R E L I E F ! Exodus 8:15, “But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and did not heed them, as the LORD had said.” You found yourself in trouble beyond your ability, or beyond what you could bear, then you cried to God for help and promised to serve Him with all your heart and life, in holiness for the rest of your life, if only He could rescue you. You got into serious needs and embarrassment above your human power or solution, then you cried unto God, that if He could do this for you and remove the shame, that you would surrender all your life to Him and serve Him, and do His work, preach His word everyday and night. Then God listened to your prayer and did as you requested. But after you are relieved from the problem, pain or punishment, you forgot your promise to God? Such relief which made you to forget your promises to serve God and walk is a short relief and it will shortly bring destruction. When God punished Pharaoh for his own sin of arrogance, the punishment was too painful that he cried to God and promised to obey God if He could stop the punishment. “Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, “Entreat the LORD that He may take away the frogs from me and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may sacrifice to the LORD.”9 And Moses said to Pharaoh, “Accept the honor of saying when I shall intercede for you, for your servants, and for your people, to destroy the frogs from you and your houses, that they may remain in the river only.” 10 So he said, “Tomorrow.” And he said, “Let it be according to your word, that you may know that there is no one like the LORD our God.” Exodus 8:8-10. But immediately Pharaoh was relieved of the problem and pain, he hardened his heart and continued in his old way. “But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and did not heed them, as the LORD had said.” Exodus 8:15. To his detriment, greater calamities overtook him. God gives relief from problem or pain so that we can quickly repent and turn to Jesus Christ. This relief is like a golden chance, a time of grace. It is also like a second chance for those who have turned away from God and got caught in the web of Satan. The reality of this relief is that it’s a temporal period of grace, relief doesn’t last forever; it is when you make good use of it that real lasting time of refreshment comes from God, but when it is misused, as Pharaoh did, worst calamities ensue. Relief can come in form of healing from terrible sickness; God heals you so that you can have a better chance and health to serve Him then, so you can surrender your life to Him and serve Him with health and body in holiness and righteousness. But if after you have been healed, you continue in your sin, then worst thing will shortly overtake you. If you have ever received healing from Jesus Christ, it is not because of your righteousness or power, it is not because of what you did for God; it is because of a purpose – God heals you so that you can surrender your life to Him in genuine salvation and serve Him with that health. You may be a sinner and receive healing from Jesus, yes He does that, He heals you so that you can serve Him. A sick man who did not even recognize Jesus was met by Jesus in the temple, Jesus Christ healed him, and, “Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.” John 5:14. Relief from God can come in form of financial blessings, provision of job, clean financial opportunity, material things, so that you can use them to serve God more better than before, so that you can use them for God’s work of evangelism and to help people. But if after you get the blessing, you begin to use it for your personal and selfish purpose, or the blessing has even distracted you from serving God, the business or job has made you not to have time for your daily devotion or time for God’s work, then destruction is at hand. Such a person will soon experience poverty in all ramification with terrific destruction. Relief can also come in form of human blessings. You said, “God, if you can give me a godly wife” You said, “God, if you can give me a godly husband” Or you said, “God if you can give me children” Then you said, “I promise to consecrate my life to You more than before, and forever. I will preach Your word everyday. I will throw myself into Your service, I will serve You with that wife, husband or children” Then God was entreated by your prayer and did as you prayed. But what about your vow of consecration now? You found yourself in a serious trouble, legal case, storm of life or terrible crisis more than you can handle; you called upon the Lord and promised that if He would rescue you this time, you will surrender your life totally unto Him, you will walk in His way of holiness and righteousness, that you will serve Him with everything you have and with all your life. And God listened to your supplication, He did as you said. Now after you are relieved and rescued, and the siege is over, you have forgotten your vow and promise to God. Are you not fooling yourself and forcing God’s judgment upon your own head by your own hands? Vow or promise to God can be a simple or small matter, in fact everyone of us has made one or two promises to God at different particular time; it can be you are in a journey, traveling on road or in the air, and things got worst, then you quickly promised God that if He would see you through the journey, you will serve Him. It may be you were looking for admission, and you promised God that you would serve Him if He got you the admission, that you will be crazy for Him, in serving and preaching His word. And now, here you are, you have forgotten because you are relieved? How come you are deceiving yourself by giving financial offering to your church or to a minister of God, but you refused to give yourself to God in re-dedication and holiness? How dare are you cheating on God? You made an agreement with God to surrender all to Him and serve Him if He would do that thing for you, and after you got what you asked from God, you turned your back. Is it a simple matter to you to cheat and mock God? If you dare not cheat your President or General of Army, how come you think you can cheat God and go score-free? Is God a man? Vow or promise to God is far more than giving or donating huge amount of money to a church or a man of God; it’s more than buying something for a church or a man of God, and it is beyond building houses for a church or a minister of God. The major and most important vow or promise God is expecting you to pay to Him, the reason why God brought relief for you and rescued you from that problem is for you to surrender your life to Him and to serve Him with your time and strength by living for Him in holiness and righteousness, by preaching His word to all men. The payment of financial vow is the least and last. The first thing God needs from you is your life, the paramount thing He wants from you is your salvation and sanctification. That was the reason He healed you and kept you to this day; that was the reason He rescued you and blessed you. Your pastors and church may be so particular about you making financial vow, they may be majorly concerned about you paying your financial vow, but all your vow of offerings, payment of monetary vow, buying or buildings for God's works are just useless if you have not surrendered your life to Jesus Christ in genuine salvation and holiness of life. God is not asking you to pay vow of money if you have not forsaken your sin; God does not need your offerings of vow if you are still living in your sin. God does not need your sacrifice of praises and thanksgiving if you still continue in your old lifestyle, what is the use to God? Isaiah 1:11, 13, 16, 17. “To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?” Says the LORD. “I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fed cattle. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, Or of lambs or goats. Bring no more futile sacrifices; Incense is an abomination to Me. The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies— I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting. “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil, Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow." The reasonable service God demands from you is your life. Romans 12:1, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service." For you to be alive to this day is by God’s mercy, relieving you from all attacks so that you can surrender your life to Him and serve Him. If you fail to make use of your time of relief to repent from all sins, to rededicate your life to Him; if you fail to discontinue in ungodly habit, if you fail to consecrate your life to Him in serving Him and preaching His word, then the next event will be eternal regret. Isaiah 55: 6, 7 “Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.”

