We have all read the Gospel accounts many times. But this is new and exciting. I don’t think anyone forgot that the Gospels are eye-witness accounts, but “new” accounts are very exciting.

We do already have eyewitness accounts of Yeshua and His miracles from Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. People forget that the gospels are written accounts of what these disciples witnessed.

Rome| An Italian expert studying a first century document written by the Roman historian Marcus Velleius Paterculus that was recently discovered in the archives of the Vatican, found what is presumed to be the first eyewitness account ever recorded of a miracle of Jesus Christ. The author describes a scene that he allegedly witnessed, in which a prophet and teacher that he names Iēsous de Nazarenus, resuscitated a stillborn boy and handed him back to his mother.

Historian and archivist Ignazio Perrucci, was hired by the Vatican authorities in 2012, to sort, analyze and classify some 6,000 ancient documents that had been uncovered in the gigantic archive vaults. He was already very excited when he noticed that the author of the text was the famous Roman historian Velleius, but he was completely stunned when he realized the nature of the content.
Professor Ignazio Perrucci found the text in the archives of the Vatican, while searching among a bundle of personnal letters and other trivial documents dating from the Roman era.

The text as a whole is a narrative of the author’s return journey from Parthia to Rome that occurred in 31 AD, recorded in a highly rhetorical style of four sheets of parchment. He describes many different episodes taking place during his trip, like a a violent sandstorm in Mesopotamia and visit to a temple in Melitta (modern day Mdina, in Malta).

The part of the text that really caught M. Perrucci’s attention is an episode taking place in the city of Sebaste (near modern day Nablus, in the West Bank). The author first describes the arrival of a great leader in the town with a group of disciples and followers, causing many of the lower class people from neighbouring villages to gather around them. According to Velleius, that great man’s name was Iēsous de Nazarenus, a Greco-Latin translation of Jesus’ Hebrew name, Yeshua haNotzri.

Upon entering town, Jesus would have visited the house of a woman named Elisheba, who had just given birth to a stillborn child. Jesus picked up the dead child and uttered a prayer in Aramaic to the heavens, which unfortunately the author describes as “immensus”, meaning incomprehensible. To the crowd’s surprise and amazement, the baby came back to life almost immediately, crying and squirming like a healthy newborn.


Many tests and analysis have been realized over the last weeks to determine the authenticity of the manuscript. The composition of the parchment and ink, the literary style and handwriting have all been carefully scrutinized and were considered to be entirely legitimate. The dating analysis also revealed that the sheepskin parchment on which the text is written, does indeed date from the 1st century of this era, more precisely from between 20-45 AD.

This new text from an author known for his reliability, brings a brand new perspective on the life of the historical character that is Jesus of Nazareth. It comes to confirm the Gospels on the facts that he was known for accomplishing miracles and that his sheer presence in a town was enough to attract crowds of people.

A complete and official translation of the document should be made available online in many different languages over the next few weeks, but the impact of the discovery is already felt in the scientific community. Many scholars have already saluted the finding as one of the greatest breakthrough ever realized in the study of the historical life of Jesus, while others have expressed doubts about the conclusions of Professor Perrucci and demand for more tests to be performed by other scientific institutions before drawing any conclusions.

Southampton University scientists have found evidence that awareness can continue for at least several minutes after clinical death which was previously thought impossible


Death is a depressingly inevitable consequence of life, but now scientists believe they may have found some light at the end of the tunnel.

The largest ever medical study into near-death and out-of-body experiences has discovered that some awareness may continue even after the brain has shut down completely.

It is a controversial subject which has, until recently, been treated with widespread scepticism.

But scientists at the University of Southampton have spent four years examining more than 2,000 people who suffered cardiac arrests at 15 hospitals in the UK, US and Austria.

And they found that nearly 40 per cent of people who survived described some kind of ‘awareness’ during the time when they were clinically dead before their hearts were restarted.


One man even recalled leaving his body entirely and watching his resuscitation from the corner of the room.

Despite being unconscious and ‘dead’ for three minutes, the 57-year-old social worker from Southampton, recounted the actions of the nursing staff in detail and described the sound of the machines.

“We know the brain can’t function when the heart has stopped beating,” said Dr Sam Parnia, a former research fellow at Southampton University, now at the State University of New York, who led the study.

“But in this case, conscious awareness appears to have continued for up to three minutes into the period when the heart wasn’t beating, even though the brain typically shuts down within 20-30 seconds after the heart has stopped.

“The man described everything that had happened in the room, but importantly, he heard two bleeps from a machine that makes a noise at three minute intervals. So we could time how long the experienced lasted for.

“He seemed very credible and everything that he said had happened to him had actually happened.”

Of 2060 cardiac arrest patients studied, 330 survived and 140 said they had experienced some kind of awareness while being resuscitated.

Although many could not recall specific details, some themes emerged. One in five said they had felt an unusual sense of peacefulness while nearly one third said time had slowed down or speeded up.

Some recalled seeing a bright light; a golden flash or the Sun shining. Others recounted feelings of fear or drowning or being dragged through deep water. 13 per cent said they had felt separated from their bodies and the same number said their sensed had been heightened.

Dr Parnia believes many more people may have experiences when they are close to death but drugs or sedatives used in the process of rescuitation may stop them remembering.

“Estimates have suggested that millions of people have had vivid experiences in relation to death but the scientific evidence has been ambiguous at best.

“Many people have assumed that these were hallucinations or illusions but they do seem to corresponded to actual events.

“And a higher proportion of people may have vivid death experiences, but do not recall them due to the effects of brain injury or sedative drugs on memory circuits.

“These experiences warrant further investigation. “

Dr David Wilde, a research psychologist and Nottingham Trent University, is currently compiling data on out-of-body experiences in an attempt to discover a pattern which links each episode.

He hopes the latest research will encourage new studies into the controversial topic.

“Most studies look retrospectively, 10 or 20 years ago, but the researchers went out looking for examples and used a really large sample size, so this gives the work a lot of validity.

“There is some very good evidence here that these experiences are actually happening after people have medically died.

“We just don’t know what is going on. We are still very much in the dark about what happens when you die and hopefully this study will help shine a scientific lens onto that.”

The study was published in the journal Resuscitation.

Dr Jerry Nolan, Editor-in-Chief at Resuscitation said: “Dr Parnia and his colleagues are to be congratulated on the completion of a fascinating study that will open the door to more extensive research into what happens when we die.”

NIGERIA'S AJAOKUTA STEEL COMPANY SET TO TAKE-OFF AS WORKERS COMMEND FG FOR ITS REVIVAL

The workers in Ajaokuta Steel Company Ltd, today Monday, commended Nigeria's Federal Government for its efforts at reviving the metal and steel sector, reports NAN.

Mr Otori Salihu, the National President of Iron and Steel Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ISSSAN), gave the commendation at the annual leadership workshop of the association in Lokoja.

He said the workshop was aimed at preparing the workers ahead of resumption of production soon.

The recent delivery of consignment of billets to the company in preparation for resumption of production is a good development for the country and workers in the sector, he said.

Mr Salihu again said, before now, the progress of the nation’s steel sector had been dragging due to failure in policy implementation.

He called on all stakeholders in the steel industry, including workers, to support the federal government's effort towards reviving the sector.

The National President commended the workers of the company for their dedication to duty in spite of the numerous challenges that confronted the company in the past.

Nigeria can only get better.

Both Saul and David were anointed by God as the kings of Israel, both of them conquered several battles, and both of them committed sins. But the difference is that, Saul was more concerned about his personal ego than his personal relationship with God while David was primarily concerned about his relationship with God than his personal ego.

King Saul regarded the respect of people mostly, but King David regarded his reconciliation with God more than anything else. When King Saul committed a sin and God sent Prophet Samuel to rebuke him, king Saul realized he had sin but he was not ready to let go of his ego. "Then he (Saul) said, “I have sinned; yet honor me now, please, before the elders of my people and before Israel, and return with me, that I may worship the Lord your God.” 1 Samuel 15:30. But when David sinned and God sent Prophet Nathan to rebuke him, he humbled himself before God and man, and so he was pardoned. "So David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” 2 Samuel 12:13.

Some people do say that David committed sins but God forgave him because he knew how to praise God very well. That is a serious error and un-biblical conclusion. Such conclusion can mislead people, and it's misleading many people. Sacrifice of praise to God cannot cover your sins, in fact David himself said that any sacrifice in sin is useless to God.

"For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You do not delight in burnt offering.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise......Then You shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness,
With burnt offering and whole burnt offering;
Then they shall offer bulls on Your altar." Psalm 51:16, 17, 19.

