TAO11: Who is this dullard?
No you’re not that dull. You’re only pretending like you are, so I can soften the punishment. Or are you? —————
Your “best” igbo structure (captured by photo in 1973) was of course constructed before 1973, duh.
And our “best” Yoruba structure (captured by photo in 1948-9) was of course constructed before 1948.
You are only depressed that at an era when we were already flying, your people were still crawling.
Liars may photograph, but these photographs do not lie. Or do they? LMAO!
Get a grip. Sigh You brought out this poorly comprehended comparison and yet you still maintain your stance as being smart? Rather than basking in ignorance I would prefer you accept your wrongs and then we move on from there. Sheesh! |

So, we must pretend that the Yoruba structure below was constructed on the day of the photograph?
I should not have to dumb it down further for you. Or do I?
Stop disgracing Ndi-Igbos online.
Cheers Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! So you knew your comparison was non factual and illogical, And yet you still went along with it?.....

Detuner: Stop deceiving people. Those are (temporary) made shift huts made by nomadic dwellers. You cant show what a real ancient city in the Sahel looks like, lest it hurts your ego. Do you really wanna compare Igbo cities/civilization with Ancient cities or civilization of the the Sahel?
Here are some: BTW the 3rd photo is a museum display of a full 16th century battle regalia of Empire of Bornu (Sahel) Cavalry Soldier. Do Igbo civilization has anything remarkable close to that Perhaps you guys had aesthetic buildings then... But what I see here are Arab influenced murals Next time do bring something more indigenous to your people. We also would like to learn. |

1st attachment :—‘Best’ Igbo structure from the late-1900s (as proudly posted by one of your chanpions). • • • 2nd attachment: ‘Best’ Yoruba structure from the early-1900s (as proudly posted by me when one of your own ‘unjustifiably’ brought Yorùbá into the mix).

eduj: It's Igbo not iboe ,unless you want your tribe to be called uroba instead of Yoruba ?
Women weren't treated like chattels in ancient Igbo custom . Yes women couldn't inherit there father's property because once married, they became a member of there husband's family. In ancient Igbo times , each married woman had a hut and a piece of land which was her's till death. We also had the council of umuadas (first daughters). They also had important roles to play in community decision making. In those days, a man who throws away the pot of his wife or her cooking tools had commited an abomination of such a propotion that he will make appeasement to the gods of the land.
Osus are people dedicated to the gods .They took care of deities and it's shrines, they ate offerings, sacrifices, money ,livestock's and even farmed large parcels of lands that came with the shrines. They where they only people who could do such. They also couldn't be killed by anyone no matter the offence they commit (actually that's how many people became osu's). A man who commits murder and is being sought-after for revenge can rush into a shrine, dedicate himself to the deity and he gains absolution from his crime. The OSU can take anything he wants from anyone in the name of the gods. The osu only became unpopular with the advent of Christianity.
Even at that, the biggest tribes of the Igbo ethnic group (the Ngwa) had nothing like OSU,many Igbo tribes had no practice like it .
So yes, infact the igbo's where egalitarian to the extent mortal societies can be.
And money played no role in ancient Igbo society. The wealth of an Igbo man was measured through the content of his yam barns, the hits of his wife's and the number of his children. interesting |

Amah70: In Owerri, landlords and tenants refuse to pay for refuse disposal.
They expect Imo state government to use funds that should have served for development infrastructures in Okigwe and Orlu zones, to fund refuse disposal in Owerri.
Of course, some inept governors do the wishes of the Owerri landlords.
But truth is that in every saner society, landlords and tenants pay for dispossl of refuse they generated. They have made Imo to become a state with a single city. It's really sad I must say Pls do you know of any solutions attainable? Please kindly share |
