Family / Re: Living Alone At 23, As A Single Lady, A Bad Idea Or Not? by donier: 2:13pm On Jun 10, 2020
AmIaYahooGirl:
Hello Nls,
I'm not really someone who listens to what people say but I just want to share this so that y'all can air your views.

I'm a young girl, 23 and an orphan, dropped out of school and came to Lagos to make ends meet. When I first came to Lagos, I stayed with a married female cousin of mine, along the line, the husband started making advances to me which I politely declined. He got angry and told his wife to throw me out of the house, and yes she did.

I was thrown out of the house without anywhere to go and as someone who has survived losing both parents at such a young age, I literally lived and survived in the streets. Did all sorts of menial jobs, hawked purewater, soft drinks, worked in a bar and all that before I finally got an apartment.

The story isn't quite necessary but when I get talking with people and I tell them that I stay alone, next thing I'll hear is "you're too young to stay alone... it's not a good idea...blah blah blah. Some older woman even told me to go back to my cousin's house and beg them so I can continue staying with them, another told me that it's better I stay with my boyfriend than staying alone.

I really don't understand all these talks, like despite all I've been through, isn't staying alone the best option? Or is there something wrong with staying alone as a single young lady?

Your humble opinion is needed, thanks

No issh living alone at 23..... hustle suppose block these critics opinions

wordproof:
Garba Shehu should've picked an equal opponent, a man who gets his speech previewed and edited by Adesina is holding sway in lesser terms than incompetency.

I would stoop to remind the military of the fourth Nuremberg Principal, PMB and Bururai orders are illegal and the onus is on the soldiers to disobey their illegal and ill-conceived orders.

Having reviewed the Aba videos clip, where some suspected IPOB members where gruesomely abused, mutilated and murdered, its been explicitly established that the video was taken by a Soldier, likely of Igbo extraction.

Therefore, we call on all patriotic Nigerian soldiers to disregard all illegal orders from the executive and superiors to maim and tactically erase the people of Abia State, Eastern Nigeria, as they are protected and exhornorated from prosecution under Fourth Nuremberg principal.

In addition to previous petition against Burutai etal, several other petitions have been filed and major interest have taken hold to see that he face war crimes and extra judicial killings.

Anyone who watched the video and heard clearly knows it was a Fulani that recorded it..its very clear.get your facts straight.

this calls for massive awareness in the South East. The soilders parading is a ritual. It is yo show the citizens that they are able, willing and ready to protect them. But Ipob has painted this the wrong way making their agitators attack the soilders with stones, sticks and matchetes..and some of them get killed in the process and then ipob takes pictures and says army hurts armless citizens...If you go to attack a soilder and he retaliates killing you in the process, it is self defence. Im an IBO..I denounce ipob..I denounce Biafra..I encourage restructuring so as to give ibos equal hearings as the hausas....and a lot of other ibos out there want the same.We don't want violence.

Princewill1:
WHY DIDN'T NIGERIANS CONDEMN THE BRUTAL MASSACRE OF IPOB MEMBERS IN 2016

On Feb 2016 the Nigerian military invaded National High School aba venue of IPOB rally and opened fire on people holding only biafran flags dozens were killed.

In the midnight of may 29 2016 Nigerian soldiers invaded a Catholic Church in Nkpor Anambra State and opened fire on ipob members who were sleeping at the Church. The killing continued the following day 30th may 2016 and at the end over 1000 ipob members were brutally slaughtered.

Amnesty International has written a comprehensive report on these killings.

But why is it that there were no mass condemnation of the army from Nigerians as they are doing to Ipob members today?

Is it only ipob members who deserve to die?

We can't be the victim all the time,it's time for u to taste being the victim

clarocuzioo:
First of all you are not an Igbo man please stop fooling yourself that you are Igbo, you are not.
I am not a fan of Nnamdi Kanu neither am I an IPOB member, but I stand for fairness to all, equity and Justice as that's the only thing that can guarantee peace and unity.
Nnamdi Kanu is fighting a just course, but is going about it the wrong way, I have told some IPOB members to tell him to watch his utterances and choices of words, also there are some crude methods he employed in the course of his fight for Biafra.
The truth is Biafra is not the solution to Igbos challenges now, the only thing that will douse this tension is RESTRUCTURING.
But the question begging for answer is how prepared are the northerners and especially the present Federal government prepared to allow the country to be restructured?? We all saw what played out in the National Assembly, and we also heard Baba Iyabo's stance on restructuring, and also we have seen APC drama on restucturing, looking at those scenarios properly is worrisome, and for you to say that ipob is been sponsored by pdp, please kindly tender your solid prove to that statement or forever shut your mouth and stop being myopic, was PDP also sponsoring Uwazurike when he was piloting MASSOB, Or did you not hear when Nnamdi Kanu was calling Jonathan names prior to the elections, Jonathan simply ignored him and nobody took Nnamdi Kanu serious until after his arrest that made him a celebrity.
Besides a call for secession is not a call for war as Nigeria is a signatory to United Nations chatter on self determination, since the case is already in court, why not the Federal government go to court and prove that Nnamdi Kanu has violated his bail conditions and ask the court to revoke his bail, why unleashing the military to the most peaceful region in the country? ? Besides is everyone in aba a member of IPOB?? please in the best interest of this nation let's stop peddling cheap lies and properganda, and let's all be sincere to National issues, if injustice is metted to somebody today and you are laughing and rejoicing, tomorrow it could be your turn.

brother please any Igbo man living in aba who has witnessed the tension in the last 72hours now knows the true motive of ipob.Destruction.death.extortion. It is now clear that Nnamdi kanu is being sponsored by the opposition. I'm an IBO man living in Ana.I don't support Nnamdi KANU.I don't support ipob.I support restructuring