David received the mercies of God because he confessed and forsook his sins. Saul confessed his sin of wickedness at different times when he was pursuing David, but he did not stop pursuing David. But David confessed his sin of adultery and murder, and he never continued in the sins again. Have you read it anywhere in the Bible that David committed adultery after he had confessed to God? Never! Praise and worship does not cover sin as many preachers are saying today, thanksgiving and sacrificial givings cannot get you the mercies of God as many modern preachers are claiming today. The only two things that guarantee God's mercies are confession of sin and forsaking the sin, that is, to discontinue in the sin. Proverbs 28:13, "He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy."

Do you need the mercy of God like David? Do you want to be a precious child of God, a peculiar servant of God as David was? All you need is to humble yourself, open up, confess and discontinue in such sin.

THE TEMPLE OF GOD
"Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" 1 Corinthians 3:16

In the Old Testament, temple of God was a physical building in Jerusalem, but in the New Testament, the physical body of every child of God is the temple of God. When you surrender your life to Jesus Christ, your body becomes the temple of God, and your heart serves the throne of God.

DEFILING THE TEMPLE OF GOD
Many Christians and preachers claim that God is only interested in their hearts and nothing with their body, and so they can do anything with their bodies. Such teaching and notion is from the pit of hell, very deceptive and destructive; the same Christians ask God to heal their bodies when they are sick and also ask God to protect their bodies, so if God is not interested in their bodies, why will God heal their bodies from sickness? If they think their faith in God has nothing to do with their body, why will they exercise faith for the healing and protection of their body from attacks? This is nothing but self-ignorance.

Jesus Christ died for our soul, spirit and body, to give freedom, not only for our soul but also our body. When you become a child of God, your body is no longer your body but God's temple, whatever you do with it is very important to God. Involving in any act that defiles God's temple attracts serious judgment of God. "If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are." 1 Corinthians 3:17.

ACTS OF DEFILING GOD'S TEMPLE
Here are some acts that defile God's temple, which every child of God should flee from:

(1) SMOKING: Smoking is not just a wrong against one's health, but also it is a sin of defiling God's temple after salvation. After you are genuinely saved, going back to smoke is destructive to your spirit, soul and body, it defiles God's temple - your body, and it attracts God's judgment.

(2) DRINKING ALCOHOL: Drinking alcohol was not allowed in the temple of God in the Old Testament, “Do not drink wine or intoxicating drink, you, nor your sons with you, when you go into the tabernacle of meeting, lest you die." Leviticus 10:9; and how much more do you expect with the temple redeemed by the Blood of Jesus? The reason why drinking alcohol is a forbidden thing to a genuine child of God is because his body is the temple of God, and alcohol is not allowed in the temple of God.

(3) TATTOO: Painting tattoo to the body is only meant for the gentiles, the unbelievers who owe their own bodies for their destruction, but when your body becomes the temple of God, redeemed by the precious Blood of Jesus, it becomes sinful and evil to paint tattoo on your body. "You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord." Leviticus 19:28 "I AM THE LORD OF YOUR BODY AFTER YOU SURRENDER YOUR LIFE TO ME, NOT YOUR OWN ANYMORE" - JESUS CHRIST.

(4) BLEACHING: Toning and bleaching skin is an act of defiling the temple of God. When you become a child of God through repentance, your body belongs to Jesus, and you dare not do anything to your body that will not glorify God. Bleaching and toning skin is evil and destructive.

(5) MASTURBATION: Masturbation is an act of manipulating one's body for sexual pleasure, it is forbidden by every genuine child of God, because our body is the temple of God and we cannot manipulate it. Masturbation actually mean having sex with demon; since it is for sexual pleasure and it usually involves two people; in masturbation, the other person is invisible and that is demon. When you surrender your life to Jesus completely, you must resist and reject the demon of masturbation when he comes back to play with you.

(6) MouthAction: Either in marriage or outside marriage, MouthAction is an immoral act of working against the normal cause of nature, it is turning the cause of nature upside down by using what is meant for oral for sex and what is meant for sex for oral; but since your body is the temple of God, you will not want to turn the temple of God upside down, you know God will not take that for granted?

(7) FORNICATION & ADULTERY: These are the worst of all sins, because sexual immorality is the only sin that cuts across spirit, soul and body at the same time. it's a serious sin that poisons the whole system. Sexual immorality is a sacrifice that empowers the kingdom of darkness, what it means is that whenever sexual immorality is being committed, demons are readily present to empower themselves. Bodies or places where sexual immorality is being committed are filled with demons. Since your body becomes the temple of God, it is a must to keep yourself and flee from every form of sexual immorality. If you have involved in such before, you repent, ask Jesus to cleanse you and do not go back into it.

DESTRUCTION FOR DEFILING GOD'S TEMPLE
"If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are." 1 Corinthians 3:17.

There is grave judgment of God for anyone who defiles temple of God by any act. If you have been involving in any of these acts, you have to repent and ask God to forgive you and turn to Him in a new life completely.

Romans 12:1-2, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

A club house which was undergoing make over from a bungalow to a storey building collapsed on Friday trapping scores of menial labourer and customers at Phase IV road in Jikwoyi, Abuja.

Four persons were pulled out alive by rescue workers within few hours of the incident and rushed in ambulances to nearby hospitals, while voices were heard under the rubbles calling for help and making phone calls.

Two female workers of the club were seen wailing and showing rescue officials where people were trapped in the collapsed site. One of them put the figure of those still trapped as 13.

Residents within the area alleged that the building named ‘Mimshack Arena’ belongs to a policeman called Corporal Joseph.

Emeka Ikechuckwu, a resident said some customers were drinking at the bar, while construction work was going on when the entire building craved in.

One of the rescue officials at the scene complained that buildings around the area were built so closely which made it difficult for rescue vehicles to get to the incident scene.

Efforts to speak to the coordinator of the Abuja operations office of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ishaya Chonoko, failed as calls to his phone were not answered. Daily Trust later learnt that he was at the scene of the building collapse coordinating rescue operations.

However, NEMA information officer, Manzo Eziekiel informed our reporter that the building collapsed as a result of an additional floor being added on it.

A South African mother who tragically lost her daughter in the collapse of T.B. Joshua’s guesthouse in Lagos, Nigeria on September 12th 2014 has expressed belief that her death served a purpose. It’s been almost three weeks since the tragedy in Lagos and Sibongile Madzhiye's family is still waiting for their daughter’s remains to be brought back home.

The bright 23-year-old final year BCom Accounting student was an avid Emmanuel TV viewer and thrilled at the opportunity to visit The Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), along with over 300 other South Africans.

"Immediately when she boarded the flight, she sent me an SMS – ‘Mummy, good morning’”, Sonny Madzhiye sombrely recounted to South African news channel ENCA reporter Bongiwe Khumalo.

“She then called me at the [Lagos] airport. She was so excited. She said, ‘Mummy, they have come to fetch us to go to the church.’ I said, ‘It’s fine; take it easy. We will talk tomorrow.’ That was it. We
never communicated after that.”

Sibongile was among 84 South Africans at a pilgrimage to Joshua’s church in Lagos who died while taking their lunch as the guesthouse above them suddenly caved in.

Her mother said when The SCOAN authorities informed her of her daughter’s passing, it merely confirmed what she had seen in a vision during prayer.

She spoke glowingly of her daughter’s faith, “She loved the Lord so much. She was unique. One thing that I know – she was a child of God. She was set apart. I didn’t know that it was for this. I know that her death is not in vain. South Africa will never be the same.”

Today, she waits patiently for her daughter’s remains to be brought home, acknowledging that the incident has actually moved her and the family as a whole closer to God.

“I just immerse myself in the Word and pray for my family,” she said, the ‘Faith Bracelet’ from T.B. Joshua visible on her hand. “I think God is doing this for a purpose, so that we can get closer to Him. I have never spent time with God like this moment.”

“One thing that I know [is that] nobody can stop God, whether the government or whoever – no one can stop God," she said. "I believe that God’s time is the best. I’m appealing also to the people that
lost their loved ones to stay in Christ. This is the opportunity to be closer to God, not to complain."

The family says it has no plans to take legal action against Prophet TB Joshua and they’re willing to travel to Nigeria to visit The SCOAN in the future.

Officials are still arranging the repatriation of the remains of those who died three weeks ago and the South African government has warned that this process could take longer than expected.

SAME CATEGORY OF IGNORANCE (Please read this!!!)

1 Kings 3:11, “Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice.”

The prosperity preachers who center on riches, and the problematic preachers whose messages and prayers concern on the death of enemies “fall down and die”, they are both in the same category of ignorance.

