Besides, a Prof. in an average Western University earns around N5m monthly without the stress Nigerian Lecturers have to go through. So, compare that with a Profs sub 500k total take home pay and see how low we are.

That said, this report is either a product of Mushroom, or malicious journalism. Ngige, in his vituperations claimed the lecturers jacked up their salaries by about 180%. No Prof currently earns up to N500k as total take home from CONUASS. How much is 180% of 500k? The actual amount will be slightly below 900k per month. How the olodo journalist got to 2M which is like 4.5times the current pay is quite funny.

I have just saved up some money to get a 32 inches LED TV and can only afford 60k (Jumia has Weyon, Amani, Infinity, Sonix and UFC)

Please I will appreciate a guide on what to look out for when buying as I am currently using a tokunbo LG LCD TV but decided to sell it out once I get the LED TV simply because it doesn't have the USB port to enable me watch movies or play music when I don't feel like subscribing to GOTV.

I will advise u go for a fairly/tokunbo used original 32inch led LG TV TV that is very clean than buy those piece of crap. Within 1yr, their screen fit packoff and I tell u, screen na im be TV.

Alternative, if usb is ur major need, 60k can get u a tokunbo 40-43inch original LG, Samsung, Panasonic etc LCD flat tv. Just that it won't be as flat as led and will consume slightly higher power than led.

Truth is, Buhari and the joint force of the APC govs is what will win APC the presidency and not who he picks as VP. Of coz, I'm not saying that the position of VP won't influence the vote kpatapata. But the truth is, if Buhari, A SITTING PRESIDENT from Northwest truly and honestly uses his cult followership, which is still very active even now, Tinubu will coast to victory even with a Christian VP. This is plus the commitment of the Northern Govs. Don't forget most of the core Northern states have been traditionally ANPP/APC and the electorates will largely do what their leaders ask from them.

For me who has been in Kaduna under the first Muslim-Muslim ticket, I can tell you it's bad omen for Christians especially those in the North. Apart from Tinubu that may bring in a few Christians, a Muslim Northern VP will expectedly surround himself with mostly those in his circle- Muslims. The nepotism u saw with Buhari especially with the service Chiefs and the consequent insecurity we are facing will be Child's play.

Lastly, Christians need to wake up especially those saying it doesn't matter. In fairness, will it be logical in Nigeria of today to have 8yrs of a Muslim leading, then another 8yrs of another Muslim (whether Atiku or Tinubu), likely followed by another 8yrs of a Northern Muslim President after Tinubu, yet deny Christians a VP slot? If u join hands with a likely Muslim Muslim ticket, u are agreeing that Northern Christians are 2nd class citizens who shouldn't be elected President, or Vice.

Glad students are waking up to the reality. Not everytime will blames be put on the government. Is strike not supposed to be the last resort ? No ASUU are always looking forward to the yearly strike and it isn't fair.

If I ask you what the issues are you obviously don't know. Students can protest for a year against ASUU members but that can't make schools resume. A day of protest against govt on the other hand is the likely solution to end this.
