donstan18:You mean like you set mount up for failure?? ![]() A player that doesn't know his best position, or his best strength? ![]() Furthermore kiddo when men talk, you keep quiet. It's better you go back to your one sentences. You know nothing except mount mount. |
BlueMann:Does kante or kovacic give better passes than Jorginho? |
popizaino:This is partly false. I say so because I recall our attackers missing soo many clear cut chances in our games. How many tap-ins did Werner miss? Or morata that was always falling. What our about the Carling cup game 1st leg against Tottenham that had enough chances to make the game 5-0. Or this one below. Our attackers are extravagantly wasteful. That's a fact. But I also partly agree with you. We need better central midfielders. Our midfield is seriously lacking in creativity. Apart from jorginho's passing, no other midfielder knows how to give accurate passing or has the foresight and vision to release defense splitting passes. All 3 are decent DM's but who would be our Kross and modric, or kdb and Bernardo\gundogan, Pogba and Fernandes, xavi and iniesta etc etc?? All these are creative central midfielders who are expected to have very decent goals and assists for the team while their DM ensures good control and dictation of play. In these regard, kante and kovacic fail us woefully. They both lack creativity and shot power necessary to score and assist from deep. We need better midfielders and we need clinical attackers. For my earlier point, just see our players missing sweet chances in this game that should have ended with 5 goals. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRLgjsh6K90 |
BikeMan:This is not as wonderful as it may seem. It actually highlights a major problem we have. Just like jorginho being our highest scorer this season and last season highlights a major problem. 20 assists in 3 years is not a good stat. Robertson, Arnold, Kdb, Salah, son etc all have more than double that number in that timeframe. Also factor in that he has the most appearances of any player in that timeframe. |
The excerpts from the bombshell athletic article; Tuchel, an incredible 12 months and the battle to avoid a Chelsea second-year wobblehttps://theathletic.com/3090356/2022/01/26/tuchel-an-incredible-12-months-and-the-battle-to-avoid-a-chelsea-second-year-wobble/?source=twitteruk |
Segedinho:I'm looking at this list and all I'm seeing is further banana skins. Everton away with a new coach. Leeds away. Westham. Wolves. Southampton away. Plus arsenal and Leicester at home. Makes you just further appreciate what Guardiola's mancity did by going on such a run. |

BikeMan:News like these weaken me honestly. We start hearing things like this when a coach is under pressure.. players leaking internal affairs to the press. One would think any of them have performed fantastically to nail down their spot. The games we drew this season which were winnable, many of them either went hidden, made terrible decisions in front of goal or wasted good scoring chances. I remember mount being wasteful against Everton. I remember odoi being wasteful against man-u. Havertz and Barkley being wasteful against Burnley. Etcetera etcetera. I think it's also important we trimm our squad a bit. It's over bloated. One of the German frauds have got to go and we need to choose between odoi and pulisic. Having 8 attackers for 3 positions is not ideal. |
Chelsea always suffering from player power. Players that are paid millions will be failing at their jobs and still have a rabid sense of entitlement. |
This justifies my point I've been hammering on since. Seems these useless attackers don't want to learn and listen to the coach. Tuchel has seen the uselessness of our attackers, hope the board supports him in his actions.
|
donstan18:I don't hate mount. I actually like that our academy player has established himself but I'm not blind to his underachievement. He has failed to live up to the hype and it's costing us. You on the other hand, find him faultless. In your mind, he's totally un-dropable. You genuinely believe he's extra special, guess what, nobody's seen that yet. He's costing us points. |
donstan18:You should be ashamed of yourself for supporting such a failure for Chelsea. Mounts only saving grace is simply that he's from the academy. He's just our academy tax. We are very desperate to play players we call our own irrespective of quality, that's why odoi and mount will be seeing shirt in a club like Chelsea. Look at the very shameful stats below and hide your face in shame. 24 goals in 138 appearances. Only 2 champions league goals out of 22 appearances. This is who should be leading the line for us. Tufia gi.