Christians with better understanding seek and center their preaching and prayer majorly on the understanding of the word of God, and to be fruitful thereby. King Solomon had an open cheque before God to ask whatever he wished; Solomon did not ask riches or prosperity, and he did not ask that his enemies should fall down and die, rather he asked for the understanding of God’s will and way; this pleased God so well, “Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice” 1 Kings 3:11.

When we seek to understand the Word of God and center our concern and prayers on how to grow in the Lord and in His kingdom, God will add blessings into our lives and He Himself fight our enemies. 1 Kings 3:12, 13. “ Behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you. 13 And I have also given you what you have not asked: both riches and honor, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days.”

So if Solomon did not ask for riches and for his enemies to die, why can't you do the same thing? if you read it that God was pleased with the request of Solomon for asking for spiritual understanding, why can't you do the same thing to please Him with your request and let Him do the same supernatural addition in your life. Jesus Christ promised us that if we seek first His kingdom - that is, how to be saved into God's kingdom and get others saved, and His righteousness - that is how to live in righteousness after we are saved and help others do the same, then He will add ALL others. "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6:33

A pastor whose preaching and prayers majorly center on riches, blessings, prosperity and breakthrough is a carnal and misled pastor; a pastor whose messages and prayers center on witches and wizards, deliverance, the “fall down and die” of enemies instead of focusing and praying on how to grow in holiness and prepare for the rapture, such pastor is ignorant and misguided.

The prosperity church is a deceived and derailed church; the problematic church of “enemies die” is a disillusive church. What about you? What is the center of your prayer? What is the first and foremost in your prayer list and time? Do you care for riches of this world more than righteousness? Do you seek for righteous living in your prayer and priority? Do you care more about the problems of life than purity of life in your prayer time and focus? Are you more concerned for the enemies in your family to die than focusing on the old sinful nature and notion in your life to die? Which one do you first pray on and mostly?

In this very end time, there are increasing number of foolish virgins among Christian ministers and members who care for the minor than major, who center their affection on the temporal than eternal, and whose priority, purpose, prayer and preaching center on how to get a well-being in this life than to receive a well-done in heaven. The people whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things. Philippians 3:19.

But if you chose to be among the few wise, then center your priority, purpose of life, prayer and preaching mostly and majorly on salvation into the kingdom of God and serving God in righteousness. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Colossians 3:2; Philippians 3:20

We tend to term or tag a harlot or prostitute to a woman who usually has sex with different men for money. But the reality is that, being a prostitute is far more than being a street or hotel sex worker. From the light of the Word of God, in the sight of God, a woman can be a prostitute or harlot without being a regular sex worker or without having sex for money; a woman can be a confirmed Prostitute and still looks and behaves decent, and still be a serious or zealous Christian woman, she can even be a minister or a minister's wife. It is a limited and inadequate insight and knowledge of people that see only women standing beside the road or hotel as prostitutes.

There are different types of harlots or prostitutes, and they are of different levels, but before God, all are seen as harlots. Let's see some other types of harlots apart from the regular sex workers:

(1) HARLOT BY GARMENT
Genesis 38:15, "When Judah saw her, he thought she was a harlot"

You can be registered as a harlot in heaven simply by the way you dress. You don't need to become an active sex worker, you don't need to commit a single sexual immorality with a man before Heaven will recognize you as a prostitute and remove your name from the Book of Life; in fact you can be a virgin but still a heavenly recognized harlot. How does that happens? It happens simply by what you wear and how you wear what you wear. If you wear low-cut dress or low necklines including ball gowns that exposes your cleavage, meaning, that shows the upper part, little trace of your breasts when you bend down, you are a harlot. You don't need to be half naked before you become harlot by garment, but as long you wear any clothing that reveals your cleavage a little, you are a harlot.

Also if you wear tight clothes that shows the anatomy of your body to the world as to show your shape, you are a harlot; if you wear transparent or perforated clothing that shows your inner-wears, you are a harlot; if you wear any dress which does not covers your arms or your kneels, you are a harlot. This may be hard to take but a spiritual reality for holy standard of the heaven minded.

You can be a pastor, a minister, deaconess; you can speak in tongues of angels, you can sing like angels, whoever you are or claim to be does not matter, but to God, you are a decent harlot. If this is too hard for you to take, you can wait until you get to the gate of heaven, only that will be too late, and I will not advise you to wait that too late. There will be surprise on the rapture day and in heaven, when our identities are declared to us, and we may say, "Lord, I am not a harlot, and never be one"

As a Christian woman, what will be your reason before God for wearing clothing that exposes your cleavage? How will you defend your motive of wearing tight, transparent, perforated and short dress?

(2) HARLOT BY GETTING
Genesis 38:21, "Then he asked the men of that place, saying, “Where is the harlot who was openly by the roadside?” And they said, “There was no harlot in this place.”

A harlot is a woman who gives sex to a man in order to get something back; so if you, as a woman, give sex to get a job, you are registered harlot in heavens, even if it is once. If you, as a woman, allow a man to sleep with you because of promotion at work, because you want to retain your job, because you want to get contract, because of your schooling, because of favor- you are a heavenly recognized prostitute. Prostitution is giving sex in exchange for something, it doesn't matter if it is money or not, and it doesn't matter if it is just once or forever.

Here is the is the terrifying truth: Whatever you have gotten by allowing men to sleep with you - even if those things were supposed to be your right, but as long as you allowed man to sleep before you got it through, you are a harlot - the job, certificate, etc are dividends of your harlotry, and the salary, profit, whatever you are getting as a result are wages of a harlot. The most terrific matter here is that, if you are giving tithes, offerings from the wages you got through harlotry, you are only waging serious judgment of God against your life and eternity, because God warned that no wages of harlotry should be brought into His house.

Here is the word of God in Deuteronomy 23:18, "You shall not bring the wages of a harlot or the price of a dog to the house of the Lord your God for any vowed offering, for both of these are an abomination to the Lord your God."

Your pastor can collect your tithes and offerings, your prosperity pastors can say anybody can bring tithes, but you are only doing yourself havoc if you are in such category. To have the mercies of God, you need to repent, open up and confess, then do necessary restitution.

(3) HARLOT BY GIVING
Genesis 34:31, "But they said, “Should he treat our sister like a harlot?”

If you are in marital relationship, and you commit premarital sex, in a way of giving your love or promise to the man, you are a harlot. Premarital sex in a marital relationship is only an act of harlotry. In the book of Genesis 34, a man called Shechem loved Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and he slept with her, even though he had not married her; when her brothers heard it, they were angry and said, “Should he treat our sister like a harlot?” - Only a prostitute will be sleeping with a man before marriage, that is what the brothers meant.

If a man is asking a woman for premarital sex in a relationship, he is only addressing the woman as a prostitute, taking her to be a prostitute; and if a woman is allowing a man to sleep with her in a marital relationship, she is only presenting herself to be a harlot. So the same man who has been sleeping with her can think and decide tomorrow that he doesn't want to marry her again, and why? "She is a harlot" But you are the same man who has been sleeping with her. The man answers, "Yes, I know, but I am not her husband yet, it only proves she is a harlot."

If you had premarital sex before you got married, and you covered it up, you need to repent NOW and realize your sin. Then you will need to confess to the necessary people: your parents, your pastors, including the pastor who joined you together. If you think it is a past matter and no need to confess to the necessary people, you are only embalming your past sin, and enlisting yourself as a harlot in hell.

Take or give, a woman who has extra-marital sex is also a harlot, even if it was once or it was in past; until she confesses to her husband, she is still a prostitute in God's eyes. But as long as such a woman has repented and confessed to her husband, she is as clean as a virgin before God, because when we repent and confess, God is always faithful to forgive and cleanse us, and never remember again our sins as long as don't go back.

AND WHAT ABOUT MEN?
So, what about men who have who ask or commit premarital sex or extra-marital sex, are they also harlots or what should we call them? The same thing is applicable to men, a man who commit premarital sex is a fornicator and a man who commits extra-marital sex is an adulterer. The solution to settle the matter is not a matter of saying, "I don't do it again and I have asked to forgive me" Such a man will need to repent, confess to God and to his wife, to one another as the case may be. If you, as man, has asked a woman for premarital or extra-marital sex, after you have repented, you will need to apologize to the woman for the "evil asking"

Hebrews 13:4, "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge."

This message is not meant to condemn us, but it is to correct us so that we will not be condemned with the world at the end. Let us make the necessary amendment.

1 Corinthians 11:31, 32, "For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world."

Sgt. Lewis confirms that Colleen Hufford was stabbed several times and that Nolen “severed her head.”

