dragunov:Who is talking about presidency here? Did what is happening in the Southeast start because of an Igbo man not winning the presidency? I don't really know how you guys reason. |
ICTspecialist:Bunch of insincere and unfair people like you will never tell yourselves the truth! The TRUTH is all that we need to set ourselves free. |
Inspirer1:The hostility between the two groups is already there because of how the government, the police and the military treated this issue from the onset. You don't look at what is happening now, look at what prompted it. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. So, if object A acts a force upon object B, then object B will exert an opposite yet equal force upon object A. That's simple! |
Ndimkpurummiri:Why did you highlight that area in red? |
goran3310:Lucky how? The husband is so unfortunate for marrying a generously loose woman. |
Galinton:Are you being serious right now? How can you mention IPOB as the problem of Nigeria if you are not being a hypocrite? Before the killings going on in the Southeast at the moment started, the IPOB had been all about peaceful protests, but the Nigerian army started killing them even when they were unarmed. I guess you were here then, but never condemned the brutality and the inhumane treatment the army meted on them. Let me tell you, there is an extent you will push an innocuous chicken; it'll turn back and attack you. If the people in authority are serious about finding a lasting solution for what's going on right now in the Southeast, they should tackle the root cause, which is the injustice.

loffyloffy:Don't be a hypocrite. Can you just hear yourself? The definition of a hypocrite is a person who sees the speck of sawdust in other person's eye but pay no attention to the plank in his own eye. Upon all that APC did with their blackmail, name calling and so on During GEJ's time, and during Buhari's time. The terror and intimidation they unleashed on people during the election period, you still didn't see anything wrong with any of those but fixated on obedients that have not hurt anyone. You really need help. See this Bayelsan lady that was brutalized in Lagos by APC minions just because she wanted to vote her own choice of candidate during the election.

Today the same professor who called the then first lady unprintable names is saying that Peter Obi is unfit because of a few well deserved yabis thrown his way. If hypocrisy was a person! |
Remain blessed egbon! Even though some insincere people called you omo ale just because you decided to stand on the side of reason, justice and fairness. A mock coffin was even constructed and GEJ put inside! The man just laughed! That cultist professor called GEJ''s wife "Shepopotamous", body shaming her, and also called her lot of other unprintable names! Never witnessed political pettiness to that order! |
No Political party enjoyed opposition like APC. They cursed at Jonathan and his family everyday - Comedian Mr Macaroni calls out ruling party Comedian Mr Macaroni has taken a swipe at the ruling All Progressives Congress over current challenges bedeviling the country. In a post he shared, he stated that no party in Nigeria has enjoyed opposition like them. Mr Macaroni further claimed that they protested all the time while pointing out how the ruling party also allegedly cursed former President Goodluck Jonathan and his family while in opposition. He also said that if APC knew what the people deserved back then, they should have no problem understanding what the people want and deserve now. Mr Macaroni posted on social media; No Political party enjoyed opposition like APC! They cursed at Jonathan and his family everyday. Nobody protest reach them. If APC knew what the People deserved back then, they should have no problem understanding what the people want and deserve now! The people are suffering! The Government should WAKE UP!!!

JagabanB:Stop telling us about your family in a faceless forum. Most of us here are big in whatever sense, but we don't go around boasting about it in a faceless forum. The way you sleep and wake up on Nairaland is evident that you are a political hired troll who is trying so hard to justify his meagre remuneration. And I am quite sure you are a small boy. |
JagabanB:You are Yoruba, stop lying and fooling yourself at the same time. Ostrich! |
rotadeco27:Igbos have always voted others who are not from their region. But at the same time a Yoruba, Olusegun Obasanjo was contesting for president, Ojukwu was also contesting, the Igbos would have supported Ojukwu because he was their own, but they chose to vote for Olusegun Obasanjo. Yara 'dua was not Igbo but the Igbos voted for him, Jonathan was not Igbo, but the Igbos supported him with all their strength and might. That's to show you their detribalized nature. But only this time that they decided to vote Peter Obi, not because he is Igbo, but because he is the best and what the nation needed at this time because of how abysmal the APC government has been in the last 8 years of Buhari, they now term them tribalist. |
johnjose68:This your rabid input has clearly shown where you belong. Please, take it easy with so much harbored bitterness because it could kill. |
JagabanB:So Soludo and the likes who are of the Igbo tribe who did not support Peter Obi are Yorubas right? I just figured that you are among those Yoruba tribalists I am talking about. You see the speck of sawdust in other's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye. |
Thank God that there are still certain individuals from the Yoruba stock who are reasonable, rational and commonsensical. Sometimes when I want to write how I feel about the Yoruba tribe, seeing how tribalistic most of them have become just because Bola Tinubu is from their tribe, I refrain when I see that some of them still stand for truth, justice and fairness. I will never put all of them in one sack, because you have good and bad people from every tribe. May God bless our HUMAN RACE! |
Lere Olayinka, a former media aide to former Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose, has thrown jabs at Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka, over his recent attacks on Peter Obi. In a post shared on his X handle, Lere shared a screenshot of a newspaper cover page of Soyinka tackling former President Goodluck Jonathan. ‘’Jonathan worse than Nebuchadnezzar- Soyinka' the newspaper cover page read According to Lere, Soyinka attacked the Former President when he was still speaking about Nigeria. Lere opined that now, Soyinka is more concerned about “a certain individual” called Peter Obi. When Prof Wole Soyinka was still speaking about Nigeria.Lere Olayinka - Aresa 1

