I know, I want to know if I am to pay the school to send the degree for SVR or once SVR is initiated I have nothing to do with the school.
Some schools have a fee, you'll have to contact the ECFMG rep of your school(usually someone in the college of health) to know for sure what is required on your part to have them verify you for ECFMG

Do you it matter if I get my reference letter from my old job before ITA? before even creating a profile

It's important that your contribution here on this thread should be based on experience, hence you're going to mislead a lot of people that relied solely on the information provided on this thread for their visa application. It's okay to use AI/Google, but make sure it's right and tested.

Attached below is a screenshot of a rejection letter of someone that used the same information that you provided here. (Though not from you)
Do you know if software developers have such strict requirements?

Foreign skilled experience is proven mainly through a reference letter from your employer. IRCC expects the letter to have:

• Company letterhead with address and contact
• Your full name and job title
• Start date and end date
• Hours per week
• Salary
• Detailed list of job duties that match your NOC

Attach supporting documents:
• Pay slips
• Employment contract
• Bank statements showing salary
• Tax or pension records if available

If the employer cannot provide all details, add a Letter of Explanation and include what you have. IRCC checks duties first, not the job title.
Thank you so much

Does this experience have to be the same as my degree. E.g I have years of experience as a software developer but my degree is a health science one with only 1-2 years of experience

What do I do in my case

As regards foreign skilled experience... how is this proven? What should the reference letter contain

Greetings Chief.
I did uniport's pume recently and I got an avg score of 278.5.
What are the chances of getting admitted into MBBS
its a good score, congrats... There's a chance but probably not the first list though

It largely depends on the performance generally and the performance of people from your state of origin. If you're from Rivers state, it is looking good, if not, still keep up hope, its a solid score

Clearly, both your degree and institution are recognized. Therefore, you don't need to use ZAB.
Thank you so much

Since your school is recognized, go back to Anabin and check if your degree (MBBS) is listed.
It is listed but no classification just a list of "lending institutions" which my school is one of them

Since you've not made up your mind, sorry I can't be of help. Maybe someone else will assist you. Clarity is of the essence.
Clarity requires information and I had hoped I would get some here. Thanks for the time though, I honestly do appreciate it. Have a pleasant evening

So you want to practice as a doctor or as a tech professional?
I don't mind any of them... I'm currently open to any

I'm trying to use the points calculator and I'm stuck at "if my degree is fully recognised in Germany". Do you know if an MBBS degree from a federal school is?

to add? I already checked Anabin and its there(H+)

I'm new to this so forgive the dumb questions and fumblings
TravelRe: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Donpre(m): 9:13pm On Jul 27, 2025
Hi Hannania, I'm a newly graduated doctor currently about do his internship and I looking at the opportunity card after my internship but I have no idea if my points will be enough

is there a way to figure this out?

I've got 5 years of tech experience too but without a CS degree, I don't know if it can be relevant in my application

Also, is the Visa wait time the same as Student Visa?

TONYE001:
Doc, once again, congratulations!

For HJ, nothing much; just prioritize your health, and be at your best per time.

Getting a jotter to note management protocols of units you go through is a good way to go. Some of those cases, you may never see them again until PP. And the info you'll gather may not be readily available in the texts or online.

Remember to document....document EVERYTHING. Let your documentations be timely too. They may just be your saving grace one day. If not sure, don't give any med; call your chiefs and ask...even if it means asking a thousand times...whether them dey insult you or not. In areas you are not too familiar with, be quick to say you don't know.

Hands on, hands on. Skills like circumcision, femoral cannulation, MVA, episiorrhaphy, suturing, taps, etc...very handy.

Many other things dey, but as you start, I'm sure you'll adapt quickly.

Good luck, doc; best wishes.
I can't thank you enough for this

Hahahaha.

I completed the diary..graduated.

Did another one detailing my house job stories. Completed that one too.

Working up a third diary I'll start soon, not yet time for this one.

Thanks for following my story...hope it was helpful...
I definitely missed the HJ one, I should go find it. Looking forward to the next one

Any advice for a young doc starting HJ soon?