At that point, Lewis claims Nolen met 43-year-old Traci Johnson and began attacking her with the same knife.

Officials say at that point, Mark Vaughn, an Oklahoma County reserve deputy and a former CEO of the business, shot him as he was actively stabbing Johnson.

Police said the suspect also stabbed another woman in the incident at Vaughan Foods, after he was fired.

The attacker, identified as Alton Nolen, was shot by police and taken to hospital.

Moore Police spokesman Jeremy Lewis said the 30-year-old suspect “recently started trying to convert some of his co-workers to the Muslim faith”. The FBI are involved.

The officer who shot Nolen was an off-duty reserve deputy who was chief operating officer at the business.

The first victim was identified as 54-year-old Colleen Hufford.

Mr Lewis told a press conference: “He did kill Colleen and he did sever her head.”

Nolen and the second victim, Traci Johnson, were both in a stable condition, said police.

Mr Lewis said the employee who shot Nolen was a “hero”.

“This guy (Nolen) was definitely not going to stop,” he added.




There were said to be several hundred employees inside the warehouse at the time of the attack.

Sometime in February, at an interactive session– in Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort– with Kayode Fayemi, governor of Ekiti State, one of the participants– as many raised-hands jostled—was picked by the moderator to ask the governor his question. Nicholas Ibekwe, he would announce as his name. With an aura of confidence, he added, “I work with Premium Times.” His voice carried so much energy and his question[s] was punchy. Nicholas appeared as the pugnacious type. You would notice this immediately he began to talk, gesturing more frankly. Where I sat, a close distance to his seat, I nodded in admiration. This guy should replace one of those journalists who babysit Goodluck Jonathan during the presidential media chats. It is not certain if Goodluck will survive Nicholas.

There was something I was going to ask Nicholas after the session.
A month earlier, Nicholas’ Premium Times published an investigative report, Inside Nigeria’s Ruthless Human Trafficking Mafia. It was a report that overwhelmed one with sadness. A few days later, however, critical observers began to expose the faults in the story everybody had bought. The most vocal of these observers was the literary critic, Ikhide Ikheloa. “This story is a faabu,” Ikhide, on his Twitter and Facebook timelines, screamed morning, day, and night. He would eventually produce an article, Tobore Ovuorie’s story: Fact or fiction? The critical pieces of evidence Ikheloa provided in that piece to suggest the story a fiction, are too weighty to be discarded. He ended with the line; ‘There are many reasons to confront this story, its veracity being the least, but still a crucial reason to deal with it. The credibility of a nation is pretty much gone, but once our journalists lose their credibility, it is all over.’
Day in, day out, Ikheloa would not relent. In every of his Facebook post, he pulled out the Managing Editors of Premium Times– Dapo Olorunyomi and Musikilu Mojeed– by the nape of their neck, to apologize to Nigerians for publishing what he called a fake story.
Later that evening in Ikogosi, as participants trooped to the poolside, where we go to lounge, I hastened my movement to meet Ibekwe who was ahead.
“Someone is discrediting an investigative report by Tobore Ovuore, one of your reporters at Premium Times,” I opened the conversation with Nicholas after we had exchanged handshakes. “He calls your bosses out every day in his Facebook mentions to whip them. I don’t like the way Ikhide is going about; rubbishing your newspaper which had become a household name, being a reliable news source.”
I needed a point from Nicholas (the man I had seen as a no-nonsense journalist from Premium Times), which I intended to use in a Facebook post to rebut Ikheloa’s criticism.
Nicholas looked at me, almost dismissively. He, however, managed to tell me that he knew nothing about all that. We couldn’t talk further as I left his side. That was the first and only time I had seen Nicholas Ibekwe.
If you do not know Nicholas Ibekwe, he is currently the most talked about Premium Times journalist who ‘exposed’ the bribery deal between popular Nigerian pastor, T.B Joshua and the journalists who went to his Synagogue Church of All Nation, where a collapsed building killed many. I have followed Nicholas’ tweets as they were consistently retweeted into my Twitter timeline. He is angry about many things; that Lagos Governor Fashola met with Joshua behind closed doors, and after the meeting, dodged reporters, and perhaps his most prioritized anger; how Joshua offered N50,000 bribe to each journalist at the press conference of September 14. He soon released a recording of the bribery deal he had alleged. And then, on the 23rd of September [yesterday], he eventually came out with his story: “Why I exposed T.B. Joshua for bribing journalists.”
So, why did Nicholas publish the audio? “…when I woke up last Saturday morning and saw the picture of President Goodluck Jonathan shaking hands with a grinning TB Joshua with headlines like ‘Jonathan consoles TB Joshua,’ I said damn it! I couldn’t stomach this blatant impunity.”
“Journalists shouldn’t be seen or heard telling the prime suspect they would write ‘just like you said’ after he offered to buy their consciences with N50, 000,” he also said.
I hadn’t listened to the audio. But in Nicholas’ story published in Premium Times, the audio was reproduced. I reached for my earpiece and gave that audio a rapt attention. Four minutes or there about. Perhaps I didn’t get the real thing, I played it again. And then, again. Time wouldn’t allow me, I would have transcribed here. Only first-class thinkers would agree with me. That audio I listened to has nothing to do with a bribery deal. Wait, you can call for my head later. Go back to that audio and listen again! In the audio, we hear Joshua announcing some 750k; to be shared, 50k each to journalists, to fuel their car. Some ask questions about the issue at hand, and Joshua– in a tone that depicts sobriety– answers them. And, as they round off, Joshua asks, ‘So, what are you going to write?’ and they all laugh at what seem a sarcastic remark from Joshua. I laughed, too.
In his story, however, Nicholas argued, “He clearly meant for the money to influence the reporting of the event, ‘So what are you going to write?’” he had asked. That makes it a bribe. Simple.’
Your head is in the air. Such is the problem when you are highly opinionated. By what logical conclusion do we pronounce that bribery?
Let me quickly state that it is wrong for Governor Fashola and President Jonathan to be seen patting Joshua’s shoulder over the collapsed building that was largely his fault. And of course, this is not an attempt to write in defence of Joshua. If you care to know, I may soon renounce my membership of the Pentecostal movement, following many atrocities within this Movement that do not stand well with me.
We are only stupid to assume 750k is money enough a bribe from T.B Joshua to hush journalists. The story was already in the mainstream media. I have watched NEMA PRO on Channels TV lamenting the difficulties they were having with T.B Joshua’s church authority. All had become clearer that there was illegal addition of storeys to the building which eventually resulted in the collapse. And even Joshua himself knows that the ‘hovering craft’ tale is not buyable. So, why exactly would he bribe journalists with 750k?
What is my point? That 50k is appropriately called honorarium. If after the announcement of that 50k for journalists to fuel their car and that Nicholas had rejected, he was then called back to further negotiate an increase, then it becomes a bribe! They are desperate about hiding something! Oxford dictionary helps us with the definition of an honorarium: ‘A payment given for professional services that are rendered nominally without charge.’ T.B. Joshua is no fool to think 750k is okay to bribe journalists so the story is not exposed. That is simply honorarium, and it follows the tradition of the church.
On the other hand, Oxford dictionary says this about bribe: ‘A sum of money or other inducement offered or given to bribe someone.’ Is Nicholas insinuating that 50k to fuel his car poses a bribery threat? Is it that Nicholas couldn’t have accepted that 50k and still go ahead to publish his investigative findings? When such honorariums are doled out, no journalist is held by any obligatory terms to accept. Depending on the circumstances surrounding the story, I, as a [freelance] journalist may accept or reject such honorarium. It would take the next lifetime to have me bribed so I won’t expose a story. If you decide to force the ‘honorarium’ on me, I will take it. I have a network of friends whose stomachs are an empty tank of beer. They will beer with that money and that story you are desperate in hiding from the public would have a smooth ride to the press.
Many people are aware of my affiliation with the APC, and admiration for Kayode Fayemi. The report I did for The Scoop after the Ekiti governorship election did not, in a single sentence, favour APC and the party’s flag-bearer, Fayemi. My editor was worried. He wanted a balanced feel in the report. “Do you mean you couldn’t find anybody who spoke well of the APC candidate?” he asked me before pushing the report for publishing. I knew I could not write it with the bias I have for the APC.
In the May 1994 edition of the American Journalism Review, Alicia C. Shepard writes; ‘Critics say that taking money from groups falling under a reporter’s purview raises all sorts of potential conflicts of interest or, at least, the appearance of one. The money also raises questions about a reporter’s objectivity.’ So, like Nicholas, if I were at the meeting with T.B Joshua, I would have rejected the honorarium offer. But, I will not refer to it as bribe.
The globally recognized Associated Press, AP, recognises this honorarium thing. On its website, under the heading, AP News Values & Principles, we read this: ‘Associated Press offices and staffers are often sent or offered gifts of other items—some of them substantial, some of them modest, some of them perishable—by sources, public relations agencies, corporations and others.’
‘Sometimes these are designed to encourage or influence AP news coverage or business, sometimes they are just ‘perks’ for journalists covering a particular event. Whatever the intent, we cannot accept such items; an exception is made for trinkets like caps or mugs that have nominal value, approximately $25 or less. Otherwise, gifts should be politely refused and returned, or if that is impracticable, they should be given to charity.’
End of discussion? I know some would say this is an attempt to euphemistically rebrand bribe as honorarium. If you are of this thought, I borrow the words of Nicholas and I throw them at you, ‘I can’t help you if you can’t decipher that. I am a reporter not a brain surgeon.’
Well, bribery is a criminal offense. And if Nicholas insists this is a bribe deal, he shouldn’t hesitate in writing the lawyer, Femi Falana, on the need to take this case up.
It is no news, that journalists in Nigeria are underpaid. Nicholas, in his story, admits this. According to www.payscale.com, a [USA] journalist earns an average salary of $36,834 per year. According to me, a Nigerian journalist’s pay in a year is around $6,000. It is not totally a bad pay. What is bad is the delay and irregularities in the payment. While I was covering Osun election, I interviewed an academic, Babatunde Bakare, at the Bowen University. I didn’t know him from anywhere. After the interview, he asked me how I was surviving as a journalist. I told him I have other things that I do that pay my bills. Even though I wasn’t seriously investigating any story, I was just seeking the opinion of an academic on the election, Babatunde felt obliged to give me something to support my transport and logistics. He would later tell me that until his recent appointment as an academic, he was a senior producer/scriptwriter for one of Africa’s largest TVs, AIT. And he wasn’t paid salary in the last ten months he had worked with AIT.
I also stopped taking Sam Nda-Isaiah’s presidential ambition seriously the day I heard he owed his reporters at Leadership Newspaper, four month salary. It took a Twitter/Facebook protest to get Sam to bow to his employees’ demands. These delays, irregularities, underpayment, are not justifiable reasons to accept bribe. No, they are not. These reasons, however, justify the collection of an honorarium, such type that does not mean you should report a black story as white.
Nicholas, then, advises journalists to ‘explore other related and legitimate means of making money like researching, writing, and editing reports for NGO…’ This is the silliest of all advices. Journalism is a professional job. The burden of researching, investigating a story, is already time consuming. News are time bound, and Nicholas risks his job with Premium Times if he fails to beat deadlines for the kind of ‘pending stories’ he mentions in his piece. I make money as a private academic researcher. The months I have more than two research jobs, I suspend my journalistic activities. And the day I become a full time journalist, I should resign as a researcher. Journalistic work is enough work to get enough pay if things were right.
As I conclude, I should raise an issue. After the three day media/blogger interactive forum in Ekiti in February, participants were each offered 50k honorarium by the organizers. My name is Femi Owolabi. I received the N50,000 (of course it never influenced my subsequent criticisms. Many who also accepted the money had asked Governor Kayode Fayemi harsher questions during the forum and even wrote critically about his policies after we had left). However, Stanley Azuakola, the editor of The Scoop and Chinedu Ekeke, the editor of Ekekeee in their separate critical reports, revealed that they politely rejected the N50,000. Out of about thirty participants, Nicholas Ibekwe inclusive, I am yet to read of any other apart from Stanley, Chinedu and Stanley Achonu (the Operations Lead of BudgIT), who didn’t take that N50,000 honorarium. It is, therefore, logical to believe that Nicholas Ibekwe, who now accuses his fellow journalists of bribery when it was honorarium, received such in February in Ekiti.
If he didn’t receive that money, here is my apology in advance.