amodu:Indeed!! Bro. It's why I'm always pissed at the fools who keep over hyping our useless attackers. People who won't let somebody hear word whenever they score 1 goal after 7 matches or 1 assist in 10 games. Imagine that, Pulisic highest goals in a season in his career is 12. That was under lampard. Ziyech has only 7 premier league goals in 50 appearances. Odoi's highest goals in the premier league is 4. Let's not even talk about mount and havertz with their paltry numbers. Save mounts hattrick against bottom Norwich and 5 assists from setpiece, you'll see his unproductive during games. We have been cursed with wasteful attackers. It's not even like we are not creative. We create lots of chances but have these impotent players waste them all. |
Na wa ooo. What's this na? |
Hmm |
izzou:That's egregious, it's not just because she's white. It's because I see her devotion to a whole different culture. It's rare to see someone from another continent go to another whole continent and ingratiate themselves totally to that new culture. It's not impossible to think of a Yoruba woman who adapts to an igbo culture or an Hausa culture because that person has already been exposed to bits and pieces of the culture since birth by virtue of proximity. The cultures share certain similar attributes, traditional monarchy, relatively similar diets, similar cultural fashion. Some of this brought together by the fact that both share similar environment, same whether, same vegetation, same climate etc. Very much unlike the different factors someone else from another continent faces. So it's a much bigger deal for nwanyi ocha to have adapted so well than those from the same geo location or continent. |
Ibime:Hmmm I always thought you married a British because I vaguely recall you saying something along those lines during your rap battle days many years ago and also because of how very light skinned your beautiful kids are. Anyways, I agree with you that qualification and merit should be the ultimate decider, it's worrisome that our society is just not yet as inclusive as it should be. We are still largely divided along tribal and ethnic lines laced with nepotism. I hope it changes soon. |
Look at our attacking output the last few seasons and see us consistently post poor attacking returns. We have always been one of the poorest scoring teams among the top6, just look at the shameful numbers below. Let nobody deceive you into scapegoating the wrong person because of a deeply held irrational hate for an individual. Once you hate someone, you hate the person, you are totally blind to reason objectively. Don't fall for it. Our cursed strikers and incompetent attackers are at fault for our woes. Certainly not the DM.
|
Yesterday I was pointing out that our major problem in Chelsea for the last few years has been our impotent attackers. We've had soo many attackers consistently produce poor numbers. Only 3 times in the last 8 years have any of our attackers scored more than 20 goals a season and That's Costa and hazard and 2 times it happened, we won the league. Also, less than 10 assists a season from any attacker. Aguero, Kane, Salah, sterling, mane, Mahrez, rashford, Son etc. All these attackers have posted 30 goals and assists in a season. Never a Chelseaattacker. The reason Tuchel focused on our striking department last window was because of our very poor attacking numbers and bluntness of our forwards. Willian, inconsistent hazard, Pedro, morata, higuain, Hudson odoi, Werner, mount, ziyech, havertz etc. All of them failures. Stats do show that we actually create a lot of high scoring chances but our strikers are cursed to always miss 1v1s. |
izzou:Personally, I might argue she merits it. We are talking of tourism and cultural affairs here. What better way than to put someone who has shown a deep love, acceptance and advertisement of the said culture than her. She is already doing it, she is qualified. But I understand the negative optics. I understand that giving the post to a foreigner when there is barely any other cabinet member from another tribe just looks absurd. Still doesn't take away from her qualification for the job. |
Never anything positive to say about jorginho. Always the negatives. Never given credit when due. That's what irrational hate does. Focus on the one error made but ignore the multiple times his opponent the tout lost the ball under pressure. Again, jorginho and the thugberg have met 8 times in a row and never once have Tottenham outpossed Chelsea, not even scored one goal in those encounters. His team conceded 70 goals last season, meanwhile jorginho anchored his team to be the best defense on its way to winning the champions league. Italy went on a 35 game unbeaten run, the longest unbeaten national side for 4 years. Jorginho featured in 29 {89%} of those games which culminated in them winning the Euros. As I said, only hate can define your badbelle. He has made his name. He has been recognized as one of the best players in the modern game. He is right at the top. Majority of Chelsea fans both here and match going love our vice captain, leader, legend. Choke on your hate.

izzou:But as a Nigerian by marriage, it qualifies her for the job. I think she's also done a good job of promoting the culture. It's why I wanted to see ibime's view on the issue as he's literally experiencing this. I just hope my question wasn't interpreted to be ill-mannered or bad intentioned. |
BlueMann:E don tey ziyech dey find this goal. |
benalvino3:The people posting the posters, are they doing it as an act of solidarity or to mockery to tinubu? |
Kokobilo87:Are you an adult? Are you above 25 years? If you are, shame on you. Coming online to act foolishly. Do you have a girlfriend? Do you have kids?? What would either say if they saw your online persona? Shame on you. |
Please in understandable language, can someone tell me why tinubus campaign poster is always posted here? Is it an act of derision or support? |
CapitalCee:Haba guy, chill abeg. There is no one who is seriously blaming buhari for Nigeria losing. All na cruise. Furthermore that someone got to be president or leader of a country doesn't define success. What matters is legacy. Abacha got to be a head of a state but will forever be known as a tyrannical dictator who never cared for the country but for himself. Buharis administration has also been remarkable for it's massive failure. Whatever problem he met has only increased times 10. I voted for the man in 2015 because I genuinely believed they were a breath of fresh air from the 16 years of misrule and impunity from PDP. Alas, the man has betrayed every single person who believed in him. Don't make him out to be what he's not. |
Amoto94:Yeah, there were so many injury and covid disruptions. Tuchel, given time will build a powerful squad very much comparable to city. Yeah, RLC, Barkley and one other attacker needs to go, we have an over bloated squad. Too many attackers. One of either Werner, havertz or odoi needs to be sold this summer. As for Gallagher, broja, Webster and others, they should remain where they are. Coming to Chelsea now would stunt their development. And what we need right now is already developed players. No time to keep developing players. The most important thing we need now in our squad is a creative and goalscoring midfielder. Kante kovacic have consistently failed at this. We need midfielders with goals and assists like kdb, Pogba etc. |
CapitalCee:Learn to take a joke ffs. ![]() |
I didn't know they brought this topic to nairaland yesterday. It was a bitter war on Twitter. https://www.nairaland.com/6952662/should-swiss-woman-nwanyiocha-made Ibime, I am genuinely curious to hear your opinion on this. I recognize that you are literally living through this and would like to know how you see this. You married a fine British woman who is now Nigerian by marriage and have beautiful bi-racial children. If a lot of people knew that your British wife is quite enthusiastic about your ijaw culture and that she actively promotes your culture to everyone, would it be a wonderful opportunity to be employed by the state government as a commissioner? Quite important Keeping in mind the tribal tensions that already exist between different tribes in the same country. We rarely see people from different tribes in state cabinets because of this. What do you make of the optics? Is it okay by you? |
Amoto94:True. I've been Soo looking forward to tuchel spicing things up. We have a large enough squad to be tactically flexible. Barkley and RLC would also do very well in this 4222 formation. Although I'm seeing it as a diamond middle. |
donstan18:Kovacic lost the ball 12 times. Thugberg lost the ball 13 times, i don't see you calling them out the way you rush to criticize jorginho. With jorginho at the base we won them with 70% possession. You just can't bring yourself to praise jorginho can you. Sheeple.
