I know everyone is probably busy preparing towards their various screening exercises. Well I was reading a textbook and "blood letting" was mentioned. Its not my first time reading about it buh I'm curious
*on what principle did it work? cus I thought it should be the other way round (i.e transfusion).
*also, they believed it could actually cure all ailments/illnesses?... is there any modern medical info that could explain why it worked? |

if your o level for 2014 says your names are Don Pedro Michael
and then your Jamb in 2016 says your name is Don Pedro Emmanuel
No Affidavit will save you, if you like say Emmanuel is your grand father's baptismal name.

Candidates’ names on their O’Level Certificates, UTME results and other registration documents must be the same.
This part is unclear.... wouldn't an affidavit suffice in a case of misarrangement/misplacement of first and middle name in an O'Level result?
also has anyone registered for the putme yet?... how much was charged? and a little insight to the procedures you went through would help(like documents required)... Thanks

Millex: Lol I ain't throwing blame tho, am just stating that there needs to be a system in place where healthcare is placed above money. If there is a system where every nigerian has health insurance then if the person has help issues rather than having the person making deposit here and there treatment can start spot on. I think that's what is used in UK not sure tho but corruption won't let it work. sorry for your loss sir, do accept my condolences (tho its coming late) As regards the insurance scheme, I think its way overdue. Such schemes would save a lot of life and greatly improve our healthcare system. The fact is, I don't necessarily blame the doctors. Who is to say that the patient would pay after being treated?, What if the patient doesn't make it, who is gonna pay for the doctor's work, drugs, surgery, bed etc? Even in the US, UK etc, you might be stabilize from dying by the hospital buh continued treatment won't happen unless your work covers health insurance, you are a part of a health insurance scheme or you're ready to pay cash. Hence, Dr. Gideon saying doctors down here are black devils in white coat and what not because they follow same(almost same) procedures doctors around the world follow is just TOTALLY WRONG! |

is MBBS as hard as people paint it? it feels like answering this could discourage or encourage your aspiration for medicine... well I hope that's not the case In my opinion, Medicine isn't easy, [i didn't say it is hard] it takes a lot to become a doctor and unless you're willing to give that lot, then you'd probably not gonna be a doctor, because it takes an even greater lot to stay a doctor. #NevermindMyParables_HopeYouGetItTho |

jemmiee: in Unical, the mbbch students don't do all round calendar in their first three years. They are like every other undergraduate until when the pass their MB. So yes, in same limited amount of time. I think unical have a very disrupted curriculum, seriously very very disrupted just curious anyway, since you offered all the courses med students did, can you in all sincerity say that you'd pass the MB exam if ask to write one now? |
