Teensway: For where? I'm a confirm atheist o. I left christianity at a young age. Before then, i was a guru in the bible that even the pastor doffs his hat for me. My friends and family were proud of me, they all called me pastor. I read different christian books, prayed in tongues, preached on the altar but everything changed. I read and understood too much of the bible and i became an atheist. 90% of those that are atheist understood the bible too much. Use your brain to understand your bible, then you will be free. You can't understand the bible and still be a christian, NEVER!!! Haters/Repent Crew, stay off! The bolded is your problem, you do not understand scripture with your brain. You are to believe with your heart. -Romans 10:10 Unfortunately, its unlikely that there's still hope for your repentance. Heb 6:4-6 For [it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put [him] to an open shame.

realmindz: Another theory.
That a first earth existed and was destroyed.
From this thread, I've had Christians insist the earth is 6000 years And I've had Christians say that the age of earth was never mentioned. Then the 3rd category, that a first earth existed....
Now let me ask you. I thought the sin of Adam and Eve brought death to the world, how come the first earth tasted destruction.... Is Yahweh not perfect? why are his works getting destroyed?? is destruction the only solution the wisest of all knows?? What is the point of keeping something that has been corrupted? When the time comes, it has to be destroyed since it is useless. If God can let you go on with your blasphemy on NL, why are you surprised that he let Lucifer lead a rebellion many years ago, before Adam? Lucifer was the covering cherub in charge of that old earth [Ezekiel 28:14]. He rebelled against God and brought about corruption in the earth, leading to the destruction of that old world. Isaiah 14:12-15 |

realmindz Man has been on earth for 6000 years since Adam but there was an earth before Adam, which was destroyed. According to Isaiah 24:1, the earth was turned upside down. That's how we came about petroleum. Between Gen 1:1 and Gen 1:2 is a very long period of time, perhaps thousands or even millions of years. So if your aim is to put Christians off balance with this thread, you have failed. You can check out a thread where this issue was discussed extensively... AMBROSE ALLI UNIVERSITY.........(Unknown)
All these UNIVERSITIES were built from TITHES and OFFERINGS of the common people who now can't afford to send their children to these schools today.
Where is the morals and responsibilities of the churches as charity in Nigeria?
What is the difference between church and political leadership in Nigeria?
These schools were all built with the sweats of their church members who kept sowing seeds like: -special offering seeds -first fruit seed, -redemption seed, -thanksgiving seed, -harvest seed, -tithes, -pastor's seed, -church building seed, -evangelism seed, -father's day seed, -mother's day seed, -children' day seed, -Pastor's cake seed, -olive oil seed....etc.
These schools are now elite schools, only for the rich politician children.
The gainers then use the profits to buy private planes & jets to fly up high in luxury, ride Exotic Cars and live in expensive Mansions, while their members, (who are mostly the least of Jesus people) sleep hungry.
The next Sunday, they will read Malachi 3:6-12 to these members again without making reference to Deuteronomy 14:22-29 about their own responsibility to these poor members in their churches.
If you think this is unfair, like me, please pass on this message because this is reality and we also need the CHANGE here!!!
Thank God for early missionaries who built schools and gave basic education FREE or NEAR FREE to many of us including the CURRENT LEADERSHIP of these churches and universities.

Ogalanyachieze: Let me lay down some basics for you 1 how many branches do they have per states in nigeria? My dear, you still dey learn when it comes to discussions such as these. One church can have 100 branches with 100 members each equalling 10,000. Whereas you have another church with 2 branches and each having 15000 members each. Which church is bigger? So its not by many branches. Even at that, did you say you're familiar with PH? Do you know how many CE branches there are in PH? Last 31st December, Just one of the several Christ Embassy zones in PH packed out the liberation stadium in PH with several other CE zones holding large meetings within the same city on the same day. And this was not a crusade, just an ordinary service. Let me not even talk about Lagos, Warri, Benin, Abuja etc. Ogalanyachieze: 2 How many services do they conduct? If a 2 thousand member church use a 200 capacity building, will they not have to conduct 10 services? Ogalanyachieze: 3 how about its cell meetings in the neighbourhood. My dear dont even go there because another name for Christ Embassy is cell meeting. Ogalanyachieze: In most states i've been they Scarcely have more than a single branch with only one service and one pastor. You lie... what states? Ogalanyachieze: Pls dont confuse popularity with largeness. Yes Christ Embassy is popular, influential and large, deal with it. Ogalanyachieze: Salvation ministries is quite popular in ph but its not a very large church. So which are the large churches in PH? Ogalanyachieze: Pls be kind enough to compare CE To deeper life, redeem, anglican baptist methodist, catholic etc. Yes I have and CE stands tall among them. Ogalanyachieze: Dont further confuse tele-evangelism with grassroots. (Emphasis mine) Abeg go rest, CE is everywhere... we are at the grassroots, innercities, markets, villages, prisons, police stations, schools, everywhere! By the way, the largeness of a ministry is not even in the number of members but actually in the extent of the influence of their message and wrt CE, its beyond your imagination I tell you. Feed your eyes... |

Rosskii: Selective altruism. You care more about one forumer's use of a certain word than the entire thrust of the thread. Where is your outrage over the whitewashing of African history by your foreign friends? The many atrocities committed by them? All you've done here is praise them and insult Africans. YOU are an advocate of white supremacy, whether you use the world or not. FAR MORE than that guy is an advocate of black supremacy. Your words throughout this debate bury you. Your racist attacks on Africans show you up as an apologist for white racists. Your seeking to divide blacks into ''sub Saharan' and ''non-sub Saharan;' is classic white racist divide and rule, and an attempt to separate black Africans from their mighty Egyptian heritage. A racist philiosophy that presupposes that Hamitic Aricans are somehow more intelligent than ''sub Saharan'' Africans. We know all that stuff and where it comes from. It comes from discredited 19th century white racist philosophies relating to the so called Hamitic Hypothesis. So I know where you are coming from, and the racist, white supremacist ideology you are trying to promote here.
That is why you flew off your handle when a ''sub-Saharan'' African, the ''lowest'' on your wretched racist ladder, dared to utter the word 'supremacy' over white people. Nonsense. If the guy is advocating a black supremacist ideology, he certainly has more of a right to do so than anyone else considering the grossly brutal experience Africans have been subjected to by their ''brothers'' in white and yellow skin across the world.
Allied to that is their penchant for falsifying history to place Africans as the world's ''non achievers'' DESPITE what the history says. So I'm not angry at the brother for suggesting a black supremacist ideology to counter the tide of anti-Africanism. He may not be 100% right, but he sure has every right to suggest his way forward without you flying off your handle.. What's up with my mention? |

jiggaz: I perfectly understand you my bro. But in this context, Paul Ellis is talking about Believers in Christ. He is saying that we have nothing to fear on Judgement day because of what Christ did for us on the Cross...
Of course the day of the Lord will be terrible and a day of terror to unbelievers, but we believers have nothing to fear cos "therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" ..... I understood you perfectly, you are talking about the day of the Lord in respect to Unbelievers while Paul Ellis was talking about the day of the Lord in respect to Believers. Have a great day my bro. Same to you bro... God bless. |
