Ibime:Toni kroos used his own mouth to praise jorginho and gave his reason why, but here you are telling us why YOU think Kross voted for jorginho. Maybe you will also explain on behalf of others who managed to give him 460 points. ![]() Are you beginning to see the similarities between you and havertz10?? His unhealthy hate and obsession with mount is now what you have developed against jorginho. Such a pity. ![]()

Guys let's not be an awkward fan base. This is certainly not the time to argue over our OWN player. This is the time for all of us to band together and celebrate one of OUR OWN plus the club and other players being celebrated on the biggest stages. The hating should be left for our rivals. I mean these are the things we live for and love to see. Our legends performing on the biggest stages, our players and club being applauded by the elite and echelons of football. Our academy stars ranking high. These are immense achievements for all. We didn't even get this much hype and recognition after our UCL win in 2012. WE SHOULD BE VERY HAPPY AND PROUD. certainly not whiny. Congrats to us all, the blue family. Long may we reign.
|
Capaldi:This is very very very poor. This has to improve or we'll not win anything. See me yesterday hoping that well score one of those numerous corners. Just because our attackers are very blunt. If our defenders no open scoring , no way for the attackers to score. Shameful indeed. |
I even forgot to talk about loftus cheek. 2 things, first of all, he's no longer a teenage academy kid, Mourinho gave him his debut about 7 years ago when he was 17. By now, he's supposed to matured more and fully into his role. I don't know why till now a midfielder will be obsessed with dribbling instead of passing. He's supposed to drive the ball a bit forward, release the ball into spaces in front the attackers can exploit or supply defense splitting passes. He's failing woefully and still playing like a kid who just wants to Keep dribbling without any meaningful result.Secondly, I was hoping he would be 'that' midfielder that would scoring screamers from 25 yards out. I don't know why he doesn't shoot from outside the box. We've not had a midfielder in the mould of lampard who could score goals from deep positions and I was hoping he would buck that trend. I was looking forward to seeing him take accurate long shots from outside the box. He has the power and accuracy in his shot. He should do it more. |
I'm impressed with how we totally dominated man-u for very large phases of the game. Mendy had absolutely nothing to do for the first 40 minutes of the match. And we really had crucial chances which we should have buried. We are way too wasteful. I'm fucking pissed with Werner. I have been hoping ssince, that this player would grow into his role, but after 2 years with us, nothing suggests to me that Werner is a natural striker. His shots are very weak for a striker, lacks technique, I have never seen him curve the ball when shooting. It's always direct. I think we have to do away with him, his cons heavily outweigh his pros. See that shot he had inside the box from that corner, see how wide he shot the ball, at least put in on target and make the keeper pull a save. What good is a striker who fits well Into a tactical system but wouldn't actually do the primary Job of finishing ![]() I'm beginning to think we are truly cursed with this striker ish. Why do all our players who play as a top 9 struggle to score goals for us?? With the amount of chances per game we've been having this last few years, our attackers are supposed to be posting large numbers but we end up struggling badly to finish games off. And we need to solve this if we want to win the league. Lastly, jorginho did a very good job in that middle, I was scared of that jam packed middle but we really did control the game firmly bar his stupid mistake. But again, that's what it is, a MISTAKE. One which we rarely ever make which is very admirable for a counter pressing team. Just like Mendy's mistake in passing that ball to our opponents. If you watch our matches recently, you actually see that we've been making a lot of those risky passes, it's very essential to our system, to keep the ball moving quickly and rarely passing back unless absolutely absolutely needed. Our players are trained to receive the ball on the half-turn and have an awareness of the teammates around them before they've even received the pass. Jorginho was trying to read the players around him before the ball dropped but was too slow in doing that. This is something we've done severally within games and pulled off well. It's one of those situations where something that is done well severally fails. It's very rare and an aberration. I doubt this would happen in a very long time again. Anyways, unto the next, it's now crucial that we win our next 5 matches if we really want to win this league, there is literally no room for error again for us. Win our next 5 matches and build a lead or drop points and fall behind. I certainly hope we don't repeat the errors of the last 4 years. I hope we come out in January as the champions in waiting. #KeepBelieving. |
Unto the individual performances. Again, collectively we played very well but some individuals within that group were found wanting severally. I'm hoping tuchel fixes these kinks in the system. The injuries though haven't helped at all. We had no CM on the bench so our hands were tied or forced. The team chemistry and the momentum we were gaining from the last few matches were slowed down by the injuries to kante and chillwell. Crucial players to our system. Kante has been hugely affecting our game play through the middle while chillwell had began to gain an understanding and connection with odoi and rudiger on the left channel. Alonso didn't do himself much favors today with our attacking phases, I truly hope he adapts in the subsequent matches. And I don't understand the idea of him taking setpiece, he is one of our top 3 tallest players who is supposed to add to our aerial threats in set pieces. If not as a scorer in the box, as a comprehensive decoy for the more dangerous nodders in the box. He certainly shouldn't be taking them, not even as if he was very good at them. |
I feel bad about the result, but not necessarily about the team performance. Football is usually about emotions and expectations. Many Chelsea fans were dead-on sure about us winning man-u seeing our form and theirs, but in my mind, it was a 60-40 match. Matches like this are rarely about form. It's about slim margins. History has also shown us to perform best in big matches like this when we are underdogs or have even chances, rarely ever when we are presumed superior. And that is ironically why we usually find it hard to beat man-u or arsenal recently. They usually come into our matches as slight underdogs and dig in their heels and end up snatching points here and there with rare moments of individual brilliance or opponents error, Something which we, normally do to the likes of mancity or Barca etc. |