After you surrendered your life to Jesus, you discovered the pressure of some old nature, or you find some old sinful notions and thoughts coming over and over. The pressure, pleasure and persistence of sin keep coming; if you eventually fall into such pressure, it means the old force has prevailed, and that is a tragic failure.

The truth is that, it is satanic forces that bring the sinful pressure to our minds and members of our bodies to fall back into sin, and the solution is not to succumb but to silent the sinful imaginations and suggestions, and to subdue the sinful nature in your body; Until you start to do that, you will keeping struggling, rising and falling. And how do you do that? It is by daily prayer and Bible reading. When you become a child of God, you need to be more like Christ everyday and be less like Adam, that is the forming of Christ in us, and this continue until we see Christ at the end. The secret is that, when you pray and read your Bible, the sinful old nature and notions are being silent and subdued in you till they have no force on you, and anytime they come up again, we combat through prayer and God's Word. That is the reason Satan will not want you to have time to pray or read Bible. There is heavenly inspiration that comes into our lives whenever we pray and read Bible, and this inspiration helps to silent and subdue sin in us. Satan will want you to be busy, lazy or sleepy not to pray and read your Bible daily. Do you know that we receive inspiration of Holy Spirit when we read Bible, even when we read the chronologies of names we don't understand?

A serious minded Christian must pray daily, at least 30 minutes and grow from there; and he must also read Bible daily, at least 2 chapters. But if you really want to grow faster in the Lord more than others, the secret is, do your personal devotion every morning and evening, twice a day. You must spend 1 hour to pray and read your Bible in the morning before going out, and about 45 minutes to 1 hour in the evening to meditate on God's word and pray before sleeping. By doing this daily, you will grow stronger in the Lord, and the old nature will be disarmed and grow weaker that it will not have force over your thought and deed again.

It is not possible to grow and remain in the Lord without consistent prayer life and Bible reading. When you pray, you pray mostly about your spiritual life, confess your weaknesses to God, ask for grace and strength to refuse, resist and be fruitful in the Spirit. Spending most of your prayer time to pray on physical, financial or material problems will never help your Christian life. Your prayer should center on your spiritual welfare, and physical or financial issues should be last. When you want to read Bible, pray before reading, for the Holy Spirit to give you understanding, then meditate what you read and apply it into your life.

But you need to experience genuine salvation before you can stand and grow in the Lord. If you have been rising and falling in your Christian life, I will advise you rededicate your life to Jesus afresh through repentance and confession, then you can grow thereby.

1 Peter 2:1-3
Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, 2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, 3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

Being a hypocrite does not means you can not gain much money, wealth, you can get to the top or gain materials of this world; being a hypocritical pastor does not means you cannot get many members under your ministry, but everything will perish with you when this world ends.

The foolish care more about getting and gaining in this world, but the wise focus majorly on getting to heaven and gaining eternity; the foolish church preach and pray more about getting prosperity and possessions, but the wise virgin church make eternal gain their priority.

GETTING MUCH FOR NOTHING!
Matthew 16:26, "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?"

You can gain the whole business profit of this world, you can get the greatest job or contract, you can get much possessions in this world, you can gain access to the highest in this world, but what profit if you lose your dear soul in eternal damnation? How can you compare 100 years on earth with unending years of eternity where 1 million year is just the beginning?

Will you be among the popular majority who are giving what they need most for what they need for moment? In a moment, this world will pass away, in a moment rapture will take place, or death comes; and what will be your lot thereafter?

AFTER THEN?
".....If God takes away his life? Will God hear his cry When trouble comes upon him?" Job 27:9,10

There is no amount of prayer of repentance one can pray after death or rapture that God will hear. If you care for your dear soul, this is the time to seek God and find Him, this is the best time to repent and pray God to forgive you and cleanse you, next minute may be too late.

God will not hear prayer after death, it will be too late because "it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment"

Many in the trouble of hell are crying every day for mercy, but it is forever too late. Beloved, do not wait until it is too late before you repent and forsake your sin, do not wait until it is too late before you are ready for restitution. do not wait until it is too late before you are ready for holiness and righteousness; now is the time, the best and only time for you to secure your soul in eternal life with Jesus Christ.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER RAPTURE: THE GREAT TRIBULATION
Do you realize we are in the very end time and this world will soon come to an end? As the Biblical prophesies of the end time are fulfilling right in our eyes and the love of many are becoming cold by the cares and deceptions of the world; the next event we are waiting for is the Rapture, which is the catching away of the saints. As Jesus Christ said, “I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left. 35 Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left. 36 Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left.” Luke 17:34, 35. This event may happen any moment from now.

