The right topic for this post should've been "Quick charging explained" . Calling it marketing gimmick didn't quite go well with is here. Plus quick charging is actually working.
More so, there's now quick charging 3.0 (found in LG G5) that is claimed to be able to get to 83% in 30 mins.

Before nko, i now use UC browser, very good and and fast for downloading.

But uc browser is very poor when it comes to browsing. Always showing network problems. The thing can be very very annoying.

Checked Airtel website and their SMS menu and this plan isn't there no! Hope it's not one of those many fake plans we see on nairaland.

What is the latest about MTN? Every other network is rolling out new data plans and all that, but I haven't heard any good news from MTN and Etisalat in a long long time. Kind of boring if you ask me.

I use both etisalat and airtel at the moment and I agree etisalat is faster but airtel network has improved greatly. I remember when their network was very awful, I dumped their line for etisalat. I decided to give them another try and subscribed for a 3 day plan and I was surprised at how their network has improved. Etisalat should better review their data plans cos they are fast losing their edge as fastest data service providers

Since we're not in Hong Kong and can't expect their kind of speed at the moment , I think what Airtel has done with their connection is quite commendable ; and what is more, their network is good almost everywhere unlike Glo that is location dependent.

Those were promos. Normal Airtel plan was 2k for 2GB. Their 4.5GB was N3500.

And I'm loving it.

Obviously Airtel is not taking it lightly that some people in some quarters claim that Glo has the highest data plans in the country. To this end, the self aclaimed smartphone network has launched a bumper package that offers 4.5GB at N2000 only (2gb used to cost 2k) and in my opinion, this is a good development. I'll rather pay 2k for 4.5GB than pay 1k for 1GB.
Let's all sit down and watch the competition from others.

Why spend up to 70k? Don't you know that 20k phones can equally do most (if not all ) things that a 70k phone can do? And to someone else, spending 70k on a phone is such a big waste of funds.

Somebody just spent his money on what he decided to buy and everybody have turned to Judas with better idea of what to do with that money. These companies release these flagship phones once in a yr, they release other models here and there each & every time. If you can't spend 235k, you spend 100k, if not 100k, u can spend 50, 30k, 20k, 5k but by all means you must spend the money.

Do you realize he's talking about himself? I personally can't spent such amount of money on Samsung Galaxy S7 even if the ringing tone or alarm tone will wake my late sis and bro.

I will rather use part of the money to buy a well built budget friendly smartphone from other brands from China and then use the other half for something else. I know a guy that uses uses a premium Samsung phone that costs above 100k but doesn't have a washing machine and some other minor house hold tools that makes life easy for mankind. We are just crazy people.

Soon, Samsung is going to introduce the next S flagship with a few touches here and there that will make you fall in love with it and you may end up selling that your own below 100k to get the new one.

It isn't about being rich and spending money, it is about spending it on something or investing it on something that will bring good return, not on something that the value depreciates every minute.

Place that phone for sale now and you will see that nobody will pay above 200k for it, and if you mistakenly break the screen then you go dey beg for 50-70k.

I gave on Samsung after using S4.

I bought it and bought Xiaomi MI 2s for my gf because mini ain't available then but I ended up giving the S4 to her because I fell inlove with Mi 2s at first sight.

It made me realize that Samsung phones are over hyped and over prized and I will never spend a kobo for one again. Never.

Your opinion. By the way, if you place your washing machine for sale, will anybody buy it the same amount you did?

I was just saying I can't spend N235,000 on something I want. I can only spend it on something I need. And I don't see that phone as something I need. I may want it, but I can't spend N235,000 on a want. I can spend 50% above of my cash asset on what I need. I cannot spend more than 10% of my cash asset on a want. My cash asset is below N2m, so buying a N235,000 phone wld be breaking my financial policy. Why wld I spend N235,000 on a want, [/b]when those I love, or those that love me, have standing needs. [b]

All the same, if you have the money, buy what you want.

Can any of those people you love and those that love you vouch for you that you always help them meet their standing needs?

Pls what is this crazy thing about people mentioning Etisalat whenever network talk is brought up? Who the hell is Etisalat? What are they doing that others ain't doing? Their coverage is not even encouraging to start with.

lately Airtel network is the fastest, I don't know what and how they did it but It just keep flying.

They are actually fast now (internet speed)unlike before however, call quality on Airtel is not that good. Most times when I talk for long I start getting muffled sound.
And let nobody tell me it's from my phone cos when I still use other networks in the same phone, I get crisp clear call quality.

Total brutality. I love that advert. Saw it for the first time last night.

Etisalat easylife 4.0 is similar to that mtn Truetalk +. You can use it if you have etisalat line.