THE SECRETS OF SIN AND SERVING GOD …….lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices. 2 Corinthians 2:11 Maybe you recently surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, that you began to experience that uncommon and genuine salvation, or you have been in this glorious experience of new life in Jesus for long, we all need to understand these two important secrets, the devices of Satan to push us into sin, and to pull us back from serving God. The Devices of Pushing Into Sin The secret of sin is that behind every sin is an assigned demon, no sin without a demon, no matter how little, even a little lie. The pressure and persuasion to commit sin that seems like you can’t resist it is the influence of demonic spirit. When you determined not to do something sinful again and you found yourself right in the middle of that sin; when you made strong resolutions and decisions not to commit sin again and sooner or later you found yourself doing exactly what you detested, and after you surrendered your life to Jesus to start a new life, later you found yourself going back into those sins you have confessed; it is not ordinary, there is a force beyond human power, pressurizing you. Paul said, “For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do…..But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.” Romans 7:15, 23. Another secret is that those demons persuading you to commit the sins, if you yield and commit the sins, they are the same demons who will torment you when those sins take you to hell. I think you know that people are being tormented in hell? It is not Angels of God who torment people in hell, but the same demons working under Satan. S O L U T I O N ? Knowing the secret of a problem will amount to nothing if there is no solution. The Solution: First you need to repent from ALL sins by realizing they are wrong and ready to forsake them. Being ready is not just in words but in deed. You detach yourself from any link or trace to sins. You can’t repent for a particular sin and continue in the rest, you need to repent from all and then confess all. Ask Jesus to forgive you all sins and cleanse you, no matter how small. Then you start reading your Bible everyday, early in the morning and evening, at least two chapters a day, and praying for God’s grace and strength everyday to overcome. And when the pressure, the temptation, to commit sin comes again, when the feeling is overwhelming on you, maybe to get angry, drink, have sex, masturbate or lie, whatever it may be; you know what you are going to do? Resist the feeling. How? Just hold the feeling, don’t yield to it. The demon is around again, you must behave as if you are looking at him. The good news is that the demon can’t force you and he can’t stay long. He will not stay more than few minutes and the feeling will disappear. But during those few minutes it will be as if you will die if you don’t yield or you can’t survive resisting it. It is a lie, just recall God’s Word during those minutes. Keep praying for God’s grace and strength to overcome everyday, it is a day at a time! The Secret of Serving God After you rededicated or re-devoted your life to Jesus, you want to serve God, you want to please God, you want to pray more, you want to read God’s Word more; you want to preach God’s Word. But then you feel empty. When you want to pray, before you pray for 5 minutes you are empty, before you read few verses of Bible you feel empty. Your heart is wondering about. It is like your prayer can’t be answered, as if you are not meant to be strong in the Lord, as if you can’t be strong in prayer, as if God hates you or you are not a child of God. Has it happened to you before? What next came to your mind? "STOP!" That you should, “stop the prayer, the reading Bible, the new life in Jesus. You will always fumble, you are not meant for such life. You are naturally week and God is not really looking for such people like you.” The secret is such thought is not just ordinary; it is from the devil to discourage you from moving forward, and know who the devil is? Father of lies. SO WHAT IS THE SOLUTION? Don’t stop. You are praying and you feel empty and wondering about? Don’t stop, continue the prayer, God understand your weakness. The secret is that before you know, you will feel filled by the Spirit before you finish the prayer. The secret is that the first few minutes of prayer, praises or Bible reading are likely to be distracted and discouraged; but if you don’t stop you will be filled, full and stronger. The same thing is applicable in your new life in Jesus, in your re-devotion, re-dedication and consecration to God. It will first be un-natural, boring, discouraging, and cumbersome as if you can’t stay long, as if you can’t survive or sustain to the end, as if you can’t understand everything or be holy. Did you remember when you got your first mobile phone and going through the manual? It was as if you would not get the functioning right, but now you are almost an expert, and how? Because you didn’t stop using and practicing the phone. So also if you don’t stop in your new devotion to Jesus, you will get better and stronger. It is applicable to everyone, both the people in the past and present; all who have ever come to Jesus went through such struggles only they didn’t give up, and many are passing though similar things. But Satan will want to personalize it to you as if you are the worst. The devil is a LIAR! CO N C L U S I O N ! When the people, pressure, persuasion, persecution or feeling to commit sin comes again, DON’T YIELD! It is then you will discover the strength and grace of God as your weakness is turned to strength. When the feeling of being empty, of wondering of thoughts, of weakness, of discouragement and despair come to stop you from your decision and move to serve God, DON’T STOP! If you don’t stop you will be strong. 1 Peter 5:8. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.”

WHO ARE THE TRUE MUSLIMS? We have many Muslims who are intelligent, respectful and peaceful. These nice set of Muslims have openly condemned Boko Haram and ISIS, claiming that the violent groups are not true Muslims. But Boko Haram and ISIS insist that their actions are commanded as the right way of life for all Muslims and have described the peaceful Muslims as hypocrites. So who are the true Muslims? The Boko Haram Leader is an Imam and the leader of ISIS holds a doctorate degree in Islamic studies. So are the peaceful ones the true Muslims? Muslims cry day and night that, "Islam will dominate the world". Which Islam will dominate the world, the peaceful one or the terror striking one? Can peaceful Muslims dominate? Can the peaceful Muslims enforce Sharia Law on a nation? Quran 8:39 commands that Muslims should fight until Islam dominates the whole world. How do the peaceful Muslims intent to obey this verse. It sure appears to me that the duty of peaceful Muslims is to deceive the world into accepting Islam in peaceful societies while waiting for the true Muslims to come and dominate with terror. This is a conspiracy against the human race.

European MP accuses APC of funding Boko Haram, calls for probe A senior member of the European Parliament, Franz Obermayr MEP, has accused the Opposition All Progressive’s Congress (APC) of channeling European Parliament financial aid to Boko Haram in the North East of Nigeria, and called on the European Commission to investigate alleged concerns over the party’s financial and political allegiance with the terror group. The Nigerian Times learnt exclusively that Franz Obermayr, of Austrian Freedom Party, currently the most popular political party in Austria, made the statements in a press release issued on 16 September and covered widely by the European press. The Nigerian Times also learnt that Obermayr has been working closely with Stand for Peace, a Muslim-Jewish interfaith organisation dedicated to countering extremism and promoting social and religious cohesion. Oberamyr has also called on EU election observers to closely scrutinise the links between the APC and Boko Haram in the run up to the 2015 presidential election. He said: “In Nigeria’s case, a large proportion of the subsidies from Brussels are used in the north of the country. The federal states of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa in the extreme north-east of the country are precisely the areas in which Boko Haram’s campaign of terror is largely tolerated by the authorities. The aforementioned sub-republics are governed by the All Progressive Congress (APC)” In the statement made available to The Nigerian Times, Obermayr says that all further European Parliament cooperation and funding to Nigeria should be subject to the findings of a report into the close relationships between political parties and terrorist groups in the country, suggesting that all development aid should be immediately suspended if any wrong doing is exposed. Turning to individuals in the APC, Mr Obermayr raised the US Embassy memo which states that former Vice-President and 2015 Presidential hopeful, Atiku Abubukar, received money from Al-Qaeda to “destabilise the south of the country” and the recent defection of Femi Fani-Kayode from the APC because of their “clear islamist agenda and sympathies with Boko Haram”. Further, in a statement that highlights widespread concern ahead of the 2015 presidential elections, he said: “Even the most senior man in the APC, former Nigerian head of state and presidential candidate, Mohammadu Buhari, was quoted in the British newspaper The Guardian back in 2001 calling for sharia law to be introduced throughout Nigeria, including the Christian-dominated south.” The announcement from Obermayr and Stand for Peace follows a similar call from Andrew Rosindell MP, of the UK parliament, for an inquiry into the relationship between members of the APC and Boko Haram. “Unfortunately, in many cases a lot of Europe’s political decision-makers are negligent when it comes to contacts and financial aid for associations and political parties which in reality act as camouflage organisations and as a result often open the doors to European institutions for radical Islamist groups,” is the criticism voiced by Austrian Freedom Party MEP Franz Obermayr, who has already called on the Commission for greater transparency on this issue in a parliamentary survey. “In Nigeria’s case, a large proportion of the subsidies from Brussels are used in the north of the country. The federal states of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa in the extreme north-east of the country are precisely the areas in which Boko Haram’s campaign of terror is largely tolerated by the authorities. The aforementioned sub-republics are governed by the All Progressive Congress (APC), which is now also standing for the presidency in the upcoming 2015 elections”. “The leaders of this party have repeatedly been linked with radical Islam and their terrorist groups,” warns Obermayr. Wikileaks for example published a memo from the US Embassy to the effect that the former Vice-President and APC member Atiku Abubakar received money from Al-Qaeda to destabilise the south of the country. “And lastly even the most senior man in the APC, former Nigerian head of state and presidential candidate, Mohammadu Buhari, was quoted in the British newspaper The Guardian back in 2001 calling for sharia law to be introduced throughout Nigeria, including the Christian-dominated south,” Obermayr went on, referring to the manifestly close links between the APC and Islamist terrorism in the region. Obermayr said : “During its history Europe too had to learn the painful lesson that a semblance of democratic legitimacy did not prevent brutal and inhuman regimes from gaining power. Against the backdrop of the upcoming elections, all evidence of links between Boko Haram and political parties in Nigeria must be carefully scrutinised, documented and then reported to the European Parliament and the general public. Future cooperation with Nigeria should depend on these reports.” According to Obermayr, it goes without saying that development aid should also be suspended immediately if suspicions are confirmed in the above-mentioned regions. http://pointblanknews.com/pbn/exclusive/european-mp-accuses-apc-funding-boko-haram-calls-probe/