The big questions are: What happens after the Rapture? What will happen to the unbelievers and careless Christians who miss the Rapture? The Great Tribulation! While the raptured saints will be celebrating the Marriage of the Lord’s Supper with Jesus Christ, and receive rewards over there, the Left-behinds will be suffering Great Tribulation here on earth with Satan. It will be a terrific period of pain and panic that has never existed before. “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. “Matthew 24:20-22

The Great Tribulation will start by the reign of Anti-Christ, a satanic powered personality who will rule the whole world with his evil mark of the beast, 666. “He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Revelation 13:16, 17. Those who refuse the mark will be tormented to death, it will be a horrible period which will be hard to resist, but those who make their stands for Jesus and refuse the mark will make it to heaven after their death. Rev. 7:9, 14. The people that receive the mark will automatically become the enemies of God, they will be given temporal freedom to buy and sell but they are doomed forever.

The better questions to ask are: when will you surrender your life to Jesus? When will you totally rededicate your life to Jesus and settle EVERYTHING with Him? When will you make your way right with God and stand for righteousness in the midst of this unrighteous generation? The answer should be NOW, or never! If you have not genuinely accepted Jesus into your life by becoming a new creature and living above sin, if you are a worldly, careless or modern Christian, if you are afraid or not certain about your eternity, this moment is a greatest time for you to settle everything with Jesus NOW! You are the luckiest person if you are reading this message before the rapture; it means you are still alive; the deaths have no such opportunity, because after death is the judgment. You can’t wait for the Great tribulation, you may die before then, you may not survive it, now is the best and certain time to settle your eternity with God.

You are a Christian? But are you living in line with God's word or in line with the words of modern pastors? Have you settled all and made everything clear before God or there are still some no-go-areas in your life? Any unconfessed sin or unsettled restitution? Any worldliness or compromise? Those Christians who leave some aspects of their live behind unsettled will be left behind on the rapture day.

Your greatest privilege of being alive today is not to make more money but to make your way right with God for genuine salvation of your soul. So what are you waiting for? Repent, rededicate your life to Jesus, restore, recommit, and renew your relationship with the Savior, and be sure of your life after here before it is too late!

Blow the trumpet in Zion,

FALSE KNOWLEDGE
1 Timothy 6:20, “O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge”

The false knowledge in the Christianity of today are the teachings of purpose of life without purity of life, the teaching of principles of life without righteousness of life, and the teaching of prosperity without the priority of the preparation for the second coming of Christ Jesus.

Those who profess and preach these types of knowledge have strayed away from the truth concerning faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Timothy 6:21 - by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith.

The Bible says in the end time knowledge shall increase, but the unfortunate thing here is that the majority of the increased knowledge are false. Knowledge is very important, but what type of knowledge is it? People are seeking for knowledge these days with arid interest and the devil is busy feeding people with false knowledge through their churches and misled preachers.

Purpose of Life
One of the major messages and topics in churches, books, and Christian programs today is purpose of life; the preachers and teachers talk about the purpose of life without taking time to talk about the primary thing which is the priority. Purpose of life, whatsoever it may be, without purity of life is a problem with life. Any purpose in your life without the priority of living a life of purity is a pernicious and destructive pursuit. Before you can get your purpose of life right, you need to surrender your life to Christ Jesus the Author and Finisher of life, and make purity your lifestyle. God is our Creator and Giver of our life; for our lives to have meaning, we need to guide our lives by walking with Him, and the only means by which we can walk with God is purity.

The purpose of living or the purpose of life for every genuine child of God is not to make it in life, it is not to make money or meet our needs, it is not to make it in business or achieve great success in life; our purpose of life is not to buy the latest car or build the best house; but our primary purpose is to do the will of God on earth.
And so have you discovered the purpose of your life or you are being deceived by the disillusioned prosperity and modern preachers whose lifestyles, prayers, preaching are void of purity of life? Do not be among the many deceived but be wise to get your priority right by getting genuine salvation Jesus and your purpose of living to please God in His will, through His Word and for His work.

John 4:34, “Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.”

BE VIGILANT!
1 Peter 5:8, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”

I woke up last night to pray as supposed, but my eyes were heavy and not clear of the sleep so I started running slowly around in the room as I was praying. Then I felt relieved of the sleep, but not too long as I was praying I began to feel asleep again....

Knowing fully well that if I should seat down or lie down I would sleep off, I began the exercise again in the room as I continued praying. After about 1hour my eyes were cleared off the sleep and I felt I could kneel down in front of a chair; as I knelt down praying, not too long I was dozing again, I had to resume jumping around till I almost finished the prayer. I learn a lesson from the incident: Vigilance till the end is very important in Christian race.

After you surrender your life to Jesus, you began the race, overcoming sin, self and satanic devices through the grace of God; you need to continue to be vigilant every time without relaxing because Satan never relaxes on you. When somebody overcomes sin of sexual immorality, Satan will introduce masturbation as if that does not matter.

When you stop fighting, then Satan may bring anger which you must still overcome. When you overcome malice, the devil may bring gossip, after you have overcome telling lies, Satan may bring pretending habit. When you overcome a worldly lifestyle, Satan will introduce another. If care is not taken, you may over look the later and think you are okay.

That is the reason we must be vigilant every time. Many serious, devoted Christians and ministers today are trapped by Satan with little sins which we think do not matter. We may focus on overcoming big sins and claim to be holy, but sins like bitterness, envy, jealousy; gossip, rancor, subtle pride, selfishness, etc may not take our attention except we are very vigilant. God does not demand our 99% righteousness but 100%.

How can we be vigilant?
(1) WATCHFULNESS. We must be watchful every time, every moment over our thoughts, tongues, temper and actions; and ready to heed to correction immediately when the Holy Spirit corrects us.

(2) PRAYER. Daily prayer is very important. We can’t live fervent Christian life without fervent prayer life. In our prayer we confess our weaknesses to God, ask His grace and strength to overcome them. For example, if you want to spend 30 minutes to pray after praises, you should spend at least 20mins to pray on your spiritual life for grace and strength everyday. We should daily pray that God should search us and sanctify us. When you discover an ungodly habit or thought creeping in, take it to God in prayer to be purified.

(3) BIBLE READING. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16, 17. One of the major purposes of Bible reading is to be corrected and cleansed by the Word of God. God’s Word is a light.

So, you see the importance of daily personal devotion of prayer and Bible reading? Don’t relax in your Christian life in the name of being matured Christian and then fall short at the end. I better see myself as a baby Christian and serving God with trembling and carefulness than to relent in the name of being a matured Christian. No room to celebrate victory in Christian race until we get to heaven, Satan does not rest or relent on every serious Christian, he always devising, and so we must always be vigilant! Christian life is not a bed of roses and relaxing in prosperity and convenience, but it’s a batter, a race, a wrestling. But God is there to aid and assist unto the end in Jesus name!

“But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.” 1 Peter 5:10

FEEDING ON THE WRONG MEAL
(Pls read this, even if you are busy)

I saw a picture of a child sucking the breast of a plastic image. In the picture, the child prefers the image’s chocolate breasts to that of his mother's breasts which are only milk. The chocolate breasts of the image look shiny, yummy, freely available at anytime and may be sweeter than the milky breasts of his mum. Definitely the child is attracted to the image’s breasts, but the truth is that he can suck the plastic breasts from morning till evening, he will never get any liquid or nutrition from it, because it is just a plastic image.

The same thing is applicable in our spiritual feedings; the type of messages and teachings you feed on matter, they determine the kind of Christian you become. The Bible says in 1 Peter 2:2 …as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, 3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

The sincere and pure milk of the word of God is the type of messages and Bible teachings that will bring the godly sorrow from you, which will bring genuine repentance in you and help you to grow and be fruitful in the Spirit and prepare you for the rapture.

But out there in most churches today are image’s chocolate- breasts types of messages by modern preachers. They are called motivational messages, prosperity messages, keys to success, unlimited breakthrough, blessed without measure, waves of glory, unspeakable joy of miracles, business enlargement, financial outstanding, blessing at all rounds, total deliverance from household problems, etc. Such messages sound sweet, nice, yummy, cool motivating but they are earthly centered and will never help you grow to holiness and righteous living, they can’t help you to overcome sin, and they can’t prepare you for the rapture; rather they only make you care about this world and how to possess more earthly stuffs and eventually land in hell fire.

