No Peace for any Terrorist. How can someone make his life ambition, the extermination of a certain people just because they differ in race and religion? Anyone that feels some people should not exist shouldn't also have the right to life. Kudos to the IDF but they should pls work on reducing civilian casualties; it's too much.

This is the same treatment the terrorists in Nigeria should have received but some people claim ownership of these terrorists privately but come out openly the pretend otherwise. Interestingly, they form the majority. Examples are Buhari, Elrufai and Bala Mohammed

I wish to start my PhD application soonest. Pls...

1. when we talk of Cost of Attendance (COA) at a US university here, does it mean total for a four year program (PhD) or just per annum.

2. From Canadian thread, I c that even though IRCC says 1yr tuition and 1yr living expenses, visa officers seem to always deny those that can't show complete cost for entire length of program.
Are US visa officers also interested in one showing funds for the entire length of program (which may reach almost a 100mill in my case) or they focus on 1yr?

It’s been a while I posted here. I wanted to share that I have a GRE voucher I’d like to gift someone. Reach out and let me know why I should give it to you and it’s all yours. Good luck

I'm interested pls. Want to apply for PhD but with the burden of WES and the likelihood of applying 3 schools, I will really appreciate that voucher. Thanks

Same beats all the time. Like some of his songs but I don't like the almost zero creativity. I will pick Fireboy over this guy most times. Though it's not just him, almost all the afrobeats songs are beginning to sound the same.

Don't have any idea on crypto. Can you please throw more insight I'll appreciate. Fixing of computers and stuffs right ?

I have over 6yrs knowledge on Crypto and I've lost quite a lot before building a functional strategy that works for me. May not be so easy for you to jump in else u can get burnt. It's better u use like 100k to trade as u learn and I advice you stick to Binance if you decide to go the crypto path. Don't follow useless money doublers or some mumu platforms like mtfe and octa. Trade urself

For computers, people can get solutions for software issues but hardware is main challenge so they will need someone for maintenance. I want to assume u are quite proficient in how the computer works for you to do maintenance. If you have basic background on few computer hardwares, learning to assemble and disassemble a desktop should be a one week thing (as per crash intensive course). Next na laptop and software operations. Get the basics here, go do certificate or diploma there. Best wishes

How can one invest in crypto. i don't mind if you show me way grin grin grin i want learn as i like softwork.

Crypto is risky but if you trade smartly, and are disciplined, you will be fine. Most times, losses are incurred out of greed and lack of strategy. My current strategy is to trade with what I call, "hit and run". In this strategy, u get to trade just 4 to 5 times a month with a target of 8-15% per trade. With huge capital, say 3m to 10m. You won't need to "kill" yourself working in Canada. A capital of N10m will give u N2m in just two 10% trades and that's like CAD3,500 a month. That's enough for a month if you like. U can hardly get that working as a student. That's my current strategy (though my capital is not so huge) and it works 95% of the times. I trade only on Binance and I pursue a mix of low cap coins and mid level ones especially at weekends when market is likely"down". My challenge is I keep eating into the capital so it's not easy. I am planning my way to Canada and I know I won't eat up my POF just like that. E go work for me.

Good evening,
Please we need help. Though this is something we should have done since we started nurturing the idea of travelling to Canada. But we admit we made such a mistake of not preparing ourselves well and bracing up for whatever life has in store for us in Canada.
My wife applied for study permit and I applied for SOWP. And to the glory of God we have our passports stamped already.
But reality is beginning to dawn on me as the head of the family. This are our challenges.
As a family man I have no skills. The only skill I think I have is car driving. Because I enjoy driving a lot.
My wife too has no skills or any form of handiwork. So we're both confused on the right direction to go on this japa matters.
Part of the challenges I have is , I'm Hypertensive at a very young age of 35yrs. So I might be limited to choice of jobs.
Though we've paid full tuition for her 1yr program. So we don't have much pressure on the tuition fees. Since her program is just 8months program.
We'll appreciate ideas and advice on how to scale through life in Canada.

If u know crypto, that may be ur best shot coz of ur health. If u are quite technical with ur hands, would advise u do a 3weeks crash course on computer maintenance and learn more when u get there. U will be fine.

I
I attached her recommendation letter, and the application form and all supporting documents was proofread by my supervisor before the submission because he thought may be I made mistake in the first application.

The program is fully funded by an institution in Canada. I have above $26,000 CAD for the first academic year and my tuition fee is $12,648 CAD for the first academic year. The scholarship is guaranteed for 2 years. The program duration is minimum of 1 year and maximum of 4 years. My plan was to finish by the first quarter of the second year, that's within 15months and use the second quarter to prepare for my comprehensive exam so that I will start my PhD latest by fall term of the second year of my studies. I made the above calculation based on the program timetable.

Please, I need advise on what to do. My email is nguyenjohnson115@gmail.com in case you prefer to send me mail.

Thanks.

If it were me, I won't include a PHd plan in the study. You would have left it at just MSc. Already, it seems the officer understands that you may want to pursue PHd which means after your original MSc, u have no plans of returning. Well, if u won't be returning, how will u fund the PhD without having to work in Canada? Don't forget they know u can get PGWP after ur MSc. Everything seems to suggest u ain't coming back I guess.