This Wike stooge thinks this is something for gara-gara. After June 16, we would now know whether a mere local government chairman has become bigger and stronger than a whole state governor. |
Bamss1:You are the one not being realistic. I know you are saying what you are saying just because of your support for the person in power. Prices of things that was 40k 2 years ago have gone astronomically up to and above 400k https://www.nairaland.com/8099116/samsung-ac-price-2015-vs |
I don't like to say "God punish you" but these guys really deserve God's punishment. How can a human being who is living in Nigeria, open his mouth to utter such a lie, just because of politics or because of some favors he expects to get. With all the sufferings people are going through, and with the prices of basic commodities skyrocketing because of the inefficiency of this Tinubu government and their trial-and-error policies, and this guy is coming to say this sort of thing. |
From the horse's mouth, this is the price for inconsistency, a country where people with the lowest IQ is at the helm of affairs, a country so deeply divided by ethnicity that morons are placed at sensitive posts, smaller countries in Africa are getting things right, while we are playing politics, with almost everything, including security. |
Total Energies chose Angola over Nigeria for $6 billion energy project due to policy inconsistencies Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TotalEnergies, Patrick Pouyanne, has explained why they will be investing $6 billion in energy projects in Angola instead of Nigeria. Explaining why they took the decision, Pouyanne who spoke with panellists of the Africa CEO in Kigali, Rwanda, said the inconsistency in policy making decisions led to the diversion of the project from Nigeria to Angola, a country with a more stable policy framework. He also stated that while Niger Delta is the most productive region in West Africa, the erratic policy environment has made investment untenable. He said; “Nigeria loves to open topics without closing them. You love to debate. There is always a new legislature in Nigeria about a new petroleum law. When you have such permanent debates, it’s difficult for investors looking for long-term structure to know what direction to go. “In reality, the Niger Delta is the most prolific part of West Africa. But if you look at what happened, because of these debates, there has not been a single exploration in Nigeria for 12 years. “It’s important to have a debate and then settle it and put a framework on the table that investors can trust. “We have countries that have perfectly integrated policies like Angola. So, we go to Angola and announced a very large $6 billion projects in the beginning of the week because there their framework is stable. So we know where we go.” Pouyanne also listed insecurity and the lack of human capital as the two main issues hindering investment in Nigeria. He added; “What are the challenges? Security comes first. For a CEO like me, security of my people is of utmost important. Fortunately, we have customs in the Niger Delta to deal with it. “We also have finding talent has a difficulty. In some countries like Nigeria and Rwanda, we find difficult to find talent. Some of them have difficulty in education. And we can contribute to that. That’s some of the things we do, training people.” https://nairametrics.com/2024/05/20/why-total-energies-chose-angola-over-nigeria-for-6-billion-energy-project-ceo-pouyanne/#:~:text=%E2%80%9CWe%20have%20countries%20that%20have,we%20go%2C%E2%80%9D%20Pouyanne%20said. https://businessday.ng/energy/article/why-totalenergies-picked-angola-over-nigeria-for-6bn-project/ |

99.99% of them voted for the Agulu fraud. They are disgrace to humanity. It is a shame that we share the same country with fraudsters and ugm. The people whose only legacy is to line the floor of thousands of prisons all over the world.
