grown dog dies , hazard of the business . As a newbie it’s advisable you buy a male puppy cos female are very delicate . All you need to do is just feed the male dog very well and when the dog can start mating you cash out . For each dog the male mates you get a puppy or you collect cash your choice

I dey go show am this post tomorrow.

It’s a serious investment! I buy my dogs feed 36k per bag , as puppies you spend more for milk vitamins etc lol . Dog business is serious business but you will make your money back

Una too like oversabi. The person he bought it from runs a business and also made a profit. Do you think creating jobs is as simple as having 450k?
Does that mean people with 100s of millions could have solved Nigeria's problems in it's entirety?

We are ignorant in naija and we display it without care . The person you quoted has forgotten that by buying the dog , using vet , buy feed and drugs with other items for the dogs the op has kept more than 5 people in business

Teetee777:

Free tutorial on local rice package for wholesalers

Firstly, we are now in season of paddy rice, by ending of this month/ October, others states will be harvesting their paddy rice which will make the price of paddy rice crash in the market.

Presently, some northern states like kebbi, Niger state, their paddy rice is between 15k to 18k. In this grains business, there is nothing like one man mopo, if you want to make a good profit in local rice package, you need to partner with someone or group of people before you can make it.

let me give you an example, go to any market in southern states and make your findings how those northern men gotten their grains, they are in two groups, some were staying in southern states while others were staying in northern state. so those in northern state will be supplying those in southern states.

i remember one nairaland member called me two days ago that he is coming to adamawa state from eastern state for grains, so that i can help him get some grains. he explained to me that he deals in wholesale of local rice and he asked me, maybe he can get the mill rice company in Adamawa for processing. My explanation to the man goes thus;

The best place you can get a good price for paddy rice for now is Kebbi state.

let assume you buy paddy rice at the rate of 16k per 100kg.
from 100kg bag of paddy rice, you would get 50kg to 55kg bag when processing it.
The processing of paddy rice, destone and polish is #2200
Branded bag of 50kg bag is 300.

so,
paddy rice 16,000
processing. 2200
branded bag. 300
total 18500 + 1000 other expenses/transport
All total is 19,500 for processing bag of 50kg rice

Now my question is, how much is 50kg bag of rice in southern market presently? Some are selling at the rate of 21k, 22k or 22k500 depends on each state. if it's 1k profit on a bag is ok.

Am I making sense?

I really want to do this grain businesses but to break into abuja market is proving difficult.

I have created a thread on my practical experience based on grains business. so, people have been calling and chatting me to creat WhatsApp group but i refused due to the fact that not everybody will have access to it.
https://www.nairaland.com/6164441/grains-business-personal-experienced

Moreover, i remember my business in 2001 to 2003 when obasanjo was our president, I used to buy kolanut (goro) from ekiti and ondo state and selling them in Kano market. Then, there was nothing like internet to know more about another business like grains. If I had the opportunity to access to nairaland or access to information during that time, I would not have stopped.

We are now in harvest time for those who want to start the business, grains like egusi, groundnut, maize and millet has come out. Soya beans, beans sorghum etc will soon come out

My insight will base on;

1. Retail on grains business

2. Wholesales

3. Buying and selling in bulk

4. Supply

5. Storage of grains

6. Northern state/market where you can buying them in cheap price

7. How to get capital from the bank without collateral

Continue........

God bless you ! I’m so following this thread

Groundnut:-groundnut is always among the best storage grains because you will always gain even if the gain percentage is not much.you can store both peel and unpeel, this year,I bought peeled groundnut worth 4 million naira to a nairalander in onitsha.and we bought them when a sack is 30,000 and now a sack of peel groundnut is 55,000.A sack of unshelled groundnut now is 14,000 while in harvesting time is 8,000.storage duration is 7 months from December-July.

I will like to learn more from you , kindly send me your number

i want to clarify some issues here for those who are calling or chatting me that they want to follow me whenever i want to travel.

1. you. can't follow me for securities reason

2. if you need any information, please call me i will respond and direct you, some members can testify to this. there are members here that have traveled for grains when they got there, they called me and asked questions and i responded to them.

3. if you are afraid to travel, remember that some people are not traveling to north but they got killed here in south o, some people are not traveling to north o, but they were kidnapped o. my point is that no where is safe in Nigeria.

4. All these information I am/was given out, nobody would reveal it to the people for free but I considered the unemployment in this country that's reason I revealed these information to benefit those who can venture into the business. You don't need to have big money before you start, start from somewhere. Look at those aboki that are pushing wheelbarrow, they are making a profit of atleast 5k on a bag of grains, if atleast they sell 3 bag of grains in a week they would make atleast 15k in a week. My point is that, start from somewhere.
Good evening bros please I need your number

Me na from nasarrawa toto I dey usually buy and it's currently between 38/40k, this is excluding expenses o(cost of sack, cost of bagging, sewing, loading/offloading, laada)

No problem we can go together next week , I’ll be available from Wednesday so we can plan for a wed/Thursday/Friday market .. my source is even from a village in doma and not in the market but he still told me 31k and I was arguing someone promised me for 14k he just cut me off the phone lol