Greetings people,
Please I need an advise on this.
I'm applying for a masters degree program course based at uni.calgary, the course requirements states that your last two years study cgpa at minimum of 3.0 can be used.
Now, I used the school excel calculations sheet sent to me which I enter my results and it is 9.05 cgpa

My concern now is that, I have 2.2(2.75) when I calculate the 4yrs study results. But I used their sheet to calculate the last two years study results I'm seeing 9.05( I think it's Indian 10 grading scale) and if calculated into 4.0 grading scale, I have 3.62cgpa.
Should go ahead to apply or send a mail to them first. Thanks for the reply in advance

I think you should send a mail to the graduate Chair of the department. However, your 2.75 may place around 2.3 on the 4pt scale. I think you can use WES free assessment tool to try to convert your scores.
Properties / Re: What’s The Difference Between Aluminum Step Tiles And Metro Copo? by donpata(m): 12:12pm On Sep 16, 2023
Technically, they are both step tiles. Metcoppo is finer sha as the steps are more elaborate. I prefer it. But from experience, if it's not stone coated, it's better you use long span. Else, leakage go kill u with all these Chinese sheets. The process of creating those steps is easy recipe for holes in the roof. Metcoppo and steptiles are good if u are using "China" 0.7 or Tower's (Queensway) 0.5 which is very expensive. This is my personal experience, I'm not an installer.

Hmmm! Only in Nigeria banks will hold your money and not resolve issues timely without fear of lawsuit. Have u reported to CBN? Search for their Complaint mail and msg them. If they don't act, get a lawyer u are close to and agree that he sues and claim damages. Tell him payment will be when successful. That way, u ensure u don't lose money in trying to get back ur money.

Foreign Affairs / Re: France, US back ECOWAS Resolutions on Niger Republic by donpata(m): 6:32am On Aug 11, 2023
It's very funny how you see that it's mostly citizens of poor African nations and other third world countries that tend to support the coup or condemn USA nd France. Similar anti-west sentiments have been exhibited when Russia decided to invade Ukraine. Honestly for me, if not for fear of what may happen to the Nigerien president, I support ECOWAS even if na Military action.

How can a continent so blessed as ours be so backward? It's cycles of poor leadership. These interruptions of the people's will doesn't allow for progress, it's retrogressive and the quicker we appreciate that, the better for us all. Imagine where we would be if Obj had succeeded in his third term bid - maybe he would be the president and we will be wired to think it's ok to manipulate the constitution and stay in power. That's what's happening when u see people out on the street supporting the coup in their country. They have been wired to think that interruptions are ok.

Truth is, no matter what, democracy will always remain the best style of governance. That's what the most progressive nations in the world practice and the earlier other Africans realize this, the better. Imagine Still having Buhari as President just cos he could force himself to remain.

Christians, "minute" minority in this Kaduna wey I dey? U are a joker. That Christians care less about politics and Muslims take it as a "religion" should not be a yardstick for calling Christians minority. U are comparing Plateau state which is almost 80% Christian and Kaduna that is almost 50/50. The Taraba u are talking about, is a Muslim not given Deputy? Christians dominate 10Lgas out of 23 and share another at 50/50. How many LGAs do Muslims dominate on the Plateau? Better go check your facts. By the way, this kind of ideology is what has kept Africa backward. By your own assertion, it was wrong for Obama to have ruled USA or for Sunak to be the current PM

How many xtain do you have in all the 10 Lgas you claimed that they dominate? Here in Goni gora kaduna we have a jumat mosque... Please how many churches do you have in Rigasa? and the rest.... Mr Man you don't know Kaduna.

U have a Jumaat mosque in Gonin gora so what? Is there any Muslim in Gonin Gora? Muslim pray five times a day and they build mosque anywhere they are go for trading. The fact that there are more mosque in Christian areas and little to no church in Muslim areas speaks volumes. There are mosques in Sabo, maraban rido, narayi, Gonin gora yet no single Muslim resides there. They only come for daily trades

The fact you even think that's a basis for population shows how dumb u are. Uve never gone to these Christian dominated LGAs except for what your Mallam tells u. I've chriscrossed the state and I tell u that the day Christians in kaduna start taking politics as serious as Muslims, kiss the seat of governor goodbye.

Is that how it is done in plateau and taraba which happens to be in the north but a muslim hardly gets a chairman position. You christians, your sense of entitlement. the Dss will surely clear him. the christians are using it to lie against him. and hopely he gets the minister of defence

Most explanations I see only consider Masters of two years. A PhD is four years. Pls I got this questions;

1. For a PHd without funding, is showing two years tuition and one year living expenses sufficient?

2. Is the fact that my wife and 3kids are remaining in Nigeria and a study leave with pay from my employer enough to proof home ties?

3. After two yrs of study, can my wife join me and still get open work permit?

4. If my salary is less than 200k, must I explain the source of over 12mill in opening balance. (No any lumpsum within the 4months bank statement)

While in UK, you can do side jobs to gather some cash. u can easily save 200k from your side jobs in UK after expenses. In naija, that's what you will use for expenses. What's the guarantee that that company's offer will remain over the course of time? No be govt job wey get guarantee ohh.
