President Buhari, on Saturday, hascome out to warn his diehard supporters to stop campaigning for his re-election.

The President who spoke to journalists through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, said;

“It has been observed that some fervent supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari have begun what may be interpreted as political campaigns in their advocacies and advertisements in the mass media.

“We appreciate their enthusiasm, borne out of desire to garner support for an administration that is actuated by nothing else, other than service for motherland, but we hereby appeal for patience, so that the game can be played according to the rules.

“The Independent National Electoral Commission has a timetable for political campaigns, and we urge committed supporters round the country (and beyond) to be mindful of such.

“There will be ample time ahead to trumpet the good works of the Buhari administration, and solicit re-election, all for the good of our country and her people.

“While a chronicle of the achievements of the administration is in order now, outright canvasing may amount to jumping the gun. We are an administration committed to due process and scrupulous respect for rules, law and order.

“We appreciate our massive supporters nationwide, and urge them to exercise restraint till the race commences officially as stipulated by law.”

A Married woman ran out of luck as she was caught pant-down with her husband’s childhood friend.

The woman walked into one of the cheapest hotel with her lover, unknowingly to her that she was followed by a member of her husband’s family.

According to a Gist Afriqan on Facebook, the member of her husband’s family waited patiently for them to go into their go into the arena, arranged themselves for them match before breaking into the room.

An Akwa Ibom Business Magnate identified as Eugene Parker Udofia, on Facebook, has called out MC Galaxy for attacking the 2017 Big Brother Naija winner, Miracle, over his failure to thank Emoney for donating close to a million naira in support of his chances to win the BBNaija TV Show.

Wife of one of the Borno State 2019 PDP Gubernatorial Aspirants, Comrade Grema Terab, with 19 other family members have been shown mercy as they were granted bail after 30 days in detention with no charges.

According to online reports, they were arrested shortly after a political meeting in Maiduguri on Sunday 15th April, 2018.

It was further learnt that pregnant Hajiya Muhammad, while in detention, had subsequently suffered a miscarriage due to alleged maltreatment.

Comrade Terab, who took to his Facebook to disclose the news, wrote;

“We thank you all for your support and prayers at these trying times.We remain grateful for your show of courage in the face of injustice and the tyranny of the oppressors.

There is this 11-year-old girl identified as Miss Mmeyene-Abasi, who is not only blind but crippled too in Akwa Ibom.

According to a Facebook user Benjamin Omini Itu, who took it upon himself to intervene over in situation, is calling Nigerians to join him take care of this little girl.

While sharing photos of the 11-year-old girl, Omini , wrote;

“She was dumped on her partially blind grandmother when people.in the compound had gone to.church on a Sunday.

A young man at his 20s, identified as Etim has died after reportedly consuming over a thousand milligram of tramadol in Obaganya Otukpo, Benue State.

Information online has It that the young man, popularly known as Ratty, was rushed to Abba clinic at Ogiri Oko street when he became unconscious after taking the substance on April 30.

He was pronounced dead on Wednesday after spending three days at the hospital and was buried the same day.

A source at the hospital said;

“that the tramadol dosage he took was too much for his system to withstand which led to the destruction of some vital organs.

“He became extremely weak and couldn’t even say a word throughout his stay at the hospital till he gave up the ghost.”

During his consultation visit to Akwa Ibom, the Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, predicted that the People’s Democratic Party-PDP, will win between 25 and 27 state in the forthcoming 2019 election.

According to the Nation, the former Vice President said his assurance of victory for the party was predicated on the fact that Nigerians are already fed up with the hardship and intolerable disposition of the present APC-led government.

Atiku, who made this know yesterday at the PDP Secretariat during his consultation visit in Uyo, challenged Nigerians to oust APC from government if they desired to continue to have a country.

The former Vice President, said;

“The country is in its worse state today. I have never seen it since the civil war. Ethnic division, north against south, this is very dangerous for our survival as a country.

“We must do all what we can to address this situation. We have to unite together to arrest this, otherwise you would one day wake up and find out that we don’t have a country, God forbid.

“We may end up with 25-27 PDP states in Nigeria, because every part of this country is fed up with this government. And this is the most intolerant government I have ever seen in this country. And unfortunately for us, he was not even part of this struggle.The situation in APC states is horrible. You cannot even meet like this. They are intolerable because they were not part of the struggle for actualization of democracy. If PDP was like this, there would not have been any opposition party in this country”.

“Let us therefore unite and make sure that we free this country and our people from this situation. The political restructuring of this country is inevitable, whether we like it or not.

“We must deploy resources and powers to the federated units of this country. If states and Local Government Areas are given more resources and powers, the people would hold them accountable”.

Atiku decried the current disunity, ehnicity, division and religious intollerance, promoted by the government of President Buhari, noting that such was quite dangerous for the continued survival and oneness of the country, maintaining that given the extent of decay in the country at the moment, Nigerians would need to support a candidate with the qualities, capacity, experience and the qualification to face the challenges. To actualized this, Atiku said,“I can do that job, but only with your support”.

A group identified as the Islamic Movement of Nigeria,  took to the street of Abuja today at about 1:30pm to protest against thearrest of their leader.

The group occupied the following area; Exclusive store, Dangote House, IBB way.

Police water van was seen driving into the crowd to spray water against members of the group but to no avail.

According to our source,  at least two people reportedly lost their lives during the demonstration.