In swaths of Syria now controlled by ISIS, children can no longer study math or social studies. Sports are out of the question. And students will be banned from learning about elections and democracy. According to CNN, instead, they’ll be subjected to the teachings of the radical Islamist group. And any teacher who dares to break the rules “will be punished.” ISIS revealed its new educational demands in fliers posted on billboards and on street poles. The Sunni militant group has captured a slew of Syrian and Iraqi cities in recent months as it tries to establish a caliphate, or Islamic state, spanning Sunni parts of both countries. In the letter, ISIS said alternative courses will be added. It also said teachers must erase the phrase Syrian Arab Republic, the official name of Syria and replace it with Islamic State, which is what ISIS calls itself. Educators cannot teach nationalistic and ethnic ideology and must instead teach “the belonging to Islam and to denounce infidelity and infidels.” Books cannot include any reference to evolution. And teachers must say that the laws of physics and chemistry “are due to Allah’s rules and laws.” The letter ends with a firm warning: “This is an obligatory announcement, and all violators will be punished. http://news.slashdot.org/story/14/09/17/1515258/isis-bans-math-and-social-studies-for-children |
This is the man that was used by Nigeria to commit the pogrom of the civil war. He must have regretted his many atrocities to the people of Biafra before his death.

When we were told that we have them infiltrated in the armed forces, people kept pointing at the President instead of looking at the merit of what he said who told BH that the convoy has moved? The same man that gives the BH the coordinates of our attacking troops, leading them into ambushes ? |
About 850 soldiers shortlisted for a counter-terrorism course at the Nigerian Army Training Centre in Kontagora, Niger State narrowly escaped death when they were ambushed by suspected members of the outlawed Boko Haram islamist sect. Four of them were however seriously injured in the incident which took place at a location between Okene and Lokoja, Kogi State on Sunday night. A security source said on Monday that the soldiers were men of the 322 Artillery Battalion, and the Fourth Brigade Garrison, Ekeunwa, Benin in Edo State. The PUNCH learnt that the 850 soldiers were expected to give fillip to the ongoing counter-terrorism operation in Borno and Adamawa states on completion of the counter- insurgency course. Our source said there were suspicions that the attackers were insurgents because of the intensity of the gunfire directed at the vans conveying the soldiers from both sides of the road. ================================ Let us assume these were insurgents and the soldiers fought them off...but how can 850 soldier be travelling at the same time with an objective probably known to BH...surely some one must have tipped them off |
THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO MAKE HEAVEN The race to heaven is narrow, the kingdom of God suffers violence, right, but you just need these three things in your life after you surrender your life to Jesus, and heaven is sure and certain. The foundation and basic thing is your genuine salvation, you need to dedicate or rededicate your life to Jesus first before you start the race. So, after you have experienced salvation, you go ahead with these things and heaven is sure, no matter what! Let's see those three things: From the book of Luke 21:36, "Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” From this verse, we see three things: The Word (Jesus Christ), to watch and to pray. These are the three things we need on daily bases to make heaven. Let's start with prayer Pray Earnestly Every Day A prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian. For you to overcome past sinful natures and resist the present temptations, you need the strength of Holy Spirit, and you get this strength through prayer. Many Christians are ignorant of "daily" prayer in their Christian living. Luke 22:, 41, "And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed.....Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. 44 And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground" Jesus Christ prayed to prevailed. For you to prevail over sin, self and Satan, you need daily and earnest prayer. No matter the addicted or persistent sin, daily prayer over it prevails. Do not waste your time praying over enemies and others, your priority in your prayer should be on your Christian life, for grace and strength to live victorious life. When you are having struggle with any particular sin or temptation, take it to God in prayer. Praying every morning before you start the day and evening before you sleep is not to fulfill all righteousness but to present your spiritual weaknesses and issues to God and receive strength. It is not possible for you to live a consistent Christian life without consistent payer life. Never miss daily prayer, both in the morning and evening. Start with 30mins prayer and move on from there. Read Bible Every Day "How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word." Psalm 119:9. For you to grow in the Lord, to live a victorious Christian life, you need to read and mediate on God's word everyday. You cannot resist the devil without the Word in your heart, not in your brain. You must read at least 2 chapters of Bible everyday, at least. The Word refreshes, empowers and enables you to move on without falling. Before you read your Bible, you need to invite Holy Spirit to teach you, and read without distraction. Mediate what you read and write some down. Watch!!! "Nevertheless we made our prayer to our God, and because of them we set a watch against them day and night." Nehemiah 4:9. After prayer and Bible reading, you must watch against wiles of the devil day and night. Do not relent or relax, because devil doesn't. You must be watchful to apply God's Word into your life. Watch over your heart, your thought, your tongues, your tones, your temper; watch against sinful tendencies and resist them. To watch means to detach from people or places, to delete any thoughts within or materials without and destroy anything that will lure or lead you back to sin. To watch also means to resist, reject and refuse sinful demands and desires. Never entertain the thought again, never give room to the devil, and never move close to the appearance of sin. WATCH! With these three things, victory is certain and heaven is sure. But only sure if you have experienced salvation as the foundation. If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus completely or if you have been rising and falling into sin, all you need is to start afresh by dedicating or rededicating your life to Jesus and have a better start. You realize, ready to forsake and confess your sins to Jesus, and ask Him to forgive and cleanse you, to save and give you a new heart and spirit.