Some churches today rarely talk about rapture, about the second coming of Jesus and the Great Tribulation, they don’t care to warn you against the danger of sin and hell fire; but they keep psyching you up with sweet and nice messages of blessings, prosperity, breakthrough, unlimited success, earthly glory, new miracles and favour; then you feel high and scream, “huuu, aaahhhh, yeahhhhhh” you feel comfortable in your sins, now you are even confident in your sin since they have ordained you minister or worker in the church. (To God, you may just be a worker of iniquity.) They don’t care how godly and pure you are, they only care for your financial, career and material well being. They tell you what you want to hear, not what you need to hear. They psych you up, motivate you, and tell you to keep on dancing, but to where?

They focus on your financial, material progress than your spiritual progress; it’s majorly about prosperity than purity. Such messages may be sweet, calming and lovely to you by your lovely preachers, G.Os or Bishops, but the bad news is that they are poison to your soul. Because they want to lure and psych you, they tell you half truth of sweet, lazy aspect that will cost you no self-discipline, just claim and cash! They tell you grace without truth, faith without work, justification without godliness, heaven without holiness, power without purity, and God’s promises without godly relationship. They say, “You should know your rights in Christ, you have authority, all promises for you…” But they rarely challenge you to your responsibility to live blameless life of holiness, to deny sin and self as a child of God.

Don’t be deceived by the chocolate, sugarcoated, motivating messages that cannot produce godliness and holiness in your life. ENOUGH OF THIS END TIME DECEPTION IN YOUR LIFE, THEY CAN KEEP DECEIVING OTHERS, BUT YOU MUST REFUSE TO BE SPIRITUALLY STUPID. Seek for the sincere and pure word of God, and be prepared, for the KING can come any moment from now. Are you prepared to meet Him?

HOW TO BE SAVED AND START A NEW LIFE IN JESUS!

Dear reader, it’s by God’s mercy to exist to this time, Satan’s plan for us is to die in sin and doom forever in hell fire. Without genuine salvation, there is no way we can escape the judgment of God, so count it as a great privilege to have this opportunity, and so you need to make the best use of it for your salvation and new life in Jesus.


How can you have genuine salvation that will guarantee eternal life with Jesus and grant you the grace to overcome sin, Satan and self? Please follow the following steps:


No Excuse, but admit it.

If truly you need God’s mercy to pardon your sins and give you grace to overcome them, then you need to face it by yourself and acknowledge your sin. Don’t excuse sin because everybody is doing it - in your church (even your pastors, parents or partners), in your family, in your place of work, etc. Don’t says, “Does that means everybody doing it will go to hell fire?” Yes, everybody can go to hell and God will still be righteous. Jesus said instead of you to be thinking how many will be saved, YOU strife to be saved NOW. Don’t excuse sin because of its popularity, it’s in person - you, face it. And sin is sin, either small or great, there is no difference, you just be sincere and confess it.


Psalm 51:3

For I acknowledge my transgressions,

And my sin is always before me.

4 Against You, You only, have I sinned,

And done this evil in Your sight


Make a Genuine Confession

Do you wonder why you’ve made several confessions of your sins and yet you still have guilt of those sins, you still go back into such sins, and your salvation is not certain or you find yourself going back into your sins? It’s simple: you didn’t make genuine confession. Genuine confession is not just using the name of Jesus, not answering alter call and so on. Take the next 2 steps that lead you to genuine salvation in Jesus Christ:


First Repent before You confess.

There are many fake confessions, but if you sincerely want to make acceptable confession, you must first repent. No need for you to confess if there is no repentance in you. Repentance is thoughtful realization of your sins and determination to forsake them. If you confess without readiness to forsake the sins you confess, you are simply wasting your time, and the sins will soon get you down. To repent is not to be sorry for your sins, if you are sorry without readiness to forsake all, you will have a sorry case and that is not a genuine salvation. Humble yourself before God now and surrender all.


Proverbs 28:13 He who covers his sins will not prosper,

But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.


Pray It All

Now all you need to do is to go before in prayer as you confess your sins and ask God to forgive you through His Son Jesus Christ. Tell Him you are sorry for how you have lived and all you have done, ask Him to cleanse you by the Blood of Jesus and give you a new heart and a new spirit. He will do it as He has promised in His Word saying, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:8-9.


Now is the time for your salvation! Do not delay further, do it now, don’t allow Satan to distract or delay you, because another chance may not come. You can pray the prayer for the next 5 to 10 minutes.


Have you prayed the prayer for your salvation? Then let me pray with you:

“Lord Jesus, thank You for dying for our sins, thank You for coming to seek us and counting us worthy to be saved. You promised that if we come to You, You will not cast us away; that if we admit and confess our sins, no mater how many and how terrible, You will forgive and cleanse us. So I pray for this beloved, as s/he has repented, confessed and asked for Your forgiveness, save her/him and give her/him a new nature of Yours to live for You from today. Thank You Lord because You have answered, for we prayed in Jesus name. Amen.”


Now You Are saved!

Now, you are saved, you are born again with a new life by Jesus Christ. You need to start the new life guided by God’s Word. You have to disassociate and detach yourself from old lifestyle; old things that are not according to God’s Word and friendship that can pull you back to old life in sin. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” You can’t continue in your old lifestyle anymore, you are now a genuine, heaven recognized child of God and your life must be guided by His Word. You need to be reading Bible every day and praying about your new life. You should be reading at least 2 chapters of Bible everyday and take time to pray for your spiritual growth and daily strength; you can start from Matthew chapter 1. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you understanding before you read and pray after you finish reading. Pray for God’s grace and Spirit to live daily according to His word and to overcome every temptation on your way, and be watchful every time at every situation in your new life in Jesus!


As you have now started a new life in Christ Jesus, heaven is rejoicing over you as your name is written in the Book of Life. Look only unto Jesus, not any man or any pastor. There are many false teachings everywhere because we are in end time, so let the Bible be your supreme guide!

WHY MANY CHRISTIANS WILL MISS THE RAPTURE!
“Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. Luke 13:24

Since Rapture will not happen twice, but once, wise Christians will do more to focus and strive to be counted worthy. Why will many miss the rapture even after they are born again and serving God? Here are 7 common reasons in which any of them can hold back a Born again Christian:

(1) UNDONE RESTITUTION Acts 24:16
After you are genuinely saved, there may be some wrongs of the past that need to be corrected in your present new life in Jesus. Restitution includes restoring things wrongly acquired, revealing lies and deceptions and reconciling with people we offended, and also forgiving with all our hearts people who offended us, no matter how terrible. Forgiveness from the heart is part of restitution and many Christians, ministers of God will miss rapture and heaven just because of un-forgiveness and bitterness. Matthew 6:14, 15.

UNPAID & INESSENTIAL DEBT, when you have the power to pay but postponing or does not want to pay, this can hinder Christians from being raptured or entering heaven. And a serious minded Christian will be wary of unnecessary debts of buying inessential stuffs in credit.

(2) JUST A LITTLE SIN Galatians 5:9
Many will miss rapture and entrance to heaven not because they are not born again and serving God, not because they are committing serious sins, but just because of a little, besetting sin, just little but too heavy to hold people down from making rapture. Can you imagine that wearing tight clothes, tops that show a woman's cleavage or transparent clothes would hinder so many godly sisters from making the rapture? When the Holy Spirit calls your attention to the little sin, you excuse yourself that it doesn’t matter, everybody is doing it or it is your own weakness since everybody has a weakness. It may be little anger, envy, jealousy, even in the work of God. Little, little lies, using people’s or your office’s materials for your personal purpose without taking permission. You think it doesn’t matter? It does. Let’s repent NOW. Common sins will commonly hinder common Christians and ministers back.

(3) LITTLE WORLDLINESS 1 John 2:16
Little worldliness will hinder so many Christians from making the rapture. This little worldliness does not matter to many Christians and churches today. The worldly music which you call normal, worldly movies, magazines (fashion, entertainment or pornography), TV programs inspired by Satan (American Idol, African Idols, Big Brother Africa, MTN Project Fame, Gulder Ultimate Search, Dance shows, African magic, animated cartoon, etc. ) Also worldly dress (wearing tops, blouses that show the trace of your breasts as a woman or that reveals your back, tight, transparent or shot dress) Many Christian women are tapped by Satan with worldly dress unknowingly but they will know after the rapture. Those who have died have gotten to know already but too late.

(4) OVER CONFIDENCE 1 Corinthians 10:12
Over-confidence will hinder many believers from entering heaven. You see the shortcoming of others without seeing yours, without daily searching your life with the Word of God and prayer for forgiveness and daily sanctification. This category of people believe they can never make mistake after they are saved, they believe they are once and entirely sanctified and no need for daily prayer for cleansing and sanctification, they are bound in bountiful hypocrisy which is one of the most terrible sins- hypocrisy. Believing that you can’t make mistake after you are saved is a serious mistake. Tenderness and watchfulness serve better.

