So sorry that you don't know the difference between the Senate and House of Reps. The Senate put up a voice vote for the suggestion that he be invited and the nays had it. Dunno whether it was put up for a voice vote at the floor of the House (of Reps) though! So he wouldn't appear before the Senate because it ain't breached any section of the constitution. Only the overfed agbayas in the House are inviting him, which is dead on arrival.

Pastor Augustine Afolabi Adeniyi is the General Overseer of Christ Apostolic Church, Egbe, Ikotun, Lagos. He spoke to Sunday Vanguard on how he became a minister of God.

Establishing church seems to have become an all-comers affair. How did your own start?

Christ Apostolic Church, Myriad of Miracle was planted in 1986. And we started the second service on October 2, 1986. I have been in the ministry since 1967. I started as a member and I was ordained as an elder. While I was an elder, I was working in the Ministry of Federal Ministry of Commerce, former Ministry of Trade.

It wasn’t my wish to become a pastor. My intention was to travel abroad and you know…I had an encounter with the devil. It was a serious encounter. I visited so many hospitals. The last place was University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan and they could not cure the sickness. As a result of that, I went to a herbalist, they still couldn’t cure it until finally when somebody introduced me to CAC in 1967.

A sickness we could not cure for almost 16 years was cured within a week. It was a divine intervention.

How would you describe the healing experience?

When I got to the church (CAC), they prayed for me and asked me to go into a seven-day fasting. Since I had not been doing it, the day I started, my legs were shaking, my head was aching, my body was something else. Before I got to the place, for about 9 days, I couldn’t sleep, but the first day I fasted and they prayed for me, I was able to sleep. So I stayed in the mission, the fourth day of the fasting, in the afternoon, I dreamt that I saw an old man who came down to me and said: ‘My son, they told me about your plight I said, ‘Thank you, sir’ and he said: ‘Open your mouth’. I opened my mouth. It was around 1pm. As I opened my mouth, he put his hand into my mouth and removed a very big stone. I cried such that the people around heard and ran to me. They asked me what happened and changed my room. I slept again and saw the old man in another dream. He said, ‘My son, it remains only one thing’. I said, ‘What is the thing again as the first one was really painful? He said, ‘let me do this one’. He put his hand into my mouth again and removed a husk of maize, he removed it from my tummy. As he removed it, I cried and blood gushed out. People around came to me. When the pastor saw it, he said the work had been done, that it was the work of God. That’s how the sickness vanished and I became a strong believer in the power of God.

What is unique about this ministry?

We want to win souls for Christ, evangelise the whole world. And we are moving to every part of the country. All we need is God’s assistance and assistance from people. We also need finance to back it. You may have knowledge but you also need what it takes to carry it out, which includes prayer, finance, etc.

We are planters of Christ Apostolic Church; we are not the founder. Christ Apostolic Church started as far back as 1930. It started in Ilesa, Oke-Oye where the dead rose.

What is unique about the upcoming harvesting in the church?

In Christendom, there are two ways to harvest – physical and spiritual. We are doing the physical to tell people how the invisible one will be done and that is why we are practicalising it. Let everybody bring what he started doing right from the beginning. When you look at our country, we have rainy season and dry season. In the rainy season, you plant. When it is ripe, that is during the dry season which is approaching, everything will be ripe for harvesting and we as Christians follow it by what our Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 3 that there is time for everything. That is the reason this year people from all our branches will come together and do the harvest to tell the people that there will be a day that the whole world will be harvested based on whatever we have done. There is somebody awaiting us, to whom we would give account of what we have done. Then, the chaff shall be separated from the seed. The upcoming harvest will bring blessing by the grace of God.

What is your advice to Nigerian leaders?

All leaders should acknowledge and seek God first. All Christians must pray for the country to survive. Also, I’ve travelled and seen a lot. Our leaders should follow the example of the developed nations.

Even though a penis is controlled by the nervous system, it also has a mind of its own. Erections can occur at random due to some impulses firing from the brain during sleep and that is why most mornings, men experience 'morning glows'. The penis is turgid without a prior sexual arousal trigger. In fact, the penis does not need the man’s brain before it climaxes. It is basically the function of the penis than the brain of the man.

Orgasm actually starts with the spine; the signal to ejaculate is the result of muscle contractions in the spinal cord and pelvis, not the brain. But amazingly, simple things like having a rough day at work can lead to a man not gaining an erection for a week.

On average, adult penis typically measures between four and six inches when flaccid and six to nine inches when erect. So typically, most joysticks are created equal in almost all men. Human penis still weighs and looks bigger than that of other animals. Many men worry so much about the look of their penis but the truth of the matter is curves are common in penis.

The vast majority of joysticks lean ever so slightly to the left or right when erect (you are probably just too distracted to notice). However, some bend so dramatically (or curve up or down) that having sex is almost impossible. This is known as Peyronie’s Disease and it happens when the penis doesn’t expand evenly during a hard-on.

The structure of the penis does not help men to finish slowly; rather they are programmed to finish quickly. So wives, don’t take it personal. One of the purposes of intercourse for men is pleasure, then procreation. In fact, 85 per cent of men think of pleasure first before procreation while having sex.