A high ranking British envoy who arrived Lagos this evening September 2nd reportedly slumped and died shortly after landing at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport. Immediately the man, who arrived on a United Airlines flight slumped, eyewitnesses said many passengers and airport officials took to their heels for fear of the Ebola virus disease. The man was later attended to by airport health officials who after carrying out proper examinations on him found out he'd suffered a heart attack. Well, this should pretty much sound the death knell for ISIS, unless those concerned are still mulling over the right 'strategy'. It is amazing how quick were coalition forces to launch a full fledged attack on Iraqi installations based on 'pretty solid intelligence' about WMDs, but are on the fence when innocents and journalists are butchered with video proof for the whole world to see. How can we turn a blind eye to some of the most unimaginable atrocities against humanity in modern times? My thoughts and prayers go out to the bereaved family of the slain journalist, especially Sotloff's mother. May the Lord grant them healing. Maranatha. |
ISIS released a brutal video today showing the beading of a second U.S journalist, 31 year old Steven Sotlof. Sotloff had appeared in another video where U.S Journalist James Foley was killed two weeks ago (left. Sotloff pictured right at the execution scene). And it looks like Sotloff was killed by the same executioner who killed Foley on August 19th. He had same British accent and before beheading Sotloff, the terrorist said; "I'm back Obama, and I'm back because of your arrogant foreign policy towards the Islamic State, because of your insistence on continuing your bombings on Mosul Dam, despite our serious warning. So just as your missiles continue to strike our people, our knife will continue to strike the necks of your people." Sotloff disappeared while reporting in Syria a year ago. What I see in this story is total plagiarism! How can the so called holy book copy a story from another holy book and then claim ownership of such story, this is ridiculous and fraudulent. |
caseless: No 7 reason: cramjone was the only one that saw ffk on channels tv denying having any link to nairaland's cramjones. No 8 Reason: Cramjones was the first to brake the news here on NL about the Abuja jail break and he also narrated how he had knee jerks and how he hid himself on the floor during the cross fire of BH and the military. How come Cramjones lives in the same neighborhood where FFK lives, is that a coincidence? |
My prayer for my Muslim brothers is that God will open their eyes to see and know the truth that Jesus is the only way, the only truth and that in him alone could life be found. Below is the book of Luke 24:25-27 and 44 where Jesus appeared after his resurrection and was speaking to some of his disciples who were on their way to a village called Emmau, He made them understood that all the prophecies the prophets of old from Moses to Malachi prophesied was about Him, I don't actually know where Mohammed came in from to be a prophet of the God of Isreal when from Abraham God had promised a savior through the lineage of Isaac and not that of Ishmael. Luke 24:25-27 and 44 So he said to them, “You foolish people – how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Wasn’t it necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and enter into his glory?” 27 Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them the things written about himself in all the scriptures. 44 Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and the psalms must be fulfilled.” |
This is unbelievable!!! |
I read the grave allegations made by an Australian by the name of Mr. Stephen Davis about those that he believes are behind Boko Haram. He made some very serious allegations, he mentioned names and I would be interested in seeing the hard evidence that he claims to have. I have always said that I believe that anyone, no matter which political party that person belongs to and no matter how highly placed or powerful that person may be, that is involved with Boko Haram ought to be captured, caged, flogged and brought to justice because I regard such people as nothing but bloodthirsty beasts. Continue... I have also always said that I believe that some of the leading members of the opposition APC are secret sponsors and supporters of Boko Haram and I am glad that Mr. Davis appears to share this view and that he has indeed confirmed my worst fears in his celebrated interview with Arise TV. Similar concerns have been raised and allegations made about the suspicious nexus, the direct link and the questionable relationship between APC and Boko Haram by senior Members of Parliament in the British House of Commons together with a number of leading Russian and American civil and religious institutions, organisations, commentators and political figures. It is therefore good news that Mr. Davis has confirmed some of our collective suspicions and fears and that he has decided to come out and tell us what he knows given the role that he played in the negotiations to broker a deal to get the Chibok girls released from Boko Haram. I have little doubt that on the allegation that the APC and Boko Haram are linked Davis is absolutely right. I am not however convinced about the culpability of one or two of the other people that he has fingered. No-one should be spared if the evidence is really there but I must say that I find the allegation that, for example, the former Chief of Army Staff, General Azubuike Ihejirika, is somehow involved with Boko Haram a little far-fetched. I say this because firstly the man spent so much of his time, energy, career and resources fighting that same terrorist organisation that he is now being accused of being part of. Secondly I say it because that terrorist organisation has killed and continues to kill so many of his own officers and men. And thirdly I say it because the man is not a muslim but a christian and I have never heard of a christian helping or assisting an islamist terrorist organisation in their quest to establish an islamic fundamentalist state or ''new world caliphate'' in his country. This is especially so when that terrorist organisation is committed to wiping out the christian faith itself and killing every christian, every secularist and every moderate muslim in the country. It seems to me that this is an absurd notion and that it really doesn't make any sense but if the Australian has any hard evidence let us see or hear it. Again I disagree strongly with the leading figures in the opposition that have said that the Federal Government and the PDP are the ones behind Boko Haram. I say this because those individuals know very well that the APC as a party have far more sympathy for Boko Haram and far many more of their leaders and members have spoken up for and in defence of Boko Haram than anyone else. On Friday 29th August in Thisday Newspaper one of those leaders said that the Senator from Borno state that was facing terrorism charges was ''a PDP member''. This is not true. The Senator that he was referring to is Senator Ndume and he is in the APC and not the PDP. Quite apart from that certain things need to be noted. Let me remind those that are pointing fingers at the PDP today that It was not a member of the PDP or the Federal Government that said that Boko Haram should not be proscribed as an organisation, even after they had slaughtered no less than 15,000 innocent Nigerians in cold blood, sometime last year. It was rather the official spokesman of the APC, Lai Mohammed, who said so. It was not the PDP or any member of the Federal Government that told the world only last year that they were against the declaration of a State of Emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states, that an attack on Boko Haram was an attack on the north and that Boko Haram members ought not to be killed but rather they ought to be pampered, granted amnesty and treated in a gentle manner like the Niger Delta militants. It was the leading Presidential aspirant and one of the two co-owners of the APC, General Muhammadu Buhari, that said so. It was the same General Buhari who has openly identified with and publiclly endorsed a number of the core objectives of Boko Haram when, as far back as 2001, he told the world that he wanted to ''spread sharia all over the country'', when he said that ''muslims should only vote for those that would protect their interest'', when he asked ''why should it concern christians when muslims chop off the limbs of one another'' in accordance with their divine law and when he said, in 2013, that there would be violence and that ''the blood of the dog and the baboon would both flow'' if the coming elections were rigged. It was not the PDP or a member of the Federal Government that told the world three years ago that if President Goodluck Jonathan or any southerner emerges as President in 2011 that ''we would make the country ungovernable''. It was Alhaji Lawal Kaita, a leading member of the APC, that said so. It was not the PDP or any member of the Federal Government that guaranteed the security of the Chibok girls and insisted that they should go ahead and do their exams at Chibok and that he would provide the necessary security, even after WAEC and the Federal Ministry of Education had written him a letter and warned him that it would be dangerous to do so and that he must not go ahead. It was the Governor of Borno state, who is a leading member of the APC, that did that. Not only did he not provide the promised security but he also abandoned the girls and left them in the lurch because only one adult, the school gateman, spent the night in the school with those girls despite all the obvious dangers. Worst still there was no electricity and no generator functioning at the school throughout the night and neither was there one adult, teacher or supervisor with the girls at the school. Even more suspicious was the fact that not one of the daughters of any of the staff and teachers that attended that school spent the night with the other girls at the school that night. They were all in the safety of their homes. One wonders why? Was it just a coincidence or did they have prior notice of the impending doom? The whole Chibok episode is still clouded in mystery but given the fact that the Governor of Borno state is now one of the leading members of the Bring Back Our Girls campaign I wonder why he allowed all these lapses to take place and why he behaved in this way? Was his motive for not taking all reasonable measures to protect those girls political? Is there not more to his actions and inactions than meets the eye? I repeat my constant assertion that Boko Haram is the military wing of the APC and that the APC is the political wing of Boko Haram. I make this grave and very serious allegation partly because of the aforementioned public utterances and actions of these leading APC members and partly because of a number of other things that I will not say publiclly because Nigerians would be utterly traumatised if they heard them. There would be an uproar in this country if some of us were to say all that we know about the irresponsible and insidious religious agenda that the APC has and the hideous and shameful things that they are doing and saying behind closed doors. The suggestion that they never had a plan to have a muslim/muslim ticket is a lie from the pit of hell. They may have dropped that plan now due to the fact that ii has generated a good deal of public uproar and outrage but that was their original plan and many of them were hell bent on it and probably still are. The suggestion that they have not used religion as a political tool is another dirty lie. That is what they have been doing from day one and they are still doing it now. The suggestion that they cannot be equated with or compared to the Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt or the Sudanese supporter of APC is another lie from the pit of hell. If anyone has any doubts about that they should just scrutinise the religious composition of both their old and defunct Interim National Executive Commitee and the new one and they will see that it is virtually an all muslim affair spiced with a few token christians lurking in the shadows and acting as fronts. Nigeria is a multi-religious, multi-cultural and multi-ethnic secular state and it is exceptionally dangerous to introduce religion into politics and seek to use it to gain political power as the APC are shamelessly doing. The suggestion that some of their more notable leaders often make that the PDP is linked to Boko Haram in any shape or form or that President Goodluck Jonathan, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) or the High Command of the Nigerian Military, Securiy Agencies and Intelligence Services are sponsoring or supporting Boko Haram is another lie from the pit of hell. For anyone in the APC to make such an allegation is not only absurd but it is like the pot calling the kettle black. It was rather elements in the APC, and none of those in PDP or any of those organisations that worked day and night to ensure that America did not label Boko Haram a terrorist organisation throughout last year and up until early this year. This is after the terrorists had killed and abducted so many young and innocent Nigerians. Now the question has to be asked, why was this so? If the APC were not behind Boko Haram why did they not want them to be labelled as terrorists by the Americans and the international community? Why did they complain morning day and night that the Nigerian military were killing ''innocent northerners'' and ''violating human rights'' simply because our brave soldiers were risking their lives on the war front and battlefield fighting terror, trying to protect our people and trying to wipe out the enemy. Some have cited the former National Security Advisor, General Patrick Azazi's comments as evidence of PDP's so-called involvement with Boko Haram. They conveniently forget that the elements that Azazi was referring to at that time have now all left the PDP and have now joined the APC. We do not need any more lessons, finger-pointing or self-serving statements from leaders of the APC or their party about Boko Haram. What we need and what we want from them is for them to stop supporting and encouraging the terrorists and to stop bringing religion into politics. They should also apologise to the Nigerian people for the shameful things that they have said which has done nothing but encourage the terrorists and the enemies of our people. May God grant them the grace and humility to do so.