(5) UNCONFESSED SIN 1 Timothy 5:24
Unconfessed sin remains a secret sin. You did something wrong and you realize it and confessed to God but concealed it from people, you refuse to confess to necessary partners or people even after the Holy Spirit has ministered to you to expose it, you are listening to the wrong preachers and your wrong motive and defending yourself that you have confessed to God so that should settle it. This will block many ears from hearing the sound of the Trumpet of rapture. Please, you must confess to one another, James 5:16, as the case may be, why will you miss rapture just because of this little shortcoming?

(6) LITTLE COMPROMISE 1 Corinthians 5:6
Little compromise at workplace, in your business, to get contract, job or promotion; little compromise to get your documents and papers - being smart. Little compromise in examination hall, in marital relationship or in your tithes and offerings; these little, little, overlooked stuffs will hold and hinder many Believers and Ministers from making heaven. If you are careful, the compromise of your society, of your church and idolized Pastors will not infect and affect you.

(7) LACK OF LOVE 1 John 4:8
Do you think it’s possible to make heaven without love? And does your life shows the love of Christ? Please read 1 Corinthians 13:1-8. Most churches and Christians lack love. Love is kindness and expresses goodness to all men, especially brethren, it helps and shares. The syndrome of “sowing” into the lives of big pastors, the several church projects and personal projects have blinded many Christians from loving and helping people around them.

Purity without love is hypocrisy, love without purity is lust, but real purity means PURE LOVE. Christian life without love is hypocrisy.

Please, we should all search our lives with the light of God’s Word, let’s repent now and confess and correct everything as the Holy Spirit calls our attention. Irrespective of our spiritual attainments and positions, God is not a respecter of any man. As long you still see yourself as a little child in God’s hand, you must be humble and careful enough to look into your life. Let’s ask God to sanctify us, and let’s also be more watchful from now, be more vigilant and prayerful everyday as we ask for God’s grace and mercy to be counted worthy, we all need these, we are all striving and no man is a superman, until we get to heaven. May God help us and see us through to the end in Jesus name.

Where will you be after the rapture?

DO NOT WORRY!
Matthew 6:31, “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’

This is a straight command from Jesus Christ to all His children, "Do not worry" Worry does not solve problem, it does not settle situation, but it weakens people and worsens things. To be worried is to be disturbed and anxious about thing, situation or people.

DANGERS OF WORRY!
(1) It kills faith. When you allow worry, you are burring your faith alive.
(2) It distracts Christians from putting their total trust in God.
(3) It brings discouragement. Worry only shows you how impossible and terrible things are, worry can not encourage you or give you right solution, but only to make you discouraged.
(4) It weakens prayer life. Worry weakens prayer life, it shows you that prayer can't solve the matter on ground; it tells you God is not or will not help. The major assignment of worry is to weak prayer life; when you allow worry to linger in your heart, your prayer life will be lost.
(5) It leads to sinful alternative. When worry is almost through with its assignment in a Christian's life, there will begin suggestions of sinful alternatives; since your faith is weak, your prayer life is down, the next thing is to think of sinful alternative. That is how many Christians backslide.

{You cannot wait on God while you are worried! Worry drains and dries strength to wait on God}

(6) It destabilizes health, relationship, and zeal for God's work.

(7) It is from Satan. Do you ever wonder where worry originates from? Well, it is not from Jesus, because Jesus warns us never to worry; worry is a spirit from Satan to steal your hope in Christ, to kill your faith and to destroy your life. Please, do not allow him.

If you are a child of God, worrying is like shooting yourself in the foot, because it only brings harms and no good.

SOLUTIONS FOR WORRY
Worry is not something that you have to invite before it comes, it will always come uninvited, because it is an emotional intruder; it will always come no matter your spiritual level and strength. But there are ways to block worry, that it will never have a chance in your life again.

From Matthew 6:25-34, we can find these solutions:
Rest On God And Resist The Devil
When things are running down, when time is running out, and when people are running here and there, you just rest on God, because God is right there with you. Never entertain devil's suggestion of worry, but resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Matthew 6:31, 32
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things."

Pray About Everything
You have a choice: Pray or worry! You can't do both together, because one of the most stupid things a Christian can do is to pray and worry at the same time. Do not worry after you pray. You can worry without prayer, but no need to worry after you pray. Pray and never panic again.

Philippians 4:6

Make Heaven Your Priority
When you make heaven your first priority, whatever happens or does not happen in this life will not lead you to sin against God; when the kingdom of God is your priority, situation of this life will not weigh you down from doing God's work. You have read about saints of old who kept serving and working for God despite difficulties? It was possible for them because they made heaven their primary focus.

CONCLUSION
Whatever the case may be, here is a message for you from your Lord and Savior: Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. - Jesus Christ, from Matthew 6:31-34.

HE CARES, YES HE DOES!

DON’T BE BITTER
The greatest defeat a child of God can experience from the mistreatment of people is to harbor bitterness in his heart. As a child of God, when you allow bitterness in your heart because of the wrongdoing or misbehavior of people, it will poison your spiritual life, hampers your free relationship with the people, and it hinders unsaved people who offend you from coming to God; because bitterness will hinder you from praying for them and from loving them.

Bitterness is poisonous and pernicious, because it is within, right in the heart, and it may not be easily noticed outside. Acts 8:23, “For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity.” Bitterness is as a result of people wrong talking or treatment of people, which actually goes beyond the flesh and blood. Bitterness is a satanic weapon against the children of God, and many within and outside the church are trapped, even against one another among the brethren. Even when you do not revenge, fight back, talk back or retaliate against people who mistreat, offend or speak against you, if care is not taken, you may be bitter in your heart against them by grudge, and in such case, Satan has won the battle.

Bitterness is a little sin, but so large to hinder a child of God from making heaven. As it is common among unbelievers, so it is among believers and mostly among "mature" Christians. It is subtle but destructive. If it is not settled at once, It leads to anger, evil speaking, slander and malice. It hinders one's prayer, free fellowship with one another and it hinders one from making heaven.

The only remedy and means to block bitterness from gaining access into our hearts is to overlook offenses and forgive freely. Don't mind, don't enumerate what people do against you, just forgive and escape bitterness. We must also pray daily for cleansing and grace to overcome such subtle sins.

Ephesians 4:31, 32
"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you."

HOW TO PRAY EFFECTIVELY
“The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” James 5:16

Prayer is a very important weapon and way of life for every Christian. Christian race starts with prayer, grows with prayer and even ends with prayer. The sad case is that as more Christians are embanking on more prayers, as there are more programs for prayers, more prayer meetings, prayer grounds an...d mountains; as there are more people taking interest in praying to God, but there are less effective prayers. More people praying, more prayers being prayed but less prayers being effective and so we are seeing little effect of our large amount of prayers. It is not about praying that matters, it is not about more prayers that avails much, it is only effective prayer. So, before you throw yourself into more prayer, take time to learn how to pray effective prayer.

E F F E C T I V E – P R A Y E R
(1) Turn Righteous. To pray effectively, you must turn to a righteous life. This starts when you repent and turn away from your sins, then turn to new righteous life in Jesus Christ our Lord. It is not just fasting that makes prayer to be effective nor going to a big man of God; it’s living a righteous life, confessing and forsaking every sin, no matter how small. Clearing away any spot of sinful blemish and freely forgiving others is righteous living. Only the prayer of the righteous avails much. Let’s first take more time to grow in righteous living in Christ Jesus before we take more time to pray.

(2) Tune to Praises. When you totally dedicate your life to Jesus, you have assurance that whatever you ask God through Jesus, He will answer; this confidence makes you to give more praise unto God in your prayer time than petitioning. For the prayer of a righteous person in Christ to be effective, he must learn to praise and worship God before and after requesting.

(3) Take First Thing First. To pray effectively, you must be a righteous man and take the kingdom of God and His righteousness as your first priority. In your prayer life, you should take your righteous living first, spend more time to pray for God’s grace to live righteous life; confess your spiritual weakness to God and ask for strength to overcome sin and self. Then you should spend the little time remaining to pray on your physical, financial, marital, material, medical and other needs.

Do you wonder why spending more time to praise and pray for purity while you have a lot of urgent needs and issues? God knows all your needs even before you ask, what you need is more righteous living and praising God. Take more time to praise God and pray on your life of purity than praying on your problem, because it is not much prayer on your problem that will solve your problem but effective prayer of the righteous.

Lastly, don’t waste your precious time praying against witches, wizards, they are under your feet when you praise God and live righteous life, you just need to command them in Jesus name and they flee.

“Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” James 5:16
