Pls guys, let's be honest here, I'm suprise you all saying this ... Most naija guys prefer dis
Most Naija guys kwa?? please only speak about your family cos it is obviousfrom your comment it runs in d blood, if your mum was pregnant before marriage, n ur sisters were All heavy b4 their wedding I don't see anything wrong in it; so far your wife's family also see nothing wrong with it... Where I come from it is actually frowned upon

FashionRe: Help Out With Safe Lightening Soaps And Creams Pls. by dontgivafuck: 11:34am On Dec 05, 2013
I dont think you shld try palmers tho, it works like mad buh it uses hydroquinone as its active agent wch is nt good for d skin

makari de suisse day lightening cream works, even d qei u re using lightens buh u have to use it nd d serum together(for these creams pls make sure u go to a shop dt carries their original or u'l b dissapointed)
To get faster results of any lightening cream u choose use it morning n night esp night, after cleansing @ nite(likas papaya is a good lightening soap to cleanse wit), apply some lemon or lime juice all over ur face(it'll sting a bit) leave to dry on ur face, then wash off and apply d cream, wit d combined effect of natural lightening agent and ur cream, u'll begin to see visible diff in 8-10 days, wen u have achieved ur desired tone discontinue d use of d lemon then use d cream only to maintain ur new complexion n u can reduce to once a day use... Do not forget to buy a sunscreen of 30% n above b4 buying any lightenin soap or cream, if not u'll just b wasting ur efforts n money; not using a sunscreen might be d reason y u darkend in d first place... Neutrogena's range of sunblocks works well

Hahahaha op u say wat?? Abeg wait make i finish my laff... hehehehe

oya nw lemme advice, what u did wasnt lying, it ws deceit... Fundamental deceit, nd wen d 'supposed foundation' is no longer their d building crumbles... U lied abt what u earn wen u actually earn half of wat she does, despite what u might read online, women dont generaly luv to marry men who earn lesser than dey do nt to talk of 50% lesser, because of d inferiority complex such men re prone to in d face of their wives, nt 2 mention dt she has to b sure u can take kia of d whole family(even if she'll still contribute)... U lied abt being a graduate, well that is just hilarious n then d 'building project' lol... Not to talk of the part where u re a deceiver wit a bordersome low self esteem n d ensuing trust issues, i mean for all she knows u cld hv 2 kids outside too... U cld tell her d truth buh i dont blive she is sticking arnd so u might also strt searching buh then again it depends on ur fiancee i mean wat kind of a woman doesnt find out abt ur actual salary or a near-estimate n weda u re a graduate, hmm nt even d basic checks n she accepted a ring... She must be in a haste... Or she might already knows n doesnt really care buh she is waiting to see wat u'll actually do.

FashionRe: Grow Your Natural Hair Long by dontgivafuck: 6:57am On Nov 28, 2013
beautifulynappy: Water is the only source of moisture for our hair, this is why I always say spray water first. Because oils and butters are sealants, they seal in the moisture, they dont actually supply any moisture. If you spray water in your hair, then add any oil/butter of your choice on it from tip to root, you will notice a softness and elasticity. Natural hair or relaxed smiley . If you are worried about your hair puffying up if you gave relaxed hair, if you wet it a little too much just put in in a pony tail and wrap with a satin scarf so it dries flat.

I have not used a tea rinse yet, its on my to do list. But there are some partial scientific assumptions that indicate that they are good for the hair:

1. Black tea or green tea contains tannins-this compound binds to and precipitates proteins in plants. The tannins in tea can attach to the hair strands making the hair appear fuller. Tannins have antibacterial properties that can help soothe itchy/flaky scalp issues which will help reduce shedding. The tannins also tighten pores, which better protects your scalp from excessive oil and dirt while strengthening your strands to prevent damage.

2. Tea, Black or Green contains Pantheol, which is found in tons of hair products, acts as a humectant, drawing moisture into the hair and helps prevent split ends while conditioning. Vitamin C is known as an antioxidant thought to help heal the scalp. Vitamin E also acts as an antioxidant that helps effective circulation in the scalp due to increased oxygen uptake in blood.

3. The caffine in tea rinses are good as well: Black tea has about 55 mg of caffeine per serving versus green tea's 35mg of caffeine. Traditional drip coffee has 100 mg of caffeine. Caffeine is known for stimulating and increasing blood flow, and thus allowing your scalp to get more oxygen.

When I take out my braids I will try a tea rinse! smiley Have a good day
oh thanks dear, used to spray water on my hair though am relaxed bt stopped after i read smwhere dt water as a daily moisturizer weakens relaxed hair but good for natural hair so i stopped, will hv to get back to it now.

Pls do share how ur tea rinse goes when u re done with it

FashionRe: I Need Suggestions On How To Remove Dark Spots by dontgivafuck: 8:06pm On Nov 27, 2013
@Lipsilicious st. Ives apricot scrub is not really 4 dark spots, its a good Exfoliant buh its for pimple mgt nt for dark spot removal, hv used it for over a year n it sure lightens d dark spots to lightish brown buh it doesnt totally get rid of it, over time all dark spots will fade of course without any cream self buh dt is a long thing.