Igbo kwenu! Take a look at this image and tell me why I should be ashamed to come from a tribe of people who survive out of hard work. No quota system. No educationally less developed tag. No federal government presence. They have never been president. No free training abroad like they get in Niger Delta. Less resource allocation. With all these, they still come out strong and tall more than the pampered people. I am proud to be Igbo. This is what Lagos/Ibadan media tries so hard to make it seem like it is nothing. It has been like this for the past 30 years. Hear Madam Ngozi about her people when she was accused of pursuing an Igbo agenda in 2013. Do not let the evil of quota system bring down your spirits. Struggle continues! http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/im-not-pursuing-any-personal-agenda-says-okonjo-iweala/144947/ http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/im-not-pursuing-any-personal-agenda-says-okonjo-iweala/144947/

Most of the people we elected in this country and still elect in high positions of authority are not patriotic at all, they don't have the ordinary Nigerian at heart. |
Sunday Sermon---------- How God Works.! I was reading my Bible this morning- and the story of David struck me big time. The children of Israel forced God to give them a king. They chose a big-tall Saul, but that was not His choice for them. Eventually, Saul fell out with God. Then time came for a new King, even before Saul died, there had been search for a new King. Some of Saul's sons aspired to be King. But God had a different plan. God sent prophet Samuel to the house of Jesse, who had many sons, but the spirit of God told Samuel that the anointed one wasn't among the senior one. Alas, the anointed King was the youngest of them all, who wasn't even around when Samuel got to the house of Jesse. --- " Samuel examined seven of Jesse's sons, but said to him, "The Lord has not chosen these.” Samuel inquired if Jesse had any other sons. "There is still the youngest", Jesse answered, referring to David. Samuel said, "Send for him," and had him brought in. Then the Lord said, "Rise and anoint him; this is the one." So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him." David--- was anointed King of Israel after many obstacles. ***************** Coming to Nigeria. 2007--- when it was time to consider presidential aspirants for PDP, there were heavy names. Names like Atiku, Odili, IBB, Marwa, Saraki, Adamu Abdullahi,Victor Attah, Adamu Mu'azu Ahmed Makarfi, Achike Udenwa, Jolly Nyame , Uzor Orji Kalu, Ibrahim Sanni, Saminu Turaki, Chimaroke Nnamani, Dr. Sam Egwu. Prof. Jerry Gana etc A Yaradua that didn't even show interest, was eventually picked. But God had a plan for choosing a sick man. Even for VP slot, Odili was already penned down as Yar’Adua’s running mate but at 4pm on Sunday 17th December, 2006, the name of Goodluck Jonathan was dramatically announced at the Convention venue. On-and-on-- He became VP-- without labouring for it. Rewind to when he was Deputy gov-- in God's style, he allowed gov Alamaiyeshega to be disgraced out of office and without sweating, GEJ entered as governor. Same way, God had his plan, when he allowed Obj force a sick Yar'adua on the country-- He knew what He was doing, he was nurturing Jonathan, showing him the rudiments of Presidential seat while he kept Yar'adua in hospital. Even while the nation was clamouring that Jonathan should be sworn in due to Yar'adua's incapacitation, he didn't struggle for it, he was quiet, he wasn't in a hurry. He was ok with his VP seat. When God saw the humility in Jonathan, He decided to completely take Yar'adua out of the way and clear the coast for Jonathan. Took him into everlasting bosom. (RIP Yar'adua). The rest is history. When God wants to do something or has a plan for a man, He does it in mysterious ways. Look at Moses, the greatest Israelite ever. Abandoned in the river. Taken to the greatest palace on earth. Stripped of the royalty later on Wandered in the mountains for 40yrs, until God was ready to use him. Even when he was reluctant, and faced with obstacles till the Egyptians were buried alive in the red sea. Atiku Abubakar was a serious Num1 contender for presidency but God had a plan, because of that, He put greed and corruption inside Atiku and made that a foundation for bitter enemity between Obasanjo and Atiku and used Obasanjo to stand in his way. Trust me, Atiku his regretting his actions. Just the same way God intentionally hardened Pharaoh's heart so that He could prove something, and dealt with him later. Then God programmed Obj's heart to foist Yar'adua on us, bet me, it was because of Jonathan. Have you forgotten Yar'adua fainted 2ce during campaigns? Is that not enough to change Yar'adua as candidate? Same Obasanjo that had been condemned to death o. God is funny sha. He's a chess master. He took Abacha in a mysterious way, the person that condemned Obj to death and put Abdulsalami, who didn't even labour for it. Remember there was Useni and Bamaiyi, even Al-mustapha could have made himself head of state. God let him mumu himself and he put Abdulsalami. This is a presidency Buhari has laboured for 3 times and failed those 3 times. So, who say Jonathan will have it easy? Naaa. God doesn't work that way. He puts obstacles or allows them, so the victory will be sweet at the end. If Moses could have obstacles. If King David could have obstacles. Even Jesus had serious obstacles. Then why not Jonathan. The obstacles are to make the GEJ-2015 victory sweeter. But one thing is sure; Who God bless, no man curse- if U do, U are wasting your time. May God's plan work in our lives in Jesus name. Halleluyahhhh |

Boko Haram Leader Proclaims ‘Islamic Caliphate’ In Nigeria KANO ( AFP) – Boko Haram’s leader said he has created an Islamic caliphate in a northeast Nigeria town seized by the insurgents earlier this month, in a video obtained by AFP on Sunday. “Thanks be to Allah who gave victory to our brethren in (the town of) Gwoza and made it part of the Islamic caliphate,” Abubakar Shekau said in the 52-minute video. He declared that Gwoza, in Borno state, now has “nothing to do with Nigeria”. “By the grace of Allah we will not leave the town. We have come to stay,” said Shekau, who has been designated a global terrorist by the United States and sanctioned by the UN Security Council. The United Nations humanitarian office (OCHA) earlier this month confirmed reports that Gwoza was under rebel control. Boko Haram is also believed to be in control of other areas near Gwoza in southern Borno, as well as large swathes of territory in northern Borno and at least one town in neighbouring Yobe state. Mapping the precise areas which have fallen into Islamist hands is nearly impossible. There are few humanitarian workers on the ground in the northeast, travel is dangerous and the region, which has been under a state of emergency since May of last year, has poor mobile phone coverage. Experts have described Boko Haram’s gains in recent weeks as unprecedented, saying the group was closer than ever to achieving its goal of carving out a strict Islamic state across northern Nigeria. But many analysts believe the military has the capacity to reverse the insurgents’ advance. Soldiers this week refused to deploy to Gwoza without better weapons in an apparent mutiny. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/08/boko-haram-leader-proclaims-islamic-caliphate-nigeria/

