That being said I think this your rather compact and compressed preparation timeline should carry a parental guidance warning or something; except you are exceptionally brilliant hopefully like the poster or have an unmatched flair for languages 4-6 months is grossly insufficient to learn, master and pass a French proficiency exam. Here's my advice...

You should budget at least a year if you are able to commit to full-time, intensive study or around 2 years if you're unable to. For example if you're starting from the scratch at Alliance Francaise intensive classes that is 3hrs every Mon-Fri (8:30 - 11:30) or (11:45 - 2:45). You will spend 2 months in A1 , 2 months in A2, 3 Months in B1, 4 months in B2. That's already like a year plus another 3 months at least for preparation.

Nope! Proof of funds includes your school fees balance and 1yr living expenses. Immigration surcharge is paid as part of processing and visa fees is also separate. Just like ur plane ticket too.

I don't think it's disliked. Just that there ain't a lot of people garnishing it and bringing it here on social media

In this same Naija, u can get cars even at 1m. It's easy if you deal with direct user. Imagine getting a car with good body and interior but weak engine. Buy 600k engine and put and use the remaining do finishing touches, except of coz, if u don't like stress. Even cars that are direct Belgium sometimes need some touches. For 406, budget between 1.4m to 2.3m if u are in the north especially Kaduna, Jos or Abuja, depending on how good it is. For me, body is the main thing cos engine can always be replaced. Apart from physical contacts, try use Facebook marketplace and filter the prices. It's a great place to start. Don't use jiji, their prices are crazy.

That's what I suggested to op. Crv is his best shot especially 1999 to 2002. I too dey hope to get crv soon. If he talks to the right person, he can get for like 1.5m sef. Do a few fixes and manage life. Peugeot 406 or 307 is another option. VW 2000 to 2005 as well.

What facts are presented? People are entitled to their opinion but that doesn't take away the fact that it is mediocre thinking to allow importation in what you have high comparative advantage and in a system that employs over 50% of your population. This is basic economics. Is it the masses that brought insecurity? I don't even understand your point. Is it the farmers that are responsible for high cost of fertilizers and other inputs? Has tackling insecurity become rocket science? No one sabotaged Buhari. I'm from the north and I know how the insecurity evolved. Buhari was incompetent and had no TRUE WILL to tackle insecurity.

Because we are cursed with dumb leaders, we will continue to suffer. It is suicide to support importation against local production. Same thing is happening to maize production. Fertilizer is still very expensive and so are herbicides and pesticides. Rather than addressing these challenges for long term sustainable agricultural development, government is now taking the lazy man's way for temporary gains due to elections.

Even a newborn baby knows that the disastrous level of insecurity in the country especially in the north, is the major cause of high food prices since many farming communities have been displaced. Rather than address this terrible issue head-on, government has resorted to window dressing for temporary gains and more trouble later.

I see ignorant comments where people are blaming the farmers for not using the opportunity wisely. That line of argument is a consequence of zero knowledge of basic economics. The farmers are to a large extent, victims of the situation we find ourselves.

Hoarding is a crime, and most of our farmers lack the capacity to hold onto their produces longer than two to three months cos they simply sell and buy fertilizer and other farm inputs as well as household groceries. The hoarders are the corrupt politicians and biz people with warehouses, and with capacity to store these products for years. Again, rather than targeting these persons, the government is allowing more importation, the lazy-man solution.

The people benefiting from the agricultural value chain locally are large. All these drama will just make them jobless. I understand there is hunger in the land but government should take up the responsibility of tackling insecurity and dealing with their hoarder friends so that food can be cheap. Subsidy for farming inputs are also great. Afterall, the farmers in countries we are importing from are heavily subsidized by their govts. Y not we? Why kill local industry. BUNCH OF MEDIOCRES.

In Kaduna, it's 1350 per kg. That's 16,875 for 12.5kg. I believe it may be higher further north due to distance decay. Nigeria is a mess. Gas of less than 3k b4 ohh.

With video calls today and pounds and dollars flowing, who cares? If people are grown ups, it's really not an issue I think cos everyone still has his life. Even in Nigeria, some jobs take family members away from each other for months or even years. I understand it's easier to meet up when everyone is in Naija but with the way naija is, Japa that is done with great planning is worth it for those going and those remaining. Family relationships are also broken beyond repair even in Naija afterall.

I'm feeling let down and could use some guidance - any advice would be appreciated.