Penile rupture is very real; it tends to happen mostly during vigorous sex and also overly enthusiastic solo action like masturbation. Most men who have experienced this unthinkable breakage always report hearing a cracking noise, followed by excruciating pain. It is always advisable to get treatment on time because an untreated fracture can lead to permanent erectile dysfunction (ED).

Penis size, thickness and shape are not genetic. joysticks are actually formed in uterus when the male hormones are in active service. joysticks have a ‘seam’ as all men have a line going down their penis and over their testicles. It’s more a ‘seam’ on the underside of the penis. It forms when the foetus is in the uterus. In women, the seam becomes the inner lips of the vagina. In men, the seam encloses the urethra along the length of the penis. joysticks contrast in colour to other body parts; joysticks are generally darker in colour than the bodies they hang from.

Why? It’s part of the sexual maturation process. Every penis experiences a degree of shrinkage on a daily basis, especially when it is very cold. In other words, cold weather and cold water are a penis’ mortal enemies. A typical testicles need to be warm to effectively make sperm and testosterone. So when you stay too long in a chilly air-condition room on a daily basis, try to take a ten minutes’ walk in a warm environment away from the cold. But there is no correlation between penis size and shoe size, hand size or wallet size.

And the worst exercise for the penis is masturbation. Masturbation is not healthy at all. Smoking isn’t just bad for your lungs; it is also bad for the penis. It’s no secret that smoking clogs the arteries, including those that fill the penis with blood, especially at the initial stage of ejaculation. This means the joysticks of smokers may have a harder time rising to its full potential at the occasion of sexual activities. Also, men will go limp if they drink too much.

Men really do get ‘blue-balls, technically called ‘prostatic congestion which is caused by ‘trapped’ blood in the testicles. It has been discovered that a lukewarm shower or aspirin will also do the trick. With a vasectomy, a man can still be a father because some sperm cell can still hang around, ready, willing and able to cause a woman to be pregnant two weeks post operation. So, it’s important to use some kind of protection until your family doctor says the coast is clear.

Please note that if an erection comes on and refuses to go away, this is not a miracle, but a medical emergency. This means that the blood flow that causes an erection doesn’t eventually leave the penis. Serious complications can result, like blood clots and some major damage.

Extension of Deadline For The Processing of Admissions by All Admitted Candidates For The 2013/2014 Academic Session Admission Exercise.

This is to inform all admitted candidates that the University Management has extended the deadline for the processing of admissions for 2013/2014 academic session.

The closing date for the exercise is now Tuesday, 31st December, 2013.

For the avoidance of doubt, any admitted candidate who fails to pay his/her acceptance fee and school fees on or before Tuesday, 31st December, 2013 will pay an additional penalty fee of N5,000.00 (five thousand Naira) only.

Furthermore, any admitted candidate who fails to pay his/her acceptance fee, school fees and N5, 000.00 (five thousand naira only) late penalty fee on or before Friday, 31st January, 2014 being the final deadline for the processing of all admissions into the University for the 2013/2014 academic session admission exercise, will be assumed to have forfeited his/her admission and will have his/her admission withdrawn.

All admitted candidates are to submit their files containing the following to the Faculty Officers at their various faculties:

a) Copy of their e-admission slip.

b) Copy of their clearance page and eligibility form.

c) Copy of their online generated Matriculation number page.

d) Copies of the University receipt for acceptance and school fees.

e) Sworn affidavit/undertaking to be of Good Conduct as collected from the office of the Dean of Students.

Bauchi—The Chairman of Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, Dr Lawan Abubakar has described the media reports that the union had postponed its National Executive Committee meeting indefinitely as false and speculative.

This was even as he dismissed the claim that the union had accepted the N1.3 trillion offered by the Federal Government, saying ”what the union is agitating for is the full implementation of the 2009 agreement and nothing less.”

Abubakar said in an interview with Vanguard, yesterday, in Bauchi that the National Executive Committee of the union only adjourned its meeting for seven days to enable it mourn Prof Festus Iyayi who died in an auto crash involving the entourage of the Kogi State Governor, Capt. Idris Wada, adding that the members were awaiting further directives from its national leadership on a new date for the NEC meeting.

Rev. Teddy Parker, a Macon, Georgia pastor killed himself a few days after telling his congregation at his church that God was not hearing him and no longer felt a connection to God.

“I try to pray but I don’t feel like God is hearing me,” Parker said to his congregation “I try to serve but I don’t feel like God is using me. And there are times in your life when God purposely withdraws from you, he doesn’t withdraw for the sake of leaving you but he withdraws so you can grow and mature.”

Rev. Parker, a father of two, shot himself in the head with his own gun following Sunday service at Bible Mount Zion Baptist Church while his family and congregation were still at his church waiting for him for the next service..

“When he didn’t show up they went looking for him,” a church member, Russell Rowland, told the Post. “I’m very surprised because he didn’t preach that. He preached totally against it. It’s something that the congregation don’t really understand.”.