North Contributes Nothing To National Coffers –Dokpesi After months of deliberations, heated debates and disagreements, the National Conference came to a successful end on Thursday, August 14, as delegates agreed to a change in the draft constitution through a majority voice vote. In this interview, the founder and owner of media giant, Daar Communications, owners of Ray Power radio and African Independent Tevelevision, AIT, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, relives the experience at the confab, expressing confidence that President Goodluck Jonathan will live up to the expectations of Nigerians on the implementation of recommendations contained in the draft constitution. Excerpts: How would you describe your experience at the confab? I must say that the experience was quite rewarding. It provided the opportunity to meet with old friends, colleagues, and senior citizens who have played a very prominent role in the affairs of this country. The simple opportunity to be able to work closely goes a long way to really show that there is quite a lot of hope for this country. The issue of derivation almost thwarted the whole process like the previous National Political Conference organized by former President Olusegun Obasanjo did. How did you finally resolve the matter? Let me say that the conference in its wisdom had accepted fiscal federalism and also agreed that Nigeria shall be a federation in which the federating units will contribute to the sustenance of the centre, which is a complete reversal of the unitary system we are currently running whereby the centre collects revenue, and dispenses to the states. This is why delegates from various zones were very much insistent on developing other sources of revenue generation to expand income base of the country as it were by putting focus and attention on development of mineral resources. We must appreciate the fact that alternative source of energy has been found. The green revolution has brought about alternative source of energy and power. And Nigeria cannot afford to exclusively depend on crude oil. What was very clear from the statistics available is that 72 percent of revenue we share at Federal Account Allocation Committee on monthly basis comes from oil producing states. The South-west comes next to them with almost 20 percent or thereabout. The South-east comes next with about eight percent. The Northern parts don’t contribute a dime and the chunk of allocation goes to them. Recall that in the 1960 constitution, there was a provision that all mineral bearing states must retain 50 percent of revenue generation and the remaining 50 percent to the centre. Out of that 50 percent, Federal Government would take its share for administering the centre. But as it is today, only the oil producing states are bearing the whole burden of Nigeria. The Southern states are coming up with contribution in terms of payment of Value Added Tax (VAT) as well as solid mineral resources. But there is nothing coming from the North. This issue will be laid to rest if all mineral producing states also partake in revenue sharing by way of derivation. I remember that one of the delegates from the South-south proposed that we should give as much as 10 percent of the federation account to rapid development of all these mineral resources because our revenue generation from oil is declining. But we finally came to the conclusion that five percent of federation account should be committed to the development of these solid mineral resources over a period of time. We did say very clearly that over a ten years period we should be in that position where it would be 50 percent derivation as it was envisaged in the 1963 constitution. At a transitional stage, we cannot start with 50 percent because the economy of most states will collapse. So, the only fair and reasonable thing to do is to have a transitional provision and that transitional provision was the subject of debate at the conference. The Northern delegates that was jointly led by Prof Jerry Gana and Alhaji Ibrahim Comasie (GCON) accepted that 18 percent should be that point. Dr Peter Odili was the one who suggested 18 percent after due consultation with Alhaji Adamu Waziri, leader of delegation from Borno, Muhammed Kumalia and Bashir Dalhatu. The Southern delegates and Northern delegates agreed on 18 percent. So, any attempt to say that there was an issue about 18 percent derivation smacks of dishonesty. It was also agreed unanimously that the host communities of these mineral resources should get 50 percent of whatever amount that is generated whether oil or solid mineral resources. Apart from mineral development fund that was created, a national intervention fund was also created to deal with Boko Haram insurgency or any other type of conflicts. It was national in character. The clear cut position was that five percent of federal account should be committed to this, so that government can immediately deal with any such menace. In arriving at that, the current carnage in the Northeast was mentioned. Even the Council of State in its wisdom had already agreed that 32 billion naira should be set aside to deal with conflicts. We were acting not knowing what the Turaki committee had recommended. But at the end of the day, the Northern delegates decided to renege on the agreement that had been reached because they wanted North-east and North-central to be specifically mentioned, and then any other part of Nigeria. What we cannot run away from is the fact that a lot of states in the North-west had also experienced these Boko Haram attacks. But they wanted it to be specifically mentioned in the recommendation. If you say North-east and any other part of Nigeria, it also means the same thing. This was the point of disagreement. But by and large, there was an agreement, there was an understanding. We all agreed that fiscal federalism should be the order of the day. We need to let the mineral bearing states know how much they would pay to the federation account. At the present moment, there are lots of mineral resources being extracted from the Northern parts of the country without paying any amount to the coffers of the Federal Government. We must make sure that all these are captured and form part of the monthly sharing. And the issue of Southwest, particularly VAT in Lagos comes to mind here. There is no point why revenue is generated through activities like VAT and a percent of it does not remain in Lagos. So, Lagos is right in demanding that whatever is applicable to all other mineral resources should also be applicable to VAT, so that those who bear the brunt can have some benefits of it. Do you see the creation of additional 18 states recommended by the conference coming into reality? There is a tendency for anybody that is born in the Southwest to want to gravitate towards regionalism. I am an apostle of regional arrangement. I believe the number of states we have at the moment is quite unwieldy and therefore there is a need for us to aggregate together. But as far as I am concerned, that should come naturally, it should not be compelled by legislation. And the conference was very patriotic in dealing with the matter. Out of the states that were represented, 29 states wanted to retain their identity and keep their states as they are. No one state wanted to merge together. Even those that were together before didn’t want to go back to the old arrangement. Akwa Ibom didn’t want to go back to Cross River State. Bayelsa didn’t want to come back to Rivers State, Kebbi didn’t want to come back to Kaduna. Ebonyi didn’t want to come back to Enugu. Everybody wanted to have his own state as federating unit. But the Conference agreed that any group of states that want to come together should be able to do so by a plebiscite of the people and the state Houses of Assembly. That is, states can merge and demerge. For the first time, the Conference came up with a proposal that states should have their own constitution. Now, to go back to your question, definitely, the states recommended for creation will come into being. The conference had recommended the creation of those states and the people that are concerned will definitely be looking forward to the creation of those states. Part of the mandate the President gave to us is that we should look into the cause of conflicts around the country with a view to finding a lasting solution to it. If you go to Borno State, you will see that the Chibok area where we have Boko Haram insurgency is Southern Borno. In Kaduna State, the area where you normally have crisis is Southern Kaduna. These are areas where the minorities are staying, and they are feeling that they are being oppressed. So, if we want this tension to be taken off, then it is better to allow them to determine their own future. However, federalism expects that you will be able to contribute to the centre, to be entitled to a share of the federation account. That is the essence of federalism. You must bring something to the table. The era of sharing under a federal system has come and gone. Do you think the president has the political will to implement the recommendations of the conference? I believe the President is very sincere and honest. I believe the President is desirous of change for Nigeria. The President is anxious to see a better and rewarding Nigeria for our future generation. History will judge him. I believe he is going to work on the recommendations of the conference. I see a referendum coming. http://sunnewsonline.com/new/?p=78519 http://www.nigerianews24.com/articles/national-conference-north-contributes-nothing-to-national-coffers-dokpesi-osun-defender