Alonso's coordination is lacking. Our left wing is practically useless. It's as if he's been purposefully targeted. Tuchel do something abeg. I really need us to win this scummies. I knew this game would not be a walk in the park as many people expected. |
I'm actually seeing online that man-u formation is a 4-4-2 diamond, meaning they intend to flood the middle. Hmmm. Tactical innovation from carrick. Surprises! |
donstan18:I'm counting on RLC also pulling through. He has to use his body to retain possession better. |
Roland17:I beg to differ. It was bold dropping Ronaldo. Ronaldo's strength might be against teams that sit back where he can poach goals. This selection enables them to press and pressure us better. And I suspect their youthful selection will enable them pressure jorginho more by flooding bodies in the middle. I'm definitely not underestimating this team. |
Havertz10:The fact that you can't see that tuchel has dumped havertz like a used condom is baffling. I told you the best we can hope from that flop is as an impact sub. Hoping he comes from the bench when the opponents have worn out and do something. ![]() And please for the love of God, stop obsessing over mount, he cost us ZERO pounds, zilch, nothing. Unlike a disposed condom that cost us 70 million British pounds. You should be ashamed to be allied with such failure. |
Ibime:Nooo abeg. If not Werner, then pulisic. Havertz gives us nothing up front. This is not a game we can afford to entertain his poor decision making and wastefulness in the opponents 18. Havertz can come on as an impact sub {that's if he can have any impact}. I devoted my time these last few weeks watching havertz to know his strengths and came off disappointed. He's not good at anything particularly. As average as can be. The guy is in no world worth 70 million British pounds. We were scammed. |
Havertz10:After watching him flop at the front, what can you say is havertz outstanding capability?? What does he strive at doing best?? We know that ziyech crosses very well, both from setpiece and open play, also has a good shooting technique. We know that odoi is a very good dribbler who takes on players, hence opening spaces behind the defence. Not to talk of James and chillwell. So please tell me, what does havertz excel at that we are yet to see?? It's now 18 months since we bought him, is that not enough time for him to have settled down? And for us to have known his strengths and weaknesses? I pity for those who you fooled into believing this guy was worth anything Sha. very unfortunate. |
The God delusion. There is no God!! We Africans need to wake up and stop being ignorant. This is the 21st century. God, abeg make Chelsea wallop man-u for Stamford bridge. At least 6-0. |
Ibime:I know that Chris is not that physical but compared to chalobah, he seems better and perhaps his experience should count. As for the height issue, I just checked and I'm quite surprised that chalobah is taller, albeit by 3cm. Who do you think should start in the strikers role today? |
Havertz10:Jude how far, a month ago, you said havertz will do his talking on the pitch, "particularly now" (Ie, referring to the run of games he would play as a striker). I now ask you, to you, has he done his talking on the pitch? Has the scales of the havertz propaganda machine began to fall off your eyes? What else do you want us to do for havertz to bring out his supposed "best" from him? Do we change formation for him to suit him? ![]() Other players who came into the team stamped their stake in the starting 11, from James to Hudson to chalobah to chillwell but your boy kept dropping shambolic performances and ratings, consistently being the worst rated on the pitch as evidenced below. Just what do we do to a player we bought for 71 million British pounds? The Italian police have to also investigate this deal for possible money laundering. It's unthinkable that marina would fall for this scam. Anyways I hope he can become an impact sub from the bench. That might be his usefulness to this team. But please I use Atheist God beg you, don't make noise about this boy on this thread again. If not I go personally organize campaign to ban your moniker for nuisance. Na bag I beg oo. All of una go bear me witness, say na beg I beg am. ![]()

Against man-u, my starting lineup is Mendy AC--Thiago--rudiger James--Jorginho --RLC-- Alonso Ziyech\pulisic --Werner-- CHO. Christensen comes in for chalobah to help us Aerially and physically, Ronaldo will attack more from their position. RLC comes in for kante. I'm confident he can fit in and I hope he continues to use his upper body strength to wrestle control in that midfield. He needs to sharpen his passing skills. In our front line, I just hope we dump havertz, he has failed his audition to show us his usefulness to this team. I couldn't pick out any outstanding ability from him throughout this sweet run of games we've had him at top9. If it's for the "fluidity",they say he brings, Werner does that much better and his pace will be a threat to man-u's defence all through which is an added bonus to whatever reason we have for considering havertz. Not to talk of him coming off his goal few days ago, such a confidence booster. I certainly hope we win man-u. It looks good for us on paper, but I will not lie, I feel a bit apprehensive. They are still a team that have brilliant individual players that could change the game at any moment. But the kind confidence we've garnered over the last few months can't be over exaggerated. We really look like world beaters now. I hope we smash them tomorrow. |
Kantebets:Abeg ehh, who bought Alonso? |
A001:HA tunnel plus. But I think it works best for GLO network. If you use it for other networks, pictures and videos on Twitter doesn't load. Just my observation Sha. |
Hmm. This is our most dangerous period in the last 5 seasons. The next 7 matches will determine if we are serious about winning the league this season or not. Last season under lampard, after 12 games, we had conceded only 7 goals and were top of the table only for it to go downhill pretty fast. We really need to show consistency in the next few games
|
Hmm, chiesa has just started following Chelsea FC and our key players on Instagram. Is he really sending a message to us? Does this mean this chiesa rumour to Chelsea is true? I don't even rate the guy that much Sha, his numbers are paltry.
