This is well researched. Are you a teacher? pre-primary, posts-primary, O' or A'-level or a lecturer.
I am a graduate of Human Kinetics and will be rounding up my masters program at the University of Ibadan soon. I was teaching before I left for my masters program though.

1. Evaluation is the process of making judgments about what is being measured. That is, using it to form a judgement for decision making. It's of two types viz: formative and summative. The former is used to get a base of information before the commencement of an instructional process. That is, residual knowledge. The latter comes at the end of educational process. That is, after the end of overall teaching of the contents. It is used for certification.

2. The values of multimedia are to promote better understanding, stimulate interest in students, add variety to teaching and promote intellectual curiosity. Therefore, multimedia though expensive can be used through:
a. Visual aids which appeals to the sense of sight. e.g filmstrips/slides.
b. Audio aids which appeals to the ear. That is hearing. E.g Public address system, tape recorder, microphone.
c. Audio Visuals appeals to both sight and the ears. E.g videotape, films, projectors.

3. Techniques to keep students involved are:
a. Discussion method: used to introduce a lesson to motivate students.
b. Role play method: dramatize experience.
c. Questioning method: helps to know level of students' comprehension.
Others are brainstorming, buzz groups and debates.

4. The word test is very broad because we have so many tests.Test is a trial or examination used to find out value of anything. Mostly used in schools is the knowledge test for guidance (instructional and administrative).
However a test must not be too hard nor too easy for students. It must be valid. That is the test must measure accurately whatever the teacher intends to measure. E.g SSCE for SSS3 students is valid but the same exam for JSS3 is not valid. Also the test must be reliable.
Therefore for mass failure to occur the following must have happened;
a. Use of ambiguous words.
b. Wrong time of administering the test. E.g carrying out a test close to children's break period or when its past concentration time.
c. Poor instructional methods
d. Poor arrangement of items.
e. Test is not in correlation to the testee.

5. The teacher should be an embodiment of those qualities he wants to see in his students because students are good immitators. These qualities are so many but I am going to list a few of them. Thus, the teacher should be;
a. Sincere
b. Patient
c. Industrious
d. Punctual to his/her duties
e. Maintain high level of dignity and integrity
f. Neat and of good behaviors.
e. Show courtesy and humor without being unduly familiar.

These are based on my own personal opinion and what I have learnt. I didn't dwell on the behavioral management because it is different with individuals and situations. I believe it also falls under personal qualities. What works for Mr A may not necessarily work for Mr C.
More contributions are welcomed.

LaurelP:

1) Evaluation is very essential in the field of teaching. It allows a teacher to know if he/she has achieved the goal he set out to achieve in that particular lesson and if the students really comprehend or whether he's been making noise all along. No matter your subject or class, there is need for a kind of evaluation or feedback mechanism.

2)Behavioral management depends on the teacher and students. What works on one student may not work on another. For me I make sure to avoid a situation where students will begin to behave abnormally. I relate with my students well, I advise them, I know their parents/guardians. These makes them see me as more of an uncle than a teacher.

3)Teaching with multimedia has to do with the use of electronic gadgets such as projector, computer, TV/video etc. Its actually fun and less stressful than the common blackboard/chalk method.

4) Asking a lot of questions, getting them to solve problem in the course of teaching, classwork, using humor appropriately which catches their attention, using familiar examples around them, stories etc.

5) Try to find out why they actually failed the test, what part of the question did they not understand, the failure trend. Treat those parts in class, ask the students that passed to explain to the class, give another test and evaluate.

6)Disciplined, humility, confidence, knowledgeable, approachable, trustworthy etc.
superb opinion. Thumbs up cool

1. No idea.
2. Be mindful of your behaviour towards class situations... Be attentive... Challenge them to compose class rules... Understand students' reason for misbehaviour.. Establish clear rules..
3. Use of CD-ROMs.. Videos.. Slideshows.. Blogs..
4. Give them praticals about the subject to work on,it develops their interest... Make explanations clear, talk slowly... Have a good sense of humor...
5. Failed students should write essay on topic failed for extra mark... Teacher should try different teaching methods..
6. Professionalism.. Organized.. Respect.. Care.. Good communication skills..
#myopinion
nice one. The essence is for us to rub minds, I will surely drop my own opinion on the questions later in the day.

@Donmarshal11 let me try.
1. It is to ascertain if the student comprehends the topic properly.
2. I do not know about this.
3. I have not taught with it before but I do not think it different from whiteboard the only difference is the introduction of gadgets such as laptop, projector e.t.c
4. Constantly asking them questions, classwork and assignments
5. I will look at the questions I have given to understand if indeed they understood the questions I asked in the test and ask the affected students reasons for their inability to answer the questions and further explain how to answer such questions.
6. Discipline, committed, dedicated, sympathetic, tolerance and understanding.
nice try but its alot more than those answers you gave.

