Wow, I love your post, makes a lot of sense. But if every one follows your approach by not voting, it means the incumbent will return. Nice post again. Ishilove come and do justice to this unbiased school of thought. |

Your story is untrue, they make over 1,000 naira a day, and they are found in most area that have rocks, especially where construction work just finished, so there are lots of smaller rocks to break down. Kaduna, plateau have a lot of them. Life is hard but not as hard as you want us to believe. |

There are still potential problems that should be addressed before they become real. https://www.nairaland.com/2000385/it-safe-students-gather-hundreds |
Currently Jamb utme 2015 is in progress across nigeria and will continue till febuary 2015 unfortunately because of the restrictions on registeration, students have to travell from far and wide and converge in jamb offices to register som times you meet over 200 students gathered in their office. My question is this, with all the suicide bombers on the loose with dinamites blowing them selves up is it wise to allow students gather like thisin the north? They could become targets for boko haram. Just my thought. https://www.nairaland.com/2000294/fresh-bomb-blast-bauchi |
The body set up by the nigerian education system for entry into higher institutions of learning is joint admission and matriculation board (JAMB) I remember in 1999 when I first applied for the exam, I had to go to ikoyi, join a long que, it seemed all the students in lagos were in jamb office, we collected forms, filled, joined another long que for submission, even collection results was the same hastle thousands of students strugling to get results. That has become a thing of the past with the newly introduced "ONLINE" registeration, a situation where at the comfort of your home a candidate can register for jamb after purchasing the required scratch card from a bank. In 2011 JAMB introduced the BIOMETREIC verification of candidates for the UTME examination, a situation where tighter security measures were incooporated to eliminate impersonation of candidates, this measure had its advantages and also great dissadvantages, the inclusion of biometric verification meant candidates could no longer register the examination on their own and had to go to selected centers approved by jamb for the registeration of UTME. In certain cities the aproved centers where over 1,000 e.g lagos in some states in the north there were over 200 e.g bauchi, so the students were able to register without much difficulty. The same thing happened in 2012,2013. 2014 JAMB decided to change its mode of operation and decided to make the exam a fully computer based exam, a sittuation where the exams would be written on computer only without the use of paper and pencil, but they also decided to dissengage the services of the nearly 10,000 registeration centers nation wide and decided to limit registeration to Their state offices, and selected computer based test centers CBT centers, this means states like lagos that previously had over 1000 centers now had (as at last check) 13 centers for registeration, bauchi that used to have over 100 now have 4 yobe state 2, borno state 2 and so on...... Check www.jamb.org.ng. Presently students all over nigeria have gone back to the old days of queing in very long lines infront of jamb offices and cbt centers for the registeration of utme 2015 and also states especially in the north of nigeria have students travelling distances of 200-300 km for the registeration of an exam termed and ONLINE examination. In addition the cards sold in the bank have N4,500 clearly stated as the price for the card but every bank in nigeria sells the card at N5,000 when asked why it was sold over the stated price there is no resonable answer from the bank. I belive the monopoly of JAMB as the only body responsible for entry into higher institutions of learning is what is causing this ugly trend, and I'm using this medium to let nigerians know what is happening, please spread the word until it gets to the proper authorities and online exam should be what it is "online". Also on a more serious note, bringing large crowds of students to one place in any part of nigeria is presently a security risk, as they become targets for BOKO HARAM bombers who do not want people to go to school. Please Ikenna351, Ngwakwe, OAM4J, Afam4eva, seun put this topic in its proper place. Aminu maigari. |
Read through your post, my suggestions are you replace your cylinder head, replace your timing chain, and get a brand new set of head bolts. Doroboss. |