2015: Tambuwal In Secret Meetings With Northern Elders As the 2015 political activities take the centre stage all over the country, there are strong indications that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, may dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the opposition party, the All Progressive Congress (APC), following the pressure being mounted on him by the opposition to pitch his tent with them. Analysts said for some time now, the body language of the number four citizen has not only suggested that he may dumb PDP for APC to build a virile, strong, united, and prosperous party. Investigations also revealed that barring any last minutes change of plans, Tambuwal will contest the 2015 Presidential elections under the banner of APC. According to sources close to Sunday Independent , the Speaker has been secretly meeting with top politicians from the North and has set up the Tambuwal Presidential Project, (TPP), whose membership, it was gathered, is drawn from top politicians in the North, members of the National Assembly, as well as APC chieftains, who are not disposed to General Mohammadu Buhari’s presidential ambition. Tambuwal, regarded as the “new entrant into the political scene in the Northern politics”, is seen as the most acceptable among Northern politicians, who desperately yearn for power to return to the North in 2015. Tambuwal’s choice as a presidential material, according to inside sources, is to represent the loud call for the return of power to the North in 2015. Sunday Independent learnt authoritatively that those in the North who are following the emerging politics, are of the opinion that Tambuwal, coming from Sokoto State, a key North Western state of the country, would be in better position to slug it out with President Goodluck Jonathan in the event that the President emerged the PDP presidential candidate. Already, top echelons of APC, who are not particularly comfortable with Buhari running for the Presidency on the party’s platform, are currently said to be holding clandestine meetings to convince the Speaker to join the party and contest the Presidential ticket of the party. It would be recalled that Governor Aliyu Wammako of Sokoto State recently decamped to APC. However, Tambuwal cannot leave the PDP now, as he would forfeit his seat in the National Assembly under the new electoral law. Although, he has not acceded to the APC’s overtures yet, his close associates said his body language is encouraging, but that as a politician, he has to calculate well before deciding on what to do. Some APC chieftains are also said to have started to mount pressure on Buhari, urging him to drop any idea of contesting the 2015 presidential election. An APC member of the House of Representatives, who pleaded anonymity, said majority of the members are in support of Tambuwal’s presidential ambition and are already working round the clock to sell the idea to other Nigerians “We have gone far with the Tambuwal Presidential Project (TPP); we have reached virtually all nooks and cranny of this country to seek support of major stakeholders within and outside the APC. “We are very comfortable with the response we have received so far. Nigeria and Nigerians would get a better deal if and when we translate the TPP into reality In-Sha Allah”. “Nigerians must also recall that the emergence of Tambuwal as Speaker was not the making of PDP. Rather, we, the now APC, made it happen and ever since, the Speaker is carrying everybody along, irrespective of ethnicity, tribe or religion, some rare quality of a good leader must possess”, the federal lawmaker, who hails from the North, revealed. “Tambuwal, as a choice, will attract many more legislators in the Lower House beyond the ruling party’s imagination. He is a rallying point, whose politics cuts across parties and tribes”, the source declared. In his reaction, Rotimi Makinde, representing Ife Federal Federal Constituency and Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Human Rights, said the Speaker is rated as an asset to the nation and a presidential material to the core, if only the APC leadership will be magnanimous enough to accommodate him as the party’s presidential standard bearer. According Makinde, “I have no doubt that the change we all clamour for at the centre would come to fruition. “Tambuwal’s leadership in the House has the uncovering of corruption and rot in different sectors of our national life. “No other leader of the House in the history of Nigeria has ever taken such courageous steps to expose the cankerworms of corruption plaguing our nation”, Makinde declared. “The choice of Aminu Tambuwal will turn the fortunes of our party around for good. He is well educated, an astute and erudite lawyer, very eloquent and charismatic. I wish him best of luck in his political journey, APC can’t wait to have him as one of us”. Some APC notable leaders such as Buhari and former Lagos governor, Bola Tinubu, among others, had described Tambuwal as a son to be respected and reverred as leader in APC. When contacted on phone, a constitutional lawyer and chieftain of PDP, Sani Noah, said that Tambuwal has being a PDP member in principle, adding that from his body language, the society would have known that the Speaker has been in opposition. http://dailyindependentnig.com/2014/08/2015-tambuwal-secret-meetings-northern-elders/

“My Wife Was Raped Five Times A Day” – Escaped Victim Narrates Ordeal In Boko Haram Camp A victim who spent about three months in Boko Haram camp; Alhaji Mustapha Oyeyinka has narrated his ordeal in the hands of the militants. Oyeyinka, 50, who lost his sight to the insurgents, lives with an agonizing memory of seeing his wife raped alongside other women almost on a daily basis for three months in one of the camps of the deadly sect in Kaduna State. Speaking with Sun newspaper, Oyeyinka said he has remained in hiding in Lagos since he regained his freedom and refused to tell his story because he was too terrified. He said he decided to open up now because he has made up his mind to return to his base in Spain in Europe where he expects a miracle to regain his sight. “Shortly after my university days, I relocated to Europe. That was in 1988. I was in search of business opportunities. I was into importation and exportation of goods to and from Europe. “ He said. He however decided to relocate to Nigeria in 2011 and took a trip to Kaduna with his wife, Rachael to attend a wedding ceremony. According to Alhaji Oyeyinka, his friend made arrangement for a mini bus that will convey them to and from Kaduna. The trip was very smooth till they got to Kaduna. “I do not know the village, but I know that it’s Kaduna because there was a billboard that had the address on it. We ran into a little traffic jam caused by some men who were in military uniform. They were stopping vehicles and searching them. When it got to our turn, they asked us to get down. The driver asked us to relax, as it was a routine. “I later discovered that the soldiers were not wearing boots and some were smoking. I waved that observation aside since it was in a bush. I assumed that they were tired of wearing boots for hours. Suddenly, there were gunshots; people started lying down on the floor while some were shouting Jesus! Jesus! In a split of seconds, they shot all those who they heard shouting Jesus. It was then that it dawned on me that these were no robbers.” Terrified and quietly praying for divine intervention, Alhaji Oyeyinka laid on the ground alongside others who survived the shooting. Minutes later, a truck emerged from the bush and they were asked to step into it. “We found ourselves in a camp built with mini halls which later turned out to be our detention room. There were so many young men. It was then that they told us in Hausa that they were Boko Haram members. I don’t understand Hausa, so some of us helped to interpret what they were saying. They collected our phones, and asked us to strip down including the women. “They asked if there is anyone related to the president or any influential Nigerian. Those who said yes were immediately slaughtered and their bodies taken away. Those who claimed that they were Christians were also killed if they failed to renounce their religion. I told them that I am a practising Muslim and they asked me if I was ready to kill for Allah. I kept quiet and the leader of the group said that with time I would beg to join them. “It was then that I said never and one of them hit me on the head with his gun. I fainted and woke up later in an open hall with my hand and feet tied up. We were kept in that room without food until the next day when they came and took all the women out including my wife. “They returned them two hours later. It was then my wife told me that they were raped by more than five men each. It was terrible, I couldn’t help my wife but I was consoled that she was still alive. Everyday, they will come and carry all the women out to be raped and those who did not come back were slaughtered because they resisted. It was terrible knowing that everyday different kindd of men will forcefully have sex with your wife and you cannot do anything about it.” He also claimed that they were only fed with beans, once in a day. “Initially, we were only drinking water and a can of juice. It was days later that they announced that food has arrived and asked if there was anyone in our midst that can cook. Two persons volunteered and they were taken to the kitchen every day to prepare beans. It was always half done and the excuse that was given is that they do not have enough firewood to cook beans”. Days turned into weeks and weeks into months. Alhaji Oyeyinka, who could barely see again, waited endlessly for Messiah. “Then I had completely lost my sight. The after effect of that gun on my head was blindness. I was lucky that my wife was with me to attend to me if need be. On May 8, 2011, the camp remained deserted because they had gone out to hunt. One of the guards came to our cell and picked the prettiest woman among the women. For fear that his people might see him; he shifted her to the end of the hall and had sex with her there. She was just screaming. While he was at it, we heard the sound of the truck, and he quickly ran out of the hall and forgot to lock the cell. They all jumped into the truck and drove off. “We waited till everywhere was really quiet and took off into the bush. My wife was there to assist me since I could no longer see. We only left a young girl who was too weak behind. She was young and beautiful, so sometime they will come for her more than once in a day. It was a survival of the fittest, so we left her behind. FacebookTwitterEmailMore “We got to a point and a Fulani woman who was fetching firewood asked us to follow her. She took us to their village head where we were given food and clothes. He also made an arrangement for a vehicle to take us to Kaduna town. We took the next bus down to Lagos.” He narrated. http://dailypost.ng/2014/08/23/wife-raped-five-times-day-escaped-victim-narrates-ordeal-boko-haram-camp/