Original honey works faster, its natural n it also smoothens ur face jst apply allover face n leave for 15-30 mins then rinse off, 3rice per week, cleanse ur face b4 application, they will noticeably begin to fade away after 6wks... Lime juice also works buh d fruit is kinda scarce (atleast where i stay) n u might hv to discontinue use cos of its lack... Pls try not to pick at your pimples(eventhough i never stopped) buh its a gr8t advice n i'll always giv it

also i'll advice u to save for n get d salycylic acid peel, it gets rid of pimples n spots as it gently peels of d old damaged skin layer, n d best part is it actually cures pimple i.e no future outbreaks, so u dont hv to worry abt fading out another round of dark spots

Iyaoloja: Good post on your skincare routine @nappily

Here's my tidbit.

Step 1 - Facial Wash. For those with extra sensitive skin, use on with Benzoyl Peroxide. Although, based on experience, clients with sensitive tend to use Black Opal's blemish wash or Neutrogena Acne Wash and find it works for them. Of all the blemish wash we get great feedback from, Black Opal's Blemish Bar is a winner for many of its users.

Step 2 - Astringent or Toner. Most people complain about it's over drying effect on the skin, which is not good. In some cases, when the skin gets over dried, it reacts by creating even extra oil, and that is something you want to avoid in the first place. Generally, brands targeting acne/blemish clearing almost always have 0.9 - 2% salicylic acid in the astringent + alcohol denat. From experience, the products that also contain glycerine or Witch Hazel get better results from the skin. Sadly, not many brands use Witch Hazel in their astringent, the only one that I can think of is Black Opal's pore minimizing toner. Oxy's cleansing pads are also quite good and Kuddy Cosmetics also has a good oil control toner + lightening ingredient.

Step 3 - Anti- Acne. Benzoyl Peroxide (Oxy, Oxy 10 etc) is great for those with sensitive skin and works well to clear out acne and spots.
For those who have tested acne lotion with 2% salicylic acid (Black Opal, Mary Kay, Clean and Clear, Neutrogena etc) and found that it did not work, Benzoyl Peroxide is a good alternative. And if Benzoyl does not work, then 2% Salicylic.

Step 4 - Targeted Gel. These get used when there's a break out problem and you have large pimples on the skin. The target blemish gel, usually Salicylic acid, gets applied on remote areas only. And preferable at night. The targeted blemish gel are to be used for emergency situations, not daily usage. In my case, it gets the job done within 48hours max. Black Opal, Mary Kay, Neutrogena, Clean & Clear, have gels that help.

Over all, the brands are not really what should be focused on, simply the ingredients. In the skincare industry, a lot of the brands copy each other...everything else is just marketing.

Check out https://www.iyaoloja.com/search/face-treatments-moisturizers__or__toners-astringents/no-manuf for products that can do the trick.
please can u give me the name of the particular target blemish gel u use that gets rid of d pimple in 48hrs. Thanks

IMAGEMasters: I got my peel from a Salon/Spa somehwere in Ajah, it was just a coincident because I was in lagos briefly and went in there to do my nails and I saw it.
The bottle is quite small for the price but no complaints because the stuff works like crazy. I think I should be doing this peel more often.

I used it every night for one week by the second week my face was glowing,no pimples, no spots, and the sun burn I got from that harsh abj sun had disappeared. The bottle is finished ,but my regular cream is what am using now and my face is still glowing
This is what Chemical Peels do for you ,they get rid of dead skin cells to allow your facial products to work well on you.
I might be getting another one whenever I go back to lagos.
pls wats d address of the spa in ajah or dia phone no, a sista is seriously in need.
N how much did u get d peel for

PoliticsRe: ASUU And FG Who Is To Be Blamed For This Strike ? by dontgivafuck: 8:29pm On Oct 17, 2013
phreakabit: ASUU consists of a bunch of lying deceitful old thieves. Its a shame that ASUU has gone to the dogs. They have metamorphosed from being an educational body, into becoming a political machine.
n here it is, an example of such generally held views...
Ask this guy nw 'Y do u say ASUU consists of a bunch of LYing n Deceitful thieves; xplaining how they are "lying n deceitful" he can't say, its just one of those things he hs heard being said arnd n he decided 'oh well I guess dts it'

ASUU has become a political machine or in a more popular parlance 'ASUU has been politicised' - another such general views, dis particular one originating from d govt of day to gain sympathy of d masses n demoralize ASUU into submission, n d masses of course swallowed it up in their usual 'follow-follow manner'

Sir please give me just one concrete evidence Y u came to d conclusion dt ASUU is nw a political machine.
PoliticsRe: ASUU And FG Who Is To Be Blamed For This Strike ? by dontgivafuck: 8:14pm On Oct 17, 2013
After reading through comments here I've come to the conclusion d Most Nigerians are especially d so called studs are ignorant n others just reason with their sentiments/emotions, D rest are just plain myopic n hv a particular set of "truths" they seem to believe without any reason to back It up; I mean they hear others say it. N they just swallow it hook, line, sinker that that is d way it is. One such is 'ASUU re thieves' 95% of pple who say this cannot give u a single tangible reason y 'they are thieves'

The problem with Nigeria is Nigerians nt d Government, nigerians have refused to investigate n find out d truth for themselves, most of us go wit d general flow n popular street opinions esp d so called graduates. Only d truth can set a nation free n nigeria will b out of her bondage only wen her citizens get up their lazy asses and verify Wat they have been led to blive n not just be 'oh yes citizens'.