|
Ibime, take a look at this thread. I think it helps in further elucidating jorginho's role in our team and tuchels system. https://twitter.com/CarefreeTactics/status/1464180977509580815?t=R04C8fQMHITHiA3ox1HIgQ&s=19 |
OJURONGBE1:I did say his defensive side will need fine-tuning. I totally see tuchel using him there. I mean Thomas has used Hudson and pulisic as RWB, I won't be surprised if he used ziyech there. |
popizaino:But Jorginho does this too. Off the top of my head, I remember him giving this kind of pass to chillwell at Leicester in the opening stages which hut the bar and also spotting odoi's run and passing to him which bonnuchi had to clear off against juve. Of course xavi was an excellent player but he was also developing his game as he gained more experience. Jorginho has shown that he's an excellent passer of the ball, the best in our team sef. He's only going to get better. |
Our injury casualty list is becoming worrisome this season. From pulisic earlier in the season to kante to Alonso to havertz, mount, kovacic, Werner, Lukaku, now kante again and chillwell. We can't just catch a break. Is it possible the training is more intensive than what the players have experienced before? Past seasons, we are usually lucky with injuries why has this changed when we are indeed looking like very serious world beaters? I hope this ends soon |
drisham:Alonso has this tendency to fade in the last minutes of the game. I'm also having doubts as to his contribution to our high pressing and intensity over a long period of time. Although, it has to be said that he is a better goal threat than chillwell and gives a slight advantage in our Ariel duels but overall I would prefer Ben. I'm actually thinking ziyech can do a good work for us as a LWB. His defensive side may need fine-tuning but he can always supply dangerous crosses from the left which is usually what he excels at doing. He has good mobility and linkup play. Let's just see as this goes. My main focus na for us to trash Manu on next tomorrow. We have to give them that 15 point gap. ![]() |
I'm hoping this chillwell rumor of an ACL tear is not true. That will just be plain sad. |
Karleb:Are you ready to give poch at least 2 years of patience he needs to groom his squad?? Coaches like poch need time to implement their pattern and this moulding time takes time and might not translate into trophy imminently. Chelsea had that problem with Sarri. If you want coaches that bring instant success. Conte was your best bet. Zidane might be the next best bet. |
LostMyZeal:You don dey fear abi?? Nice one. ![]() Better comot hope for that match. It's done and dusted. Chelsea go sama una. It's not a question of winning Chelsea. Na to score first be the wahala. Whether you like it or not, you are going to be 15 points behind the league leaders by Sunday. |
Ibime:You keep saying this "eye test", eye test. Surely you realize that this is entirely subjective. A partially blind man would see things differently from someone with clear eyes. I've pointed out that you're still viewing football with the mentality of 90's football. Moreso, Your negative bias has completely clouded your sense of judgement towards jorginho creating a very partial review of the player. Every single mistake magnified and highlighted, while the good contributions are impact and overlooked and brushed aside. One thing is certain, there is no way you would convince the world that a European best player of the year is subpar. That's just balderdash. No one will take you serious. When you look at the previous winners and the pedigree of the award, you just can't say a flop won the award. You'll be arguing with yourself. |
Your type of stubborness is toxic. Whenever we criticize players, we do so in the hope that they get better and this benefits the team overall. It takes a matured mind to acknowledge that that growth has taken place, that those fears we might have had have been allayed and the player has evolved but you will have old stubborn ones dig in and bury their heads in sand criticizing and criticizing till the end of their days because they just can't come to believe that they may have slightly over judged the player. Such a shame.

even your stats sheet, shows mount as the worst player but agenda wouldn't allow you to see it