President Goodluck Jonathan has directed all Chief Medical Directors (CMDs) and Medical Directors of all federal government owned hospitals and health institutions to issue letters terminating the appointment of all resident doctors in training. This is contained in a circular signed by the permanent secretary ministry of health and dated 13th August, 2014. This directive is with immediate effect. *************************************************** I FEEL THE PRESIDENT HAS DONE THE RIGHT THING. WE CANNOT CONTINUE TO HAVE A COLLECTION OF CAPITALIST SEEKING FINANCIAL GAINS, WHILE THE NATION IS IN THE GRIP OF GRIEVOUS DISEASE. WHERE IS THE HIPPOCRATIC OATH AND ITS ESSENCE? THIS ACTION WILL GO A LONG WAY IN SHEDDING THE FINANCIAL BURDEN BEEN BORNE BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IN SERVICING THESE SOMETIMES, UNGRATEFUL AND SELF-CONCEITED DOCTORS. http://thecable.ng/exclusive-jonathan-sacks-striking-doctors

The widow of Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian who brought Ebola into Nigeria, has defended his decision to travel to the country explaining that he might have done so in desperate search for a country with good healthcare system. According to TMZ Liberia, Decontee Sawyer, who is a radio host in New York, posted a message on her Facebook timeline explaining that Mr. Sawyer had no trust for the decaying healthcare system in Liberia and might have headed to Nigeria with the hope of receiving proper treatment for his ailment. “I’ve read other reports in other papers (not the New York Times) about Patrick’s “recklessness.” I get where they’re coming from, and they certainly have the right to feel the way they do. However, as Patrick’s widow, I would like to shed some light on this from another perspective. One that only I, his wife, would know,” she wrote. “I knew Patrick better than anybody else (including himself). He had told me many times in the past how much he didn’t trust the Liberian healthcare system. He would tell me about how a person would get checked in for one thing, and get misdiagnosed and get the wrong treatment as a result. On top of that, Patrick was a clean freak, and told me how filthy a lot of the hospitals were. “He didn’t tell me this, but I know in my heart of hearts that Patrick was determined to get to Nigeria by all means because he felt that Nigeria would be a place of refuge. He has expressed to me many times in the past that he felt passionately about helping to be a part of strengthening Liberia’s healthcare system, but he knew it wasn’t there yet, and he wouldn’t want to take a chance with his life because a lot of people depended on him… Patrick had a passion for life, and he wouldn’t have wanted his to end. So, I bet anything that he was thinking, if I could only get to Nigeria, a way more developed country than Liberia, I would be able to get some help. How ironic.” Many Nigerians condemned Mr. Sawyer for travelling to the country after it was revealed that he knew he was carrying the virus before embarking on the trip. Some Nigerians on social media have described him as a “biological terrorist” arguing that he came into the country deliberately to spread the disease. On Monday in Abuja, President Goodluck Jonathan described Mr Sawyer’s decision to travel to Nigeria as pure “madness” and “craziness.” “Sawyer that brought this Ebola to Nigeria; his sister died of Ebola. And he started acting somehow, his country asked him not to leave the country, let them observe him, but the crazy man decided to leave and found his way here,” the president said. Ms. Sawyer wrote that the fact that her husband avoided contact with others at the James Sprigg Payne’s Airport in Monrovia revealed by airport CCTV footage proved he didn’t set out to infect others with the disease and perhaps his actions were that of a dying man in desperate search for help. “It has been reported that Patrick avoided physical contact with everyone he came across during his trip from Liberia to Nigeria. When he got to Nigeria, he turned himself in letting them know that he had just flown in from Liberia. Patrick went to Nigeria for help so that he can get properly diagnosed, and not misdiagnosed in Liberia. And if it came back that he did have Ebola, he trusted the Nigerian healthcare system a lot more than he trusted the Liberian’s. His action, as off as it was, was a desperate plea for help. Patrick didn’t want to die, and he thought his life would be saved in Nigeria.” She then took a swipe at the Liberian President, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, who said Mr. Sawyer was indisciplined and disrespectful for failing to heed medical advice not to travel. She said if President Johnson-Sirleaf had fixed the healthcare system in Liberia, her husband would have no need of leaving in search of treatment somewhere else. “I write today, not simply because of Patrick, but because of the broken healthcare system in the Liberia, and the government’s inability under President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf (and other past Presidents) to fix it. Good doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers aren’t given the support they need to save lives. “President Sirleaf went on CNN News throwing stones at Patrick, a man who can no longer defend himself, a man who worked tirelessly for Liberia. She should be ashamed of herself. I use to admire this woman, and was excited and proud of her accomplishment as the first woman President in the entire continent of Africa. She will always own that. We will always own that. It can’t be taken away from her. It’s something to be proud of. But this woman has failed her country,” she wrote. Since Mr. Sawyer’s death in a Lagos hospital, two other persons who had contact with him have died of the virus. At least eight others have also tested positive to the infection and have been quarantined at a Lagos hospital. President Goodluck Jonathan has since declared a national emergency on the disease while the federal health ministry in conjunction with health ministries in the 36 states are working to prevent the virus, which has killed over 1,000 people in Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone, from spreading. - See more at: https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/166660-ebola-why-patrick-sawyer-travelled-to-nigeria-wife.html#sthash.gVVB5fXK.dpuf https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/166660-ebola-why-patrick-sawyer-travelled-to-nigeria-wife.html#sthash.gVVB5fXK.dpbs |

The true life testimony of Imam Sulaiman ibn Ahmad, later known as Mario Joseph encountered historical Jesus Christ through the Quran. He was interviewed by Cristina Casado, through video conference from Toledo in Spain by the programme called Changing Tracks. I disclaim from any liability and invoke the Fair Use Policy under Title 17 of US Code under Section 107 of US Copyright Law that permits limited use of copyrighted material without acquiring permission from the rights holders, for any of these purposes, such as teaching, comment, news report, scholarship and criticism. Sulaiman was brought up as a Muslim since conception in his mother's womb. He declared that the Quran converted him to Christianity. Bear in mind that all characters in the Quran such as Esau and Miriam sister of Aaron are historical names but non-historical persons in the Quran because Muhammad put words into their mouths and it was not based on his eye-witness' account. But YHWH God can turn Muslims from believing in non-historical persons to historical persons in the Holy Bible if they have an element called logic which is a God-given gift. Sulaiman aka Solomon by the character of the name that he was called, possesses a higher level of intellectualism than other muslims. The objective of sharing this video clip is that YHWH God of Israel can use the Quran to convert the Muslims to Christianity if He wills. By God's grace, Imam Sulaiman became a Roman Catholic Christian as his life experience convinces him that Catholic Church is the true church. I personally feel that the Holy Spirit of Christ convinces me that the basic doctrines of the Catholic Church is acceptable to Lord Jesus Christ otherwise He will not lead Mario Joseph to become a Catholic. Frankly speaking, I am a Protestant Christian and I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit by Lord Jesus Christ in a Methodist Church during the specific prayer session for baptism of the Holy Spirit and a personal commitment to serve Him. But Mario Joseph described an event which he received the empowerment of strength which is actually the baptism of the Holy Spirit in his home, only a few days after he became a Christian! So Lord Jesus Christ does not bother which churches you are attached to serve Him, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit is not limited to happen in the Church but anywhere when Lord Jesus Christ manifests His presence. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVvsmc5YsGg |
