I'm really scared of all these setpieces against us this match. We are having a height deficiency in the team today. Many short players. |

Lukaku just wasted a good half chance. Make better decisions. This game is all about the slim margins. |

Kantebets: I can’t remember any game where a fit lukaku has been dropped in big games this season He was signed 98M and the coach is not likely to drop him moreover Werner and co miss far too many chances which lukaku wouldnt The problem playing against mancity would be, creating those chances in the first place. We may not have enough possession to create chances for Lukaku to finish but with Werner, we can count on his speed to displace his markers and his energy to disturb their passing in defence. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by donjazet(m): 11:08am On Jan 13, 2022 |
Kantebets: dont u think lukaku will start? I sincerely don't know if Lukaku would be energetic enough to press relentlessly. Mancity obsess over being with the ball. We need our frontmen to never stop pressing. To force them into errors. Lukaku usually doesn't have the sustained stamina to press without the ball, this is where Werner has an advantage over him, also Werner's pace will be advantageous to hitting them on the counter. |

Efelefu: No be me talk am oh Ziyech does this better than mount. And is more of a goal threat. There is nothing special about mount. If we want to play attacking football against mancity, I expect tuchel to play pulisic, Werner, Ziyech. 2 dribblers and a pacy striker because city would play a high line. Jorginho, kante in the middle. I do fear for Alonso though. It's like he loses more pace every match. |

I am really enjoying watching kovacic. The guy's movement and carrying of ball is a joy to behold. Let him just try and add shots to his game. Shooting from distance, he would be a world beater.
Kepa too has shown massive signs of improvement this season. Na him get this cup sef if we win am. He has been pulling massive performances anytime he's played this season. I hope he keeps it up. |

Succumbing to the evil political machinations of our country. It was better before when you used to pretend to support APC on ideological grounds. Now you've bared your kleptomaniac tendencies for all. Just look at you, trying to justify supporting a thief. It's such a shame. You're the type that would hype criminals with ill-gotten wealth just to eat from them. Such a big shame indeed. It hurts seeing you write these jargons for tinubu. |

PDPGuy: It’s sad but true that it’s people like Tinubu, Atiku, Anyim that can realistically win presidential elections.
Besides, I agree that idealism ain’t enough. Even Obama needed a solid ground game, across America’s swing states and bell-weather states, to win in 2008 and 2012. His flowery rhetoric without a campaign structure would have only earned him a top -10 finish in the Democratic primaries.
The same can be said for Trump: His MAGA message without a Republican ground game would have rendered his campaign essentially DOA. Trump and Obama are not comparable. Trump was already famous before he ran. His popularity which was groomed over decades made it very easy for his messages to resonate with his followers not to talk of the money he had. It was Obama who was really unknown who perfected the art of grassroot politicking. Volunteers going door to door and maximamizing the power of social media which was relatively new then. |

Havertz10: I don't think what people want matters, politicians have successfully herded Nigerians into 2 camps
PDP vs APC
The real election is the convention to choose candidates, the rest is essentially kayfabe, Nigerians will vote for either, the same way APC called PDP a failure, its the same way PDP will call APC a failure, the irony is lost on Nigerians, I expect PDP to win, particularly if APC remove subsidy this year Both parties are indeed failures. We cannot continue to allow ourselves be pigeonholed into either of them. It's preposterous. I'm optimistic this year would produce a strong third force but it's shameful to see the youths already settling tents with these criminals. |

larride: I personally could’ve preferred PYO, Fashola or Amaechi but then BAT wants the seat himself so why not. He has paid his due and deserve to go for it. The electorate will decide. This campaign will be like none other. larride: Tinubu has left government since 2007. He has been tried at the code of conduct tribunal during PDP days and he came out clean. How is Tinubu responsible for the poor state of things? Mention any state in this country that’s better governed than Lagos State. You can start from your own home state. At least Tinubu doesn’t control your home state Governor, please tell us how they have bettered the lives of people in your home state. Surely, you're more brilliant than this. Having to fall back to the classic whataboutism. I'm an idealist. I always hope for things to become perfect, better than they are. Not settling for poor alternatives. Why don't we focus on a better third party? We the electorate are ripe for it. The social movements of the last few months and years have brought about a political awakening for the youths. There is room for a strong third party showing, the likes of sowore or Kingsley moghalu. It's no longer a pipe dream for us to vote in outsiders. What just doesn't make sense is supposed "enlightened youths" like yourself I assume, having to fall back on the ruling political class, unless you have something to personally gain from it which makes you selfish and part of the problem. |

larride: YES. Why not. Why not For starters, he's another grandmaster of corruption, sewn from the same cloth of old men in this country that has bastardized our governance system. Another member of a cabal that is in for himself and the elite in the country. Ask yourself, what exactly is this man running for?? He already controls state governors, senators, reps and politicians across all levels of governments, local, state and federal. He is responsible for the poor state of things. Why would ANY Nigerian youth in their right sense boldly proclaim to still support the ruling cabal in this country? It makes no sense. |

Again I'll say this, arguing transfers is usually pointless because you don't know which is true or false. Many transfer stories appear to have a verisimilitude about them but when scrutinized fall apart. No One knows whose source is actually factual or right or wrong. We can only use words from the horse's mouth themselves, coaches, players or agents. Any Media third party is a grey area. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by donjazet(m): 2:24pm On Jan 10, 2022 |
Transfer rumors are rarely factual. Lots of manufactured stories or both parties {clubs and agents} using lies as a form of negotiation.
They should rarely be used as objective sources or facts. |

nihilistjnr: You posted an article where your sources are 'craving anonymity'. Who do you then ascribe the statement to? If Ooni of Ife really doesn't believe in human sacrifice he would say it on the record. Eni Je Oba is the Yoruba phrase that colloquially means someone has been crowned king. You and I and any other Yoruba person knows the literal translation of that phrase. It's not a huge stretch to jump from ritualised cannibalism as an ascension rite to ritual human sacrifice Anyway bros give it a rest. It's clear you've never had to write a well referenced academic essay.
Have a blessed week ahead. I have to say, I admire your insightful historical knowledge of Nigerian culture especially Yoruba, there has been several moments in the past you've posted seasoned insights into historical Yoruba culture. Do you also know as much for other major tribes in Nigeria? |