Politics / Pdp Dares Amaechi: Come And Defend Yourself!! by Donmarshal11: 1:13pm On Aug 07, 2015
Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Rivers State chapter, Chief Felix Obuah, has dared the former governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, to come clean on the allegation of financial embezzlement leveled against him.

He also told Amaechi to stop hiding under the cover of President Muhammadu Buhari, to make crude statements against the former president, Dr Goodluck Jonathan and the Rivers State governor, Chief Nyesom Wike.

Obuah, who spoke through his media aide, Mr. Jerry Needam, said Amaechi’s administration engaged in fraudulent acts while in power.

The state PDP boss said it would be foolhardy, for any responsible government, not to take what he called, “the mind-blowing fraudulent charges” from both local and international scenes seriously.

Obuah, therefore, appealed to President Buhari, not to shield Amaechi but to encourage him to defend himself in the allegations made against him, “if his anti corruption crusade is genuine, and not targeted at perceived political enemies.”

The Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Rivers State chapter, Mr. Chris Fynebone, had also claimed that Governor Wike-led administration was stopping at nothing to blackmail the former governor and to destroy his legacies.

A friend of mine that attended Chrisland recruitment test for class educators on Wednesday briefed me on the questions asked so I would like to share the ones he told me and listen to your contributions in order for others to learn from.
He said they were asked to answer 5 out of 7 but the following are the ones he could remember.

1. How do you justify the inclusion of Evaluation in your subject area.

2. How have you handled behavioral management with examples.

3. How do you teach with multimedia?

4. How do you keep your students involved in your lesson?

5. If 50% failed a test what are you going to do.

6. What are the qualities pupils expects from their teachers?

Jobs/Vacancies / 10 Tips To A Successful Skype Interview. by Donmarshal11: 2:07pm On Jul 28, 2015
Hello Nlders, recently I was invited for a Skype interview by one technology oriented coy. Prior to that time, I had no experience on how to go about it. I googled and I got some points I would like to share and also peeps that have one or two tips to add should do so for the benefit of everyone since some coys are now conducting interviews online.

1. LOOK INTO THE CAMERA
During Skype interviews, some people fixate on themselves on the computer screen. This gives the impression that the candidate is not making eye contact with the interviewer on the other end. When an interview starts, take a moment to make sure you look fine on the screen, then focus on looking into the camera.

2. GET RID OF DISTRACTIONS
Make sure that [you're] the only living object in view. Maybe you're 27 and living with your parents, but the person interviewing you doesn't need to know that. Let the people in your life know what's happening, and insist they stay at the opposite side of the house/apartment. If you have kids, it would be helpful to have a babysitter come to make sure there is no crying during the Skype session. And pets should also be out of view.

3.PUT YOUR HANDS WHERE IT CAN BE SEEN
Make sure that the camera on your computer gives a good shot of your head and shoulders, as well as of your hands. Remember that a good portion of understanding comes from body language and other non-verbal cues, so you want to make sure that the upper half of your body is showing.

4.DRESS FOR SUCCESS
It may seem like a good idea to wear a dressy top, and shorts below where you think the camera might not see it. But you might be surprised how wardrobe malfunctions can happen. Dress the part 100 percent... just like you are going into a real interview, which this is!

5.AVOID TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES
It is of utmost importance to ensure that your internet connection works properly during a Skype interview. It is difficult to have a discussion if the interviewer is unable to hear you due to technological difficulties and interruptions. The impression will be that you are unreliable.

6. SOUND STRONG
Clarity is very important. For heaven's sakes, buy a USB connected headset because the microphone jack usually provides a suboptimal experience.

7.SLOW IT DOWN
It can be easier to talk over people on a Skype call so wait for the interviewer to stop speaking before you answer. This also gives you a few seconds to think about what you want to say before you speak.

8.KNOW PROPER WEBCAM ETIQUETTE
Do not sit too close to the camera. Sit up straight-posture goes a long way. Look at the camera. When you look directly at the camera, it appears to the interviewer that you are looking directly at them/making eye contact. Also, Sitting forward and leaning toward the camera so you become a talking head, just like on TV. This is the best way for employers to read your facial expression, which can add a great deal of meaning to your words.

9.BE ENTHUSIASTIC
Skype interviews tend to dampen one's personality so make an effort to smile and act like your pleasant self as much as possible.

10.GET A PROPER HANDLE ON IT
Whether it's Skype, an instant-messaging client, or another videoconferencing app, you likely have a user name or "handle" that you sign in with. Make sure it's not something like beerlover2011 or casanova4u. As with your email account, choose something professional -- if you can't use just your name because it's already taken, try your name combined with your industry. For example (seun_nairaland) wink
