Volvo XC90 pre-facelift (AU)
Interior In January 2001, Volvo débuted its Adventure Concept Car at the North American International Auto Show, to gauge reaction to the styling and features of its upcoming SUV.[7] In November 2001, Volvo released a teaser image showing the frontal styling of the production version, named the XC90. Notable as Volvo's first SUV model, the styling of the XC90 recalled the concept.[8] In January 2002, the full XC90 unveiling occurred, at the North American International Auto Show.[8] Production began in August 2002, after Volvo's traditional mid-year shutdown, with the first XC90s coming out of the Torslanda factory in Sweden.[8]
At its North American launch for the 2003 model year, the XC90 was presented with a choice of two trim levels, the 2.5 T and the T6. The 2.5 T was the entry level version and offered a 2.5-litre B5254T2 "T5" turbocharged inline-five engine, producing 208 hp (155 kW) and 236 lb⋅ft (320 N⋅m) mated to an Aisin co-developed five-speed AW55-50/51 automatic. The T6 offered a 2.9-litre B6294T twin-turbocharged inline-six with 268 hp (200 kW) and 280 lb⋅ft (380 N⋅m) mated to a GM-sourced, Volvo-modified four-speed 4T65EV/GT automatic. While the 2.5T came standard with front-wheel drive, a Haldex Traction all-wheel drive (AWD) system was optional. The T6 was offered only with the AWD system.
A Yamaha V8 engine was added in 2005. This 4.4-litre Volvo B8444S engine produced 288 hp (215 kW) for the first few models later upgraded to 311 hp (232 kW) and 325 lb⋅ft (441 N⋅m) of torque. Volvo sold just over 40,000 XC90 units in North America that year.[9]
The XC90 won the North American Car of the Year award and Motor Trend magazine's Sport/Utility of the Year for 2003. Volvo vehicles are known to be durable or even the best in safety features, they are also know to be ones that invented the seatbelt and a tough body structure |

chinese8107: agree trenchs are needed but if they don't have time to build or simply a temporary base scout unit like scout cars(or simply toyota)patrolling around and snipers hidden in crutial positons will not cost much
if helicoper or scout car is expensive http://www.flir.cn/suas/content/?id=73063 then this toy cost only a second hand toyota. can provide at least 10 km air scout.
if enemy spotted 10kms away you have enough time to respond wether defend calling for reinforcement or retreat I doubt if that bolded toy can deliver 10km realtime footage to base, but a scout armed with the toy could have radioed in enemy position and artilleries would have done serious damage before approaching the base. So long as the nations involved in this fight against BH refuse to adapt to the use of basic tech, we are going to keep losing men un-necessarily. Did anyone notice that BHT convoys attacked the base with headlamps turned off? They used the cover of dawn to carry out their attack, that is basic hunting skill and the base was caught napping. The arms captured is more than enough to prolong the war. I doubt if BH would attack another base with all that weapon. They will definitely spread the weapons within the cells across the length and breadth of that region to cause more extensive damage. The earlier the MNJTF mobilise serious air support to destroy the Shikas and heavy artilleries the better. By the way, what is Shiika anti aircraft weapon doing in that base? Does BH own aircrafts? |

NOETHNICITY: I blame our surveillance and intelligence agencies especially the DSS. The DSS re not doing their job! I mean what does it really take to ve a comprehensive record and data of all these militants and prospective ones and place them on surveillance! The complacency of the DSS is shamefully dangerous! They re more busy today snuggling around government and state houses wearing big suits seemingly protecting high profile politicians. These militants were busy making threats and the DSS failed to be proactive. The FG posture today unfortunately is one dictated by circumstance! U ll agree with me that there are promises to be fulfilled and time is running out! I understnd that govt jus hve to look for a way round the whole debacle. Seriously, intelligence gathering agencies in the country need to up their game. Lets just give them benefit of the doubt that they are working underground. |
